Description: Having grown about six inches over the summer, Jason now stands proudly at 6'2". This, taken into consideration of how much he had trained himself over the past few years to.. well.. become a trainer, he is quite the handsome young man. Many people, boys and girls, have commented on his great physique and he can't argue with them. His sandy blond hair isn't too long or too short, a length he calls "perfect". Aside from his hair, Jason’s eyes are another aspect of him that, pardon the pun, catch the eye. Being a beautiful blue and they seem to bring all his other features together, which makes this one-two combo an easy way to charm his opponents, or at least attempt to. Although many people, including his mother, have encouraged him to be a male model, Jason refuses on the argument that, “my fashion sense is too good for those agents to handle”. His “great” fashion sense was, more or less, skinny jeans, tennis shoes, and a black v-neck shirt underneath a zip up hoodie.
PERSONALITY
Personality: Thinking highly of himself since he was child, Jason is a cocky young man. Some might even say arrogant. Accompanied by his need to tell people what he thought of them, whether it was kind or not, has led to quite a few slaps on Jason’s cheek with no regret to what he said. However, this doesn’t deter people from seeking him out in a crowd of people, like moths to a flame. They swoon over his “cool” and suave moves, completely unaware that was he is saying was made up on the spot. These social interactions are not enough for Jason, no, he craves for something more. Something more intimate. He craves for a real relationship. His parent’s absence throughout his childhood, forcing him to go with guardians who were only there for the money, deprived him of the love and care he needed as a child. Jason might claim to only want to become a Trainer in order to launch himself into the famous life of the Champion, but he knows, deep down, that all he wants is a friend.
Ambitions: Jason dreams of reaching the Pokemon League and battling the champion. Once there, he will be able to propel himself into the spotlight and be famous, world wide. His true ambition though, one he tells no one, is to make real friends.
History: Originally from Petalburg City of Hoenn, Jason and his family moved a few miles out of the city to build their large villa a year or so before Jason was born. Why? Because they could. Jason’s father was a very successful Breeder who had earned more than enough money to provide for his family; however, his job also kept him away from the family that he worked so hard to provide for. His wife, not wanting to be stuck home with a child, her child, had Jason’s father hire a guardian for him while the two went off for business.
As a toddler, Jason barely saw his parents, only catching their attention for hours at a time when they stopped by their villa to get some extra supplies. Those years flew by, learning a few different languages from a few different guardians. After a few years of going through countless guardians, his parents found one that Jason seemed to get along with. The name? Jasmine Ellaine, a sixty-seven year old woman. She raised Jason for ten years, teaching him how to respect his elders, nature, and most importantly, Pokemon.
On Jason's twelfth birthday, Jasmine introduced him to her own Pokemon, an elderly Lucario that she called Percy. The two seemed to communicate with out words, simple smiles and nods, all the two needed to explain what they wanted. This, Jason noted, was something new, something different! Sure, he had seen Pokemon before, hundreds of them. But this Pokemon? It was a trained Pokemon! Not like the Pokemon that his father kept, making eggs all the time. That experience with Jasmine's Pokemon led him to his interest in Pokemon. Yet, there was one last factor that really pushed him in becoming a trainer...
Three days before Jason's sixteenth birthday, he received a letter informing him of Jasmine and Percy's death. Three days before his apparent into adulthood; this ascension without the person that practically raised him. The huge party that was put together by Jason's parents was quickly canceled and they headed out towards Fortree City, Jasmine's hometown. Standing there under the enormous trees and tree houses that made up the city, Jason decided that he would become a trainer for her, for Jasmine.
About a year passed, a year filled with physical training of his body and studying trainer books and online Pokedex data. Jason did all he could to make himself prepared for being a trainer. He memorized the type advantages, the various Pokemon of his region, and other information that he was sure would help him on his journey. His body, he noted, also needed toughening if he was to survive out in the open world. Pushing himself past his limits, Jason made sure that no one would try to pick a fight with him after a battle. Sometimes, Jason caught himself, and some of the local girls, admiring his body, but those were some of the unplanned benefits.
