After hearing word from a certain ash-colored little bird that there was an actual training facility in the city that he called home, Izumi decided to check it out for herself. Now, normally, she didn’t pay too much attention to the places outside Shui and the Wilds (then again most of her businesses were tied to just those two locations) but she couldn’t resist the urge to check out the gym that he’d referred to her. Upon arriving at the premises, she was not surprised to see how…vast it was. Well, not vast, more like the tallness of the place. It was four floors high; and there was word of more expansive training grounds out back.
She then reached in to her pocket and fished out a mobile phone, before dialing a certain number and waiting for the L’Oreal blonde-head to answer. Come on, man, this was your idea, why aren’t you here yet? I got here waaaaay ahead of you! She thought to herself as she listened to the ringing on the other end of the line. Was he on the insane motorcycle, perhaps? Who knew? She then began to pace outside, watching the crowd walking by, trying to pick out the sight of the six-foot tall travelling companion who always journeyed with her.

Izumi had been talking to him about some kind of training facility for quite awhile now, but hadn't really shown him it until now. He had taken a phone call from Izumi this morning to go and check out this place, which by the way, was HER IDEA to begin with, not his. As Josh was on his way to the facility, he would stop the motorcycle to take a call, on the side of the road.
He rolled his eyes when Izumi bitched him out. "Zuzu, this was your idea" He remarked. "And I'll be right there. Just give me a few minutes" He said before hanging up and getting on the motorcycle. Josh's partner, his Pikachu, Lightning, snickered from the little side seat as Josh would turn the bike back on and keep going. Eventually, they would arrive at the facility. He would park the bike and throw off his helmet, trying to fix his hair before helping Lightning out of his seat and locating Izumi.

Izumi could only guess as to where Josh was—since upon hearing him answer the call she could hear the bustling and hustling of what she guessed was a road in the background noise. She then snorted as he picked up and explained where the hell he was, before the line went dead with a click… and, was it just her imagination or did she hear the Pikachu sniggering during the call? In any case she then continued to wait for him, pacing in the Fitness Center’s parking lot until he pulled up in the “ride from hell” (as this is what she called the motorcycle in the back of her head) some ten minutes later.
She tried to resist the urge to snicker in his direction—mainly because the moment the helmet went off, she then heard a cue going, ‘Because you’re worth it~’ chime in her mind. Unable to resist the urge, she then burst out into actual giggles for a few seconds; before covering her mouth with a free hand, because yes, the long-haired Joshua was at it again, looking like he’d come out of a shampoo commercial. Controlling the sniggering as much as possible while he fixed his hair and then tossed the question at her, she then held out her hands in a grand gesture.
“This, apparently, is the answer to some of our problems. Why the ash-colored little bird didn’t tell me sooner I will never know, but here it is… the Fitness Center. It’s also a workout gym for humans and ‘mons to train; I’ve yet to snoop a look at the upper floors, but there’s a training grounds out back for the younger ‘mons who can’t handle rigorous exercise yet. And that brings me to our little trip today—I know you have an Eevee. Did you bring ‘im?” she said, flourishing where necessary before finally folding her arms and looking at him. “Because this is the perfect place for them to get some actual training in. you know… like, running the obstacle course out back, practicing their moves on dummy targets… something along those lines,” she continued with a devious grin on her face.
“Beats having to fight everything in the wilderness all the time,” she ended with this triumphant gleam in her eye.

Josh could hear Izumi's giggling as he had come over, and the blonde rolled his eyes. Of course he was just WAITING for Izumi to make a Lo'real or a Thor'eal joke, but since she didn't, he assumed that she had already made tons of them in her head so that he didn't lay the smackdown on her rear. Not to disappoint, Josh would reach down subtlety and lay down a pinch upon Izumi's rear, just teasing her once again. Lo'real huh? Hope it was worth it, Izumi. He would listen, then, as Izumi would label this the answer to their problems. While he wasn't so sure about that, Josh would just nod along. I guess we will just have to find out, right?
"Yeah, I brought my Eevee" Josh said, showing her the Pokeball for Scotty, his Eevee, and Jolteon to-be. "Whenever you get the chance, perhaps you could help me breed a few more? I'm looking to nab more Eeveelutions in the future, like you are" He explained with a small smile. "Anyway, what're we waiting for? Let's get in there!"

