APPEARANCE
Ace has a look that every girl, and guy, would swoon over. He has the hair, the body and the face to attract anyone and everyone. This hair is a normal brown color. However, some say that it's a cinnamon like color. Others say it's maroon. In reality, Ace tends to dye his hair and go back and forth between the three colors. It'll fade, going back to it's normal brown, but he'll re-dye it the month after. But no matter what he does to his hair, Ace keeps it short and uncombed. A lot of people tend to run their hand through his hair, catching all the knots and causing him to cry out in pain as he swats their hand away.
Underneath his very messy hair are pretty sky blue eyes. Some may say that they’re ocean colored, others say they’re baby blue. Ace doesn't give a shit and lets anyone say what they want. They’re sky blue. He’s tired of correcting everyone.
His body is average built. However, Ace does take pride in his muscles.Even though he doesn’t have any, he likes to pretend he does. If there is one thing that Ace is proud of, it’s his height. However, that’s pretty average too. 5’10 isn’t something to brag about, is it? Well, to Ace it is apparently.
To add onto his good looks, he has three bandages that hide scars on his face. We’ll get into the background of those later. But his scars are pretty much healed up at this point, he doesn't really care if they’re showing but he feels as though the bandages look better than keeping them revealed. He also wears a pair of bright colored headphones around his neck. The headphones are plugged into his phone or mp3 player that plays nothing but piano like music. Orchestra is something he listens to as well, but it's mostly piano and instrumental music. He plays it just loudly enough so he can hear the music without having them directly on his ears. Everyone is surprised when they find out what type of music he listens to, and it's no real reason other than he loves the sound of these types of songs.

PERSONALITY
To put Ace in one word, he is a jokester. There, that’s it. That’s all I have to say. I summed him up in one word.
Well, if you really want some more details…
Ace is a jokester, but not your typical one.
Light Hearted: This young man barely takes anything seriously. And if he does, it has to be extremely serious. There’s a few things that will bring down his mood for a short period of time, like his ramen shop being out of stock or being rejected by a girl. However, bringing down Ace’s spirits is something that not many are capable of. Ace takes it upon himself to lighten up the mood whenever he can. That is, whenever he’s not napping on the job or stealing all the sandwiches from the lunch room. He is extremely optimistic. Insult him? Alright that’s fine. He doesn't really give a shit about your opinions about him. He’s like Mr. Brightside, there’s no downside. There’s always a silver lining. However, some may find this annoying. If they spoke up about though, there would be a slight moment of disappointment in himself because he didn't realize he was being annoying, but he would quickly hide it and shove it off as nothing and leave the person alone. He feels as though he has to be in the line of work that he’s in. The Interpol’s office is sometimes dull and boring, where would they be without their happy go lucky tracker?
Naïve and Oblivious: A guy like this would obviously be after all the girls, right? Correct! However, Ace doesn't flirt that much as one would expect he would. In fact, he is painfully naïve to romance. He’ll throw a flirt or two towards a girl, but he often forgets about flirting if he actually gets to talk to them. Then, if the tables turn and they’re the ones flirting, it goes completely over his head.
This isn’t just in romance either. Ace has a habit of taking things the wrong way, but in a good way. A comment that was meant to be insulting could be taken as a complement to him. This often angers criminals or basically anyone really. Most of his actions are cringe worthy. If he hurts someone’s feeling he’ll instantly regret it and say sorry. However, people have to tell him this. Sometimes, he can be as thick as a brick. Being blunt with him is completely okay, he doesn't take many things to heart. Ace can be a very good person to rant to.
Kind & Loyal: Ace is a kind person. Complementing his light-hearted nature, Ace is the one who focuses more on the clients on the cases he’s working on. He’s most likely to run off and disappear for a minute or even a day. When he comes back, he was probably off helping someone with a minor job or even just comforting someone or a Pokemon. He can go above and beyond the normal standards of a friend. He would go to great lengths for a stranger even if he felt as though they needed help. However, this can back fire on him quite easily. And it has in the past before. He was too trusting of a stranger and they ended up being the bad guy he needed to catch. Ace has been more careful in the future, however, he has reverted back to his good ways at times and actually gets scolded for it sometimes.
