elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.
EPOCH is PG-13. Proboards’ Terms of Service:
Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.
Welcome to the Submissions board. Here is where you can help the staff out by creating your own missions for others or yourself to go on and reap benefit or reward from. Just follow the template below. Staff may tweak the mission a bit for approval but nothing will be turned away, so look for your work on the missions board.
Also some of you may be seeking out people to RP or thread with. If you'd like you can place your character in a Mission. Notice what I have marked in red at the bottom.

Head to Nacre Labs and steal/obtain the Slowpoke Tail returning it back to a collector of the bizarre in GoldenRod City to receive your reward. Oh, and be warned, the Lab's security has been beefed up a bit so be careful you're not caught.
Reward: 15PD + get 1 TM move (Only for Psychic or Water pokemon in your PC) Notes: See about getting Professor Io to play along with you.
This means that if you want, you can PM or get a hold of whoever plays this character to thread with you in the Mission. They won't gain the bonus PD but they will make the mission more interesting and gain PD from posting.
When you submit your missions use the proper code and if it's a City Mission please use the proper hex color code to change the title bar to the location it will be in. The code you need to change is easy enough to find. Just look for MISSION TITLE in the code. The underlined portion is the hex code you need to edit with the city color choice. SB stands for Special Bonus, which is just a neat little extra a person can get for going above and beyond expectations in their Mission.
All Teams need to create and track their missions in their Team Boards, and follow the Guidebook Guidelines to get them approved.

Title: The Last Girl Claimed By: Interpol Catching: No Members: 1 (female agent) Rewards: •20 and an all-expenses-paid vacation Description: Four Clearwater playboys are under suspicion for murder, however no evidence is available against them. Their method for choosing victims and one of their favorite hangouts are known, however, so a female agent will need to go undercover, gain their interest, and find out what they’re doing, how, and survive while doing it. Notes: Agent will need to pretty themselves up with at the very least lipstick (additional makeup may or may not be required), then go into the desert and survive the night being chased by the four boys. They won’t be able to use Pokémon due to being undercover.

Title: Trifecta Claimed By: Infinite Catching: Nah Members: 3 Rewards: Mega Knowledge Description: A mysterious stone has been reported to be found in the Mega Ruins, however it is in the shape of a triangle. After searching through the ruins, the three trainers find a keyhole in the shape of said stone. Placing the key into the hole reveals a new portion of the ruins to be inspected. However, this new section opens up to three separate halls. Each trainer must pass through the hall and make it through without perishing. Once the three trainers have reached the end of their respective hall, they must battle a Sabelye, Banette, and Gengar respective to each hall. All three must win their separate battles and a final room will be revealed containing a wall with mega knowledge laid out on it. Notes: Each hall has two of the following to be randomly rolled by a mod: Dart Trap, Pit Trap, Falling Rocks, Swinging Axes, Exploding Pressure Plates, Toxic Spikes, and Crushing Walls. Once that is done, each trainer must face one of the three pokemon mentioned above (six moves, not random can be chosen at mod's choice but must be natural), rolled randomly, that will be faced in a modded battle.
Personally would recommend reducing the number of people required to do this - if just one person stops posting the entire mission fails, and that's not exactly fair to the other two present. Likewise, I would also suggest leaving the three Pokemon at the end open to a random roll to prevent this from being too easy - it doesn't take much effort to go in prepared to fight something specific.

Title: Beyond Infinity Claimed By: Open (Infinity Mission) Catching: No Members: Variable (one or more) Rewards: •Mega Knowledge Description: The Temple of Insight is one of the oldest known places in Nue. As such, it is a treasure trove of knowledge about the region and many other things, including the secrets of Mega Evolution. Notes: You gain knowledge on Mega Stones/Key Stones/and Mega Evolution. You must defeat one trainer per person in order to deemed worthy of the knowledge. Be warned, each opposing trainer will be using one Mega pokemon against you. If you lose though, you still get to keep the knowledge of the existence of Mega Evolution, but nothing more.