“We’ll see about getting a few more. I know that the ash-colored bird is going crazy because the ban on certain species has just been lifted—and that there’s a Gible egg waiting for you over at the main, not the branch of his breeding grounds,” she added with a pointed grin on his face. She then nodded after seeing the containment unit for his Eevee; and then showed him hers in exchange. “My little Glaceon-to-be, Yukime, would love to have a little training match with you,” she continued on, as she led the way to the interior of the Fitness Center. Upon opening the door they were greeted with the sounds of people working out—were the floors that thin?
“Good morning, and welcome to the Youthful Energy! Gym and Fitness Center,” the brown-haired, bun-tailed girl at the receptionist began, before looking at the two. “Gym or Training Grounds?” she followed up a few seconds later, to which Izumi answered, “Ah, we’re here for the Training Grounds,” with a genial grin on her face, while taking a look around at the environs. It had been painted in nice, bold colors; they were certainly appealing to say the least. “Just follow the corridor down there out back,” the receptionist continued, pointing down to another hallway that was off a set of stairs on the right side behind her.
“Great, thanks,” she commented, and with a friendly wave, motioned for Josh to follow her down the corridor that the receptionist had indicated; which for some reason was filled with steam coming from somewhere. It was at that point she realized that they were passing by a bathing section; and she then made it a point to not look until they’d arrived at the back door; which she then heaved open. It then revealed that there was a lot of space behind the building; it had an obstacle course, complete with safety nets; as well as practice dummies for targeting.
“Oohh, perfect,” she said, rubbing her hands together as she walked out and took in the full scenery.

The blonde smirked faintly at the mention of Kouji getting excited over the ban on Deino and Gible being lifted. Of course he would be, and he'd managed to get quite the Gible haul thanks to Josh lending him Garcraft, on the condition that one of the eggs went to him to raise. "Yeah, I'll grab the Gible egg when I can" He said, chuckling a bit. Sounds like it hadn't taken Kouji long. Just another notch on his belt, it seemed. Since Garcraft was less of a battler, more a player, this new Gible would likely be better suited for battle as well. Which is good, he'd always wanted a Garchomp....
Josh smirked toward her offer and would nod. "I'm sure Scotty would love a training session. We'll do that later" He said as they walked in. As they were greeted by a receptionist, Josh would let Izumi do the talking here, seeing as this was her idea. Before long, they were shown down a corridor and to another room out back, down the stairs. Josh would nod and just follow Izumi down, with Lightning following close behind. Josh could feel the steam, and noted the bathing section. Good for a break later. He was sure that Izumi would love it as well. A bit too much, if you asked him.
They would come to a room with everything you could ask for in a training facility, and Josh smirked faintly as he walked around with Lightning, taking in the scenery. He would take out Scotty's Pokeball..

After checking that her companion had followed her out to the back, she then made headway towards the free space where the training dummies stood, before shaking her head from side to side. “Alright, come on out, li’l one,” she continued, popping out a certain containment unit and expanding it to full size, before tossing it sky-high. She then caught the empty containment unit as the flash of red light erupted from the depths and formed itself into her soon-to-be-Glaceon. “Vee?” she heard the little brown fox inquire, looking around curiously—before quickly making a beeline for her and then rubbing himself up her leg.
“Hey, hey there,” she began with a chuckle, crouching down before coming face-to-face with the little thing and giving him a chin tickle, to which the Eevee responded with delight, “…we’re here to get some practice done,” she continued, before gesturing around her and finally setting her sights on Josh’s containment unit. “Send ‘im out, then let’s get started with the exercises,” she continued, urging him to get on with the program before turning her attention back to her own Eevee. “Alright, Yuki, look over there. You see that obstacle course? We’re going to run that later, for now we need to get you warmed up,” she remarked, and the Eevee looked at her curiously; not exactly understanding what she meant
“Look, Yuki, I know you want to get strong and all that, but everything’s not just battles in the wild. We need to get your stamina built up too… that and get you used to the climate because I know you got plans as much as I do,” she ended with a grin, finally reaching behind the Eevee’s ears and giving them a tickle. “Akari’s waiting for someone to join her in the legions… I know you’re next. Everyone else will eventually follow,” she ended with this mysterious grin on her face as she then began to visualize the plan in her mind’s eye with all of her current Eevees all fully evolved…

Josh would nod before allowing the Pokeball to grow to full size, spinning it on his finger a bit before throwing it up into the air and watching as his own Eevee would pop out, catching the Pokeball in mid-air with his teeth before landing in his Trainer's arms. The Eevee would nuzzle his Trainer before handing him the Pokeball. Josh laughed a bit and scratched the fur on his head. "Hey there, Scotty" He said. "Eevee!" Scotty chirped before looking around the area. "Yep! Today, Scotty, we're going to get you some training!" He said. "Now, this is going to be a little bit different, obviously" Josh said, looking over at Izumi as she spoke... Something about her big Eevee master plan. Rolling his eyes with a smirk, he turned his attention back to Scotty.
"We're going to get you warmed up first, get you in tip top shape, and then you're going to try the obstacle course. Gonna do all we can to get you ready to evolve" He said, patting his head. "Eeee!" Scotty chirped, seeming to like the sound of evolving!

