"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
(Seeing as Lugia is gone next post, im calling Ko-ken and Enzo back early)
"God dammit!"
Yumi fell to her knees and slammed a fist into the cold steel of her metagross, the flying pokemon unphased as Yumi grit her teeth and continued to slam her fist into the top of her pokemon, irritated and angered by how pathetic her efforts in taking on this god were. Her attempts to hurt it just turned into a new attack that was hurled right towards her friends. How could she have been such an idiot!? She just lay atop her metagross, on her knees, eyes watering even amongst the thick rain as she watched the immense boulder hurtle towards Josh. She wanted to scream out for him to move, but knew it was futile under the immense sound of the rain.
First Enzo and Ko-ken, now...why does my wrist feel like it's on fire?
With a hiss at the pain she felt on her wrist Yum lifted her arm and examined her mega stone bracelet, eyes turning wide as she watched the keystone seem to burn a bright white, before spiralling through the colours orange and blue, violently transforming between the shades until it settled back at it's original colour, leaving the red head confused as to why it had done something so strange. As though to answer her question, a roar of a pokemon broke the roaring of the rain.
"CHAAAAAAAR!"
Eyes still wide Yumi's head snapped back towards Josh. A blur of black and blue hurtled past Fawkes and slammed into the gigantic boulder heading towards them. Yumi could only watch in awe as both Enzo, now sporting the signature black and blue of his mega X form, and Ko-ken, his fists seeming bloodie and cut, likely from beating his way through the earlier ancient power to survive, threw themselves at death once more, slamming their forms into the rock and each innitiating their own powerful tremors in the form of an earthquake. The boulder continued to push them back, albeit it was much slower thanks to their initial impact, and before long, the collected earth shattered once more, Ko-ken clearly exhausted from the effort, and Enzo glaring down the Lugia that had still taken their priority.
"....YOU ASS HOLES!"
Yumi wasn't sure if they had just remembered she was there, or if her scream had actually pierced the storm, but amidst all the chaos, the two pokemon turned towards their trainer, Ko-ken seeming immediately relieved Yumi had managed to bring out another one of her pokemon to survive the fall he had forced her into. Enzo was equally calmed, despite the clear quivering image of their tainer on the verge of tears, everything seemed calm for a moment.
It didn't last long.
Spotting the next aeroblast out of the corner of his eye, Enzo used another dragon dance to hurtle himself towards Yumi, gripping the edge of the metagross she was riding and forcing it out of the way, Ko-ken catch Yumi as the sudden force made her lose her footing, holding her close in his arms and muttering what Yumi could only assume were apologies, and the equivalent of saying "Thank arceus your okay." Yumi wanted to hug him back, but immediately pushed herself from him, eyes back on the prize, standing strong with her pokemon back beside her. A charizard beneath her feet, a Metagross at the ready, and her closest friend beside her.
"Okay guys! We made a mistake, but it's our mistake. We may have called this thing here but it's our job to send him home! Caeser!" The Metagross shook a little in the dragon's grasp. "You mind?" The Metargoss shook once again, knowing Yumi's plan and all for it. If they were gonna have to send this thing back to where it came from, they were gonna have to send a clear message that it was not wanted here. Not anymore at least. "Alrigt boys...Activate plan draconic bombardment!"
Everyone of Yumi's pokemon were forced to roll their eyes as Enzo continued to fly towards the apex predator of the storms, Enzo used his gathered strength to fling the gravity-less metagross towards lugia, the metallic monster using his psych up to not only gain the speed of his thrower, but also the attack power. His body began to burn a bright white as he came within range of the lugia, and then...
Boom!~
The Metagross' powerful explosion tore throug the darkened atmosphere, unleashing a powerful wave of distruction in such close proximity to the Lugia, Yumi would be surprised if it didn't at least get a bruise.

