Now that the grueling part of everything was over, she decided to take a bit of sight-seeing around Kalos… and was now on the hunt for a certain Lion ‘mon that she wanted to get her hands on. The little snag in this entire thing was that due to the sheer size of the Kalos region, it was highly possible to run into ‘mons from other regions—she’d received frustrated voice mail messages from her ‘certified turn-to Breeder’ rambling about how the hell hard it was looking for a Honedge in the entire region. Hoping that his bad luck would not rub off on her, she decided to start her search in another place that was definitely further away from Lumiose—this little backwards town called ‘Camphrier’.
She decided to swap out some of her usual ‘mons in order to be able to give the others that were stuck in storage a chance to get out and have some exercise—in this case she swapped out three, leaving Gardevoir, Quilava, Braviary and Empoleon as her ‘stable anchors’—she needed to give her Dratini a chance to go out and actually attack something, since the poor thing missed its chance in her last Safari Zone hunting thread. She also knew that she lacked some firepower in the electricity department; s she decided to bring along Fulmine, her Elekid, for the ride. Now she was trundling through the outskirts of Camphrier, holding her breath and hoping for the best—because who knew which ‘mons would decide to make their untimely appearance in…the search.

Izumi heard a distinct rustling noise—and looked up expectantly, was it the miniature lion she was looking for? She then looked expectantly at the quivering bushes—and was dismayed; because there was a bird holding a leek-stick instead. Oh well, not you… she thought, and was about to back away when one of her PokeBalls started wiggling—and she quickly snatched it before figuring out who was inside the thing—it was Fulmine’s residence. “Oh, alright, come on out, I know you want to beat something up,” she said, quickly letting the ball fly and releasing its occupant; watching as the flash of red light coalesced into something that was not quite an Electabuzz yet—it was definitely smaller, and scrawnier—and to prove that point, several sparks of electricity shot out from the plug-like receptacles that made up the top of its head.
“Yes Fulmine, I know you’re itching for battle. Try not to get hurt too much. Let’s go and start with a Thunder Wave status change, and then proceed with unleashing all hell on it with a Quick Attack, okay? Now, go, go forward and show me what you can do,” she said, shushing the little Elekid forward—and it was all too eager to get started. The bird (which she now realized was a Farfetch’d) noticed that there was an incoming spark of electricity and moved to dodge it—by going forward and starting a series of slapping attacks—which she recognized to be a Fury Attack move. “Oh come on, birdie, really?” she said, trying her best not to chuckle as the Thudner Wave attack hit it; and it was now stuck in a crazy statue-like pose; waiting to move! Yes, auto-Paralyze is in effect… she thought as she watched the little Elekid quickly close the distance and came in for a striking Quick Attack move, which then proceeded to knock the Farfetch’d over on its side.
Just as the bird was trying to move again; it flapped its wings—while still holding the leek-stick in its other wing. Man this bird is crazy, she thought as she watched it fire off another attack, and it looked terribly familiar—although there were slight differences to it. the attack then battered the Elekid’s small body, and she heard it shriek out of surprise—was it really that painful?—when she realized that Fulmine had a chance of triggering its Static ability as well. Hello double paralysis. Wait a second is that even possible? she thought as she watched the Farfetch’d suddenly step back—and she knew that it was starting to feel numb all over—but then suddenly went into a kamikaze diving attack headed right for the little ‘mon!
“Oh hell no,” she hissed at first, before amending her command, “Fulmine, go smack that with a Thunderbolt attack now! Evade if needed!” and then diving out of the way right at the very moment the sky went dark—she watched as the Elekid quickly summoned a bolt of lightning that came crashing down from the sky, cutting off the Farfetch’d mid-attack, and watching as it flopped over, inert and very much… cooked. “Well, that’s that,” she said, whistling in order to catch Fulmine’s attention—and both mistress and ‘mon disappeared into the undergrowth, looking for their next target.

