Tsukishiro Izakaya
Serving authentic, hand-made, home-brewed Japanese cuisine
Eat, drink, be merry!
Located in a modest-sized space within the part of Shui that houses mostly the eateries as well as the outdoor market in general, the Tsukishiro Izakaya strives to bring their own special touch to the local cuisine that is normally available within the region. Mostly, people would have to travel far and wide just to get authentic, hand-made, home-cooked meals, and the establishment takes pride in using the best ingredients available; everything is made and assembled by hand using the old-fashioned methods of cooking, and all the ingredients are purchased fresh daily from the nearby market. Of course, the recipes are a secret~
The restaurant itself serves hand-made sushi rolls, as well as several other delicacies that can make one’s palate absolutely water at the smell (and sight of).
There are several semi-private “booths” lining the walls available for people who wish to dine in relative peace, as well as a common “space” for other customers to squeeze in, order, eat their meal, and talk over things while passing time. The lingering smell of ramen and other delicious food often permeates the place, while there is a modest-looking sushi bar located in the back, for those who want to snack on the “lighter fare”. A menu is readily available when asked, and there are even pictures provided of the available fare. Alcoholic drinks are usually served in the evening, while tea and other healthier options are available all day—it depends on the order one wants to make.
Operating Hours:
8am - 10pm on weekdays
9 am - 12mn on weekends, unless otherwise specified

Izumi Yamamura
Originally from Lavaridge in the Hoenn region, Izumi decided to bring along a portion of the huge staff that helps run the local family café along with her to the Nue region. After picking Shui as a place in which to start the business, she serves as owner / proprietress / traveling boss; dropping by the main location whenever there are major decisions to be made; or whenever there are new dishes that are going to be taken out for a test run and need her own discerning taste buds to approve or improve on the flavor of whatever she’s presented.Crew Members
(all are NPCs)Head chef of the Tsukishiro, he's the big, burly guy you do not want to mess with. He is rarely seen out in the restaurant front, but his presence is mostly felt through the dishes that come out of the kitchen, all made with his expert hands.
The head chef of the sushi bar located in the back of the restaurant near the kitchen, she's particularly chatty when people ask her about how she made the rolls that she serves.
One of the wait staff, she (along with her younger sister) normally split wait-staff duties between them; such as taking orders, delivering the cooked food, and general clean-up of the place, among other things.
Menu
The menu of the restaurant is printed with pictures of the available delicacies, along with the corresponding prices (actual prices to be figured out once this gets off the ground). There are some dishes that are only available during certain times; this is due to the changing seasons that happen yearly. If one has a sharp eye, some of the dishes that are listed in the "Must Try" area change with the pace; this happens on a monthly basis, mostly influenced by suggestions that the customers leave for the staff.
Eat all you can...?!
Normally, the premise of the entire place is to find a place to sit down, order food, talk while waiting—and start chowing down once the food arrives. There are some occasions, however, when people start making bets on whether this person or another can eat this much; and the restaurant plays host to some of the more…unusual “eat all you can contests” that crop up; mostly sponsored by the regular patrons. So it is highly possible that you may walk into the joint and find yourself in the middle of a contest, so always keep your stomach ready if you’re challenged!
Special Orders
The staff of the Tsukishiro is always open to new ideas, and in fact encourages the customers to leave suggestions. The menu itself is basically shaped by the people, made for the people. So don't be surprised to see the menu changing every so often—your favorite might be there one day, and gone the next. It’s the receptiveness of the people, and the willingness of the crew to try out new things, that makes the place one to visit—who knows, your suggestion for a particular bowl of ramen might become the next big hit!
Ramen Fridays
Fridays have been unofficially declared as the “Ramen” day of the Izakaya; and there are long lines that result because of the people flocking over to their spot in order to take a taste. Want it hot? Spicy? More noodles, more toppings? The wait staff will gladly oblige to your requests—just don’t take too long eating, because there’s a lot more people outside waiting for their turn at a fresh, hot bowl of the savory noodles.
