APPEARANCE
Kouji is one tall individual; he stands at 5 ‘ 10”—and hates it when people call him anything synonymous to a skyscraper because he just simply towers over everyone else he knows. Whenever he goes out and about, you’d see him wearing extremely comfortable clothes—shirts, jeans, along with comfortable sneakers. Whenever he’s out taking pictures of either Pokemon or the surroundings, there is usually a camera slung around his neck, and a pair of shades and a cap usually make their additional appearance on his person as well.
He also loves wearing formal collared shirts, but has this quirk of leaving the top button unclasped, because he hates that extremely stuffy feeling. If he were forced to wear something extremely formal, he’d let the necktie hang loose from his neck, instead of its usual “prim and proper” appearance (blame it on his carefree personality). Despite his lanky appearance (and seemingly bottomless appetite), he never seems to gain weight, as he is constantly tipping the scales at approximately 137 pounds (62 kg for other conversions).

PERSONALITY
Brash. There’s no other word to describe Kouji; he’s got a very headstrong personality—and would eventually get into trouble whenever he rushes into anything without thinking things over first. He has this “Leap before you look” policy on life; and it’s always gotten him into some form of trouble—be it intentional or accidental—and he always wonders why luck is dealing him “the bad cards”, so to say. Underneath his seemingly rough exterior is the sweetest, kindest person you would ever meet—if you’d manage to get past his pride (which he wears on his sleeve).
He’s a very open and carefree individual, so anyone can immediately tell whatever is on his mind just by observing his general reaction to things going on around him. Some may label him as a “prick”; but otherwise he’s got a good head on his shoulders and is a sound source of advice within his own circle of friends. He’s got this little niggling secret though, which he absolutely refuses to share with anyone else, because they’d think he’s nuts or something (see next section for more details).
Psychic Traits: He has some semblance of precognition (the ability to see the future) powers yet he doesn’t realize it. Although, he’d been seeing random “things” from time to time, but he cannot exactly place them if they’re happening to him, or they’re someone else’s ‘supposed’ visions of one of many possible outcomes in the future. Maybe it’s the influence of being around Psychic and Ghost-types so much; maybe it’s been passed down from someone on his family tree, he just wants to get to know how these powers work (and why they chose him instead of his siblings) on a better scale.
As of now he’s still struggling to identify where these visions are coming from, and the proper manifestation will be revealed in due course in future RP’s.
Ambitions: He wants to expand his self-made “empire” by loaning his services to other people who are too lazy or just that unlucky while searching for Pokémon; and he eventually wants to become a top-class Breeder known in all circles; since he’s just starting out, things have been difficult for him at the moment. He’s also a part-time photographer, and when need be, he can and will turn up anywhere with his trusty partner, taking pictures like crazy.
He also wants to challenge the Gyms; and one of his biggest idols is Sabrina, the leader of the Saffron Gym located in Kanto.

HISTORY
Born in Vermillion City to a first mate who served aboard one of the other cruise ships that plied the regional routes and a shrine caretaker who hails all the way from Celestic Town in Sinnoh, one could say Kouji’s life is “international”. Being the youngest of four male siblings, he’s experienced moving around a lot—what with his father always being shipped off to who-knew-where. While the family waited for the head to return home, Kouji experienced a life of simplicity in Vermillion—always playing chase around the city limits with his older brothers; or otherwise tumbling around in the sand and surf as normal kids would. When he turned 10, however, things had changed—the entire family was suddenly uprooted and they moved to one of the far-flung regions, Unova.
The entire family then set up their new “home base” in Castelia City; and that was where the rest of Kouji’s life began—he began messing around with one of his older brother’s cameras; and then eventually fell in love with the world of photography. As he came of age at 13 (in the Sakuraba family at least, the time one is deemed “ready” for the world is 13) he was then given his first Pokémon, the Duskull which he nicknamed “Alexander”. That was the sign that meant that he could now journey out into the world; and begin his own journey. He did that; although he was more of a wandering photographer, always going around Unova’s cities, taking pictures of the sights—and of the interesting Pokémon native to that area.
After some time he began… seeing things. They were random, blurry visions—but as of late they’ve becoming clearer; the only thing was that he couldn’t place where they were coming from! While he was struggling with the ‘visions’, he continued his part-time photography job, and eventually came across his other Pokémon, a female Misdreavus whom he nicknamed Elizabeth. As he spent more and more time travelling with his Ghost-type partners, the visions became more clearer; but he couldn’t place who the people were—and he eventually came upon his oldest brother, who’d set up a Breeding Ranch located in Mistralton City.
He then stayed over for a while, helping his sibling get his business off of the ground; and that was where he fell in love with the breeding business. Eventually, he left Mistralton and then continued his journey around Unova, looking for the perfect place to set up his own breeding business—and finally decided on Humilau City to be his “base of operations”; what with the climate in the area resembling that of his former hometown, Vermillion City. Also, there’s a local lucrative business there hat involves the photo board, so on his off days—whenever he’s not busy taking care of Alexander and Elizabeth, or learning the basics of Breeding—he can be spotted here, taking pictures for the tourists who drop by.