Title: The Bonds that Tie... Claimed By: Open (Infinity Mission) Catching: No. Members: 1 - 2 Rewards: •Mega Knowledge Description: The Temple of Insight. One of the places where a lot of hopefuls who are seeking the knowledge of Mega Evolution gather; only to leave disappointed. Rather than focusing on the "fighting" aspect; this particular mission focuses on the unity, the bond between an individual and their own Pokémon.
Since Iceburgh is known for its wild weather in the colder months of the year, the task is deceptively simple: for the hopeful/s to take just one chosen companion and climb to the top of the mountain in Iceburgh's frozen wasteland, to prove that no matter whatharsh obstacles are lobbed their way, it cannot dampen the fighting spirit of a Trainer and their companion. Atop the mountain, there is another monk (priestess, whichever you prefer) who is waiting for hopefuls to scale the crazy peak. They await whoever successfully arrives there to share the secrets of Mega Evolution.
It may look easy, but this is where "the easiness of it all" ends.
The Iceburgh frozen wastelands are known to be home of some of Nue's most ferocious creatures, having all manner of wild Pokémon coming out as the sun goes down. They aren't pleased to have their own territory invaded by humans, and they will attack the hopeful/s, regardless if they're just passing through the area or looking for shelter (or wood to light up a fire). The temperatures are known to drop below freezing, so thermal clothing will be provided to the hopeful/s before the start of the quest along with a map of the area and some food rations; but take note: not even warm clothing can save you.
Notes: An improvement (hopefully) on Teki's original idea.
It operates similar to the Haunted Wood Walk, only instead of going through a creepy maze, the hopeful/s will scale the mountain that looms behind the temple, where one of the other denizens of the Temple of Insight awaits with the secret chased by all. The journey is marked by a map that will be given at the start of the quest. Some of the areas have been blacked out: meaning they are impassable, no matter how much you try to search for a shortcut.
The various instances include, but aren't limited to the following (building on Pop's RNG thing):
- wild Pokemon encounters (evolved forms, with permission. They can't be caught, they're just there to impede your progress.) - weather going nuts (mini avalanches and the like) - sinking in the snow (you ain't no Legolas to walk atop the drifts, son) - mild injuries while treading through slippery areas. After all, who said hiking through snow was easy?
The moves forward determined would be RNG'd from 1 to 3, since it's a pretty short map
All wild Pokémon encounters will be modded, to ensure fairness.
If the idea works, the list of occurrences will be PM'd along with the corresponding map where the occurrences would take place. Another copy of the map is provided to the hopeful/s.
Title: Lunatic Lakeside Claimed By: Team Aqua Catching: Yes (Water's Edge lists) Members: 2+ Rewards: •20 Description: Litterbugs have been around and about Tynntill's Lake Luna, mucking up the waters and tearing up the shores. As such, the wild Pokemon in the area have grown highly aggressive to people coming close to the lake, making efforts to clean up the lake difficult. Someone with delicate hands should go and address the situation. The effort is being funded by a group interested in founding The Bubble Dome, an aquarium to be built on the late. Notes: A small publicity mission for Team Aqua.
Title: Bayonadaville's Booty Claimed By: Team Aqua Catching: No Members: 2+ Rewards: •20 Description: Bayonadaville's always had an issue with pirates. A particularly rowdy crew abourd the Whiskey Whiscash have been a notch above the rest in activity in the previous month, and a bounty has been issued for their defeat and capture. A small boat will be provided for the mission takers, but be aware that the foggy nights make it difficult to track them. Notes: A publicity mission for Team Aqua. The pirate crew consists of five people, the captain and four mates. The mates each have two pokemon, and the captain has three, with the potential for evolutions among them.
Izumi Yamamura - Instead of making it this long winded thing why not take the Hail and survival conditions, along with this part of the idea. ( An assortment of things can happen; it can be decided by posting a roll (similar to the Haunted Wood Walk; each roll has its own "occurrence" and the wild 'mon encounters will definitely be amongst one of those.) And make it a REALLY friggin short trek to the summit or "last the night". You can keep a lot of your original idea. It's just cut back on the mod work involved and make it easier on the Mods. Example: Take something like this or this and say your game board is 7+ squares big. Longest being 15 or 20. You make up a list of "issues" for them to run into just like I did with the Haunted wood walk. That way any mod can take care of it when it pops up in the summons. You can even make it to where it takes only 5-7 squares to get to the top. Each square they will run into an obstacle they will have to complete in order to reach to the top. You can make the roll incidents a wild spawn, or slips on ice, sprained ankle, Food break, Blizzard, ghost of enlightenment and have a little paragraph of what it says etc. Just keep it simple, but require effort to get through but don't make it so long that it's like ...fuck this after 3 posts. "Entertain" the audience give them something they could plot with but don't make it tedious.