“Alright, now that we got that settled, let’s…get…started!” she began, raising her arms before hearing her own Eevee chirp out loud, wagging his brush-like tail at the prospect of getting some exercise in. “First thing we got to do… sprints. Yes, we have to practice your movement,” she continued as she looked at her Eevee squarely in the eyes, “…because it’ll help you get around much quicker. Okay, follow me,” she trailed off, crouching for a bit before breaking out into her best running pace, eventually skidding to a stop near one of the weird target dummies. “Alright, Yuki! Come on over and follow me!” she shouted form the opposite side of the grounds; and the Eevee looked at the distance he had to cover. Surely, for the human it was an easy task, but for someone of his size?
The Eevee then tapped his feet on the ground, crouching down just like what she did—and before long, had broken out into a ash; not quite as fast as his Trainer’s, but it was still a respectable dash all the same. Over at where Izumi was waiting, she then began to call out, “Come on, Yuki! You can do it! Don’t give up!” while pumping her fist in the air; trying to encourage the Eevee to give it his all. The brown-furred, fox-like creature then looked up to see that his Trainer was calling out to him; and came to a skidding halt—before attempting to comprehend what she was saying. Seeing that the Eevee had stopped, she then continued, “Come on, Yuki! I know you can do it!This is for you! Let’s make it count!” in an encouraging tone; before finally compounding on an encouraging smile on her face.
At that sight, the Eevee then picked up the pace again—finally skidding to a stop in front of her, huffing and heaving. “I know it’s a bit sudden… but you did a great job out there. Now, I’m going to run all the way out there to where you came from, and just follow me there. Keep up the speed, okay?” she continued, before giving the Eevee another ear tickle and then making a break from where she stood by one of the training dummies and then dashed across the grounds again, back to where she was standing earlier. As she arrived, she then gave a loud whistle, before speaking up once more, “Come on, Yuki! Let’s get started!”
The Eevee then chirped once more; before hunching down; and then breaking out into another dash, headed right to where Izumi stood…

