Kouji could only stare at the second “bumper crop” that had appeared; first it was the Mareep, now it was the Pignite? Whoa… what’s causing them to suddenly reproduce like mad? was all he could think of; wondering if there was something unnatural at work. He could only chuckle sheepishly as he then decided to get to another one of the breeding requests that he had gotten; and this one involved his own Gallade, Rymista. He could only guess how his “main fighter” felt about spreading more of his kin—when he got word that it was going to be for the same Professor that had visited him recently, and that it was going to be free of charge to boot!
Well, nothing I can do to deny a request… it actually feels refreshing to breed something else other than Water-types… he pondered to himself as he then stepped out back, secretly relieved he didn’t have to sweet talk his Gallade into doing this. “Hey, Rymi?! Where are you?!” he began, looking around rather curiously before starting to search the Ranch grounds. It took him a while; but he’d found one of the two—and ironically it was the Yamask he’d located first; his Gallade didn’t show up until much later, after he’d finally flopped down under a tree in order to catch his breath.
“So, yeah… Rymi, she’s going to be your partner for today…” he indicated the levitating Yamask, who continued to stare at the Gallade as if she was determined to burn a hole right through the sentient being’s body! “Be nice, okay,” he added, before finally getting up and leaving the two to their own devices…

It didn’t take too long for the Professor to drop by the Ranch all the way out in Bayonada once again, this time tucking an empty Incubator under his arm. He knew that the trip would take up most part of the day; but otherwise he’d managed to block off most of his afternoon in order to allot for the trip, so here he was, finally in front of the place where he’d already picked up quite a number of avians for his own personal study and use.
It’s times like this that I can get to truly appreciate the area, he thought as a slight smirk compassed his features for the briefest of moments, before making his way across the parking lot and sliding the glass door open. As the tinkling sound of chimes from somewhere above him rung out, he then made his way over to the counter and quickly rung the bell on it, before looking around. Unsure if there was someone in the premises, he then rung the bell once again, before clearing his throat and announcing his presence.
“Uhhm, hello? I’m here for one of those eggs. What was it… the Ralts one,” he began, before placing the Incubator tucked under his arm onto the counter as he heard a shuffling noise headed out to where he waited…

This time it didn’t take too long for Izumi to get on a train and speed off to Bayonada, where Kouji’s Ranch was located. She was a bit leery on using the Transporter to send off Pokémon eggs, because what if the egg got lost along the way? It was better to be safe than sorry in this instance. The one thing that sweetened the deal was the fact that the Tepig egg she was going to be picking up had not just one, but two special moves she’d never heard about—and that those aforementioned moves were a definite asset on a Tepig!
She then tucked the Incubator under her arms as she then finally managed to hop off the train, got out of the station and hailed a taxi. The entire trip took just a couple of hours—because she’d taken one of the express lines from the Wilds headed to Shui—and once she’d arrived at the Ranch, it was close to sunset. She then proceeded across the parking lot, before sliding the door open and making a beeline for the counter. After ringing the bell a few times, she then announced her presence, “Yo, Darren! I’m here for one of those Tepig eggs! Josh is comin’ over sometime this week, so make sure to apologize to him, too! Get his Pignite and the Murkrow ready for pick-up!” before watching as a rather harried-looking assistant shot out of the back and then quickly snatched up the Incubator before proceeding to the nursery.
The transaction as over in less than ten minutes—and she was now speeding away with a Tepig egg that included a note on what nice, pretty moves it had in its starter move list scribbled on a piece of paper and stuck to the top of the occupied tank-like unit she was now carrying very carefully.

Josh would walk over to Kouji's part of the ranch in order to pick up Vigilance, but of course, he was also here to pick up the Murkrow egg that he'd requested for. Well, it was a Murkrow chick by now. Josh would smile as he would pick up the chick in his arms. "Well, hello there. I'm going to be taking care of you from now on" Josh would whisper to the baby softly, nuzzling his nose against it as it would caw affectionately. "Pignite!" Vigilance would call as he ran over. Josh laughed as he would let the Murkrow stand on his shoulder as he would hug Vigilance. "Hey Vig! You have a good time with Kouji?" Josh would ask the Pignite, who nodded. "Piiiigniiiite!" He let out happily. He sure had a good time alright. A reeeealll good time.

