She’d gotten updates that another one of her homeland’s rarer ‘mons were making an appearance; and she set out to get one for herself! Knowing that it would be a serious pain in the rear to attack an Ice-type ‘mon without a fire-type attack, she decided to go with the usual standby… of using one of her Fighting-types in this instance. Also, I kind of owe Asuka some play time… so… she thought with a guilty flinch as she neared the place where the Snorunt were supposed to make a grand appearance—Mount Coronet. Realizing that it was way bigger than Chimney and Moon in all regards, she could only stare up at it in awe—and most of the external areas were now blanketed in a fresh layer of snow. She then began her trek up the outside face—quite surprised to see that there were paths that had been cut through the deep ‘fallout’ caused by the recent blizzards that had blown over the area.
After a while of trudging around the wet snow (and cursing because her favorite pair of sneakers had gotten soaked to the core) she finally found Asuka’s temporary residence, and brought her out in a flash of red light. “Foo? Mien, mienfoo!” she heard it growl, before abruptly turning around and showing her its back! She then rolled her eyes and sighed; for she knew that she was in so much trouble with this little one—who knew that even Pokemon could get jealous?! “I know, Asuka. I’m sorry for keeping you away from the world for so long…” she began in a pleading voice, still looking at the Mienfoo’s back. If one could see the little Martial Arts ‘mon’s reaction, it was obvious that it had some pent-up emotions and wanted to… talk. Only thing is, no Pokemon could speak the same language as the humans did…
“Look, I know I’ve been busy, but let me make it up to you—the first wild one you see, she’s all yours. Just… don’t hit too hard; I don’t like resentment… okay?” Izumi trailed off, crossing her fingers and hoping for the best. Still, the Mienfoo didn’t turn around to face her—for one of the triangular-shaped ‘mons had wandered into range while the two were having a master-to-Pokemon heart-to-heart talk. “Snooooor.” It growled, which made both Izumi and the Mienfoo look up—and it was seemingly shaking like crazy—even if it was an Ice-type ‘mon (she knew this since her own father had one in his possession, which eventually turned into a Glalie at some point), then why the hell was it shaking like crazy? “Well, Asuka, I don’t know if you’re still going to listen to me, but let’s get going… let’s get that Swift attack out and rolling now, shall we?” she asked in that same pleading tone—and who could say no to someone who was truly sorry?
“Mien, mienfoo.” Came the reply from Asuka, and it took a deep breath, before blasting a ray of star-shaped particles towards the lone quivering triangular-shaped creature that was looking at them, before it had time to say, “Snooooor. Snorunt!?” as the star-shaped particles pelted it out of surprise! Since it was just basically too… scared to do anything, Izumi quickly followed it up with, “Now, use your Aura Sphere on it!” while bracing herself for the worst—if she ever caught this little one, would it retaliate with negativity once she got around to raising it? “Mien, mienfoo!” came the reply—and then it looked like the Snorunt had divided itself into two—as it had used some sort of attack—only for Izumi to realize that Aura Sphere was an attack that would never miss, no matter the circumstances. She watched as the sphere of energy hit the shivering Snorunt head-on; and it rolled off into the drifts that were building up again.
“Asuka, you can stand down now…” she trailed off, pulling herself through the freshly-fallen snow and then walking past the Mienfoo; and eventually coming to a stop in front of the Snorunt that was still shuddering—and it attempted to retreat as she approached; but instead she looked at it on an eye-to-eye level, and said, “I’m sorry if my companion beat you up. Would you like to get stronger? If yes… would you come with me?” she asked it with an earnest tone creeping into her voice. She then saw that it had pulled itself to its feet, and then seemingly bowed in front of her—this was its sign of accepting; or at least that’s what it looked to her. “Come on now,” she said, taking out another unoccupied Pokeball and letting it open up, swallowing the Snorunt in a flash of red light…
It was cold, very very cold. Hemlock tugged her scarf and jacket a bit tighter, and had her dear Litwick hover ever so closer with his Will-O-Wisps to try and assuage this situation. She hated this mountain range already, but she was here on a job - someone had complained about some wailing banshee or something and Hemlock had to investigate. So here she was, crunching along an outer path near the base of the mountain in chilly air.
Though, it wasn't like she was out here for long without any incident. As she stumbled through the snow, leggings getting coated in the powdery flakes, she tripped and caught herself with her hands - and found herself face to face with a miniature snowman! Hemlock paused in silence as a chilled breath left her mouth, which was met by a chilly breath from the little Snorunt before her, who tried to scurry away, only to... trip, just like Hemlock did.
