Who knew that the two were going to get into even more trouble, the moment that the water had gushed out from the place where Josh had picked up the rock and made a break for it?! “RUN!” she screeched; he definitely didn’t need telling twice! She then quickly picked up the pace and scrambled to keep up with him; but due to him being much taller (and having longer legs) he soon took the lead, leaving her behind to deal with the crashing waves of water that were seriously now lapping at her feet!
“Josh, wait a second, you’re going too—EYAAAAAGH!” she screeched, unwittingly hitting something and suddenly feeling her center of gravity shift; falling face-forward and hitting the floor; the water then began to dangerously lap around her!
“Ugh, damn it,” she hissed, attempting to pull herself up and trying to take a few steps—before unceremoniously crashing down again. “Ow, kamisama no haa, I think I broke something,” she whimpered, trying to valiantly pull herself along—but the incoming rush of water was too much and she was beginning to get swept away. “JOSH! You jackass, get back here and help—“ she trailed off as the water level began to rise above her and she could barely keep up with the crazy individual who’d most likely run on far ahead and not realized that he’d left behind his companion!

Josh at first didn't know what had happened. He recalled Izumi screaming to run, and then he had bolted as hard as his legs could carry him once the water had come rushing in. He had assumed Izumi had followed him. Unfortunately, when he looked back, he realized that the raven haired Trainer wasn't with him anymore. Actually, looking back, it seemed she had tripped. "Damnit Izumi!" Josh would let out before making his way back. He wasn't exactly planning on leaving her to drown. No way, no how. He would make his way back to her, and grabbing her hand without another word, pulling Izumi to her feet. "Come on!" He would call to her as he would loop his fingers with hers and take off, trying to pull Izumi with him.
The water was a bit too dangerously close for comfort. He knew they would have to bolt, and bolt fast. He just hoped that Izumi could keep up!
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC CROWN! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Why did their luck have to turn sour at the worst possible moment? She was about to let out another screech of horror before she suddenly noticed that the blonde who’d already ran on so far ahead had looked back and made a dash right back towards the danger—to where she was now struggling to get up! “Shit, I really hate it when we trigger stuff without meaning to!” she growled, quickly grabbing his hand and vainly trying to keep up with him—but her left leg was refusing to cooperate with the rest of her body.
“Ah, crap. Josh! I hope you don’t mind!” she shouted over the roaring of the water; before forcing herself free from his grip, letting him run ahead somewhat; and leaping through the air, before landing rather…hard on his back, much like a monkey would after trying to chase after some bananas that were hanging up in a far away tree!
The roaring of the water was still there; if not worse—the tide was now starting to lap around Josh’s feet; and she was scrambling to keep herself hoisted up on his back. “Sorry if I had to jump! Just keep running! I think I sprained something. Hopefully not broken though,” she groaned; catching sight of something that was now sailing past them, carried by the current—it was a crown of some sort; and she could only sigh.
And the crazy things start appearing again… we need to duck down somewhere and fast! She mused to herself, before looking behind her and seeing that the crashing cascade of water was still following them! “Look for a room we can duck into! Hopefully the water doesn’t follow us into it!” she shouted, tightening her grip around his shoulders and just basically hanging on for dear life!

Damnit, Izumi had somehow managed to sprain her ankle. By the time Josh realized, the water had gotten to their ankles, and Izumi had attempted to climb onto his back. Since he wasn't expecting it, she would end up falling into the water on her rear end. The blonde would sigh, picking her up bridal style. "Next time, warn me will ya?" He would request as he would break off at a run. Luckily, lifting heavy objects (Ala Izumi) was nothing new to Josh. Of course, what he wasn't used to was lifting heavy objects while trying not to drown. But he tried, breaking off at a run through the flooding hallways as fast as he his legs could possibly carry him.
Finally, he would take a right on a hallway to buy some time, and with luck happened to find a platform that led to higher ground. Once he climbed up there, the water would pass below them, and Josh would put Izumi down as he watched the water flow below.
"You alright, Zu?" Josh would remark toward Izumi.