(Well then, guess I'm doing this earlier then expected)
Well, to be honest, Lugia did kind of assault them first. All they did was wake it up so they could feed it pancakes and rub its belly. Its cries of... Well, okay, it wasn't anger and fury, but more power certainly lended assets to that fact. But that didn't really matter when Lugia let out an earsplitting roar once again, causing Josh to let out a growl as they prepared for whatever in the twin hells this thing had planned next. More thunder and lightning spurted around the area. Who knew that this storm would not stop, long after this little fiasco was over? Well, he certainly didn't know this. But he would before long.
Lugia would use the rocks against them, sending them in a large burst toward Fawkes. Josh growled, but quickly ordered "Dragon Dance" to allow Fawkes to move out of the way of the Aeroblast. But that left them without time to get out of the way of the big rock! Josh took a deep breath as his fists shook.... They weren't going to make it! Why was his hand tingling...
Josh held up his right hand, exposing the black gauntlet with the keystone inside, which was glowing. The keystone shone bright, and Fawkes was enveloped in a glow as their hearts for a moment became one... Their growing bond combined with the keystone produced a ray of light that when it vanished...
"GRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRR!"
The black and blue visage of Mega Charizard X was a sight to behind, but even the roar of Fawkes didn't stop that rock. "We can't dodge it now, Fawkes! Hit it head on!" Josh would call as Fawkes would let out a loud roar and launch himself toward the rock with Flare Blitz. Josh would peek over beside him as the rocketing Fawkes hit the rock, noting Enzo had made himself known in attacking the rock as well. With their combined power, the rock was shattered to pieces, and the Flare Blitz had quite a bit of momentum left thanks to Enzo, sending the Charizard flying aggressively straight for Lugia.
"Lightning! Use Nasty Plot, Thunder!" Josh would call, hoping to maximize his power. With the combined power of Mega Charizard X, Dragon Dance, and Nasty Plot, used as many times as they were, these two couldn't get much more powerful then they were now. Lightning's eyes gleamed as he released that stored electricity....
"Pika.... CHUUUUUUUU!" Lightning let out in an ear piercing scream, loosing all of the stored electricity that he possibly could into the sky. The storm clouds above them reacted in turn, sending that bolt of lightning toward Lugia at full speed, as the Charizard continued to rocket toward Lugia with Flare Blitz...
But then Yumi's Metagross exploded. The large explosion cut off their momentum from the wind that blew due to the force of the explosion, stopping the Flare Blitz attack and sending them flying back. They were unharmed, but Josh's eyes widened as he realized that Yumi's Metagross had done a kamizaze, and they had been maybe a minute away from getting caught in the blast.
[Dragon Dance to dodge the Aeroblast, attempted Flare Blitz and assisted in destroying the rock. Lightning used Nasty Plot, and Thunder on Lugia (Weather Assisted)]

While the battle was raging on further forward, Damian was trying his best to stay airborne, still peering through the viewfinder in order to make sure he had stable footage being filmed. The wind was roaring too loudly, the rain was pounding down hard, and his Aerodactyl was trying its best to stay airborne in the mess. “Come on, Volée, don’t give up on me now!” he hissed through his teeth as he fought against the howling wind and the roaring rain; trying to stay airborne as best as he could. He thought he’d heard at first one, then two distinct roaring noises that were rather different from the way the ‘beast of the sea’ had bellowed in their faces.
That had caused him to look out from behind the viewfinder as best as he could and saw that there weren’t just one, but at the very least two flying lizards that… had a dark bluish to black coloration? He then focused the camera as best as he could on the two that were apparently barreling head-long into the roaring white beast of the sea, before seeing that there was a bunch of rocks that had been turned into a shield, before it had gotten lobbed in the opposite direction! Much as he was tempted to shout out at the two to get out of the way, he figured that they knew what they were doing—and continued to film the entire proceedings.
To be on the safe side though, he then held on to the camera as tightly as he could before leaning as low as he could manage and speaking directly into his Aero’s ears, “Get that speed cranked up all the way to max, Agility and prepare to fly down to the ground if things get nasty,” before readjusting his position and looking through the view finder, continuing to watch and record the madness that was still going on all around him.