Hemlock paused and scooted up to her knees, reaching over and picking the poor little guy up, where he - oh wait, she - was pouting and seeming a tad out of it. Hemlock paused and, holding up a hand to keep Matches back a bit, reached into her coat pocket and pulled out a small pouch filled with Colbur berries. Hemlock dug her glove off and then pulled a few berries out, holding them out and offering them to the little Ice-type. After a moment of hesitant sniffing, the little Snorunt took the gift and nommed them happily, leaving Hemlock to stand and pat it on the head as she went to make her way further up the mountain.
After another moment of walking, Hemlock and Matches turned at the sound of the snow moving, worried about a more serious threat - however, it was once more the Snorunt from before, cowering behind a small rock but obviously intent on studying Hemlock. The young coordinator moved forward to the little guy, putting on a light smile. "H-hey, you." She said, crouching down to get at its eye level - or close to it, anyways. "Do you... w-want to, um, c-come with me?"
The Snorunt seemed quite pleased with this prospect, and Hemlock dug around once more until she pulled out a Pokeball, holding it out for the Snorunt to touch and get encapsulated by in a voluntary capture on the icy mountain.

T
he white cloud floating in front of Jason's face was nothing more than his breath because of the freezing temperatures in the cave. He cursed under his breath about the cold, not used to it due to him being a Hoenn native. "I on-n-nly came here beacause someone mentioned-d-d large amounts of Snorunt in the area." he said to himself, sticking his gloved hands under his arms, hoping to warm them. He continued walking in one of the many caves of Mt. Coronet, stopping occasionally when he heard something that could be a Pokemon.
Desperately trying to make a fire, Jason thought, "I wish I had-d-d a fire type, or that-t-t Jasmine or Sebastian knew some fi-" He didn't get a chance to finish his thought because standing in front of him, inspecting his electric lantern, was a Snorunt. Carefully, not wanting to startle it, Jason took out one of his pokeballs. "Hey there little guy..." he said softly, catching the little ice pokemon's attention. It looked up at him, poked his lantern, and then looked back up at him. "Oh that? It's just a lantern.." Jason said, watching the tiny creature inspect the light. Curious, unsure if it would work, Jason held out the pokeball that was in his hand to the Snorunt. It looked to him, then the pokeball, and poked it, pressing the capture button and surrounding it in a flash of white light.
Maybe she should just become an ice breeder, because apparently that was the most of her pokemon at the time and here she was going to catch another. Jovia had heard about the snorunt swarm and of course she had to get one herself, even though it took a bit of travel to get there herself. Seeing a female that she wanted well enough the young woman tossed out a Pokeball that the red light formed into a vulpix. "Alright Noani, we are after that Snorunt right there, don't kill her just do will o wisp then ember as soon as you possibly can."
The fire type just glanced from Jovia to the ice type nearby before sending out the ghostly flames, they hit and did well enough though the Snorunt retaliated with a swift bite to the fox's tail. Back and forth the battle went, Jovia just having Noani use ember on the ice pokemon while the Snorunt kept trying to use headbutt or ice fang or even bite. Quickly a pokeball was sent when the two were tired, to try to capture the snorunt before Jovia raised a pokeball up to return Noani. "You did good, take a rest if she isn't caught I'll use a different pokemon to finish her off."

s the light swirled around the Snorunt, Jasone beamed in pride! He was able to catch a pokemon with out having to battle it! His parents would be s- Oh wait.. His friends wou- Oh, none of those either... His pokemon would be so proud of him! The gleeful thoughts were, however, cut short when the light stopped just short of the pokemon, as if an invisible barrier was protecting it. With the light fading away, Jason stared at the pokemon, utterly fascinated. "Whoah.." he mumbled in awe, while the little Pokemon just turned it's body away from Jason and returned to poking at the lantern.
Pulling out a pokeball as silently and slowly as he could, Jason kept his eyes on the Snorunt. A few seconds later, that felt like hours, he found a pokeball and tossed it in the air, letting Jasmine out. Before she even had a chance to ask what was going on, Jason yelled, "Hypnotize that pokemon!" Jasmine stared at the pokemon in question for a few seconds, feeling for any hostile emotions, before deciding against it. She simply turned away and looked at Jason, thinking, "Really? It's an innocent pokemon..." Shaking her head, she made her way back towards her trainer when she was hit in the back by an icy wind. With the fury only a female can have, she spun around and glared at the Snorunt. It let out a "Runt." before blasting her with another icy wind. "Enough!" Jasmine yelled telepathically in the mind of the Snorunt. Her eyes began to glow a vivid pink before she hit the pokemon with psychic energy, hurling it into a wall. She then proceeded to put it to sleep with a timely hypnosis. Furious, she turned away from the sleeping Snorunt walked back to her trainer.