Opening his eyes, Jason saw the ceiling of his room. It was nothing special, just a ceiling that had been over his head for the majority of his life. It saw more of him than his own parents. It saw him cry, laugh, and even dream. Where were his parents? Busy. Jason couldn't help but laugh at that. Here it was, the morning of his seventeenth birthday, and where were his parents? Out on business. Jason sighed and did what he could through out the day, which was, more or less, going out to the mall with his friends and drink.. A lot.
The opening theme song of some movie about a wizard started playing halfway through dinner. With a sigh, annoyed that he wouldn't be able to eat his dinner in peace, Jason answered the phone, not even bothering to check who it was.
“HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” his mother yelled into the phone, making his ears ring.
“Thanks. You’re early for once. Did you get me what I wanted?” he asked, hoping they had done what he asked.
There was silence. A few minutes of it, which surprised Jason. His parents were almost always chatting and never giving anyone a chance to speak. He realized when he heard a click and sudden noise that she had simply muted herself. “Honey.. Your father and I don’t think you should be a trainer. We’re going to need someone to take over the business, and if you become a trainer, you wouldn't have enough time to come check on the ranch and all of your father’s clients.”
“Honey..”
“Honey…”
“Honey?!”
She continued yelling into the phone, but no one heard. Jason had dropped the phone. He was done. He was over it. A few hours later, he had bought a ticket to Little Root that was scheduled to leave tomorrow morning. That was where his journey would begin.

Face claim: series - face claim first last, character last first
Continuity: Original/Import - I used the majority of the same appearance/story from a different site, but edited the details. I'd still like to start with the new trainer perks, considering I'm using new Pokemon and whatnot.
Other Characters: N/A
Role play Sample: His new life wasn't exactly what he had expected. After getting off the train, Jason was told that he needed an adult to check him into the hotel, which led to an argument with the woman at the counter, and resulted in Jason sleeping outside. In the dark. Alone. The morning wasn't any better because a wild Budew had found its way into his sleeping bag and released a cloud of pollen that bothered his allergies when Jason tried to move it. While that ruined his appetite for breakfast, he searched for the extra money he had brought from the train and suddenly remembered what the lady at the desk had said before he left.
“There are… dangerous things out there. I’d sleep with one eye open, punk.”
“Well,” he thought, “there goes all my money for a nice and leveled starter. Might as well head to that lab everyone was talking about. Apparently they give out free Pokemon…”
Sneezing and wiping tears from his eyes, Jason made his way to the lab. Was this what he really needed? Would these Pokemon help him? Would he be able to trust them? Most importantly, would they stay with him? Shaking the dark thoughts, and the remainder of the pollen, from his head, Jason stepped into the lab, searching for the Professor or someone that would be able to help him.

His “great” fashion sense was, more or less, skinny jeans, tennis shoes, and a black v-neck shirt underneath a zip up hoodie.
Years have passed since, and while Jason hasn't grown any taller, his body has become more muscular due to constant training with his pokemon and having to live off in the wild for months at a time, avoiding large cities like the plague. While his body grew in mass and muscle, his fashion sense pretty much died off, mostly due to the inability to go to the department stores he once favored. Now a days, Jason usually wears a form fitting survival suit; made of a material that seems to breathe and is quite comfortable, the black and silver suit protects him from the elements and allows him easy movement. When he is out in the city, however, he sports a tight white shirt, showing off his chiseled chest and bursting biceps along with black jeans and a gray cardigan. The most distinct feature about Jason that has changed, however, is his hair. The golden locks that once crowned his face have now been replaced with jet black hair that falls slightly over his forehead. His dazzling blue eyes remain the same, but this face is not the one that people once loved and feared.
[attr="class","cafappscr"]Thinking highly of himself since he was child, Jason is a cocky young man. Some might even say arrogant. Jason might claim to only want to become a Trainer in order to launch himself into the famous life of the Champion, but he knows, deep down, that all he wants is a friend.