There’s been many times where Ace has been taken advantage of because of his not so smartness and kindness. Some may call it his fatal flaw. However, he simply doesn't learn. It would most likely take his heart being broken, by a best friend or someone more, to change him from his super-duper kindness way.
10 Year Old in a 19 Year Old's Body: When Ace does get down, which is rare, he tends to avoid everyone around him. Even his Pokemon get concerned sometimes. It takes a close friend to really get Ace down, whether it was through a fight or a misunderstanding. But Ace tends to deal with it the wrong way. Either by drowning himself in video games to avoid reality or simply just not talking to anyone. He lives with his Pokemon, which makes it hard to avoid everyone completely. While Ziggy and Bertha are his closest Pokemon, even they have a hard time trying break him out of his upset state.
Hidden serious side: Things aren't always fun and games, and Ace knows this well, especially after his first year in Interpol. It isn't often that Ace's serious side comes to light, but there have been certain cases that have him switching from his dorkish self to an actual cop. There's been a few situations outside of Interpol that brought Ace's serious side out, but it doesn't appear often and only those in Interpol have ever seen this side.
Honest… to a point: There are times where Ace can tell you his honest opinion. However, if he feels as though it’s too honest he’ll keep it to himself. He dislikes hurting the feelings of those who he’s close with. It’s just not in his nature. He can joke all he wants, Ace knows for a fact everyone knows when he’s joking. And if someone takes it too personally they can always tell him. He doesn't mind. Sometimes, he doesn't know what lines he’s stepping over before it’s too late.
Energetic: His attention span is… not very long. One moment he’s there, one moment he’s here. Focusing on something unimportant has always been hard for Ace. Even on cases, if it’s a minor tracking case he gets lost in his own thoughts. He’s generally one of those people who stay up all night and pass out during the day then repeat the entire thing the next day. Ace has a habit of pointing fingers and yelling something out dramatically whenever he realizes something. He carries around a fake pair of glasses for times where his intelligence shines through. … Which is rare, in all honesty. It is there though.
Intelligent… in some cases: If Ace wasn't a genius, there would be no way he would be the best Tracker at Interpol. He’s all book smart, leaving little room for the common sense sometimes. He has his moments of brilliance, but it’s mostly with tracking cases. He’s extremely smart in that sense. Ace has some battle smarts as well, but for the most part his Pokemon are extremely well trained and can handle themselves in battle. He can generally get himself out of sticky situations, however, if there’s a simple answer he may over think it and completely miss it. Woosh woosh goes the answer.
Forgetful & Klutzy: I think these two words simply speak for themselves. He is terrible at multitasking. Just don’t even try it with him. This guy can’t even hold a phone and doodle. It’s one thing at a time or he’ll completely fail. He is forgetful too. Even though instructions were given to him not even a minute before, he’ll stare blankly at you and ask for you to repeat them. Focusing just isn't one of his strong points, never was.
Hero Complex: Ace has this thing about him where he... well, he's the hero of his own story. He doesn't even realize it himself. Maybe it stems from his loyalty to his Pokemon and friends, and sometimes even strangers. He's like that protagonist in a book who wants to save his best friends or companions at any risk, forgetting about any danger he's putting himself in. However, being in Interpol for a few years now, he's learned to realize that he can't save everyone. But he still tries his hardest to do so.
However, his 'have to save people' thing is only a personality trait that comes out during work. His real hero complex is making sure that everyone is happy. The reason he joined Interpol in the first place was because he enjoyed helping all sorts of people and Pokemon, but once he saw how serious the office was there was yet another goal he had. Ace now felt it to take it upon himself to cheer up everyone a bit, especially his boss, Engel.
Whenever someone comments on his last name he goes silent and simply tells them not to bring it up. He hates it when he has to say his full name on a case. He always gets teased and taunted because of it. He hates his dad for his name and how he has to pass it on if he ever had kids. Oh the pain of embarrassment and puns.

