"Yeah, I did. And what if I did?" He would tease, bopping her on the nose playfully. "Maybe I just wanted to see how well Scotty could push himself?" He would ask with a smirk as he would pat his Eevee on the head before offering Scotty another sip of water, which the Eevee would gratefully take. "Never said it was a competition~" He would tease, sticking his tongue out at her. He would look over to see Lightning using the tire swing that was meant for obstacle courses as.. Well, a swing. Josh would look down at his Pokeballs and realize the little Electric Mouse had let himself out at some point before the race had started. Likely couldn't resist the little playground he felt he had found. Josh laughed a bit, but shrugged it off. Oh well, at least he was having fun.
Josh would smirk over at Izumi. "Crazy am I? Lady, if you're not careful, I'll tickle you to death like a crazy person" He would tease. As for her suggestion about the dummies... He would nod. "Alright" He said as he would get up, taking a sip of the water himself before letting Scotty drink the rest of it down. He would motion him over to the dummies while Josh went to go refill the water.

“Ouch, hey, watch the nose,” she began, flailing in an attempt to swat his hand away from the little playful bopping that he’d delivered in response to her earlier retort. “Well, the way you shouted ‘Go’ earlier was literally screaming, ‘Come and get me’ or something like that,” she continued, attempting to lightly retaliate with a conk on his head in exchange for the somewhat-noogie that she’d received.
Now that her Eevee had curled up and had recovered his breath, she then proceeded to wiggle away from him and then poured some more water into her hands; before offering it to the little brown fox to drink. This, the Eevee took to gladly; she chuckled as she felt the light tickling sensation that her Pokémon’s tongue was causing on her hand while the little fox-like creature drank his fill of water.
Now that they were both sufficiently hydrated, she then turned to the nearest training dummy that she spotted, before pointing at it. “Alright, Yuki… can you try to smack that with your Quick Attack? Treat it like it’s an incoming wild Pokémon that you have to tackle,” she began, before padding over to where the dummy was waiting. It looked really scuffed up; she could only guess as to how many previous users had tackled this particular dummy before she’d finally arrived.
“Okay, hit it with your best shot, go, Yuki!” she crowed, cheering and pumping a fist in mid-air before stealing a glance at the Eevee. She noticed that Yuki had crouched down—before suddenly propelling himself forward with such speed; and then ramming his entire body into the training dummy; hearing a smacking sound as the Eevee had collided with it. She then noticed that most of, if not all, of the training dummies had been padded with what she could guess to be foam; at least the impact didn’t hurt so much.
“Alright, that’s a good one. Try it again!” she continued, watching as the Eevee skidded backwards, before staring—more like glaring—at the training dummy; and the little brown fox zipped forward, ramming himself into the dummy once again.

Josh chuckled as he would boop her nose again, despite her flailing. "Boop~" He would tease with a cheeky grin, obviously getting a kick out of tormenting Izumi. "Nah" He said in response, booping her nose again playfully. Now that she'd complained about it, it only gave more incentive to boop her nose even more. "Boop" He would add before responding again. "I said Go to Scotty, not you, Zuzu" He would tease, running his fingers through the fur on the top of his Eevee's head. "It was a signal to run, for him I mean. We let you guys go at your own pace... Even if your pace was a little bit too slow" He would then tease, sticking his tongue out at her, and Scotty would turn and stick his tongue out at Izumi as well! Even Scotty thought Izumi was too slow! You know you're slow when you get burned by the Eevee!
"Alright Scotty, for you... I think you could use a good demonstration" Josh said with a smirk as they would walk toward the dummies. Josh would point toward the dummy that Izumi wasn't attacking... "LIGHTNING, USE QUICK ATTACK!" Josh would call, with the Pikachu perking up his ears from the tire swing. Just like that, the Pikachu would glow for a moment before zipping off at "lightning" quick speed, zipping past Izumi and her Eevee, as well as Josh and Scotty, like a blur before slamming into the dummy and nearly knocking it over. "Again, Lightning!" Josh called as the Pikachu would turn as soon as he would land and leap at the dummy, striking it again. "Twice more!" Josh called to Lightning, who wouldn't even give a chance of letting up, as everytime he landed he would quickly turn and slam into the dummy again with Lightning quick speed.
"Alright, good! Thanks Lightning" Josh said with a smile as he would scratch the fur on the little Electric Mouse's head. "Chaaa~" Lightning coo'd before Josh would take out a Pokesnack and toss one Lightning's way, his way of rewarding him. The Pikachu would happily nom on the snack as he would step back to watch the Eevee try it next. Josh smirked over at Izumi. "Lightning's been in the Pikachu stage a lot longer then a Trainer would normally have a Pikachu be in that stage. For that, his speed attacks just get better and better, he's had more time to refine his speed. His Quick Attack makes me proud" He said with a cheeky grin before looking down at Scotty. "Ready?" He would ask the Eevee, who would nod. "Uuuuueeeeeee!" He would coo excitedly, the little furry tail wagging back and fourth in anticipation as he crouched down, preparing to pounce.
"Scotty, use Quick Attack!" Josh would call toward the Eevee. "Eev!" Scotty would let out as he would glow for a moment before taking off, throwing himself at the dummy and bouncing back, landing on his butt. "Eev...." Scotty would whine. "Don't worry about it, Scotty! Try again!" Josh called. The Eevee was determined and would nod, quickly getting up and glowing again, going for another Quick Attack. It hit it's mark, and this time, he landed on his feet. "Good! Again!" Josh called as the Eevee would quickly launch himself up again, striking it hard. "Again!" Josh called the moment Scotty hit his feet, before the Eevee turned around and leaped up again, still having that glow from the beginning of Quick Attack. "Go, again!" Josh called as soon as the Eevee hit his feet. Scotty would turn quicker this time, his next leap and attack more fluid and hard hitting. "Alright, finish it off with a Take Down!" Josh would call as the Eevee would turn around. "Eevee-Eevee-EEEV!" Scotty would call out as he would use the momentum attained from the Quick Attacks to go for a hard hitting Take Down, knocking the dummy over!
"Alright!" Josh cheered, as Scotty would leap into his arms. Josh laughed a bit as he would scratch the fur on his head. "You did it Scotty!" He encouraged. "Pi-Pi-Kachu!" Lightning would cheer in celebration. "Uuuuuuueeeeeeee!" Scotty would coo cutely, obviously proud of himself.

