Since Izumi was home in Hoenn for the time being, she decided to check out the Hoenn Network to see if there was anything unusual going on. It… had been a while since she’d done a mission to help out the greater good here, and so she wanted to get started. There was an alarming news bulletin coming from Fallarbor, the town closest to Lavaridge, so she decided to go there and help drive back the incoming “threat” while the citizenry got their act together and helped clean up the ash fall that was, for some strange reason, blowing in the little town’s direction! Better get going, she thought to herself as she swapped out a member of her team for Sora, at least for now, and then set off from Lavaridge and headed towards Fallarbor. Once she’d arrived, she literally landed in a town that was overflowing with the ash fall; she could also feel the flecks falling into her hair! “Eep, I see what they mean,” she muttered to herself as she then directed her footsteps towards the Pokémon Center and then swapped out her Braviary for the member of the team she was currently training back in again, before dusting off all the ash out of her hair and as much as she could out of her clothes.
Honestly, why did Mount Chimney choose to act up now, along with the crazy wind? She thought to herself as she then proceeded to tie up her long hair and then squared her shoulders, before heading out into the town proper again, where the people were starting the massive clean-up operation. She did see the problem, after wading around the ash fall for a while—that it was highly possible for the occupants of the route to the east to start coming in, and that’s where she headed, to the very edge of the town, facing the route where the Glassmaker’s house was located. “Now, I wonder if someone else would come and help me…” she muttered to herself once more, deciding to send out Draken and Yuya, her ever-reliable “dynamic duo” that consisted of a Garchomp and a Swampert, to act as sentries if in case they spotted something unusual headed their way!
{Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down}Title: Ashes, Ashes, We All Fall Down Claimed By: Open Catching: Yes (Slugma, Sandshrew, Spinda, Skarmory) Members: 1-4 Rewards: •20 Description: GAH! Strange winds blew over the quiet Fallarbor Town, and now all the ashes that normally fall in the eastern route are being blow into town. To make matters worse, the Pokemon that inhabit said route are moving closer to the town, threatening to invade it in its ashy state. Professor Cosmos already found the source of the wind, and the citizens are cleaning up the ashes, but it's up to you to stop the wild Pokemon from entering the town, and driving them back to their natural habitat.

She was lucky then, because help was along the way.
On his travels, Josh Dragomir had noticed a notice (Hehe) board with an urgent bulletin about an incident in the nearby town. With his nature, of course, Josh was inclined to go help to the best of his abilities. And who knows, maybe he'd even catch a 6th member to his team if he was lucky. Or not. The world worked in mysterious ways, you couldn't really predict if you were going to succeed or fail, or if things were going to go your way or not. You couldn't predict, nor could you dictate. And that was what made every situation unpredictable and prone to chaos.
Regardless, Josh would irritably brush a few flakes of ash from his hair as he made his way past the Pokemon Center. Gah, why did he have to have long hair in a town like this? And why was ash falling from the sky? It was weird... But he was here to stop the wild Pokemon from invading the space, not question the odd weather conditions.
Asking around a bit, Josh would find out that another person had also taken up the task issued from the notice board, and was heading toward Mt Chimney. He shrugged, the more the merrier, right? And with that, he set out, his Pichu Lightning popping out of his Pokeball and making his way onto Josh's shoulder. He couldn't help but smile a bit as he patted the Pichu with the bandana on neck, on the head. The little guy had begun making this a habit, but as long as he didn't cause trouble, it was fine.
The Pichu coo'd affectionately from the pat, though stared at a flake of ash as it fell onto his little nose. The Pichu would let out a little sneeze, sending it flying off. Josh couldn't help but laugh as they made their way to where these wild pokemon were coming from. Hopefully, he'd find the other girl too. The more help the better on this sort of thing.

The Swampert had decided to assume the point position, taking up the lead; with Izumi in the middle of the pack. The Garchomp was behind them,a cting as rear guard, when she suddenly heard Draken speak up. “Gar. Garchomp, gar,” she heard him grown, before a light pat with its extremely long appendage caught her attention. “Hm?” she began, still looking out into the sea of ashes; before turning around to face the Garchomp. “Something up?” she asked the Garchomp, to which he nodded—and saw that there was someone else headed their way. Interesting, let’s get this little problem down and out before the town gets overrun… she thought to herself as she then decided to call out to the individual that was headed her way, “Are you here to help out too?” before brushing away some of the ash that had fallen onto her face. From what she could see (by squinting) there was a Pichu perched on his shoulder; and he definitely didn’t seem to be attacking her at this point—what with the Garchomp standing right beside her at this point.
