Josh chuckled, shaking his head. "No, Izumi. That's not a challenge to your appetite. Please don't strain yourself just because I said that" He said. "I mean, I just don't think we'll spend hours and hours eating. We've got all night, and we got here at a decent time. Take your time, take in the sights and sounds. The life all around us that we may not see anywhere else. We have a good opportunity, whats the use of wasting and squandering it?" He would ask her, with a chuckle escaping his lips once again. "I don't doubt your appetite either, trust me. I've got a decent one too, you know that, as does Lightning. But no need to rush into it. Its not like its free either, like your restaurant was. Unless I'm wrong and that's a part of the Bubble Dome Date Night Package Deal" He remarked, smirking faintly. The blonde shrugged as Izumi would take out her camera and begin snapping pictures as he would grab his phone and begin doing the same thing. Of course, with a lessened flash so as not to scare the fish.
"Aye" He responded once he'd gotten a good round of pictures, his words, well, word, a response to what Izumi had begun saying. "It's a shame we didn't get to see more" He would admit, scratching his head. He would smirk when Izumi would bring up them possibly having a Wailord or two. "I actually have two Wailmers. Maybe I should evolve them as well, just so I can say that I have a 'Wailord or two', eh?" He would cheek, grinning over at her. They would move forward, and Josh wondered if they'd already seen most of the place, if they were going around in circles, or if there was more. "Hmm..." He muttered, before looking over at her when she asked her question.
"Yeah. I would" He said with a smirk. "Explore, have fun... See what kind of adventures we can have" He said quietly.

“Heh, now you’re the one telling me to slow down,” she cracked at him with a grin on her face, before slowly but surely reaching across him in order to be able to conk him lightly on the nose. “Well, I do have enough pictures, but… hey, can we have one of the both of us together in the frame?” she blurted out, before feeling the blush creep across her face without realizing it. Izumi then looked around, hoping that there was nobody else sneaking up behind them just to make sure.
“If we could… I’d want to go back and explore all the other regions that we missed out on. Well, skipping Kanto and Hoenn for me, because like duh, I lived in Hoenn and I’ve been to Kanto on…certain business,” she remarked; hopefully not wanting to bring up a topic she’d rather leave buried.
“In any case, yeah,” she continued, squeezing herself as close to him as possible before flipping the camera around so that the lens was facing them. “Say cheese, you sucker,” she said through her smile as she then squeezed the button and watched as the shutter then went off several times, clicking noises distinct even though the place was absolutely silent. “Can’t have a complete picture album without us in it to remember this date by, can we,” she remarked with a toothy smirk before she flipped the camera around again and began to snap off even more pictures of the marine life that was lazily making its way around the entire place.
“I don’t know if the tunnel loops around or something, all I’m sure of is the fact that it stretches on until a point; then it branches off to those two open-wading areas…” she trailed off, trying to remember the basic layout that her Breeder contact had described to her prior to their visiting the place this evening. “Come on, let’s keep going! We don’t have all evening!” she added with a chuckle as she continued to walk forward, trying to snap as many pictures as she could manage of everything she could see.

The blonde would shrug and chuckle. "Hey, there's times where anyone's gotta slow down. This is just one of those times" He would explain casually. It was true though, if they didn't slow down and enjoy the view they had, enjoyed the time they had and took their time, they would quickly run out of things to do on this date and still have time to spare. And then what would they do? Izumi's question would catch him off guard, but it would cause him to start laughing, mashing his face to the aquarium glass and scaring away some fish to hide his face from her as he laughed, hard.
"A selfie, Izumi? Really?" He would joke. "You've stooped so low" He would crack as he would move in to squeeze in with her for her photo. "I suppose photos to remember a date by are necessary" He remarked, laughing a bit. He was teasing her, of course, not really criticizing her for pictures, even if selfies were sort of... Well, ridiculous. From there, he'd walk along with her. "Why skip Kanto?" He would ask, tilting his head to her earlier statement. "I've only been there once, to visit Arthur's lab. I kinda wanna go again, Zu. There was so much I probably missed, like the S.S Anne, or Saffron City, or all kinds of neat sights! I'd kill to go see it" He said. No pun intended.