She then cracked a grin, before sticking out a tongue in Josh’s direction—who was now coaching his Eevee at the other training dummy that he’d claimed for his own usage for the duration of the practice exercise. Now that she felt another ‘thud’ hitting the thing, she then looked down and saw that Yuki was panting. “What’s the matter, little one?” she began, crouching down and reaching for the half-empty bottle of water she’d stashed back in her pocket. “Are you okay?” she continued in a gentler manner, hoping that the Eevee would look up. “Vee, eevee. Vee~” she heard the little brown fox coo; and even if it wasn’t obvious, the little thing was looking kind of thirsty. “Need something to drink? Or do you need to rest?” she asked his way; and waited for the response.
Izumi then thought of showing the water bottle, and after reaching behind her and showing it to the Eevee, she then watched as he vigorously nodded. “Ohh, I get it. Give me a few moments,” she continued, before opening the bottle with her left hand; before transferring the cap to her mouth where she bit down on it. After pouring some water into her cupped hand, she then watched the Eevee scuttle over and quickly lapped up the offered water; who knew he’d been exerting himself a lot?!
In next to no time, the water was gone, and she quickly poured another serving, to which the Eevee attacked with much glee. Just to be on the safe side, she poured several more servings; and once the little brown fox had stopped drinking, she then knew that he was satisfied. “Alright, let’s try that again…” she called out, watching as the Eevee then backed away in order to face the training dummy once again.
“Let’s work on your Dig technique, okay?” she chirped out; and the little fox nodded. “Alright, Dig down; but don’t go too deep! Can you try to come here from where you are right now just by using Dig? I hope you can still hear the sound of my voice even while you’re underground,” she added, watching as the Pokémon quickly began batting at the ground, tossing up dirt here and there. Sooner or later, the Eevee was now underground—the ground where he was currently traversing, digging his way forward. She could tell that the ground was being distorted due to there being a visible trail; before the little brown fox emerged again and literally threw all his weight into the training dummy once he’d come out of the ground.
“Excellent, that’s a nice landing of your technique,” she continued, looking at the visible trail. “You want to work on Dig again? Let’s try digging a bit deeper now. If you can’t hear my voice, shift upwards until you can pick up the sound of my voice, okay?”
“Ee! Eevee!” Yuki chirped in reply; before scrambling back towards the place where he’d come from; and this time re-entering the ground from another spot; still headed the same way where he’d surfaced in order to hit the training dummy.

Josh would decide to let Scotty rest for the day. He'd done well, surprisingly, and Josh knew that overworking him would just lead to burnout. So instead, they would go get more water before three of them (Lightning included) would sit on a bench and watch Izumi train, since she hadn't burnt herself and her Eevee out on sprints and attacking. "Good job, Izumi" Josh would comment with a smirk and a set of clapping, clapping the Pikachu would adorably attempt to mimic, as they would work on that particular drill. "I think we're done for the day, Zu. Whenever you and your Eevee think you're ready, we'll pack up and head home" He would suggest, taking a sip of the water bottle and offering it to the Eevee.
Josh was satisfied with his work so far. Of course, they would be back to the training center soon, he knew. Possibly with different Pokemon.

Now that her Eevee was getting used to the notion of digging through the ground without getting disoriented by missing the sound of her voice, Izumi had noticed that Josh and his own Eevee were knocking off for the rest of the day. She could only guess as to why he’d chosen to raise the ‘quit’ flag a bit earlier; but then again—they’d been at it for most of the morning and early afternoon!
After getting a few more Digging sessions down and done, she then finally whistled and called her own Eevee over; before finally giving him the rest of the water in the water bottle that she’d carted around for most of the day. Seeing that he’d already decided to sit down and catch his breath, she then proceeded to join him over at where he was located.
“Heh, thanks for the cheer, man. So what do you think? Good idea to bring some of our younger ‘mons here in the future and train them all?” she began, sitting down and reaching for another bottle of water that he’d brought along; before guzzling most of the contents and setting it down half-empty. “Yuki’s come quite a bit… he had to tackle an Archen all by his lonesome… well, mostly, but only because Momiji helped out,” she added with a snicker, before turning around to face him again. “I agree, today was a day well-spent. Shall we schedule a return trip back here in a few days?” she remarked, before nodding and whistling.
“Come on guys, let’s get out of here! We still have to eat!” she shouted, before watching her Eevee trot over; looking exhausted but very pleased.