She was waiting for a response; but then the Swampert (who was facing the ash-coated route) started growling; a sign that something… a lot of somethings were close by. Uh-oh… she thought, quickly turning around to face the path, and the growling noise coming from the Swampert intensified; and then the Garchomp then fell into position as well, standing on the Swampert’s left side, its claws bared and ready to get some heads knocking! Wow they’re pretty pent-up… she thought, noticing their movements—it wasn’t like the normal way they’d dive into the ground in the Badlands over in Kalos; they meant business; limited attack library taken into consideration. But they work so well together, she continued musing to herself as the Garchomp then let out a growl of its own, hunching slightly forward, preparing itself to charge forward at the signal!

Josh could hear a woman call out to him. "If you're the one that's handling the wild Pokemon problem out here?" he questioned aloud to her. "Well, if so... You could say that" he said, smirking faintly as he made his way over to her. Before he could say anything else or joke any bit more though, it seemed her Pokemon were tense, nervous... Perhaps sensing something.
"Pi-cha!" Lightning let out, also seeming to sense danger. He would climb off Josh's shoulder and stand in line with the other two.
"Alright, looks like we might have a fight on our hands" Josh said, taking a breath before clicking another Pokeball. "Go, Vulcan!"
Out would pop a strangely colored Torchic, who would stand beside his Pichu ally, watching for what was to come. "Torchic-Tor!"

It appeared that her Pokémon’s senses were spot-on; for the Swampert and the Garcomp quickly formed a defensive shield in front of Izumi; and they were unfazed at the sudden “heat wave” that seemed to be coming from the grass. At first, things looked normal—then upon closer inspection, the ash-coated grass itself was getting scorched and wilted. What was causing the problem? Further squinting revealed that there was a horde of five Slugma being led by three Magcargo heading towards the direction of the town, and they had full intentions of razing whatever they could touch to the ground! “Hoo boy, we need the fire department in here. Thankfully I have these guys,” she muttered to herself as she nodded, and the two positioned Pokémon took their spots, while waiting for the signal. “Try not to get burned,” she said toward her companion’s direction—even from this distance, the heat that the magma-emitting (or should we say magma-composed) Pokémon were sending out was starting to become stuffy and unbearable. “Alright, Draken, Yuya, do your thing! Don’t let them near the town!” she said, pointing forward, giving them the green light to start their assault.
The Garchomp then grinned with glee as it then dove underground without any further commands while the Swampert then took a deep breath, considering which one to attack first—but it was the Magcargo that had given their own signal; with a simultaneous roar, the Magcargo hung back, letting the five Slugma rush forward, the first Slugma that took the lead had unleashed a pretty nasty-looking Flamethrower attack! “Oh hell no,” she hissed, and then the Swampert sprang into action, quickly firing off a high-pressure blast of water—even if it was just a Water Gun attack, it then proceeded to cut through the defenses and continued to fire off even more quick spurts of water; and even if it felt slow, she knew she had to get something done! Don’t make me call in the cavalry… but then it would be risky at that point, she thought, looking down at Ivan’s Pokeball, where the now-Tyranitar leered back at her, itching to get some battle done! Instead, she stole a glance at Mau’s Pokeball, and decided that the Vibrava would be better for this kind of situation—for now.
At that moment, the Garchomp came up from underground, striking the Slugma that was in the middle of the triangular formation; knocking it up into the air; before it gathered draconic energy onto its claws, and then unleashing a Dragon Claw on the Slugma that was falling down. The Swampert saw this cue and then took this chance to fire off several more Water Gun attacks at the falling Slugma, much like it was a game of target practice—at least for the two! The Vibrava then made its appearance on the battlefield and began buzzing around Izumi, before she waved him off and pointed forward, before saying, “Mau, mind if you cause a ruckus there and Bulldoze everything, but don’t hit your team mates, okay? Go!” she said, and the Vibrava gleefully flew forward, before suddenly coming to a halt and then throwing all its weight onto its stubby legs—and a few moments later, the entire ground shook, causing all the Slugma and Magcargo to bump into each other—but there was a benefit for this kind of move; all opponents hit by Bulldoze would have their speed lowered by one stage!
