STILL A WIP!
Hi! I'm Josh, and this is Jackass!
Okay, I'm kidding there. But.... This is the plotting page for my smart-ass of a character. He's the only one I got, so... Go easy on him, I guess? .
In all seriousness, this character is... Well, a combination of formulas, really. His template, which includes appearance and much of his personality, all comes from that of a character that I've played on freelance for about 11 years now, who I just recently semi-retired due to personal issues with certain writers, and muse issues that came from that. Of course, that character's spirit remains alive in the form of many of his traits being brought here for Mr. Dragomir. Which I think could make for some interesting RP with the various personalities that frequent characters here on Epoch. Of course, this character IS different, so if you've RP'd with an incarnation that comes from the template (I'm looking at you, Anju) elsewhere, expect a lot of differences, despite the similarities that come. I mean, if I played the exact same person everytime, what fun is there to be had, right? And development over time on this board will only make the character change and develop in different ways that much more. For that, of course I welcome RP of any sort, from anyone who asks. Seriously, I'm open to RP at the sound of a PM, or a Skype message. Whichever works.
I'm quite adamant about plot planning and at least getting some bare basics down for threads before I start them. Try not to be surprised if I go to you once a thread is decided on for little things like location, maybe a basis on what we'd like to go down. I see it as common courtesy to do that with every writer I RP with, out of respect for them, and to get the best RP possible that benefits all parties.
Again, I'm always happy to RP. Don't be shy about asking, ever. I will almost never turn someone down and I will RP happily and gladly. It's what I do, it's my escape, I love doing this.
Do be warned though... I'm not so good at PVP battling at the moment. Maybe over time, I might be able to learn, but... For now, yeah. Don't expect a lot of competitive mumbo jumbo out of me. As well, anything related to competitive battling and stats... You'll probably lose me on, if it relates to the RP. Again, I can learn, but... Not too into it, sadly.
Alright, to start us off, here's a transcript from my app, for convenience sake. Next post, I'll start going over relationships and the like.
Happy RPing!

From The App, For Convenience:
Name: Josh Dragomir
Alias: Josh
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Region: Hoenn
Class: Trainer
Occupation: Travelling Trainer
Rank: N/A
APPEARANCE
Description: Josh is a well built young man, experienced in taking care of the Pokemon his parents had when they were hotshot Trainers, as well as helping with the breeding center they opened. His experience with regularly exercising with them, as well as going to incredibly great lengths in order to retrieve lost or ones in danger has made him tough and well toned, as well as very athletic and agile. At 6'1 and 215lbs, with fair skin and shining brown eyes, on his head rests long blonde hair, with a side bang going to the right. And, of course you can't miss the beard and stache combo.
Clothing-wise, a dark blue bandana rests on his neck, just over a t-shirt of the same color, and a custom black leather jacket with a blue pokeball icon hanging on the right shoulder. With black gloves that are perfect for Pokeball throwing, black splash pants and (also) black boots great for overcoming many types of terrain, Dragomir is ready for a Pokemon adventure any day of the week. Clothing reference if you really need one.
PERSONALITY
Personality: Josh can be headstrong and stubborn at times, but regularly he is a kind sort, generous and always happy to help someone in need. There is almost nothing he won't do for someone in need, especially someone that he cares for. He's also incredibly witty and sarcastic, and often enjoys making others laugh and bringing spirits up. In terms of his Pokemon, he is incredibly caring, and will go to miraculous lengths to ensure their safety, no matter the cost when it comes to his own well being. He has a strong sense of justice, and won't take kindly to any sort of criminal organization that he ends up running into. Josh, of course, is experienced in leadership roles, but can adhere to whatever the situation demands. If needed to take charge, Josh has proven in the past to be a quick thinker, and his intelligence shines bright when the situation demands it. When determined, there is likely no stopping him. During battle, his demeanor varies depends on the situation. During a friendly battle, Josh may tease and joke, but is also compassionate if needed, and is not against stopping a battle if his own Pokemon or if the opponent's Pokemon is badly injured. Against an evil Trainer though... Especially if personally victimized, his battle style may change, as will his behavior. Expect much less mercy in this regard.
Ambitions: Josh's dream was always to become a highly successful Pokemon Trainer, ever since he was a child. Being held back on those dreams has only made his will to do so even stronger, and his aspirations and hopes for himself are high. He hopes to catch and raise a ton of Pokemon, challenge the Elite Four, and of course the Champion. But of course, he also just wants to enjoy the adventure along the way, meet many new friends, and see all sorts of different Pokemon. Becoming the Champion of the Hoenn Region, in his eyes, would be his ultimate redemption for what he failed to do back in his old home.
HISTORY
History: Josh Dragomir was born to Philip and Serena Dragomir, both accomplished hotshot Pokemon Trainers in their hayday. Of course, after retiring, they became Breeders and opened their own Breeding Center to take care of the Pokemon of others, as well as breeding Pokemon and selling Eggs to travelling Trainers to add to their own Pokemon teams. As a child, Josh was heavily involved in the process, and spent his days when not in school just spending time with and taking care of the Pokemon, whether they be the star teams his parents had, or those they were taking care of in the Breeding Center. Due to this, at an early age Josh harbored dreams of becoming a Pokemon Trainer himself. Sadly, when he turned ten, his parents forbade him from going on a Pokemon Journey, explaining the trials and tribulations they had to suffer, as well as being away from home, just to go on said journey, and they wouldn't want to be at fault if he was killed via the dangers a Pokemon Journey brought. Regardless of this, Josh would continue working with the Pokemon, and became more and more involved with their care and even going to heavy lengths in order to keep them safe when trouble came.
Eventually, after graduating from the region's educational system, Josh would be pushed to pursue a post-secondary education to become a Psychologist and make a living for himself. Of course, after his first year of post-secondary, and his first year away from the Pokemon he loved so much, the threat that was slowly overtaking the region would strike a personal tragedy to his family, taking away the families Raichu, who was both his father's partner and a beloved family pet. This would drive Josh to defy his families wishes and head off on a journey whether they liked it or not. He would receive a Torchic which he named Vulcan, from the local professor in the next town over, and would later save a Pichu who was dying in the forest. After nursing it back to health, he would name the Pichu "Lightning" and the Pichu became his closest companion.
During his travels, he would also end up catching both a Furfrou and a Pidgeotto, who would both become members of his team as he fought to stop this menace threatening the region along with all the other trainers within it.
Sadly, it was all for nothing, as the threat became too strong for even the combined efforts of the region's people to counter. With certain doom looming, and Josh's mission failed, his parents would contact him and let him know that they were moving out of the region to escape it, and implored him to take his Pokemon and come with them. Begrudgingly, he would accept, and would leave his life of fighting behind.
Finally, the move to Hoenn would be complete. Finding a place to live in Littleroot Town, known for it's new beginnings, Josh's family was impressed by the potential he showed as a Trainer, and the bravery he showed in going out to fight certain doom with little to no experience. And thus, when they arrived in Littleroot, he was given the blessing to finally undertake the Pokemon Journey that he had wanted all along.
Of course, Josh would never forget his failure. With that burning in his heart, he set out, determined to redeem himself in his eyes, and to become one of the greatest Pokemon Trainers to ever live.