The raven-haired girl could only look at her companion with a rather shifty-eyed look, before noticing that he’d mashed his face against the glass before finally acquiescing to her request. It was kind of odd for him to do such a thing—but the moment she saw the oily imprints on the glass, she could only guess what he’d done. “Oh, shut it you, the day isn’t complete without pictures, now get over here,” she remarked as the camera went off a few more times; before she deemed herself satisfied and turned off the camera in order to be able to save battery power on the thing—they still had to explore a large portion of the Dome, at any rate.
As for the question as to why she’d wanted to skip Kanto, she then looked down at the floor; and her gaze became rather distant. “Well… let’s just say that I already got the opportunity to go around that particular region a long time ago,” was all she said before looking up and seeing that they were now at a point where the path split off into two. Where did they lead? “Hmm, where to now,” she pondered, examining the two options and trying to make up her mind as to where they should go next. “When in doubt… head left!” she crowed out, before quickly pulling Josh along as fast as she could manage; she knew he was going to be protesting as she continued to haul him as best as her current strength can manage (while bearing with all of his protesting, as always).
“I hope you’re ready to get your feet wet,” she added with a smirk on her face as she continued to hurtle through the corridor, until they reached what looked like a door that had been left ajar. Finally letting go of his arm, she then shuffled forward and threw her weight upon the door, attempting to force it open as best as she could manage…

Josh would blink when she would "explain" why she didn't want to go to Kanto. "Well, just because you've explored it doesn't mean I have" He said, nudging her with a smirk. "I mean, if you hadn't lived in Hoenn prior and you wanted to explore it, I'm not going to NOT go there with you just because I've been there previously" He said. "Come on, Zu, that's a horrible excuse" He added with a laugh. It was true. While Josh didn't know the real truth as to why Izumi didn't want to go, obviously since there were lies involved, her excuse WAS kind of shit and selfish sounding.
They then hit a choice, left or right. Of course, Izumi pulled him left before he could say anything, and the blonde just shrugged in response. "Feet wet?" He would ask in response to her next statement, blinking as they headed through the corridor and into an open door, and then to another corridor and to... Another door?

“Oh, shut it, you. I have my reasons,” she continued; but this time the tone was more on the serious side; no laughter or jokes associated with it. In either case, she wasn’t going to be too privy on revealing the reasons; most of which involved a certain deceased individual. Either way, the moment she threw the door open, the tangy smell of the sea was the first thing that would hit their nostrils, and the raven-haired girl then caught sight of what appeared to be a wooden construction that led out to what appeared to be a ‘pond’ of sorts that was now decorated with floating candles and wreaths of flowers. “Oh my…” she trailed off, catching sight of the beauty that had been laid out before them.
Izumi could only stare at one of the wading areas in wonder—were there friendly Water-types lounging around in the shallow surf too; or were they relocated to the other wading area just for this evening? “Take a look at this, it’s beautiful,” she remarked, quickly fishing out her camera, popping it open and taking several pictures once again, before turning the camera off again and then looking at him rather mischievously. “I hope you’re ready to get soaked…” she trailed off with a suspicious grin on her face; before quickly stowing her camera away in her black purse, and then proceeding to kick off her flats. After she’d dropped the wallet near where she’d left her shoes, she then removed her stockings, leaving that there too, before quickly running across the wooden platform and finally finding the steps that led into the wading area!
She then descended the steps before feeling the water rise up to near her knees (she didn’t know how far it would go up on his end since he was much taller than her) and she then began to dance around in the shallow surf, twirling around and just basically letting loose!

"Alright, alright, alright" Josh said, rolling his eyes. No, he didn't really know her reasons. She said flat out that she'd been there enough and that merited her not going with him. "I'll just go by myself" He added with a sigh. He'd have asked Yumi if she would want to go with him, but considering her own.... Past... Let's just say... She probably doesn't want to step foot in Kanto either. And he doubted Izumi was also an ex Rocket. She didn't seem the type. Granted, he didn't think Yumi was the type either but she was suspicious in some ways too. Izumi... Less believable in that regard.
After throwing themselves through the door, they would find themselves in some kind of.... Wading area? Quite interesting, actually. Floating candles and flower wreaths? Well, this was certainly a date. "So is this a wading area or a sax bed made of water?" He would remark with a snicker. Oh boy. Everybody run. Snarky Josh is back. Snarkinator is on the loose.
"You'd be more soaked in another environment" He would joke. Perverted comments? That was new! He would chuckle as he would kick off his shoes and socks and follow once he hiked up his pantlegs a bit. He waded in after her, though it was obvious the shallow water was much less... Effective for the 6'2 man.

Of course, the raven-haired Trainer had her reasons for withholding such information. If she deigned to tell him as to why she was particularly avoiding that one particular region, let’s just say that there was another individual involved, and that the memories of the place were somewhat…unsavory, at best. Either way, she then heard him sassing her from above the ‘pier’ (if that’s what one would call it) and continued to watch and wait for him to finally join her, snickering and hurling all sorts of comedic barbs his way. “Man, your feet, they smell of toe jam!” she sniggered out loud in his direction, watching as he slipped out of the footwear he had on in the best manner he could manage.
“Come on, the water’s waiting for you. I wouldn’t be surprised if it evaporated on contact,” she added with a healthy chuckle, before watching him finally join her out in the wading area—and then noticed that as opposed to her knee-level in the waves, the obvious height difference was highlighted with how…far the water had traveled up his legs. “Roll up your slacks, man, can’t go walking around with wet clothes for the rest of the night,” she added with a snigger, hoping that he’d address one of the two loose pant legs that were starting to come unraveled as he finally joined her in the knee-high water. “Your snarky comments make a full comeback. Was wondering where the sassy Josh had gone off to,” she chuckled a few moments later, before bending over and then suddenly splashing him with some water!

