[attr="class","longnotes"]time to find alien shtuff, sylvie tagged in to be free to call and pester them both as they go. i figured it'd be faster if we skipped / sped through the trip to the ruins, but i can edit the post to rewind it some if you'd prefer. [attr="class","entag"]Ace Venchurro Eileen Paulsen |
After such a long work week, Engel just wanted to spend the next couple of days he had off fast asleep in his bed in his apartment. Maybe he’d watch some movies and hang out with his little sister. They’d go visit Fina in the hospital and then head back home and relax since it was storming so much lately there wasn’t much else to do... Or well, all of that had been his original plans up until Sera decided Engel need to go make friends. The implications of that and being locked out of his own apartment for it left a rather sour mood on the Werner, but he’d turn just in time to see the unfortunate Ace Venchurro stumbling upon the scene and that led him to follow his little prodigy back to the Venchurro residence – an apartment in the same building but a different floor. After trying the two tossed ideas back and forth, Ace was out of suggestions and Engel had nothing to offer, so in turn he went to the one person he knew would always have some kind of crazy idea up her sleeve.
Oh Eileen. Ace freaked at the thought of calling her, but Engel simply shut him up with a typical foot to the face until after the call was done with. When Engel had pulled up his foot from Ace’s face, he walked off and returned with a bag and coat he promptly tossed at Ace. When the younger lad asked what the bag was for, Engel simply said “Things and plans. Pack up for a survival test, it’s been a while since you’ve had a challenge like this. Please bring Ziggy and Bertha for the sake of you not dying.” Then walked off to go gather his own gear. After a hour or so, he’d return to Ace’s place, barge right in, double check what Ace had packed for this survivalist expedition – proceeded to add a few more things to the sack – and then dragged his most unfortunate dork of a friend out into the storm.
However, their expedition through the flooded and storming city of Wizen wouldn’t be the challenge. Flying low on Bertha, Engel would navigate their trip actually outside of the town and a ways into the desert. Out here, the storms had seemed to ease up a bit more, but there was still a drizzling rain that made the sands a bit dangerous to walk along. So they’d have to ride a bit further until they came to a giant canyon Engel would force them to enter. Ignoring the rushing waters below, their path would twist into a massive hole in the canyon walls where they’d finally be out of the rain and able to actually walk, since the ground was just moist rock. Hopping off of the Tropius’s back, Engel would take a moment to wipe the water from his face and glance back to make sure Ace was alright before mentioning “You can put her away now, we’re here.”
Shortly after making the remark, Engel would tap a pokéball on his belt and let out the gift he received from Ace. Ven the very stubborn Noibat would take to perching on Engel’s shoulder while looking like his typical huffy puffy self, despite the fact they were currently in a rather dark cave so he should’ve felt right at home here. Engel took to pulling out his satellite phone to pull back up the details of the make-shift quest Eileen had sent them on. Ace could take this as a sign to prepare himself for the nightmare the dreaded quest of Eileen the Feline Queen.