The two that were having fun with the Slugma that had now fallen to the ground in a heap saw that there was another team mate of theirs out on the field, and just for the heck of it, continued to attack the struggling Slugma, finally driving it backwards and out of the fray—but that left them with an even bigger problem; there were still three Magcargo and four Slugma remaining! “Mau, do it again! Bulldoze them all, Yuya, go aerial and rain Water Gun down on them; Draken, you know what to do, take out the big guns in whatever means necessary!” she continued, and the Garchomp then dove back underground again; before heading towards where the Magcargo were; just as the Swampert went into a jump and began firing off sniper-point Water gun attacks, the Vibrava then unleashed another Bulldoze attacks, causing all remaining assembled ‘mons to bump and crash into each other and have their speed reduced by another stage!
{Drive the Horde away!}Garchomp, Swampert and Vibrava out on the battlefield!
Swampert starts firing off Water Gun attacks at the lead Slugma in order to diffuse the Flamethrower attack it had tossed their way; while the Garchomp comes up fron underground, having used Dig on the Slugma in the middleof the five-point attack party!
Opposing Slugma sent airbone; Garchomp used Dragon Claw; and Swampert closes the gp and fires off Water Gun right at the falling Slugma!
Vibrava emerges on the battlefield; using Bulldoze x2!
Garchomp now underground again due to using Dig!
One Slugma repelled.

Gah, what a heatwave, the blonde thought to himself. What in the world was causing this? He highly doubted the area was naturally this hot... Whatever it was, the grass itself was melting in front of their very eyes! Whatever was causing this might very well be powerful indeed!
A Macargo leading a pack of Slugma… This was going to be interesting. “Lightning, Vulcan, we can’t let them near the town!” Josh called out.
“Tor!” Vulcan would answer. “Pi!” Lightning would respond energetically. Josh breathed, he hadn't battled in quite some time….
“Alright, you two! Let’s focus on two of those Slugma at a time!” he called. He knew they were likely too powerful for them to try and overtake in numbers, they’d have to try an even field, and even then, Josh didn’t know if he’d have a chance…..
“Don’t let them get past us, guys! Lightning, use Thundershock on one of the Slugma! Vulcan, use Quick Attack on the other!"
“Pi Pi Pichu!” Lightning responded as he would quickly allow electricity to spark on his cheeks. “Piiii…. CHUUUUU!” he would let out, sending a lethal surge of electricity crashing into one of the Slugma. It would cry out in pain from the shocks, but once they stopped, it glared over at Lightning. Seems it’s attention was on the Pichu now….
Meanwhile, Vulcan would run quite quickly, it’s games of tag having been useful for developing speed. “TORRRRRRRR-CHIC!” Vulcan let out, slamming itself into the magma Pokemon. Luckily, Josh knew full well that a fire type like Torchic would do just fine despite the flaming body of his adversary. The Slugma would skid along the ground some, before turning it’s attention to Vulcan.
“Alright, we got their attention off the town now!” Josh said. He noticed that the Bulldoze attack (No duh, considering the shaking) had disoriented the horde, and had slowed the Slugma and Macargo down… This was their chance.
Of course, nothing came free. One of the Slugma would shoot a Flamethrower from it’s gaping maw that would go right for Vulcan. The poor thing was caught off guard, and would skid back. “Tor!” he let out in pain, but his fire typing would keep it from hurting it too much. The other Slugma meanwhile would shoot one as well at Lightning, but after Vulcan’s hit, the Pichu learned his lesson, rolling out of the way. “Pi!” Lightning let out as the searing hot geyser of flames soared by it.
“Good, Lightning! Keep it up!” Josh called. “Vulcan, hang tough! You’ll get it next time!” he encouraged.