The once cocky and impulsive young man that had ran around Hoenn doing what his heart told him has faded, along with his identity, and has now been replaced with a more mature man. While Jason still believes himself to be a gift to the underpants of men and women, he is not one to flaunt himself anymore. He is more than aware of his status as a fugitive and keeps on the down low, not causing a scene and avoiding attention as much as possible. Sure, he still flirts like crazy if someone gives him the chance, but he will not deliberately go out and try. As for the arrogance that radiated from the blond? It too has been replaced by an aura of ominous; who is this mysterious trainer? Again, Jason does not flaunt his looks, attitude, or most recently, his strength. He has indeed grown stronger form when he first began his journey, and so have his pokemon.
However, the biggest shift in Jason's personality is how cold, sarcastic, and cynical he's become. With the death of his starter pokemon, Jasmine, Jason has been plunged into a depression unlike one the young man has ever experienced. His demeanor has changed because of this and a little thunder cloud constantly hangs over him.

Ambitions: Jason dreams of reaching the Pokemon League and battling the champion. Once there, he will be able to propel himself into the spotlight and be famous, world wide. His true ambition though, one he tells no one, is to make real friends. At one point, Jason had wanted to propel himself into the public eye and be known world wide for something, anything, and be household name. He wanted to make friends and fall in love. He wanted happiness. In a way, he achieved this goal. He became a wanted criminal interregionally and his name is feared by all. As for love? He had dipped his finer in the sea of love and was burned, and that was a pain he would never feel again. His goals and ambitions have shifted; Jason wants to clear his name, have revenge on the man who killed Jasmine and the man who framed him, and prove his strength in the gyms all the while steering clear of his old identity.
[attr="class","cafappscr"] Royde Ranches; A household name throughout Hoenn for a reliable place to get top quality eggs. That was the name of the multimillionaire company owned by Richard Royde. He had single handily brought it up from the rich and fertile soil and lands outside Petalburg to the region wide company it was today. Of course, with such wealth at his disposal, the man needed a wife to shower her with gifts, and so he found Melissa. A woman who enjoyed the glamorous life of the city, she was soon disappointed to life on the ranch, needing constant attention, and money, from her husband. This couple that seemed to doomed to divorce did what any other failing marriage did; They had a child. A beautiful baby boy they named Jason. Jason Royde. The child was supposed to bring peace and fix all of the couple's problems, and in a way, he did. He became the family's scapegoat. To his mother's compulsive shopping: "The baby needed a new bib and I just happened to spot these shoes while I was leaving the mall...", to his father's late night absences: "I had to go talk to the kid's doctor about his shots n' stuff. The doctor, was, uh, very reluctant on letting me go without knowing what each shot was for...". Both parents used the newborn as an excuse to continue what was going on before but this time there was the cover of "helping the child" rather than for selfish reasons.
This continued for a few years, Jason always being used as an excuse while in reality some caretaker hovered over the child having to do the real parental duties such as changing his diaper, feeding him, and bathing him. It wasn't until Jason began to speak did the two realize that their lies would soon come to surface, so his father did what any man with money did; Left. Oh, he didn't leave Melissa to care for the child alone, but he took her with him on a world wide cruise that took about two years to complete. They visited all of the regions and while Melissa bought foreign and expensive clothes, Richard took part in the exotic services. As for their child? The one that was supposed to fix everything? He was left in the care of the first of many in a line of nannies. The toddler did what any other spoiled toddler would do, threw a fit constantly to get what he wanted. While he wasn't entirely sure where the parents he barely remember were, he didn't really care either. Having a room full of toys, and being given more whenever he asked, kept him distracted. Those two years flew by for the parents and by the time they came back, they had missed the first few weeks of Jason's first year of school.
