elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

WELCOME!
Make yourself comfortable at Bright Beginnings! It's a pretty catchy name huh? The owner Henri thought it up all on his own. Took him a few days but he finally managed to get it right. Unlike most hatcheries there are no set prices here. Everything is done via haggling or trading. Mainly because the owner isn't really sure how much to charge. He does know that he won't be cheated if he can help it though so don't try and be a jerk! Mr. Pinch doesn't like jerks. We've got 1/2 of our breedings for this week!

BREEDING #1:
It was kind of nerve-wracking, trying to go about getting his two Pokemon to breed especially since he had just captured Almond not long ago. "Come on! It's not so bad! You guys knew what you were getting into... Well, not Almond but still. You guys need to do this so that we can get established already!" He had to get his Pokemon to breed somehow and if he had to resort to begging he wouldn't be above it. With a reluctant huff Riya hopped off to the more secluded room with Almond following behind. It was all Henri could do was to let out a sigh of relief whenever he closed the door. "One breeding down..." Only a million more to go.

BREEDING #1:
Not a few moments after Henri had closed the door it suddenly burst open again with the sound of distressed squeaking and Almond running out of it. Riya had a somewhat victorious look on her face, one that she usually got whenever she'd picked a fight with Pierce and won and Henri instantly knew what had happened. "Riya no! You weren't supposed to fight him!" He sounded a little more desperate. What was he supposed to do now? Picking Almond up he sighed and set him back in the room gently.
He had to be stern, otherwise this would just keep happening. "N-now see here! You guys have to breed okay? You guys can't come out until you make some eggs this time... Or until you get hungry or something... Here I'll give you guys a treat." It was easy to tell his 'stern' behavior was just a bad front but Riya could at least tell he was serious about this whole breeding business this time. With a squeak she gave him a confident nod and stared at Almond for a moment.
Grabbing something that was supposed to help Pokemon who weren't very successful with breeding the first time around he split it between the two of them. They eagerly ate the mushrooms and Henri hoped that it would help this time. Maybe this time she wouldn't double kick him in the face... Once more Henri closed the door and rubbed the back of his neck. Things were going great... Absolutely great. Just peachy keen. Being a breeder was just as easy as everyone said it was... Yeah...

Josh would pull into the breeding center via his motorcycle. Was he a general customer here? Nope. But he had made a phone call in order to buy a Nidoran egg off this new breeder, so he would make an exception from his usual. His rates were a lot higher then Kouji's but... Hey, why not? He would walk in, paying an assistant the 30 dots and taking the egg, before riding off.

Henri was mildly distracted by the fact that Riya had managed to somehow kick Roni in the face again and that had caused a fight to break out. Luckily for him Almond was more than capable of running the front counter for him. With a cheery squeak the Minccino accepted the money from the person and handed over the egg. It was good to hope that one of the eggs he'd helped to produce would go somewhere nice. Hopefully the man who had bought it would treat his child with respect. Maybe one day they would meet again. But until that day he could only dream.

BREEDING #2:
With his first breeding under his belt and some new Pokemon under his wing Henri decided that it was in fact time for breeding number two to take place. He was even more excited by the fact that one of the Pokemon actually had an egg move, meaning that if it passed it on there would be a chance people would want to take the babies home. Right? "Alright now Oliver, Ginger. I know this is your first time trying to breed so just know that if you fail its okay! After all Riya and Almond failed the first time too. Just make sure you don't stress yourselves out okay?"
The last thing he wanted was a couple of stressed out Pokemon trying to breed. That wouldn't be good for either of them or the eggs they were trying to produce. With an excited bark Oliver sniffed at the other Pokemon. At least neither of them were trying to punch each other, that was always a plus. Now if only all of his breeding pairs could get along this well. Sure it was probably his fault for having Riya breed with one of the newer Pokemon but he was just so excited...
In the end though they'd managed to produce two eggs and that was good enough for him. More than good enough in fact! It was excellent. Petting the excited puppy on the head he let both Oliver and Ginger into the cozy breeding room. It was nice and clean and hopefully the egg nest wouldn't be empty once the door was opened again. Closing it behind him he waited anxiously to see what sort of boons he would be given this time.

BREEDING #3 & 4:
This week he was attempting something different. He was going to attempt to breed two pairs at once so that he could get both of them done in an efficient amount of time. Luckily enough both of the Pokemon were the same type, it was just a matter of hunting them down and getting them to actually do the do. "Come on guys... You know the deal. Shuffle into the room and have some babies." It was easy enough to get the wurmple pair into the room, all it took were a couple of berries in the room and a little bit of explanation on what they were supposed to do. They hadn't really taken to belonging to Henri yet though so it hadn't gone too smoothly, the bite marks on his hand statement to the fact that he needed to spend a little more time with them.
It was just so hard to get them to cooperate with the others. Hopefully after they got a bit more settled in it wouldn't be such a big deal. He wanted all of his Pokemon to get along and he was willing to do whatever it took to make that happen. While Alyx was more than happy to go into the breeding room that Henri had fixed up for the pair he had to physically pick up and carry Alyc into it. It wasn't that he didn't want to breed or anything, he'd just fallen asleep walking over there. It made him wonder if they were actually going to be able to produce any eggs at this rate. "Alright Alyc, wake up. You've got work to do." With a gentle nudge he heard a startled snorting sound as the male woke up in the breeding room, not completely sure how he'd managed to walk their in his sleep.
"Don't let him fall asleep Alyx..." Closing both of the rooms now that both of the pairs had settled in he hoped that he got some eggs from the both of them. Sure he still had some from his last breeding to sell but keeping a decent stock was always a good idea, right?