Now that they were going through the undergrowth, another rustling noise was to be had! Crossing her fingers and hoping that it was the one she was looking for, both mistress and Elekid waited… and the look on her face was more than enough to curdle fresh cream—but then realized that this was an opportunity for Kairi, her Dratini. The Pokemon that the two had seen? It was a shrunken-down version of a Sudowoodo; and she realized that Fulmine’s attacks were not even going to work on it—and neither would Arashi’s, so she decided to go for the next-best thing—“Fulmine, stay back and watch. Learn from this too,” she said, and the Elekid promptly stayed behind her foot as she dug out another Pokeball and then sent out its occupant in a flash of red light.
As the serpentine figure came to form, it quickly did some sort of a tail wiggle, before greeting Izumi with a “Dratini!” and blinking in her direction. “Right, Kairi. You see that thing over there? Go ahead and smack it with an Aqua Tail attack, if you please,” and then stepped back in order to allow the Dratini to have enough space for the battle. She then watched as the battle unfurled: the Dratini was seemingly slithering, yet hopping along the ground at the same time—before noticing that its tail was completely surrounded by water—and then she heard the smacking noise, and then a splash—for the tiny Sudowoodo miniature hadn’t budged—but she noticed that it was crying—or was it? I have no idea what the hell that is, but whatever… she thought; before moving to issue the next set of orders. “Kairi, go use Agility now! Pick up the speed so that you can use another Aqua Tail attack!”
The Bonsly was now annoyed—what was this little thing doing to its idle time—and then suddenly started flinging rocks its way; to which said Dratini responded with the Agility move—seemingly making duplicates of itself but in reality, was raising its Speed stat. the rocks continued to fall around it, however—and then the final one smacked it upside the head, which made I cry out of surprise. “Ah dang,” she hissed, before watching as another Aqua Tail destroyed the ‘prison’ of rocks that had enveloped the little Dragon-type. The rocks were sent flying; and some of them went hurtling back towards the Bonsly that was now setting up for a certain attack that involved its coming in really close—who knew that it had legs—and then tried to aim a Low Kick attack right on it! “Dodge, Kairi, and let’s smack it with another Aqua Tail attack!” she said, hoping that her orders made it in time since the Bonsly was dangerously close at the moment.
“Dratini!” she heard it cry out in reply, and by using the boosted Speed (she was not sure if it was negated) she watched as the Dratini nimbly dodged out of the way; and then delivered another smacking Aqua Tail attack. Izumi was pondering on using the Dragon Tail attack; but decided against it—and instead watched the rest of the scenes unfold. The Bonsly ended up hitting air—before getting doused right in the face; and it looked like it was in trouble. “Kai, go for another Agility attack, and then go for Aqua Tail once again! Evade if things get nasty,” she called out, and watched as the Dratini seemingly made copies of itself—yet ended up having increased Speed instead. the Bonsly, however…had a plan of its own, as it began flailing around uselessly—much like the Thrash attack that had scourged Izumi some time ago.
“Evade! Aqua Tail!” she called out—and even then, the Dratini got hit and cried out—yet the Aqua Tail still connected and smacked the Bonsly, causing it to topple over. Now that it had fallen, she then reached into her pocket for an extra PokeBall—because she knew she had quite a number—and then lobbed it right at the inert Bonsly, and watched as it disappeared into the Pokeball with a flash of red light. Would it submit?

Seeing that the PokeBall had finally stopped shaking, she breathed a sigh of relief—as the ‘mon inside was coming along without a fight. Now the problem was getting it to the actual team bank—but as she was about to pick up the ball and watch it get whisked off to wherever the nether space called ‘her storage’ was, another scuffling noise drew their attention—it was another ‘mon, yes, but it was not the one that she was looking for. Now that she only had her crew with her, she decided to flip a finger at the afternoon sky for trolling her so much—and knew that someone somewhere, was laughing at her misery right now. The Dratini and Elekid looked up at their mistress in confusion, before she finally issued her next set of orders—“Fulmine, step forward please and let’s get this show on the road. We need to help the Bank gain more diverse ‘mons, and this one just fits that bill,” she said, pointing a finger at the curious Pidgey that just happened to look their way.