It soon became a patter of sorts where Jason's parents would leave for months or years at a time, leaving him in the care of various nannies and guardians, then coming back for a few weeks. This pattern continued through most of Jason's elementary school days and even further, yet there was one minor change. Jason had a nanny that stayed. Jasmine Ellaine was her name, and she appeared sometime over the summer before Jason would start the fifth grade. She was an elderly woman with stark white hair and more laugh lines than Jason could count, but she did something no one else in his miserable existence had done before, she cared for the boy. Caring for the young lad, she taught him to respect nature, pokemon, and other people; although, it can be said that last point didn't get across too clearly. Jason learned from her and her Lucario, Percy, about how to train pokemon. He learned the proper ways to identify a sick pokemon, how to treat a wound, how to care for them as the two guardians cared for him. Jason also learned other things he wouldn't be able to learn from anyone else. Jasmine was an Aura Guardian, capable of using her aura for task Jason couldn't even imagine, and while the blond himself couldn't, he still learned from her and Percy on how others did and how to protect himself from it. When Jasmine wasn't teaching him about pokemon or auras, she taught the teenager how to read ancient ruins and the mysterious language of the Unknown, promising him it would come to use eventually.
While he learned quite a bit at home, Jason still attended high school like any other teenager. He took French, the language of love, and used this to his advantage to seduce boys and girls alike. Jason was a heartthrob, the training he did with Percy the Lucario keeping his body in tip top shape and the yoga he practiced with Jasmine shedding any fat he had, and he was well aware of it. The blond was pretty sure he passed his sophomore year using other people's homework alone, all thanks to his wonderful looks. Of course, the good could only last for so long.
On his sixteenth birthday, the day barely started, Jason received some of the worst news he would get in his entire life. His father and mother had sent him on a cruise for his birthday and he found out from a very professional and apathetic voice mail that Jasmine had passed during her sleep that night and her pokemon, Percy, followed shortly afterwards from heartbreak. The smile that should have been plastered on the boy's, now a man's, face was instead replaced by a quivering lip and tears streaming down his face. Jason called his father, who sent for a Flygon to pick him up, and Jason attended Jasmine and Percy's funeral the following days.
A year passed, and Jason was rebelling against his parents and teachers in every way he could. His senior year was marked by truancy and failing grades, and with Jason being sixteen and no longer needing a guardian, no one was there to enforce curfew or for the blond to do his work. All of this led to what one thing... His seventeenth birthday. That day, the anniversary of Jasmine and Percy's death, Jason made his choice of what he wanted to do. The blond wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jasmine, not his father, and become a trainer. When he informed his parents of this choice, his father was infuriated, claiming he was the one who would take over the breeding business when his father was old and frail. Out right denying him the possibility, the older man yelled over the phone for a good ten minutes before he waited for his son to reply. And waited. And waited. He wouldn't get an answer, ever, because the seventeen year old Jason had ran away from home.
His journey started out like most others, with a starter pokemon of his choice, a Ralts and a Duskull, Jasmine and Sebastian respectively. He had named the Ralts in Jasmine's honor, knowing she would always be with him. Sebastian was named so for... Well, he thought the pokemon enjoyed the name. They set off from his home outside Petalburg and headed towards Rustboro, avoiding the streets and sticking to the forest. It was here Jason caught his first pokemon, and met his first "love", William. The stud had never felt for someone like he did Will and he honestly felt that he was in love, but he couldn't be sure. As they spent more and more time together, Jason training while Will did his thing, that feeling only grew until there was no denying the heartache Jason had for the dark haired golden goofball. Although, Jason never did profess his feelings for Will, he was sure it was obvious. Their days together, however, were cut short when Jason decided to battle Roxanne. Will had other things to do, but promised they would meet again, which Jason was perfectly fine with. Battling Roxanne, and winning, Jason obtained his first Gym Badge!