Josh would hear Izumi call for them to get started. The blonde chuckled faintly, it seemed that it was time to begin. Hopefully his Eevee would be up for the challenge, Josh thought to himself. Izumi brought up the prospect of sprints. Easy enough, for him anyway. Josh would look from Izumi, to his own Eevee. "Alright Scotty, I think we can get in some sprints as well" He said. "What do you say?" He would ask the Eevee, giving a warm smile to encourage it. The brush-like tail of his Eevee would wag in response. "Ee!" Scotty would let out in response, seeming to enjoy the thought of exercise. This particular Eevee was a bit of an energetic little one, running around made it happy! Josh would draw up a good sprinting distance, before breaking off at a run. The blonde haired Trainer was, of course, used to running, due to the exercises he did regularly and the training he had done to himself on the mountains before. For his Eevee... Well, he doubted Scotty would be able to clear it in as quick a time, but he also doubted that Scotty would let a challenge be left lying down!
Josh would come to a stop at the pinpointed stop point, and look back at Scotty, who was watching carefully with his tail wagging. "You see, we have to work on your movement, your speed, as well as your stamina. If you can last in a battle even while running, then you'll have more energy to spend attacking" He explained to the Eevee. "As for your speed... Well, the faster you are, the quicker you can hit opponents and the easier time you'll have dodging attacks. And for movement? Well, similar. The better your movements are, the easier it will be to dodge attacks at just the right time. Get those down, and I'm sure you'll be a great battler in time" He encouraged with a smile. "Now, don't be scared of the distance you gotta cover. You'll do fine, I believe in you! Run over here, best you can, and then follow me!" Josh called toward his Eevee.
"Ee!" Scotty would let out, not seeming too intimidated by the distance. Running was something he loved doing, so this exercise was great for the little guy. The Eevee would break out into a run, maybe not as fast as his Trainer, or as fast as Miss Stinkynator, but he was trying! The little lightning bolt that could ran as fast as his little paws could carry him, running toward his Trainer with vigor, with determination. "Come on, Scotty!" Josh would call, encouraging the little Eevee. "You can do it! Don't sweat it!" He would call out. While the Eevee had spent time training like the others had, he was still just a little one. He'd hatched maybe a month ago, and still had a ways to go. But Josh could see him pushing himself, pushing himself hard to earn the admiration of his Trainer! He could see the determination in his Eevee's eyes. The love in those eyes, the determination, the want for attention and affection, the whim to impress, the will to succeed! It was all in the eyes, and Josh knew that Scotty would go on to do great things.
Josh eyed Izumi's progress a little while calling out to his Eevee. She had been calling encouragement to her Eevee, only for the little one to suddenly stop, as if confused by Izumi's words. Luckily, this wasn't the first time Josh had done a drill like this, and the Eevee had done some watching before. It was something Josh tended to do with his younger Pokemon, before they were ready for training. Sitting down and watching the drills he went through with his own Pokemon in order for them to learn the movements, learn the basics, and know what to expect when it came to their turn. Scotty was no exception, and he seemed to be doing well thanks to it.
Finally, as the end came in sight, the Eevee would make one more mad dash, pushing himself hard as he could toward his Trainer. And when he reached him, Josh held out his arms to congratulate them, and Scotty would leap into them! Of course, he would accidentally knock Josh down from the momentum of the jump, while he was still holding Scotty in his arms. The blonde laughed a bit, scratching the fur on his head. "Hey, you did great!" Josh congratulated, scratching his head, behind his ears and his chin. "Wuuueeeeeee~" The Eevee let out in response to the affection. It was well earned, and it felt even better knowing that he'd worked for, earned and deserved it! Josh would pull out a spare water bottle he'd brought for the Eevee. "Say ahhh~" Josh said as the Eevee would open his mouth, and Josh poured a bit of water from the bottle into the Eevee's mouth, letting him lap it up to keep his energy up. There was no point in allowing the Eevee to become dehydrated, after all.
"Now, this time, we're going to do something different" Josh said as he would look at Izumi, then to Scotty as he put the bottle of water away. "This time, I'm going to run, but you're going to follow along with me. I want you to try and keep up with me and keep a good pace. Alright?" Josh would say. "Eevee!" Scotty chirped in response, seeming eager to continue. "Alright!" Josh said as he would go for a crouch, the Eevee, amusingly, mimicking the movements. "Annnd... Go!" Josh would call to Scotty as he would break out into a run. This time, Scotty would run after him, trying his best to keep up with his Trainer! While Josh was better conditioned then Scotty, he knew that Scotty's determination, Scotty's heart, and his will to succeed would come through in this instance. He had faith in Scotty!

The Eevee was now in the middle of scampering across the grounds—when he caught sight of the other Eevee and the blonde-haired guy running around together. Seeing the little sight then bolstered him, and he picked up the pace—before looking over to where his Trainer was now crouched down, holding her arms out and shouting encouraging things from that little voice box of hers. “Come on, Yuki! Let’s go!We can do this!” she continued, waiting for the little brown fox to arrive and jump into her arms. Several minutes later, her Eevee finally made a leap and flew right into her hold, whereupon she then scooped him up and tickled his head with her fingers.
“Nicely done, Yuki. Next we’re going to do… we’ll be imitating what they’re doing,” she commented, before gesturing to Josh and where his own Eevee were seemingly jogging together. She then let the little brown fox leap out form her arms, before standing tall, waiting for her to move. “Alright, alright, give me a few to stretch,” she continued with a chuckle, as Izumi then began stamping on the ground a few times, before bending down her knees and stretching out her legs. After making sure that her legs weren’t going to seize up on her just because she’d suddenly taken a sprint without warning, she then gestured for her own Eevee to come over—and the little brown fox did so, almost jumping as he approached. “Let’s go,” she said once more, before breaking out into a steady jog—choosing to go in the opposite direction in which Josh had gone.
Since the place was wide enough for the two, she knew that they were eventually going to meet at some point—and she looked over to the Eevee, hoping that he was following. Seeing that he’d been left behind, the Eevee then picked up the pace, breaking out into something that resembled a trot, eager to keep up with his owner.