Watching as her companion sent out a Torchic and a Pichu out on the field, she then let the Vibrava fly around her as the Swampert and Garchomp proceeded to the “back of the pack” in order to be able to drive off the “heavy guns” so that they wouldn’t be faced with this literal wall of hot air. God it’s so hot… this is terrible, she thought to herself, fanning down as much as she could and then noticing that the Torchic was… of a shiny coloration! Well, fighting fire with fire is a good idea; but at least he knows not to hit them too hard with Fire-based attacks… she continued to herself as she then nodded in the Vibrava’s direction before it buzzed ahead, and she then called out, “Okay, Mau, let’s help out the other two! Bring on another Bulldoze, and then use your Faint Attack on the Slugma that the Torchic had knocked off to one side!” while squinting into the distance to see what the other two were up to against the Magcargo that were just letting their underlings do the attack.
The Vibrava then nodded, before suddenly taking a dive-bomb and then tossing its entire body-weight forward; another Bulldoze ripped through the area, tossing the two Slugma together, and knocking the other two that hung back forward as well, making them crash into the two and generally exhaling a lot of hot air from their direction. “Go!” she continued towards the Vibrava, and it then vanished from sight, before reappearing in front of the “lead” Slugma and then smacking it with an attack that could not miss no matter how much they tried to dodge. “Alright, Mau, trip ‘em up again and make ‘em really slow, one more Bulldoze!” she continued, and braced herself as the Vibrava jumped up and then pitched forward again, causing the ground to tremble, not as powerfully as an Earthquake; and thankfully it hadn’t hit her companion’s Pokémon; because it was apparently a move that hit everything on the field!
Over at where the Swampert was now circling the Magcargo, the two were eyeing each other, as if testing out the waters before attacking—when a sudden rumbling from the Magcargo’s side signaled the re-emergence of the Garchomp that had knocked it into the air due to the impact of the Dig attack! Once the Magcargo had been sent airborne, the Swampert wasted no time, and then fired off rapid-fire instances of Water Gun attacks, assaulting the airborne Magcargo that let out a howl of surprise. The Garchomp had pulled himself back up on land and was now charging up its appendages, before waving them in the Magcargo’s direction, unleashing the draconic energy stored within them; releasing its Dragon Claw attack. At the same time the Magcargo was falling (and being drenched with Water Gun attacks from all sides) the Garchomp then gathered a ball of draconic energy within its maw and released an airborne Dragon Rage at the falling, flailing, defenseless Magma-based ‘mon, which then sailed father and fell with a loud thud not too far away. After it had rolled itself around like a snail, the Magcargo that had been pelted with the attacks then slitered off; and the two then turned their focus to another one of the two remaining Magcargo, before cracking a grin.
This time though, the Garchomp quickly charged up its Dragon Claw attack and then came in at the same time that the Swampert had charged towards it with a Tackle attack, and the two combined attacks then knocked it off-balance; before the Swampert fired off another point-blank Water Gun attack, soaking the Magcargo’s face! It then let out a howl and tried to use a Flame Burst attack, but was easily thwarted as the two ‘mons then dodged in opposite directions letting the fire wash over the ground—before coming in close again; this time the Garchomp using Slash, and the Swampert letting loose with another Tackle! The Swampert then leaped aside as it spat out more sparks of fire, before continuing the assault of rapid-fire Water Gun charges, forcing the Magcargo backwards; before it then tucked into its shell and then slithered away from the fray!
Whew, two Magcargo out, one more to go and then we can deal with the remaining Slugma… Izumi mused to herself, reaching up and wiping down the sweat that was now pouring down her face.
{Drive out the Horde!}Garchomp, Swampert and Vibrava out on the battlefield!
Vibrava starts with another Bulldoze, knocking the Slugma together; before going in for a Faint Attack on the closest one. it then backs off and uses Bulldoze once more.
Garchomp re-emerges from ground with Dig, sending the Magcargo airborne! Swampert then begins blasting Water Gun at the airborne target, before the Garchomp catches it with a Dragon Claw attack. Swampert keeping up the stream of Water Gun attacks; while Garchomp fires off a Dragon Rage attack, which knocks one of the Magcargo out of the battlefield.
The two then proceed to ram another Magcargo out of the battlefield with a combined Dragon Claw and Tackle attack, before being assaulted with a Flame Burst attack, which both dodged.
Garchomp comes in close and uses Slash, before falling back and then using Tackle, then following up with Water Gun!