Fall Out Toy
Location: Iceburgh Catching: No Members: 1-2 Merek is a small time toy maker from Iceburgh that's currently trying to make his new product, My Little Hero, strong enough to rough play from baby Pokemon while providing an experience that can be enjoyed again and again. Unfortunately for his toy testers, aka you and your potential partner, his electronic toys tend to be defective. Thoroughly review 3 of his Little Hero toys with a first-stage/baby Pokemon and try not to get hurt.
Toys might have wires sticking out in places that they shouldn't, so be mindful of that. Also be mindful of the glitches of each toy, which you can make up. Rewards: 10PD SB:
Sell! Sell! Sell!
Location: Bayonadaville Catching: No Members: 1 Tired of having her fish deli go unnoticed by the much larger brand names in Bayonadaville, Arabella has had enough, and is looking for the assistance of a Coordinator to give her shabby little stand a flashy touch. Try to showcase her product and shop for the 9am-7pm work day.
Arabella doesn't want to pay for your mistakes, so the mission will fail if you cause any unnecessary damage.

LF: Comfort Dog for 10yo Boy
Location: Wizen Catching: Yes (Urban), Drifloon, Furfrou, Snubbull Members: 1 "My little Ivan has some sort of Drifloon-phobia, for what reason I have no idea, but the balloon Pokemon frequent Wizen City so much, that he's terrified of leaving the house by himself. Ivan loves dogs, and I've done enough research to think that a therapy dog might be worth a try to confront his fears. Just to be safe, it would be a relief if a trainer escorted him through Wizen to make sure nothing happens to him."
You can write Ivan any way you please. Don't magically cure his phobia, but catch one of the canine Pokemon for him so he can feel a little safer. Trainer should keep a canine Pokemon of their own out so Ivan doesn't get too stressed. Rewards: 15PD SB:

Location: Iceburgh Catching: No Members: 1-2
'Fantasy Candies' is a local sweets shop tucked away on a hustling street that barely catches a wink of sleep at night. The owner, Mr.Flanders, towers over the front counter with muscles as large as the plethora of cakes that are tucked away in the counter's display case. Despite appearances, he's a massive sweetheart with a soft spot for children, and the kids know it too. Flanders is hoping to base his newest batch of creations on several Pokemon that the kids like, and he wants a Pokemon retainer to showcase a few of their Pokemon for his next hit.
His husband, however, asks that you make sure that the children don't take advantage of the shop owner's kindness while you're over there. They're friendly enough to enter the shop even with the 'closed' sign up, and consider the shop their main hang out place.

Ranch Protection Squad
Location: The Wilds Catching: Yes (Grasslands 1) Members: 1-2
Great Ol' Yodel is a ranch that's comfortably located between Shui and Tynntill, and while its pastures are vast and filled with Miltank, Skiddo, and Gogoat for fresh Moomoo Milk and goat milk, an awful storm tore apart chunks of the wooden fence that kept predators at bay. Repairs are expected to take 2 days to complete, and while the ranch Pokemon are safely tucked into the barns at night, they still need to go out into the grasslands to graze in the day.
The Yodel staff are looking for trainers that can keep predatory Poochyena, Shinx, and Litleo at bay, all while protecting the ranch Pokemon from the hostile Combee swarms and territorial Doduo and Girafarig in the area.
Rewards: (IC) 2 jars of Fresh Moomoomilk, 2 faulty Repels that attract Pokemon instead of repelling them SB:

ARCANE AND THE CANDY FACTORY
Location: Flash City Catching: Yes (Ghost, Dark, Fairy) Members: 2 (Ricki & Zerne) In the pink sector of Flash City, a creepy candy factory is situated there. Rumor has it that very strange things go on inside the candy factory, things that alarm even the long-time veteran inhabitants of the city. Or at least that’s what they say. They’ve warranted nothing to attract the attention of police or of the League, but curiosities have reached an all-time high after the tenth team sent to sneak in ended up tripling their therapy times and quadrupling their time in bars and clubs.
You two have been hired to investigate the candy factory and uncover the mysteries within in order to find out the truth and put those rumors to rest or confirm them once and for all.

Talent agency is in desperate need of your help, there is a horrible theater actress who is signed up to them threatening to leave the agency unless she gets a boost in reputation, sadly the actress is rather pathetic in acting, so rather than hoping for a miracle, the talent agent is hiring you to pretend to be this actress biggest fans, will you put your acting skills to the test to help him mooch more money off this talent-less hack.