The Aero screeched, before complying—making its body lighter than ever and cranking up its Speed to what Damian assumed was the fastest possible that a Pokémon could legitimately achieve.
Aerodactyl out on the field!
Used Agility one more time to reach maximum flying speed.
The legendary creature that was god of storms and seas had been hurt before, but it had been a long while since it slept to recover from such a fight. Before, they were pests in its territory, like the pesky human colony it would need to eliminate for a chance at peace and quiet. Now they were threats that it wanted to address immediately.
The explosion and thunder would fade from the debris smoke they caused, revealing that Lugia was actually injured - its scales had been hurt, revealing a small patch of bruised and bloody wing. The beast was silent for a moment before giving a hurricane-force flap of its wings and roaring.
They would probably all go deaf for a moment, and with a solid lack of hearing they might have missed the fast orb of psychic energy hurtling down in front of Lugia, smashing into the ocean and spraying it up like one might drop a pool toy into the water. The salty debris would hit everyone around and result in a blind barrier to what Lugia was doing.
A psychic roar - the trio might get in a good final look as Lugia took on a bright fuchsia glow and let out a load roar, one that seemed to crack into their heads before they might have blacked out, before they all fell towards the sea, unable to fully move.
---
It was hot - it was a hot and humid day, a rare silence to the storms of the month when the first of the trio would get a chance to wake up. A single Wingull was pecking at them; those that washed up high onto the beach - no, someone dragged them there, perhaps wild Pokemon - but they were safe from the risk of washing away even with the god-storm in the region. It was sometime right before the sun was fully out, but whether day or night it was impossible to tell.
Two days had passed since the woke Lugia. A feral psychic smash to their brains - something most legendaries could claim to do - could have left them in far worse shape. They'd probably hear later about how Lugia hasn't been properly seen since - only rumor and hearsay, but nothing concrete.
Besides Yumi, however, rested one thing most important. A single, perfect, silvery feather.
--- Lugia used Ancient Power defensively. Future Sight smashes down into the sea and sprays up water. Injured Lugia lets out a psychic roar.
The trio + Pokemon wake up on the beach two days later. Damian's camera has no video footage, only static and some sound of the fighting, and Lugia's final roar. A single feather rests on the beach besides them.
"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
The moment the explosion landed, Yumi leaped to her feet atop her black dragon, pumping her fist into the air as the Lugia seemed t not only flinch, but was entirely knocked back by the explosion. Who said gods couldn't be hurt? Enzo shared her enthusiasm, rearing back and forcing Yumi to hold on tight again, roaring out loud, the blue flames along the side of his mouth becoming much stronger as his roar seemed to distort the flow of the rain around him, both trainer and pokemon proud of their work. Ko-ken meanwhile was not too impressed. His eyes remained strong on the white best of the storm, trying to see it through the flare of the explosion and the stormy rain. To him this was no victory. They had just injured this monstrosity. They had caused it to bleed...and if any one of Yumi's pokemon knew what it was like to bleed in battle, it was Ko-ken. If this beast they faced shared his blind battle fury, he knew one thing for sure. This injury would not be the end, it would only be the beginning.
"Alright Enzo! Nice one tossing in caeser, we better go fetch him though don't ya say?"
The dragon simply dived for the falling metal without so much as a grunt in conformation, flying in a practical nosedive towards the falling metagross, claws outstretched to catch his fainted friend. Yumi's eyes meanwhile fell back to Lugia. The god of the storms was clearly hurt, and while a moment ago she felt a sense of victory, she felt both a sense of dread, and a slight tinge of guilt. She had summoned Lugia, and now she had harmed it. She had made it bleed. For a moment, she thought with clarity, taking advantage of the moment of peace her explosion had brought them. Lugia had been rudely awakened, and was now even further enraged. The more she looked at it, the less she was seeing Lugia as this big nasty that was attacking them, and the more she realized she was probably it's bad guy right now. The rude awakener.
