Red eyes blinked as they regarded the speaker. "Should we entertain her request?"

Altair looked thoughtful for a few moments before smiling and standing up from his plush office chair. "Well, there is no harm in granting a lady's request. Besides, I don't have a beef with her or her eccentric husband. Only grandfather does with the latter." His smile became a little bigger. "Grandfather may own the place, but I do call the shots now. And I say... what's a little forgiveness?"

Maria giggled. "All you had to say was yes, sir."

Altair shrugged. "I know, but I prefer my answer. Now Maria... prepare the requested pokemon for the breeding. I believe it's time for me to work my magic again. THEN I will go to Kalos."

With news of a pokemon she needed for a train breed hitting her ears, Yumi grabbed one of her incubators and headed off to one of the ranches she'd visited in the past. Placing one of the incubators before the owner of the ranch she gave her usual cheerey smile that she had when she was adding a new member to her little team.

The old woman chuckled to herself as she finished confirming her purchase online from that blond breeder's website. She had to hand it to her grandson. This was easily one of the best investments he had ever made. Breeder affiliations were so handy to have, especially one as modern as this one.

Of course, it took her over thirty minutes and a lecture from the computer technicians at Celestic Town in order to figure out how to work the blasted contraption that these young people were so obsessed with, but it was worth it to avoid travel costs and the possibility of having to leave her husband unguarded.

Now all she had to do was send the payment of two fishes -namely a Carvanha and a Luvdisc- in order to pay for the very precious egg and then she was set.

Maria sighed as she got a message from Altair. The man was supposed to be in Kalos taking a vacation and even there he was taking care of business. The same thing she would be doing after she reported this to his grandfather.

To think, this entire breeding gig was supposed to be a vacation for the young man -or so his grandfather said- only for the guy to turn it into one of the most successful businesses in the city without exposing or using his celebrity status. Now that was just crazy. And talent, but that's unrelated.

But first, she had to finish this last breeding before the week ended.

Maria frowned as she closed her laptop and took out the reserves she had of the special aphrodisiac drug that his grandfather had made for the business. It was a variation of the usual mushrooms that her employer used, but more concentrated and potent compared to the natural stuff in the mushrooms. She wasn't sure if it was toxic or not, but if her employer's grandfather used it then it couldn't hurt to do so as well, right?

It would be better than depleting the stocks of mushrooms and having to explain to Altair why the breeding failed, anyway. Now if only she could stop feeling like a naughty child as she went towards the still-unnamed breeding room....

Red eyes gleamed in amusement as they finished typing up the acceptance email in response to the one that The Gardens of Babylon sent her. It looked like they finally managed to finish the breeding job. It was a good thing that most pokemon reproduced like... well, Lopunnies, or else this might've taken much longer than she would've hoped.

At least now she had the perfect gift for whenever he went back to Sinnoh to see her and the family again. He may have only been gone for a few months but its been far too long for her already. Now she'll just have to drop in with this letter stating that he should go to his site and get the payment from there, with the payment being a Gyarados. It should be more than enough of a payment for one measly egg, right?

Altair had decided to extend his vacation at the last minute. Great. Just great. Since the man's grandfather was one of the laziest men alive now in his old age and because Altair had taken over the entirety of his business, it was now up to Maria and her friends to keep the place running while he was gone.

"We should get a raise for this. We're doing so much for him while he's gone." Maria muttered as she and her friends marched towards the still unnamed breeding room. "Or at least a bonus. I can work with a bonus. I swear, if that man wasn't so hot and so filthy rich...."

“Alright… just gotta take it… then the girls will let you in the sorority… you can do this.”

After a few long minutes of gathering her courage, a young college woman slowly and awkwardly shuffled into the Gardens of Babylon. She immediately looked to where the receptionist would be, but it would seem that the place was busy; there was no one in sight. She DID see what she came here for, sitting on a shelf behind the shop counter; an egg.

She paused as she leaned on the counter. ‘Are you really gonna do this?’ she thought to herself, ‘You could get in serious trouble…’ Reassuring herself that the girls would protect her, she put her hands on the counter, shifted her rear onto her and spun herself to the other side of the counter. Her hands reached for the egg…. The woman went wide-eyed at the sound of a hallway door opening.

“OH CRAP!”

She didn’t even bother to look towards the sound. She just snatched the egg, jumping over the counter and running like hell out the door, holding the egg over her head and yelling, “I GOT IT I GOT IT!” in a way that did not imply any sort of pleasure from this act.

Of course, her friends were nowhere near her. Fear tended to scramble the brain.

"...oh no. No no no no no!" Maria could feel a cold sweat start down her back as she stared at her treacherous phone. "This can't be happening! Damn it boss, why won't you pick up! Can't you sense that I'm in a crisis here?!"

She was dead. She was so dead. Altair wasn't picking up and the big boss -his grandfather- was due back soon, and they had an egg stolen. Not only that, but the egg was stolen because her friends were distracting the guards Altair had put in place while he was gone. If she didn't get it back soon, then it was her hide on the line!

And that wasn't her only problem. She also had to contend with two breedings for the week! ARRRRRGH!

"When I get my hands on that little bitch who stole the egg...." Maria's lips thinned to a frown as she trailed off, clutching a particular pokeball in her hands.

Well, she had better get to the breedings first before dispensing almighty womanly justice upon those who have earned her wrath. After some matchmaking, then she can go and wreak havoc, painting the walls and streets red with the little bitch's blood.

Zernebog jolted up from his nap. "Huh? Who was that?" He was groggy-eyed and very frazzled because he had been enjoying that nap.

Diomedes grinned and pointed at his jacket pocket, which was buzzing faintly. "Oh. Right. Phone. Stupid ringtone."

He scratched the back of his head and took the phone out from his jacket pocket. Then he proceeded to open it and carefully check the latest message after taking a full minute to navigate. Once he was done, an eyebrow rose.

"Well... at least they know how to be grateful." He chuckled as he read the rest of the message. "Just for the Growlithe egg and Bulbasaur egg, I'll send them a little tracker back-up for the little thief problem they've got."

With a smirk, he quickly went to the next function and dialled up a very familiar number from Unova.

"Hey there." Zernebog's smirk grew bigger. "Boy have I got the job for you...."