Secrets, secrets, secrets. Why did everybody have so many secrets? Josh had been perfectly honest with Izumi about HIS past. Every little detail of it. But she for some reason didn't trust him whatsoever. Whatever. Regardless, her... Quip in response just made him raise an eyebrow. What in the blue hell was Izumi yammering about? That made absolutely NO bloody sense. Toe jam? What. He didn't know, so he didn't respond to that. Though he did smirk at the attempt of a flirt on her end. Though to her concern...
"Zu, I already rolled them up" Josh would point out, motioning toward them again. Seriously, he'd done that last post. How did she not notice? "The waters not that deep for me. For short people... Just a little more" He would tease, walking over and ruffling her hair playfully. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Snarky Josh is back. Whatcha gonna do?" He would tease, chuckling. "Just try not to sit down in the water, eh? I guarantee it'll probably bloody evaporate, y'know?" He would snark.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on May 11, 2015 7:37:12 GMT -5
So apparently mister Snarky didn’t get the ‘toe jam’ comment; and all she could do was roll her eyes and continued to splash some more water in his direction. “You idiot, I was trying to make a crack about how your feet smell, but then again it went right over your head,” she added with a pointed eye roll in his direction, before calmly and casually flipping him the bird for the snarky height remark he tossed her way and kicking up some water headed his way. Whether or not he chose to dodge the incoming water bombs was up to him, but one thing was for sure: this date was turning into snarky territory now.
“Well, sorry if I’m just that short. Who knew that a last-minute growth spurt wouldn’t do anything at all?” she muttered with another dour look his way, before resisting the urge to roll her eyes. “Anyway, how does the sand feel beneath your toes? Kinda ticklish, isn’t it?” she added before wading out to a further part of the Splash Zone. She was fully aware that on normal days, the place was crawling with all sorts of Water-types; but for the moment none were to be seen, no matter where she looked.
“…how do you like the place so far? Is it living up to your standards?” she asked him sometime later, coming to a stop and looking up at the dark, peaceful sky that had yet to parade its entourage of stars.

"But why would it matter if my feet smell?" He asked. "Feet are supposed to bloody smell. They're FEET. That's not even an insult, or tease, that's bloody common sense. Its like telling someone their arse smells after they fart in your bloody face. It's common sense" He remarked with a raised eyebrow and a "Duhhh?" Look toward her, not really understanding how that was supposed to be funny. He supposed he should lighten up but... It it was such a weird attempt at a tease!
He would shrug to her question. "Doesn't tickle. It's definitely soft though" He'd add with a laugh as he bounded over just to playfully tickle her sides. "I've always been a fan of beaches, so this wading area is great. The atmosphere is amazing too. Nothing like anything I have ever seen before" He would add with a small smile.
To her third question, he would nod. "I do. I really do" He said with a chuckle as he would stop the tickling and wrap an arm around Izumi playfully. "I'm really glad you brought me here Zu" He said quietly.

“Well, what if I told you that your feet smell like rotten cheese, would you get the joke?” she began with a wry look on her face, before turning away for a few moments to actually roll her eyes without him seeing what she was up to; before she suddenly felt a tickling assault attacking her from both sides! “J-J-Josh, whatever you’re doing, s-s-stop, I’m—“ she blurted out before finally flailing around in the water and trying to keep her footing steady as he continued to tickle her for a few moments while she was laughing at the bodily contact, before feeling his arm wrap around her as he stood abnormally close before the topic turned to a more serious tone. All the raven-haired Trainer could do at the moment was to smile and savor the moment; but inside it was utter panic and chaos.
The setting is too perfect! Come on, you can work up the courage to heckle him, but for a teensy, tiny confession you’re all flustered and tongue-tied?! You’re such a chicken, she chastised herself in the back of her mind before she lifted one of her own free arms and then sneakily wrapped them around the closest part of him that she could reach. She could feel her throat getting dry, and that there were signs of an actual attempt to run; but since she was enjoying his company she decided to swallow the panic and fear that was bubbling up inside her before she finally managed to look up at him after several minutes of silence had passed. “U-uhm…” she began, feeling the blush creep across her cheeks in full intensity, before suddenly looking back down at the water.
Oh, great. Izumi, you suck! You froze up again! she shouted in the back of her mind; she could feel her ears burning red at this very moment, before coughing very slightly. “W-well, glad to know that I chose the right place for our first…well, you know, date,” she continued, hoping that the several seconds of awkward silence wouldn’t be noticed at all.

