APPEARANCE
- Wide eyed and gangly he's not really too much to look at, especially since most of the time he can't be bothered to brush his hair down. Leaving it in a wild tangled mess that could easily be solved if he sat still long enough to drag a brush through it. Instead though he occasionally runs his fingers through instead making sure its not time for another uneven hair cut to get a tangle out. He's had a friend or two pull a brush through it whenever they can get him to sit still for it but he complains that it hurts and then wonders why he has so many tangles in the first place. A strong wind could probably pick him up and blow him away if it wanted to. He's not a very large guy and really has no desire to be. He's not a trainer or coordinator so why does he have to bother trying to be physically fit?
PERSONALITY
- Clumsy: Seriously though who thought it was a good idea to let the guy who can't even walk in a straight line without tripping over his feet become a breeder who has to carry around delicate eggs after their laid? Not to mention the fact that his chosen starters are walking pincushions filled with poison.
- Bad Timing: It's already been said that he's clumsy and apparently not just physically either. He trips over his words and says the worst things without thinking. You just tripped and fell in a puddle of mud? Well that's too bad. Here's a comment about how you probably could have avoided the incident all together. He doesn't mean to do it in a bad way though, he's just trying to help. Unfortunately that help seems to be by pointing out the obvious or things that nobody wants to hear.
- Loyal: He's so loyal its stupid. You could probably get away with punching this guy in the face and then next week he'd be taking you out for coffee and asking how your day was. Because obviously you didn't mean to punch him in the face... Right? Because that would be really rude and friends aren't intentionally rude to their friends. Especially not with their fists.
- Friendly: You see that cactus over there? Henri wants to hug that cactus. He doesn't care that its got pointy spikes that will hurt both going in his skin and when he later attempts to pull them out because he was too dumb to realize that hugging a cactus was not a good idea. Make sure you say very clearly and very firmly if you don't like physical contact or someone being friendly to the point of near creepiness because otherwise he's not gonna know.
- Messy: He's pretty sure that he left the remote on his desk... But then again that was a week ago and since then he's been watching the same daytime tv show because he knows that's where he left it. Regardless of the fact that Riya and Roni were playing tag and knocked over a giant pile of papers a few days previous. Never mind the fact that he's piled his supposedly clean laundry on the desk and moved it back and forth from there to his bed for whichever he needs to use at the time being. Also you can ignore the empty coffee cans that litter next to his bed and desk. He's obviously saving them to recycle. Obviously.
- Stubborn: Henri really just doesn't learn from his mistakes. Instead he'll keep doing the same thing over and over again until it either works or he's incapable of repeating the way he had been doing it. It doesn't matter if it hurt the first three times he did it the Cacnea says it wants a hug so he's going to continue giving it hugs until it no longer wants them.
- Imaginative: He's a borderline daydreamer that often gets lost in thought whenever he's left alone for more than five minutes. He thinks up grand scenarios about how great things will be once he's an established breeder or intense situations that could in no way really happen in real life. One of them involved him becoming a mermaid at some point. His parents often thought that this imagination would cause him to become a great coordinator, if he could ever stop tripping over his feet but instead he just uses it to pass the time and think up impossible things.
- To make lots of new friends!
- To work with lots of cute Pokemon!
HISTORY
If Henri ever had to sit down and tell someone about his past they would probably get bored. He didn't really have any sort of tragedy and there's nothing really major he's done to make himself noteworthy. If anything his back story is entirely unremarkable except for the parts that involve his parents. He came from a family full of love and they knew that they needed to raise their son with plenty of it in order to make sure he grew up happy and healthy. They treated him kindly, scolding him whenever he got into trouble and trying to teach him right from wrong. It took him a little bit longer than some of the other kids to grasp the concept of danger and more often than not he ended up with little scrapes and bruises. More so than the other kids that is. It didn't make him any less happier than the others though and he continued on his way to the point of life where other kids decided what they wanted to do.
He was gently discouraged from going into being a trainer though his parents told him that they understood if he wanted to take that route. To be honest they were worried about his safety. He was a clumsy boy and running around with a Pokemon in an attempt to battle probably wouldn't be the safest bet. They were trying to steer him towards working in something less dangerous, like maybe a shop or something. Sure it wouldn't be some glorious lifestyle but someone had to keep things running while everyone else was out battling and doing contests. Henri decided to stay in school at least, thinking about what his parents said about maybe finding employment at a shop or something so that he would have a steady work and eventually be able to afford to live on his own.
He hadn't really thought of anything else to do so he was pretty dead set on going and getting a job application after school one day. There was something of a career day though and it was mandatory that they went to at least one of the presentations. Not really being interested in coordinating and his parents warnings about training sticking he decided to go to sit in on the breeding one. Within minutes he was entranced and all thoughts about going to the pokemart that evening was forgotten and he poured over the brochures and information he'd been given by the demonstrator. His parents were worried but decided that if it was what he wanted to do then it was fine with them.
He spent the rest of his school year learning all he could about breeding and then another year saving up to get everything he needed in order to be absolutely prepared. Henri was excited to get on the way to his new life, now if only he could figure out exactly what he was doing.

It was rare that things ever bothered him. The rain falling from the sky at the moment didn't bother him. Even though occasionally a few of the thick droplets managed to make their way under his umbrella, dotting his shirt and sometimes his pants just slightly darker in color than the rest of the fabric. The slight chill in the air that heralded that there might still be some winter left in the month didn't bother him either. So what was bothering him? If that was even the right word for what he was feeling. It was a foreign, sinking feeling that he knew he'd only felt a couple times before. Mainly because he'd never really had any reason to. Was dread a better word for it?
Reluctance maybe... To leave the comfort of his parent's home to try and make a life for himself somewhere. He was used to this comfortable lifestyle. Enjoyed it and the fact that he didn't have to worry about where his next meal was coming from or if he'd have money to pay the next months rent. Would he even have to worry about rent? These were all things never covered when he went to school and things his parents never thought to teach him either for some unfathomable reason. They should have taught them these things. Hell there were probably a lot of things they should have learned through the years to prepare them for an adult life but it never happened.
Henri sighed and stared up through his umbrella, only able to make out the most basic of shapes through the somewhat transparent material it was made from. He would make it through this. After all a bunch of kids left their family homes to go make something of themselves every year. Whose to say that he couldn't succeed just because he was having a few doubts here and there? He wasn't going to let them get him down. After all, he'd blown everything he had on getting himself somewhat settled with the basics. All he had to do was keep it up and he'd be just fine!
He wasn't about to let this entire thing go to waste just because he was a little worried about the future... If he let that stop him then he'd never get anything done! With a determined nod seen by no one and really only for himself he realized that there was nothing he couldn't do! Feeling better he felt himself relax and move forward again. If he didn't keep moving forward then he'd be stuck behind the counter at a Pokemart where his parents wanted to be at to begin with. He had a dream now and it he was so closed to being on the way. So close.