HISTORY
Ace hated his childhood. He rarely speaks of it to others. Why you ask?
To begin with, he was born in one of the most boring towns in Unova. Lacunosa Town. Everyone, even though they would always deny it, believed that the monster was still out there. He was never allowed out during the night, despite his adventurous nature back then. There have been many times where Ace had broken or sprained a limb because he was too reckless with himself, time and time again he would try to sneak out, but always foiled by his father. His parents probably can't even count the hospital bills that they had piled up making sure Ace didn't seriously injure himself. It was a good thing that his father has a well paying job as a tech guru. He would get many job offers designing websites for well known companies and such. Because of this, Ace had a lot of time with his dad to learn about technology and knew how to handle a computer on an advanced level by the age of 9. He was well above other kids his age by this point in time. And yet he still couldn't figure out a plan of how to escape the house during nightfall.
His father had gotten a habit of staking out near the door around nightfall and just wait for Ace to try and escape. This continued until he was around 10, he finally gave up on trying... or at least, that's what his parents had thought.
Unknown to his father, he was simply waiting for the perfect time to sneak out. Ace would sit in his room and just make out plans on how to escape through the night. Not really escape though, he absolutely loved his parents and had a pretty good relationship with both of them. However, both of them were strict when it came to rules. Because of this, Ace's adventurous side was always kept under control. The plans were hidden under his bed, which was a territory that neither of his parents ever wanted to go into. It was a complete mess that only Ace could figure out. All of those 'clean your room' times ended up in what's under his bed. His parents simply gave up trying to clean it out, they were in complete shock to learn that Ace could easily pick out whatever he wanted from underneath it. He used this to his advantage to hide things, like his so called escape plans.
Finally, shortly after he had turned ten, he had gained the ability to stay up past midnight. Which gave him the window he needed to get out during the night. His house sat on top of one of the walls in Lacunosa Town, so wandering around during night would be difficult. Once his parents had fallen asleep, or more so passed out from trying to keep up with Ace, he took a flashlight, a small pack of gummies and a backpack and proceeded to slowly make his way to the door. He glanced back towards his parents room with a smirk as he opened the door quietly.
As he stood outside, he turned on the flashlight and began to wander through the town. Practically everyone was asleep and inside their homes, except for the few outsiders that were standing outside the Pokemon Center down below. Ace made his way down the wall but quickly stopped in his tracks when he heard some rustling from the bushes below. A lot of things went through his mind. His parents were right, he was going to die right then and there, he never kissed a girl. However, when he heard a pained cry, Ace leaned over the railing and squinted his eyes. His blue eyes widened as he dropped his flashlight and made a mad dash down the wall and to the other side.
His parents were woken up by the cries of their son at the door. Thinking that something bad had happened to him, they both rushed to the door and opened it up only to find their 10 year old son holding a badly wounded Zigzagoon. Ace had tears in his eyes and begged for his parents to take him and the Zigzagoon to the Pokemon Center below. Forgetting about punishing their son for only this moment, they rushed the Zigzagoon to the Pokemon Center.
Once the Zigzagoon was being treated, Ace's parents laid down the law for him and gave him a good 10 minute speech on why he should never go out during the night again. However, they were stopped when they noticed their son had a nasty scar on the left side of his face. His mother tended to the wound and they finally sat down with him and asked what had happened.
It was then that Ace explained the Zigzagoon was being attacked by a group of Purrloin. He had rushed down to try and help the Zigzagoon. As much as he hated seeing the Pokemon being hunt, he had to wait for his chance to get the Zigzagoon out of there. After a moment, when the Purrloin had backed off to strike again, Ace dashed past and grabbed the Zigzagoon. However, he didn't escape one of the Purrloin's claws as he rushed past. However, he completely ignored his wound and had to make sure the Zigzagoon was taken care of first.