More training ensure as Jason traveled the Hoenn region, searching for Will and making his pokemon more powerful. Months passed, and eventually, Jason gave up on finding his golden knight. Fury, depression, and all other mixtures of emotions caused him to travel to a region he had never been to, Orre, in order to participate in a contest there. Jason had a fine singing voice, and his dramatic side shone on the stage, so it seemed like a good way to let out some steam. A performance full of angst and anger, it earned Jason honorable mention. An okay score for his time on stage, but definitely not what he wanted. Drinking the pain away, Jason spent the following days wallowing in his hotel until he received a phone call from a certain someone... They, Jason and Will, went out to a nice hotel in Orre where the golden gilded guy, politely, broke Jason's heart.
Running from his heartbreak and the man who did it, Jason returned to Hoenn to isolate himself. He in fact returned to Rustboro to see how Roxanne was doing, the blond had enjoyed her company. It was here where Jason's life would truly change. He fell into a jumbled mess of murder, secrets, and villains that ended in him, Jason Royde, being framed for the murder of various guards and kidnapping of a young woman. Terrified and alone, Jason fled from Hoenn and went to Sinnoh, adopting a new identity on the way. Jason Royde no longer existed, and in his place, was Jackson Floyde. Jackson, or Jason, battled and trained in the city of Hearthome where he eventually faced off against the ghost mistress Fantine, and won. Earning his second badge would have been a great feat, but for the fugitive, it meant nothing. He still had to run.
And run he did, avoiding public places like the plague. It was only a matter of time, though, until the socialite would need to see people. Taking a great opportunity, Jasno returned to Hoenn in order to participate in the annual Summer Contest. They required no registration and so he had no worry of being caught. A needed break from running, it put him and his pokemon in a much better mood. The brunette, having changed his hair color when he changed his identity, would have been much happier if he had gotten something other than honorable mention again, but what are you gonna do? With no reason to ever return to the region where everything had went down, Jason left Hoenn for the final time and went to the newly opened region of Kalos.
Here, he met a girl who well... He actually enjoyed her company, even if they met under odd circumstances. Jason and Erin traversed through some haunted walkway where she was a ghost, he was trapped in spider webs, and all manners of creatures from Hell chased them around like it was fun and games. They bonded over this experience, "Jackson" and Erin, and promised to keep in touch with each other as he traveled through Kalos. Jason did his best to keep up with her, and they talked when he wasn't training with his pokemon or fleeing from cities, but it was hard when you were fugitive.
Flying over a small Kalosian town in the southern parts of the large region, Jason's life would change once more. A freak accident, causing his supplies to be lost to the wind, Jason was forced to stop in town to pick up more. Here, a blond man discovered Jason's identity and forced him into a battle of life and death, freedom and imprisonment, good and evil. While Jason and Jasmine had the advantage for a time, a minor mistake resulted in... In Jasmine's death. The blond bounty hunter's pokemon snapped her neck with ease and if it weren't for Jason's Altaria, probably would have done so to him as well.
Fleeing from Kalos a top his Altaria, Jason had Jasmine's minimized pokeball turned into a necklace that he wore. He had lost two of the most important people, and pokemon, who were important to him, both of them named Jasmine. He would never lose someone again, not if he could help it. Jason and his pokemon landed in the Nue region, where he once again changed his identity. Jason was dead, Jackson gone as well, and in their place was Jeraud Derossier, a dark haired man with looks that could kill. Settling in a town known as Tyntill, Jason started his new life. No more Ghost pokemon, they were associated with Jason. No more Dark pokemon, those associated with Jackson. Here he would stick to electric and flying types, energetic enough to keep up with his changing lifestyle and capable of fleeing in a moment's notice. His other pokemon, were confined to their pokeballs or resided at his small apartment in Tyntill. Jason, or Jeraud, was taking classes at the local high school to get his G.E.D. It'd be nice to have a diploma.
Six months later of hard work, and Jeraud was now a high school graduate and was working as a delivery boy for a local pizza chain. During the night, however, Jason did mixed martial arts where he attempted to earn money for him and the many pokemon that lived with him. It was odd, the now dark haired man had never needed to work, and here he was getting his ass beat nightly just to earn a couple hundred bucks.