“Ele~kid, elekid!” she heard her little thunder buster buzz out, before trundling forward and releasing some zaps of electricity, just to surprise the bird that was now giving them a very dirty look. Without warning, the Pidgey suddenly zipped over towards the Elekid—it was already performing a Quick Attack—and that made her snicker. Go ahead and approach it, you’ll get Paralyzed… were the thoughts that went through her head right at the same time the Elekid began flailing about, releasing more bursts of electricity than it could control. The bird was cut off by a sudden jolt of electricity—which Izumi quickly translated into orders—“Go and use Thunder Wave now, Fulmine, we need to get going and find that elusive creature!” she said, backing away and scooping up the Dratini into her hands in order to give the Elekid enough space to move around.
The Elekid complied by quickly turning up the voltage it was releasing—and the Pidgey did manage to connect with its Quick Attack technique; only to back away and let out a cry of surprise—because it was now Paralyzed! Heh, thank you one hundred percent success rate, Thunder Wave… she trailed off in the back of her mind as the Elekid shifted, trying to gauge the distance between itself and the little bird, which was now flapping its wings in an attempt to use Wing Attack on the little thing. “Fulmine, counter with Electro Ball, now! Launch a Quick Attack as well if he gets too close!” she addressed next; and watching as the Pidgey attempted to land a Wing Attack on the Elekid that was now gathering a ball of electric energy—and then fired it off at almost point-blank range! The Pidgey could do nothing but take the full force of the attack—for even if the Pidgey was fast, the Elekid was just a bit faster. Several pairs of eyes watched as the Pidgey was sent backward, literally smoking due to the shock it had received—and it then attempted to stand up; and then let a last-second Quick Attack fly but falling over short, collapsing just halfway before the Pidgey could even approach the Elekid.
“Well then, it knows when it’s done…” she said to herself, quickly tossing another blank Pokeball at it and watching as the stunned bird was taken up in the flash of red light; and they watched…and waited.

Now that the Pidgey had been ‘deported’ off to the nether space that was known as her ‘Storage’, she decided to continue on…and almost flipped a table when she saw the final ‘mon that had appeared—it was an Abra. Normally, these creatures would Teleport away on sight—and she held out a finger to her lips to signal to Fulmine to keep it down; as she was going to try a different tack here—who knew if she was going to get another chance like this again. She then recalled Fulmine—as well as Kairi—and sent out her best bet; and the flash of red light coalesced into the tall, familiar figure of Momo, her Gardevoir—who then regarded the scene with some confusion. “Shh, Momo. You see that little one over there? Can you talk to him and make ‘im come along with us? I know we already have Belphie, but Steinhart needs reinforcements, and I was sent t look for an Abra. Okay?” she said with this look on her face; and the Gardevoir nodded.
“Go, go,” she said, shushing the Embrace ‘mon forward and then watching as she slowly but surely approached. She then decided to stand near a tree, and just watch the entire proceedings—if she had Belphegor with her (her Kadabra) then she could at least try to listen in on their conversation. From Momo’s perspective, she was now ‘floating’ towards the Abra—who jerked awake from its torpor. Seeing that there was this ‘alien’ intruder in its territory, it prepared to Teleport away—but the Gardevoir then extended its arms; and the two… started ‘talking’ if you may—mostly the Gardevoir was showing the Abra images through its empathy—and much as the Abra was trying to communicate, it could only watch the images that were being shown to it. Izumi, on the other hand, was just watching the proceedings unfold—and was about to take a nap—when she heard a rustling noise—what was going on?