One Slugma and two Magcargo repelled.

Josh could hear the earth shaking again as another Bulldoze was coming. This time, he knew he wasn't going to be so lucky.
"Lightning, Vulcan, jump onto the rocks and avoid that Bulldoze attack!" Josh commanded. "Pi!" Lightning would respond, with Vulcan doing the same as he followed suit. The Slugma would be slowed down, meanwhile, leaving them open for attack. One of the Slugma that they were tackling had also been hit good... Now was Josh's chance.
"Lightning, Vulcan, attack that weakened Slugma together!" Josh commanded. "Use Thundershock and Flamethrower!"
Both Pichu and Torchic would leap into the air.....
"Piii...."
"Tor....."
Both cries were let out in prep as they leaped up, fixing their focus on the one Slugma.
"CHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!"
"CHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC!"
And then finished as they unleashed a Thundershock/Flamethrower combination that would score a direct hit on the Slugma, knocking it out cold. This would leave them with their other target.
"Dodge, both of you!" Josh commanded, and the two would manage to roll in mid-air to avoid a Flamethrower from the other Slugma they had targetted, and they both landed on a large rock.
"Piii... CHUUUUU!" and "TORRRRRRRRRRRR!" were let out from both parties as the Thundershock and Flamethrower combination was repeated, also nailing this one dead on and causing it to faint, just as it's companion had.
They would both land in Josh's arms as he caught them and he laughed a bit, patting them both. "Good job, you two!" he encouraged before looking over at his companion.

Izumi was still wiping the sweat that continued to build up all over her exposed areas—namely her face and her arms. She could see, thankfully, that her companion had made his own ‘mons jump up right before her Vibrava went nuts with the Bulldoze attack spam, so at least they weren’t hit with it! As for his question, she then gave him a thumbs-up, before continuing, “Well… shoot, there’s still one more Magcargo over there but they have it covered,” she began, indicating that the “they” she was referring to were her dynamic duo, the Garchomp and Swampert; before noticing that there were still two more Slugma around! “Ah shoot, there’s still two of them Slugma left. Let me try to sweep them out as fast as I can, this heat is really getting to me, makes me wish I didn’t wear something too thick due to the heat wave…” she muttered crossly as she was sorely wishing she could just strip down and just fight in her underwear, but then again that wasn’t possible at the moment. “Mau, bring it home! Let loose with Bulldoze and then Mud Slap, before finishing it off with a Faint Attack!” she continued, and the Vibrava that was buzzing around her then flew forward, like it was a fighter plane going to crash land somewhere—and then another ground-shaking attack ripped through the area, lumping together the two remaining Slugma!
After the two magma-like entities had crashed against each other, the Vibrava then continued to fly low, before quickly flipping around and then unleashing a sudden “screen” of mud, aimed directly at the two Slugma that were still trying to recover! One of them had been blinded and had taken a direct hit to the face, its eyes were now coated with mud; it then let out a sudden blast of fire in all random directions—while the other one that could still see attempted to charge at the Vibrava—but where had it gone off to? The answer was obvious a few seconds later; it then appeared right in front of said Slugma, before whipping its short tail out from behind and then smacking it with an attack that it could not evade!
Seeing that it was now waiting for orders, she then continued, “Slap some mud on its face again, Mau! Then another Faint Attack, front and center!” and watched as the Vibrava then repeated its slapping action, sending more mud hurtling towards the not-blinded Slugma; and then quickly disappearing in the general confusion before landing another unblockable attack on it; causing it to go wild and then be pushed back! Seeing that it was up against something that it could not hit, it then slunk over and retreated from the battlefield, leaving the one raging, blinded Slugma to spiral out of control as said Vibrava then zoomed forward to help the Swampert and Garchomp take care of the remaining Magcargo.