He’d been looking around on the market, and several keystrokes later, Damian had finally found what he was looking for: someone was selling some Wurmple eggs on the market! Due to the Aerodactyl very nearly mauling his leg off, he was still in the process of recovery; and couldn’t go out and search for any Pokémon at the present time—struggling to walk around with a limp was definitely much harder than it looked. Once he’d managed to navigate the page and finally found the address of the Breeder who was selling the eggs, he then quickly composed a mail message and sent it to the Breeder who owned the place, and the letter went as this:
“To the owner of Bright Beginnings Breeding:
This is Professor Damian Moreau of the Pokémon League; and I’d be very interested in buying two of the three Wurmple eggs that you have for sale. I know that they’re Bug-types, but they both turn into something that had wings… and that they’re essential to my research since I deal with Flying-types, in general.
I’ll be sending the payment over within the day, so most like by the time you get this, you’ll have more funds to store in your savings account. If it’s not too much to bother, can you please send them over to my lab in Shui? I’ve included the address below…”
Once he was content with what he’d written down for the e-mail message, he then pressed ‘Send’ before hobbling out of the computer terminal and quickly grabbing his phone, before doing a quick funds transfer on his mobile phone to the Breeder he was going to be buying the eggs from.
This was the first sale he'd gotten via e-mail and honestly it would go easier if he didn't have three or four Pokemon looking over his shoulder to see what the fuss was about. He'd fought with the computer when he first installed it and this was actually his first time using it. The other sale he'd made had been a direct customer so this was sort of exciting. It was amazing what sort of things you could do with technology. The order for two of the three wurmple eggs caused him to bounce in the computer chair some. It was all so exciting that he almost forgot to reply back to the buyer.
"Dear Professor Moreau,
I'd be happy to send you two of the eggs that I bred. I never expected a Professor to take notice of the fact that I existed so its really exciting! I know you'll take great care of the Pokemon. Let me know how they turn out okay? If it's not too much trouble. -Henri Ryans"
With that sent he wandered off to ship the eggs safely. After all they had to be packed and sent just right other wise they might be damaged and he didn't want that...

BREEDING #5 & 6:
It was weird borrowing Pokemon from someone he had just met a few days ago to breed with his own but Novel had insisted that he use his Eevee and Inkay to help increase his stock. He was grateful bit wasn't really sure how to handle the entire thing. His Pokemon already knew each other so there was no real need for him to do introductions or watch them carefully. Still, he wasn't going to let that discourage him from doing his job. This was going to be his life's work and he wasn't about to let a little bit of fear cause him to back down from it. "Alright... You guys seem to be getting along well enough..." He had the two aquatic Pokemon in a nice large tank and it seemed like they were getting along. Karpie was swimming around Harold slowly, showing interest in the male.
She had also been a gift from Novel originally whenever he managed to beat Henri in the fishing contest. He'd had to say goodbye to the Magikarp he'd caught himself and the gym leader had apparently felt bad for him. Though he didn't know that she was from him to begin with. Now she had a nice home swimming happily in a large tank that he'd spent a lot of money getting installed. Sure he'd had the small one for Mr. Pinch but with a completely aquatic Pokemon it was better to have a large space so that they wouldn't get cramped and stressed out. Henri was glad to see that it was paying off too. The two Pokemon moved to the secluded part of the tank that was covered specifically for for breeding purposes.
Now he needed to get the other two Pokemon to cooperate with him. Novel had warned him that Max was a bit of a handful and so far Henri could see why he would warn him about it. The eevee was tucked away on a pile of cushions that he'd stolen from the couch and his bed which caused the other Pokemon to be more than a little bit upset. With a sigh he carefully approached the Eevee, not wanting to startle him or anything. "Alright, I know you're enjoying your stay but I need you to do me a favor. How about if you go in the room and breed with my Pokemon I'll give you a nice treat afterwards?"
He had a bunch of poffins and pastries that he'd made the night before, expecting to have to bribe the eevee a couple times in order to get what he needed from him. It seemed as though that caught the normal types attention for a moment and Max looked up at him as if to ask for him to sweeten the deal even further. "I'll give you four sweet poffins and let you use my blanket for your nest too!" He was willing to do whatever it took to get this Pokemon to go into the breeding room. This seemed to appease the normal type as he hopped up from the nest and followed the electric type into the nesting room. With a sigh Henri wrung his hands together and hoped that the two pairs produced at least one egg.