The sound of enzo's claws latching onto the metagross caught her attention, distracting her thoughts for just a moment before a immense pressure pounded down on her eardrums. She could not even hear herself scream as she put her hands over her ears to try and block the sound, if you could even define it with such a simple town. It seemed to go on for an eternity, if she had been able to focus, she would see that they were plummetting towards the ocean, that enzo's eyes had fallen to a close, and that Ko-ken himself had fallen off entirely, but even through all this, before she felt the ocean pounding back against her...
There was darkness.
------------------------------------------ 2 DAYS LATER ------------------------------------------
Yumi felt like she was thirteen again. There was a pounding in her skull that reminded her of the first time she'd ever tooken a punch from Ko-ken when he was training her. For a moment, the past eight years of her life seemed to vanish. She ran a hand to her forehead and groaned as she rolled in the sand, surprised by her center of gravity and looking over herself in shock before she was flung back out of that old memory and back to the present, surprised by even the few seconds her mind had speant in her past. The sand was what reminded her where she was. Back then she felt the rough tarmac at her fingertips, not the soft sand slipping through her fingers. Her mind was still a blur, eyes racing about, unable to tell which way was up, not even realizing she was climbing to her feet until she fully stood up, holding her head and groaning as her shaky legs struggled to keep her standing, her whole body seeming to be coated in sand, from her clothes to her skin and hair. Everything hurt, everything was both numb and on fire all at the same time. The sensation was one she could never be able to describe, but through it all, there was one question that was in her mind, ironically the same question, or name rather, from that same time eight years ago.
"Ko-ken?"
Her words were weak and blurred. Her whole world was spinning, eyes locking onto anything that showed even the slightest shade of blue. The sky, the ocean, a shell on the beach, everything was he sawk until the moment it wasn't. Finally her eyes met something familiar, locking onto the pokemon laying on his back much like she had. Without even thinking, as if she even could, she darted accross the sandy shore, tripping over her own fet and crawling through the sand until her feet found her again, anything she could do to make her way to that sawk. She didn't even look him in the eye as she pressed her ear to his chest, her whole world becoming an ounce clearer as she could hear the distinct beating of a heart. "Oh thank Arceus."
Falling to her rear beside the fighter, the red head just took a moment to calm herself, her vision finally clearing up as she looked towards the ocean, an orange shape in the distance seeming to call out to her in some way, a roar, a flap of the wings, some sound was meting her that her ears just refused to identify. "Enzo...glad to see you too bud..." Everything that happened before the darkness was a foggy memory. She knew there was danger, she knew her pokemon must have been hurt, but why was a matter she found unable to locate. Before she knew it the orange mess had made it's way to her, the silver chunk of scrap that was her metagross towed up behind it, tossed beside the red head as Enzo collapsed into the sand before her, worn out from dragging that metallic mess from the rising tide. "Good boy..."
The barely breathing sawk, the still "shut down" metagross resting beside them, and enzo just taking a small breather, Yumi decided to follow the dragon's lead and just take some solid calming breaths. The Lugia they had faced was still just something in the back of her mind. Something white, huge, and something she could identify as the cause of all this, but what on earth it was was still just clearing itself up to her. Other shapes and feelings cleared up first, and as they did, a strong, sickening sense of guilt seemed to rise up, like bile in her throat ready to make her sick just from how sorry she felt. It just still took a moment or two to figure out the cause, but the moment she had, she leaped to her feat, eyes wide and darting around the beach once again. "JOSH! DAMIAN! LIGHTNING!"
Falling with her run again, Enzo simply watched her, too weak from his own rescue mission to aid the apparent search. With a low groan, he dragged himself through the sand, laying his head beside the blue fighter, and with no sense of apology, he just puffed flames in the sawk's face. In an insant the fighter was on his feet. eyes going in seperate directions, patting his face and taking an instinctive fighting pose, his chest beating like his heart with his frantic breaths as he seemed to follow Yumi's example, gripping his head the moment his heart began to settle, and groaning aloud as he tried to force it to settle almost, catching enzo from the corner of his eye, and quickly realizing what had woken him. There was a moment of calm as he continued to catch his breath, before he too searched for the red head that had searched for him, only for Enzo to rise up, grip his head, and shove the fighters gaze in the direction of Yumi as she rushed down the beach. Without hesitation the fighter gave chase, leaving the dragon to close his eyes, and rest. The last thing he would see was the odd shine of silver lodged in one of the joints of his fellow sleeping metagross.