The Garchomp had vanished again underground, having used Dig, while the Vibrava then came in for an up-close-and-personal Faint Attack, while the Swampert continued to blast it from the sidelines with its Water Gun, assisted with its Mud Slap attack as well. The packed mud did nothing to alleviate the heat the Magcargo was radiating, however the Water Gun attack was working; it was cooling down some of the haze in the air! A slight rumbling from the ground signaled the re-emergence of the Garchomp, and it then used the Dig attack to knock it sky-high once more, to which the Swampert adjusted its trajectory and aimed its Water Gun attacks skywards; the Vibrava flying up as high as the Magcargo and using another Faint Attack on the helpless “leader”! the Garchomp then suddenly leapt up and unleashed a Slash, followed by a Dragon Claw attack; and upon landing, the Magcargo then slithered away, unable to do much due to being battered by not just one, not two, but three Pokemon that had ganged up on it! Back at where Izumi stood, she then realized that she hadn’t introduced herself! Resisting the urge to slap a palm to her forehead, she then looked at him, who was being…assaulted by the Pichu and shiny Torchic, before walking over and extending a hand to him.
“Gosh I’m sorry for not introducing myself. Name’s Izumi. The ones over there who just drove off the Magcargo are Draken—that’s the Garchomp; Yuya; the Swampert over there, and Mau, the Vibrava who just loves spamming Bulldoze. Good thing you told your team to jump, otherwise they’d get hit,” she said with a sheepish grin on her face.
{Drive the Horde off!}Garchomp, Swampert and Vibrava out on the battlefield!
Vibrava dive-bomb and unleashes another Bulldoze, before staying down low and then coming up for a frontal mud-Slap attack. It then vanishes from view and hits the not-blinded Slugma with a Faint Attack!
Vibrava continues its assault with Mud Slap, before unleashing another Faint Attack!
Vibrava then joins up with Swampert and Garchomp, using Faint Attack on the remaining Magcargo; while Swampert supports from the sidelines with Water Gun and Mud Slap. Garchomp then uses Dig on the Magcargo, sneding it sky-high!
Swampert continues to fire off Water Gun on the aerial Magcargo; Vibrava comes in for another Faint Attack; while the Garchomp jumps and uses Slash / Dragon Claw combo attack!
Four Slugma and three Magcargo repelled.

Holding his two precious Pokemon, who were almost like his little babies, in his arms, he watched as the woman impressively finished her bit of the Slugma and Macargo horde. As she walked over, he let the both of them take their places on one of his shoulders each before taking the extended hand. He couldn't help but smirk a bit.
"It's fine" he said. "Considering it was in the heat of battle, I don't blame you one bit for being unable to introduce yourself. My name's Josh" he introduced with a small smile. "These two little troublemakers here are Lightning, my Pichu, and Vulcan, my Torchic."
"Pi-Cha!" Lightning greeted, waving. "Torchic-Tor!" Vulcan would also respond. Josh would notice the Slugma trying to sneak it's way into the town though... Trying to get in within all the chaos.
"Looks like there's one more trying to sneak in" he remarked, motioning toward it. "You want to handle this one, or should I?"
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Jul 27, 2014 2:19:46 GMT -5
“Nice to finally put a name to the face, Josh,” she began with this extremely embarrassed look on her face. “The heat was becoming terrible so I decided to take it out before they razed the town to the ground—oh crap, forgot that one!” she said, shaking his hand in return before letting out a sharp whistle; causing the three to fall back—and along the way they encountered the remaining Slugma that was attempting to sneak into the town proper! As one, the three then let loose with whatever attack was closest—and could hit the quickest; the Vibrava coming up close with a Faint Attack; the Garchomp aiming a long-distance Slash attack; while the Swampert blasted the snail-crawling Slugma with Water Gun!
The three incoming attacks brought the Slugma to a halt, and with some more effort from the Swampert courtesy of Water gun, they had managed to drive off the entire horde… and then someone who had seemingly come from town then dashed over to them and gave them an update of what was going on in the town.
After conversing with the individual who agreed to return at certain intervals, she then faced Josh and continued, “Well, they’ve already started cleaning up the town; we just have to be on the lookout for more invaders… they also said that once we’re done we’re free to come to town and grab some refreshments after the entire thing is over. They’ll take care of clean-up, we take care of the hordes. Their best trainers are apparently out of town, so yeah, they’re pretty much…stuck,” she said, giving the nutshell version of the situation that was going on right now in town.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Jul 29, 2014 23:20:15 GMT -5
He chuckled a bit at her response. "Well, it's nice to put a beautiful face to a name on this end too" he teased playfully with a slight smirk before he allowed her to handle the last Slugma that he had pointed out. Lightning and Vulcan needed a break after all.