"I get the joke. I just think its a bad joke" He would remark with a chuckle as the blonde would get right back to tickling Izumi without even hesitating or stopping. Seriously, how was "Your feet smell like shit" supposed to be a joke? That's like, common bloody sense! But then he did stop, like I said he would. He let the hug, the little cuddle remain for a little bit as he contemplated the scenery around them. He took a deep breath. He was aware of Izumi's... Feelings, but he didn't know HOW she felt, if that made sense. All he knew was it was "more then friends" but he was clueless as to the full context of it. Perhaps she would be able to inform him about this in full later?
Josh noted the odd blush that had started to come to Izumi's cheeks, and the blonde tilted his head. "Zu? You alright?" He would ask curiously, blinking. Was he squeezing too hard, maybe? He loosened up a bit just in case, but otherwise she seemed just fine with the contact between them. Finally, she ended up speaking, and he smiled faintly in response, nodding. "You're certainly good at picking places. Even if they're a little... Extravagent" He remarked with a chuckle. "First a massive buffet at your own bloody restaurant. Now the Bubble Dome? I would have been fine with a walk in the park" He added with a bit of a laugh. "You keep forgetting I'm not used to this stuff. Not that I mind it, of course" He said, pulling her into a little tighter of a hug to see if it was okay with her.

“You know I suck at making cheesy jokes so yeah, have at it,” she remarked at his first retort, before internally hitting her head against a wall in the back of her mind. On the outside, she was calm, collected, and definitely blushing. On the inside though, that was another story entirely—it was like there was a huge upheaval that had taken place and she was running around in circles like a headless chicken and just basically flipping all the nearest tables that she could reach.
Oh, you moron! Why did you freeze up?! Look what you’ve done?! I thought you were going to confess right now, rather than over dinner? Well, better out here than inside, because I might just end up flipping the dinner table in his face, but then again… agggh I can’t make up my bloody mind! She screamed to herself in the back of her head, frowning slightly when she felt his contact disengage for a little bit. She then felt her lips puckering up a bit due to the disengaged contact, but then she heard him speak up once more—about how he wasn’t exactly used to living… a ‘normal’ life.
“Well… you’re in a normal world now. It’s time to get used to it, man,”she remarked with a soft chuckle, before the blush crept back across her face once again—only because he’d resumed contact with her once again, sweeping her into a hug; and that made her ears blush to an alarming level. Okay, take it easy, rein it in girl. Don’t faint in front of him! You can do it! I know you can! Just say it… say it! She continued to chastise herself as she then let out another soft sigh, before trying to look back up at him—and seeing what little scruff he’d missed to trim before he’d come out here.
Snerking for a few moments, she then turned around as best as she could manage, before trying to catch his gaze—and then took a deep breath. “Okay… you must be wondering why I’m freezing up all of a sudden and just acting plain weird on you… right?” she began after a few more moments of silence, hoping that he’d hear her out.

"Yeah, yeah" He would tease toward her with a chuckle. "Cheesy jokes aren't exactly your strong suit, Zu" He'd add. Hey, if she enjoyed teasing him with little jabs at him at times, why couldn't he do the same, right? Was it just him though, or was Izumi acting a little bit... Strangely today? Sure, the whole date thing was strange enough, as was her actually paying the auction for him... Not that she would need to pay much, he doubted anyone actually bidded on him. So okay, the 1 PokeDollar extravagant Bubble Dome date... Was still a little much by his standards, but she'd still been acting strange on it all the same. Did she just look different? Smell different? Act different? Something about her hair maybe? He wasn't entirely sure, really. But she was... Off, somehow. He just didn't know how.
He didn't even notice her lips puckering. But he did nod to her words. "Aye, I suppose so" He said. "I guess I wasn't expecting a normal world to be so... Extravagent, after being so used to simple for so long. I guess I'll try and adjust. People keep complaining about how my mother has quite a bit of money, but I hardly spend myself, unless they do it for me or if its necessary. I don't go to fancy restaurants, or go on expensive dates. I used to walk everywhere on my first hundred trips through Hoenn, until I got a flying Pokemon that could carry me. The bike was made from scratch, from ripped parts. I guess I'm just not used to luxuries and stuff like this" He added with a chuckle.
When she brought up her random freeze-ups and such, he nodded. "Aye, I was wondering about that. What's up?" He would ask curiously, looking her in the eyes.