"SAWK!"
Yum's eyes turned back and she gave a bright smle at the chasing fighter, chuckling to herself out of sheer relief that he was okay, and just from how stupid she was to even doubt he'd be okay in the first place. "C'mon! Hugs later! We gotta find the others!" The blue fighter gave a small nod, nearly tripping as his legs still felt like jelly beneath him, almost like his mind and body were seperate entities for a moment, but still giving chase. Spotting the messy ruff of the avian professor Yumi, Ko-ken alerted Yumi before diverting towards him, skidding onto his knees beside the professor and looking him over, using what few human tricks he'd learned from taking care of Yumi over the years to try and wake him, checking he still breathed, before lightly pincing his nose. Seeing as he was indeed breathing, blocking an air way should be all that was needed to wake him up.
Yumi meanwhile continued her search for Josh, dropping down beside the blondie that had nearly blended in with the beach thanks to her blurred vision. She gripped his shoulders and just shook, hectic and unable to think of what she probably should be doing, and just attempting to force him awake, a small part of her wondering where lightning himself was, though he could have easily been 2 feet away and the dazed red head wouldn't notice.

The explosion had taken Josh by surprise, but Fawkes had managed to avoid it due to stopping the Flare Blitz in its tracks. When the smoke cleared, he could see that Lugia was injured, and he frowned, obviously feeling guilty. They had waken this legendary Pokemon for the sake of meeting it, befriending it, getting to know it, and then letting it go back to its sleeping place undisturbed. They hadn't meant for.... This! Whatever the hell this was. The skies had gone dark. It was storming like crazy. The water below them was dishing out the worst of waves, the weather was just... Unremarkable. He couldn't believe it. But... The monster had attacked, mercilessly, without provocation. Likely angry that they had woken it up. Despite the fact it had attacked them, he still felt bad for waking it up, even with the best of intentions. Perhaps... Waking it just plain wasn't a good idea. At all.
Still, he was visibly upset about them injuring Lugia. This was the opposite of what he had wanted. Why did this have to happen? Why did Lugia have to attack them and cause this? They had no opportunity to flee with the speed of its attacks, they were forced to defend themselves or risk death. And now Lugia had gotten hurt unnecessarily. It was a waste. And it ate at him. But there was nothing they could do now but fight and hope that maybe Lugia would fly away.
The first roar near deafened them. Josh and his team couldn’t hear a damn thing. Before they knew it, the Future Sight would spray up water, and by the time they could see and hear properly again, their last glimpse was of an angry Lugia letting out that final roar… Josh felt the brunt of it as did his Pokemon, and had the wind knocked out of them.
“LIGHTNING!” Josh cried out as the Pikachu would cry for help as he would sail out of Josh’s arms. Fawkes would be fine, he could still feel the Charizard under him. Josh reached out, as he started to feel tired, desperately reaching out for his partner, please god, please don’t take him away, he thought…
Josh felt his eyes dropping closed as they hurtled toward the sea from the attack. There was nothing he could do to stop it. He passed out without another word, another cry… Only a mutter, a ghost of a call to his partner.
----------------------------------------
At first, he couldn’t remember much. He had blacked out at some point, and the blonde wondered if he was lost in his consciousness. What in the world had happened? Had he been drinking? He remembered Yumi being there… Was he drinking with Yumi? Maybe drank too much? Oh lord, did he have his clothes on at least? He couldn’t feel much, or see anything. Just pitch black. Only feel something soft below him. Oh god, was he on a bed? Had… Oh god. While he didn’t know much about romance due to his inexperience, he knew full well the implications of… Hopscotch doodoly, and what could happen if you drank too much with… Present company. This wasn’t good, oh Arceus this wasn’t good. How in the world were they going to explain this? Sure, his mother might find it funny after she was done scolding them for getting drunk and having the situation go from there, but Izumi would be PIIIIISSSSSSEEEEEEDDDDD. They weren’t even DATING and she’d still be pissed. She’d throw fits! Objects! Pokemon! She’d never forgive him for it even if he didn’t do anything wrong while in the right mind. This was bad. REALLY bad.