Then Josh noticed something new... A horde of Sandshrew and Sandslash heading their way. Great, he thought to himself, when did this wild Pokemon invasion end? Of course, it would be nice to catch a Sandshrew, he realized... Or he could wait to see if anything else came up. He'd have to think and make his decision at some point.
"Hey, sweetcheeks, looks like we got more company!" he said as he pointed toward their new friends. "You up for another round? Looks like these guys aren't playing around!" he called over to her, as Lightning's cheeks sparked. He was ready, tired or not. So was Vulcan, who stared the Sands down.

As the three ‘mons approached her, she heard Josh speak up, and even she had to chuckle at the way he said it—because from the looks of things, even he’d forgotten to introduce himself due to all the confusion! “Well, it’s better than being stuck in an awkward situation after all the battling and not knowing each others’ names, right?” she continue with a grin—before the news of another impending horde caught her attention. “What? You… are you serious?” she continued, squinting further out—she couldn’t tell due to the ash fall, but her three main ‘mons out picked up on the scent of something that was definitely not familiar—she noticed that the Garchomp had roared and flexed its claws; while the Swampert assumed a “ready” position; and the Vibrava was hovering above the two—and then, it did come. There was a literal stampede of six Sandshrew and three Sandslash (she knew because she had one, a finicky eater named Luvart that was still stuck in her PC) headed their way, and from the looks of things, it was going to get quite… dicey. Heh, not for long… she thought as she then whistled, and the three went to attention.
“Alright, we’re going to drive the away as much as we can. Can’t have the clean-up committee doing so much more now, eh?” she said with a smirk on her face, and then she began issuing orders, “Draken, go forward and use your Slash and Dragon Claw combination, try to set them up as much as you can! Mau, Faint Attack everything you can see, because I’m sure Ground-type attacks don’t affect their own kind… and Yuya… let’s play some more advanced sniping games… if any of them decide to come flying, use your Ice Beam on them, okay? Feel free to do whatever after that, just keep them over there and don’t let them approach the town!” and at that, the three moved out, the Vibrava quickly disappearing because of its Faint Attack—it then reappeared a few moments later in front of the first Sandshrew and thwacked it with all its body weight; before vanishing again and hitting the next one in the horde. The Sandshrew were then sent into a state of chaos—the Garchomp had used the initial confusion to sneak forward and then began hammering another Sandshrew with its Slash attacks; followed up by its Dragon Claw! One of the Sandslash had decided to catapult itself forward in order to protect their underlings—but was met with a sudden beam of arctic energy that the Swampert had begun firing at the horde!
Back at where Izumi was, she then stamped down a few times, ending a few clouds of ash fluttering all over the place before eventually watching it settle between her feet, and then shrugged before turning towards Josh’s direction, “Well, looks like they have it covered for now. Although I may want to warn you now, if you don’t want your companions getting caught in the crossfire, I suggest you return them to your Pokeballs now,” she said, because there was just something absolutely evil formulating in the back of her mind right now. Over at where the three were now tussling with the horde of Sandshrew / Sandslash, the Garchomp had decided to get up close and personal with its own Dragon Claw barrage towards one of the Sandslash, and the two met in a striking of claws; both not wanting to be defeated. The Vibrava continued to pummel the other remaining Sandshrew with its Faint Attack, simply because it was too fast to hit—plus the attack was pretty much undodgable at that point. The Swampert continued to fire off arctic beams of energy, trapping a few of the Sandshrew that had decided to avoid the mayhem, pushing and shoving them backwards so that they were grouped together.
{Horde Attack!}Garchomp, Swampert and Vibrava out on the battlefield!
Garchomp leads with Slash + Dragon Claw combo on one Sandshrew attempting to split off and raid the town; while vibrava is flickering in and out of view due to using Faint Attack on everything that's moving (that's not its team mates).
Swampert sees one Sandslash attempting to join the sneaking Sandshrew but stops it in its tracks with Ice Beam, herding them back to the horde; before using Ice Beam again to set up a "fence" around the horde that is now bunched together. Vibrava is still using Faint attack on all the Sandshrew it can reach!
Remaining horde:
Sandshrew: 6 Sandslash: 3
Town Clean-up: 30%