"Errr... Good job?" Jason said as Jasmine approached him. She ignored him and handed him an empty pokeball from his pack before hitting her own pokeball and returning herself. Not wanting to ask what was wrong with her, he sighed and tossed the pokeball at the sleeping Snorunt.

Softly she swore under her breath as the Snorunt broke out of the Pokeball, quickly taking one of her other ones and letting out Rocky her onix only glancing over from the rock snake to the ice type again. "Alright Rocky, Noani brought her down you need to help a little bit now... Just a Dragonbreath please!"
Rocky turned towards the Snorunt, barely even feeling the icy wind the Snorunt blew at him while raising an eyebrow... well if he had one. Opening his mouth and letting out the draconic flame down towards the ice type engulfing the area the snorunt was at. "Alright Rocky, stay right there and lets see if this works again." Tossing a Pokeball out towards the Snorunt hoping to catch her again. Frowning a little bit as she watched while walking slowly over to Rocky. A hand moving out to touch the onix to try and make sure he wasn't too hurt or too cold.

"That will be all for the moment - thank you, Osiris."[/color] Said the Professor as he returned his Alakazam to the Poke Ball, looking around carefully in the strange environment. He had passed by this area before, but to be honest, he had never really paid attention to the falling snow of the place. It was so peaceful, so calm and silent - it would be a glorious place to read. If it weren't for the continuously falling snow, or the bitter cold. For a passing moment, the Fossil Professor understood why some Professors liked to seclude themselves in places like this, so far away from the world, so silent and peaceful and calm and cold... And then he went to his business. Gathering his royal-blue coat around him and pushing up his glasses, the Fossil Professor walked off into the snow, Poke Ball in hand.
He had heard that Snorunts were swarming at the moment in Mt. Coronet, and a chance to catch the species would be beneficial. Not only for his research, but for his Training - he lacked Ice Types. Preferably, he'd like a female - Froslass seemed like such an interesting Pokemon, and Arthur was sure Morgana and Phantasma would love a new Ghost-Type friend. That was, if he could train one to evolving. He was slow and meticulous in his training, and while it meant his Pokemon were often strong, it also meant that they took their time with evolution.
"Snooorunt!" Yelled out a voice from the snow. Quickly, a Snorunt popped out of the snow, ready to encounter the stranger. From what Arthur could see, it was a female - perfect. The Professor opened the Poke Ball in his hand and, with a flash of light, let out Mangetrix, his Magnemite. The Electric-Type looked at the Wild Pokemon curiously.
"Magntrix, we're catching the Snorunt. Please start with Flash Cannon, then Thunder Wave."
The Magnet Pokemon nodded, beginning to glint as it gathered energy. With a glow, the Magnemite shot a ball of brilliance at the Snorunt, using Flash Cannon with dead accuracy. However, the Ice-Type simply grunted out and braced itself, as a green shield surrounded its body. The Protect move took the Flash Cannon with ease, bouncing it off. Magnetrix tried to follow up by shooting a jolt of Thunder Wave at the Wild Pokemon, but the Ice-Type simply vanished from its spot, to be replaced by a large number of copies. Arthur recognized the Double Team as the Snorunts all began firing Icy Wind at Magnetrix. The Magnet Pokemon endured, but type resistances would only defend it for so long.
"With haste, Magnetrix - use Electroweb to catch them, and then Flash Cannon!"
Magnetrix began to spin its magnets, energy gathering at each pole. The Snorunts began moving forward, ready to attack - as the real Snorunt jumped up and charged at Magnetrix with Headbutt, the Electric-Type shot strands of electric wire at the Snorunt, pinning it down and dealing some damage. Taking the chance that his enemy was stuck and trying to remove the damaging Electroweb, Magnetrix charged up again and shot a Flash Cannon, hitting the Snorunt directly. The Ice-Type went flying, before hitting the floor, fainted. The Professor saw his chance - grabbing an empty Poke Ball, Arthur threw the capsule at the Wild Pokemon. The Poke Ball absorbed the Snorunt with a flash of light, before falling to the floor, twitching.