Wait, wasn't there a Professor there too. Uhh.... Dimmon? Dilon? Dylan? Dick? Richard? Tommy? Billy? Chuckie. Chad? Lillian? No wait, it was a man, it couldn't be Lillian. Uhh.... Dangian? Durian? Bunji? Bunnelby? Zubatman? Sirmixalot? Dingleberry? Nigel? No, wait, was a D name... Uhh... Norris? No wait, that's not a d name either! Right, right, Damien! Or was it pronounced Damian? He wasn't sure. But that just made the situation even more confusing. Did he spike their drinks? Oh god, how did he explain to his mother and psuedo overbearing wife that he and Yumi took drugged drugs from a creepy stranger posing as a Professor. And why was Lugia flying over their heads?
Wait, Lugia?
It was all coming together now…. He, Yumi and Damian had gone to summon Lugia. It had gone wrong, Lugia had attacked and he had been forced to defend himself. They had fought against it until it got injured, and then it attacked and…. Oh no…
“LIGHTNING!” Josh cried out as the Pikachu would cry for help as he would sail out of Josh’s arms.
No... No no no... Where was he... Where was he?! And Fawkes too? Fawkes likely wasn't far, he could fly, but Lightning had been lost in the storm... Josh started panicking, but he suddenly felt something shaking his shoulders. He could see light, but something in the center was blocking it. Finally, the blonde would open his eyes, and the blurry visage of Yumi would come into view, shaking his shoulders. The moment he came to his senses, he jolted straight up, accidentally smacking heads awkwardly with Yumi, forehead to forehead, nose to nose, lips to lips, before rubbing his head in pain. "Ow... That doesn't help the migraines, sorry Yumi..." Josh would manage to get out before he remembered what was going on again.
"L-l-Lightning!" Josh cried out, his eyes wide as his blurry vision tried to make out the Pikachu somewhere. "W-w-where's Lightning!?" He cried out, trying to get to his feet despite being wobbly. "And Fawkes as well?" He added, his voice growing worried and frantic. His eyes darted around the area, trying to find them. "No no no, please no, Lightning where are you, Lightning lightning lightning...." He pleaded to thin air as he looked around, desperately trying to find the Pikachu until his vision recovered enough to locate a furry butt and lightning bolt tail sticking out of the sand. The poor thing had his head stuck in the sand not far from them. Josh's heartbeat relaxed a bit as he walked over, managing to pull Lightning out. "Chaaaaa...." The dazed Pikachu would groan as he flopped to the ground onto his back. He seemed alright, at least. Josh sighed in relief, though noted the poor thing's scarf was all torn up. Hopefully Serena would be able to sew it back together again. Josh tried to adjust it, and just in time noticed a Thunderstone slipping out of it. He quickly grabbed it. It seemed that Lightning had a thunderstone in his bandana. He decided he'd put it back in when they could fix the bandana, too risky right now, as he would put it away.
"Then where's Fawkes?" Josh would let out, looking around, hoping the Charizard had made it as well. He wasn't as worried at first because Fawkes was with him when he fell, but now... Okay, now he was starting to get worried. But then they would hear footsteps, and Josh looked over and noticed the exhausted Charizard being lifted and carried over by... Was that the rest of his Pokemon?
Yes, it very much was. Josh recognized Bastilo, his Blastoise. Gawain, his Dragonite. Even the coward of a Goomy, Goomba. Not to mention Inferno, his Typhlosion. He sighed in relief, and nodded. "Good job, you guys" He said, before looking over at Yumi.