Rubbing her eyes, she saw that Momo was now slowly yet surely leading the Abra towards her, pointing in her direction as she did so—and the Abra came to a stop in front of the ‘mistress’. Wondering if it was up to the task, Izumi waited to see if it would Teleport away—and instead received a nod; she then sighed in relief and said a silent ‘thank you’ to the embrace ‘mon, also wondering what the hell it had shown the Abra to convince it to come along in the first place. “This is for formality’s sake,” she said, taking out another blank PokeBall and then letting it roll against the ground, before it bumped against the Abra and swallowed it up in a flash of red light.

She was already expecting the thing to go inside—to her horror though, it popped out of the PokeBall on the second shake—was it not convinced? She then resisted the urge to flip a finger—because her Gardevoir was watching—and instead decided to deal with this in a very violent manner. Tsss, fine. Have it your way then, she thought, quickly taking out Fulmine’s PokeBall and then sending out the Elekid in another flash of red light; and once the light had taken shape and formed the little ‘wire plug gone haywire’… “Fulmine… I need you to brutally beat that Abra into submission. I know he’s going to try and Teleport away; but you’re faster—so let’s start off with a Thunder Wave, and then smack it with an Electro Ball attack, now!” she said, backing away—and gesturing for her Gardevoir to do so—and then madness was unleashed.
Knowing that Fulmine was literally itching for a battle, it quickly fired off the paralyzing jolt of electricity; which then caught the surprised Abra off-guard; it was now Paralyzed. Seeing that it was trying to Teleport away (but could not due to the sudden surprise) she watched as the Elekid quickly reared its ugly side and summoned a ball of electricity—and aimed it; but before it could hit something, the Abra managed to Teleport to another side of the battlefield! “Ah shit, now you’re going to make me chase you? Okay then, have it your way…” she hissed, this steely glint entering her eye as she quickly turned to Fulmine, getting an idea. “I know this may be a bit much, but Fulmine, go and drop a Thunderbolt over the entire area! We need to flush him out!” she shouted, and the Elekid quickly began whirling its fists; and the sky above darkened.
A peal of lightning suddenly came crashing down dead-center; and the Abra was caught somewhere near said peal of lightning; and that was bad enough as it is—when she followed up the order with, “Fulmine, fire off as many Electro Ball bursts as you can manage, because this Abra is playing hard to get!” she shouted, watching as the Abra was trying to evade the now-incoming bursts of globular electricity from the Elekid, who was whirling his arms overtime and was now trying to get a perfect shot at the Abra. She knew that the Abra was Paralyzed, and that it would slow down from moving—and that happened some time later; as the Abra was now noticeably trying to catch his breath; and the latest Electro Ball caught it full-on in the face; and it was sent soaring away from the battlefield, to come to a stop at the edge of the wood.”I told you so…” she said in Momo’s direction, picking up the PokeBall and lobbing it at the Abra’s direction once again; would it submit this time?!

This time, it succeeded—all she needed to do, really, was to wear the damned thing out until it collapsed over from exhaustion. Knowing that she hadn’t found what she was looking for, she decided to continue on her search—mostly because she still didn’t have the Litleo, and her Amaura was getting pretty lonely right about this time. Sighing, she then watched as the PokeBall that contained Abra disappeared off into the nether space—and she then made a mental note to send off the Bonsly and this one to the Team’s storage once she’d gotten back from doing everything here in Kalos. Oh crap I have to wait for word of the Honedge breeding and all that… she thought, resisting the urge to send Kouji a message to check in for her.
She then watched as the Elekid then staggered its way over to where she was; before flopping down face-first in the dirt—she knew that he was tired, and then reached out—but stopped short of actually touching him because there was a very high chance she was going to get zapped. “Good job back there. Let’s get you all rested now, okay?” she said, digging out his Pokeball and summoning the sleeping Elekid back into its temporary residence. Well, not bad for a field day… she thought, turning tail and walking out of sight, her Gardevoir following her in silence.