Izumi could only shriek as her initial ‘toss’ towards the target had missed, causing her to land rather hard on her rump in the quickly-deepening water; and she was just about ready to let loose with some rather colorful profanities when her target of latching (a.k.a. Josh) turned around and quickly scooped her up, carrying her bridal-style as he continued to run away from the rush of water as fast as he could manage! It was at this point she felt her ears suddenly turning a deep shade of red; but the close proximity allowed her to simply lose herself—at least temporarily—in his arms. That continued until the six-foot two individual had finally found ‘higher ground’ and let her down from his grasp.
She was a little surprised to see the ride come to a premature end—but for now, they’d found the ‘higher ground’ and were safe from the rushing water below. “Thankfully… I am,” she began, quickly turning away in order to hide the fact that she was now blushing to all hell; what if he saw her pink face and started to tease her to no end about it?! The moment she’d turned away, her line of vision caught something not too far from where they now stood; and as cautiously as her leg could allow, she inched her way towards it; coming to a stop before she finally recognized what it was. “Oh… this thing? Hey, J, you have a Kabuto, right?” she asked, still examining the weird rock-like Fossil that had indentations that looked like the things that she’d read about from Professor Symphonia’s research material.

Good, Izumi was alright. That sense of danger had suddenly heightened the blonde's instincts in a fashion that Izumi likely wouldn't recognize. How quickly he had scooped her up, and how fast he had run and climbed to higher ground was a testament to something... But to what? Of course, Izumi would find out in time, perhaps sooner than she thought...
"Good, good" He said, wiping the sweat from his brow as he would put her down and give them both a moment to rest before continuing their expedition. Izumi would hold up something she had found and Josh would examine it curiously as he would look it over, nodding a bit to her question. "Mmm, I own a Kabuto. Cute little critter" He remarked. "Hm?" He would add as he noticed something in the water. Stretching down, he would manage to pull out the rock, examining it. "Hmm... Interesting" He remarked, then nodded a bit and put it away. He would visit Denise later, he decided. "When you're ready to go, just let me know" He said.

Wondering if her luck for the end of the month had run dry, Izumi then continued to look around—but not before picking up the smell of something rather…rancid.“Ugh, what’s that?!” she began, crinkling her nose up in disgust, before looking around as swiftly as her field of vision would allow. It didn’t take too long before her eyes had caught sight of something…rather disgusting, and she felt her stomach turn over at the source of the odor.
“Oh, hell no. don’t tell me our little trap triggered another kind of deluge…” she muttered, kicking a rotting apple core with her right foot and watching as it drew an arc through the air, before landing with a splash on the raging current beneath them.
“Eww… no thanks, that’s too much for me to take,” she muttered, continuing to poke around the room that they’d stumbled into; hoping that there was still something feasible that she could walk home with! Now I’m starting to regret not picking up one of those fossils from earlier… she thought with a rather dark look on her face. She then dragged her left leg as best as she could without toppling over—because who knew that the way she’d fallen would’ve caused it to hurt this much?!
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found GLASSES! Looks like another digger lost their glasses in the dig. Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

It didn’t take too long after she’d kicked the rotting apple core out (and heard it splash quietly in the roaring water beneath them) did her sour luck continue… as she continued to scramble around the room, trying to look for something that was of possible worth (or value even) she then felt her right foot land on something with a rather loud crunching noise. “Oh, no…” she groaned, quickly hobbling over to the nearest place where she could sit down—and as she’d walked away as fast as she could mange, she saw another pair of mangled glasses.
Why was her luck suddenly turning ugly? “Oh, shit… don’t tell me I’m going to end up walking away with nothing…” she muttered, finally seeing a place where she could sit down so that she could ignore the throbbing pain her left leg was in right now.
That spill had cost her; now she was hobbling around without a staff or something she could lean on in order to attempt to walk off the pain that was coursing through her left leg. She was definitely sure something had been twisted out of place, but she had yet to determine if something had broken altogether! “Gah, damn it. Just… just give me a few more moments to look around. I hope this little delay isn’t going to make me go mad and flip something over…” she muttered, frantically looking around, trying to pick out a glimmer, a glint of something!