Today was going to be another unusual day for Kouji, so to speak—he’d gotten a request in from his first boss, and had already sent over the two that she’d be needing bred for the day. What was unusual about this request was that all of the results (if he got any) weren’t going to go to her, they were going to be ‘free game’—and one of them had already been apparently reserved by none other than one of the preferred clientele. Knowing that today was going to be another one of the slower days, he then chuckled to himself as he finally pulled away from the kitchen counter on the second floor of the housing complex that housed his Ranch, and went downstairs, cradling a mug of warm chocolate in his hands.
The Breeder then made his way to where the Transporter already contained two containment units, and he then scooped them up with his free hand—as his other hand was still occupied with the mug that he was working on. Chuckling at his rather dexterous grip, he then set out to the back and quickly sent out the two ‘mons he was going to be breeding for the day—and watched as a male version of his Comet made an appearance, as well as a Roselia that looked rather robust. He then quirked an eyebrow up in confusion, before wondering why she’d sent her Snover over—when he realized that the Roselia was female—he could tell by observing certain features that the walking bouquet possessed.
“Alright… uhhh, Jack? Don’t make things too hard for her,” he remarked with a chuckle and a knowing grin, before bowing in the two ‘mon’s direction and leaving them alone to do their thing.

It had been a while since Kouji had gotten to breeding something for the Aquarium—the orders had been pretty slow for the week, considering that he’d only gotten to one just a few days ago (and that it had already been reserved by one of their preferred clientele) and that the week was winding down to a close. Ack, better get going and get breeding! He thought to himself as he quickly bustled around, heading over to the Transporter and quickly punching in a series of codes; before watching as one containment unit clattered in and made an appearance. I know that the so-called ‘rest period’ for this one’s already passed, so time to make more of the fishies for the Dome… he continued to muse to himself as he then went out back, intent on filling in this order as fast as he could manage.
He then remembered where his Finneon loved to chill and hang out, so he then made his way over to where he knew he’d be able to find Skuld. Sure enough, the Breeder had spotted the weird fish hiding in the sheltered cove, same place as where he’d found her the last time. “So… this is going to be a repeat of what we did a few weeks ago. Hope you can perform better,” he said with a chuckle as he then sent out the Luvdisc from its containment unit. “Alright, I trust you’ll be able to get that done right away…” he ended with a chuckle as he left the Finneon and Luvdisc alone; hoping that he’d get good news in a few hours…

It was about time he’d be able to fulfill this unusual request—who knew that one of his boss’ preferred clientele was also on the hunt for what they called “starters”; which he was only getting into recently. There was one spare Tepig from the bumper crop, and Kouji had decided to take care of this one; because with the wide dearth he had when all the other types were concerned, he knew that he was leaning way too much towards the Water-type at this point.
“Well… I hope that Luella’s not using that Spinda of hers…” he muttered to himself as he then walked over to the Transporter and began punching in a series of codes; waiting until a containment unit had appeared in the receiving dish.
A few moments later, another containment unit appeared in the second dish, and he quickly scooped up that one as well. He could only guess if there were any ulterior motives with all this hunting for ‘starters’; but his first boss looked awfully happy lately—was it because due to getting the Tepig, her own ‘collection’ was finally complete?
In either case, he then walked out to the back before quickly letting the two loose—the first one turning into the Spot Panda ‘mon; but noticeably it had a different set of spotty markings as compared to the Spinda he knew was one of his fellow Breeder’s constant companions. “Heh… who knew,” he remarked with a smirk as he then scooped up the second one and sent out its occupant; watching as the cutest little fox made its appearance and barked his way.
“Whoa, whoa there Tyche. Just… don’t burn me, okay?” he said before gesturing to the Spinda. “Here’s your companion for today… hope he doesn’t make you dizzy,” he added with a chuckle, before leaving the two alone to get their game on.

What this also meant, Josh thought as he would walk over to Kouji's little building for his breeding functions, was that Josh's "starter collection" was also complete. Josh, Zu and Kouji had been working together for Josh and Zuzu to both own all of the known "starters" in the world, and Izumi's quest was complete after help from Josh and his Pignite. Now, with the help of Izumi and her Fennekin, Josh's collection was also complete.
Of course, he was also here to pick up the Snover egg, he thought as he would drop by into the office and grab the two eggs laid out for him. Huh, he wasn't so late that they hatched this time, he thought.

The Breeder was surprised to receive some orders for the week—and surprisingly they weren’t for any of the preferred clientele; but they were for the League. “Hmmmm… something about getting some certain species ready or some such for some Gym Leaders…” he muttered as he looked over the list and tried to pick out which one he could get to immediately—as two of the three requests that he’d decided to tackle had a rather complicated conundrum of deciding what Egg Moves were going to be most viable for them.
“Well, at least one of them is easy enough to get, I’ve got both the birds I need for this,” he muttered to himself with a sheepish grin on his face as he then quickly shuffled out to the back of the Ranch. It had taken him some time to find both ‘mons, but eventually he’d managed to climb several trees (and scrape his hands in the process against the bark) and locate the Vullaby and the Rufflet that he was searching for, before shushing the pair up to another tree that was slightly more separate from the orchard. “Iri, I know it’s been a while, but please be nice to Orn, okay?” he said, ticking the Vullaby affectionately before patting the Rufflet’s head feather.
“Let Neili know if something goes wrong… you know where to find her,” he added, before slowly climbing out of the tree and leaving the two to do their thing in private.