After hearing his story, his parents couldn't help but feel a bit proud of their aloof son. However, his mother advised him to be more careful. Once Nurse Joy had came out and said the Zigzagoon would be fine, she handed the small Zigzagoon to Ace. Ever since then, Ace was never allowed outside during night time and his parents kept a chain lock on the door. But he felt as though it was worth it, he found a new friend in a Zigzagoon. He named the Zigzagoon Ziggy and the two have been inseparable since then.
It took only three years after that when Ace decided he wanted to see the world. Along with his best buddy, Ziggy, the two had traveled far and wide. During one point in their travels, when Ace was ready to leave for another region, the two had came across a Tropius that had been rejected by its friends. Ace took it upon himself to take the Tropius in. However, earning the trust of a wild Pokemon was something that Ace couldn't do easily. He delayed his ship for about a week, only to try and gain the trust of the Tropius. However, it wasn't until one night that he had finally gained the Tropius' trust.
Ace couldn't believe it when a group of Lieperd were attacking the Tropius. This time, the Pokemon had simply blocked itself off from anyone else and wasn't eating. The Lieperd saw the Tropius as a easy target. However, Ace and Ziggy managed to drive away the Lieperd, but not without Ace suffering another battle scar. This time, on the right side of his face. He added another bandage on his face after he had made sure the Tropius was alright. After what seemed like forever, the Tropius grew friendly towards Ace and joined his team. Out of annoying the Tropius, he named her Big Bertha. However, he only calls her Big Bertha when she's in trouble. Otherwise she's simply known as Bertha.
With that out of the way, Ace had finally traveled to Orre. But not without suffering his final battle scar. This time, it was from a Skitty from a angry feline owner who he accidentally cut off in line for the buffet. It was at this point Ace decided he absolutely hated feline Pokemon. They were never kind to him. With the final bandage on his nose, Ace departed for Orre and began making himself known.
He had been in Orre ever since he arrived there when he was thirteen. In the four years that he had spent in Orre, he had gotten a lot accomplished. Not only had Ace developed a skill for tracking down people or Pokemon, but he had been approached by Interpol to join them. However, at first, he rejected their offer. To him, the Interpol work line was way too serious. Even though he was a skilled tracker, he didn't feel as though it was his thing. But, after some convincing, Interpol had managed to grab the skilled tracker onto their team. Ace was convinced simply because he would be helping both people and Pokemon. However, the work line did prove to be too serious. So, Ace took it upon himself to liven up the Orre office a bit more. Much to the disapproval of some of his co-workers.
Ace's tracking skills stem from the four years he was in Orre. Ziggy has been compared to canine Pokemon before. The two make an amazing team when it comes to tracking down someone. The Zigzagoon is extremely capable of sneaking in and out of places without being noticed. Because of his, Ace has taken up jobs here and there that require tracking. Ace's skills started when he was 10 years old though. He could easily find something underneath the mess of his bed. When he arrived in Orre, one thing lead to another where he was tracking down a kid's lost Pokemon or helping find some petty criminals that he was asked to find. They completely sucked at it at first, but after a year or two of enhancing their skills they finally figured it out. Now, he is one of the best trackers on the Interpol team, even though he doesn't seem like someone who would work in the police force. However, having that comic relief character has proved useful in some cases.
After a year in Orre, he spends his days annoying his co-workers and occasionally picking up a Pokemon here and there. Some people have told him to go out into the world and challenge the gyms, but Ace always tells them it's just not as fun as his current job. However, he has said that he may end up challenging a gym or two but much later down the road when his Pokemon are more up for it.
In most of his free time, way before he joined Interpol, Ace had picked up a hobby of not only listening to piano but playing it as well. He's extremely good at playing it too, practically being able to play anything by ear. Ace had been playing since childhood, a simple hobby he picked up and his parents approved, buying him a piano to practice with. His fast fingers helps when working on tracking cases as well. However, since he joined Interpol, he's found no time to play it constantly anymore and it's only a side hobby now. And his aprtmant couldn't hold a piano if he wanted to either. It's just one of the many things that surprise people about Ace.