Josh would shoot Izumi a wink and a grin as they would run nearby, noticing that her Eevee had noticed them and had begun speeding up, seeming motivated by the sight of Josh and Scotty sprinting together. But that didn't stop them! They were feeling good, their hearts were pumping, and best of all, Josh felt a sort of oneness with Scotty. They were bonding, just like that. Jogging together... Sprinting together... Hell, just spending time together. It was quite the bonding experience. The training was a bonus. But seeing Izumi and her Eevee mimicking them and sprinting together as well lit a fire, at the same time, under both Josh and Scotty. It didn't take long before the blonde and Eevee would lock eyes. A smirk crossed Josh's face, and they would nod, at the same time. And just like that, their speed would kick up, they would break into a full sprint as the two would be hell bent on completing this little sprinting course that Josh had set up in the best time possible!
Through the course they went, not a thought crossing their minds, not even thoughts of being tired, exhausted, out of breath... Just the air in their face, the non-existing wind in their eyes, and of course, speaking of eyes... The fire in their eyes that never seemed to go out. That spark, that fire, that willingness to succeed. It transferred from Trainer to Pokemon and vice versa, and they were on the high road. Nothing could stop them now! They felt invincible, they felt like they could keep on running forever!
Of course, eventually, they would reach the end of the course that Josh had set up, and that was when the aches and pains and tiredness would settle in. The blonde and Scotty would each collapse to the ground against one another, waiting for Izumi and her Eevee to join them on the end of the course when she could. Josh would bring out the water bottle, taking a sip before holding it out to the Eevee to drink from. Ugh, what a party.

Izumi was just taking things easy, testing the waters just so that her Eevee could find his pace—when she saw two blurs shoot by her, kicking up clouds of dust in the process. “Hey,” she began, yowling as the dust clouds grew bigger, the more he picked up speed. “Don’t kick up all the dust, good grief,” she continued, chuckling as she then looked down at her Eevee, who now had some weird sort of look on his face. She then crouched down and gave him another ear tickle. “Don’t mind them, they just want to be competitive,” she crooned, reassuring the Eevee with another hearty ear-scratching and chin-tickling session. “Let’s just get this done at our own pace, okay?” she continued with a chirp in her voice, to which Yuki answered, “Ee! EEVEE!” before hopping around and proceeding to chase his own tail.
She then chuckled at his reaction before picking up the pace and jogging at a steady trot again; before looking over her shoulder to watch her Eevee still trying to bite its tail. “Come on, Yuki, we can get to that later,” she called out, which made the little brown fox look up out of surprise; before sheepishly heading over to where she was, jogging in place and waiting for her to catch up. Now that her Eevee was beside her, the two continued their brisk, leisurely jog until they’d arrived at where Josh and his Eevee were, now sharing a bottle of water between them. “That’s what you get for running too fast,” she cracked with a smirk on her face; before crouching down again and patting her Eevee on the head, a way of telling him that he’d done well for the exercise.
“Good work, Yuki, now, you can take a rest for a bit,” she crooned in the little fox’s direction; before standing up and retrieving a water bottle that she’d stuffed into the back pocket of her jogging pants. Surprise to say that it didn’t fall out, despite all the jogging. “Josh, what is it with you, making every little thing into a competition?” she asked the shampoo commercial model blonde, who was also taking a breather after making a mad dash throughout the course he’d set up for himself and his Eevee.

Josh needed a serious breather, that was obvious. While he hadn't meant to turn it into a competition, as Izumi said, he and Scotty had pushed each other hard and bonded as a result. And that was more then Josh could ever ask for. After the Eevee would take a drink of the water bottle, Mr. "Thor'eal" would take a gulp of the canteen of water himself. When Izumi would catch up to them and start to scold him, he smirked up at her.
"I never called it a competition, Zuzu" Josh would respond with a chuckle, obviously still trying to catch his breath. "I try to push my Pokemon hard during training, just as they push me hard. If they're putting in the training and training hard, they have every right to give me difficulties with their training if need be. It's a good trade off" He would add with a laugh. "We just got a little bit carried away"

Now that they were both trying to catch their breath, she then chuckled at his explanation—but had this to say in exchange, “Oh, really now? You flat-out made a mad dash across the place, and your Eevee was practically trying to keep up with you,” before pouring some water into her free hand, and holding it close so that her own Eevee could take a few sips from it. She then felt the little brown fox’s tongue grazing against her skin as her own Eevee lapped up the water rather thirstily; before letting out another cry of “Vee” before she looked down and saw that the water was gone. “Oh wow. Who knew you’d get so tired so soon,” she continued, before chuckling and pouring another handful of water for the Eevee to drink; while maneuvering the bottle in her free hand and taking a few sips from the bottle in her other hand.
After hearing another satisfied cry issuing from her Eevee, she then chuckled and began to pet him; sending him purring much like a cat. “Well, you’re crazy, you know that…” she continued after taking enough of a drink from the bottle of water that she had with her; and then turning to look at the training dummies that had been set up on one side of the place. “So… what do you think? Technique practicing next on the dummies?” she asked, pointing towards the wooden logs that had been painted in all manner of randomity.
If one looked and observed the dummies a bit more closely, there were scratch and scuffle marks on the middle and sides; but none near the top. “We have to at least practice their move accuracy…or something like that, don’t you think?” she asked his way, after taking another swig of water from the bottle in her hands.
