elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.
EPOCH is PG-13. Proboards’ Terms of Service:
Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.

ason could not help himself! The moment he left the Safari Zone, he rushed over to the nearest Pokemon Center and handed over both Pokeballs to the nurse so they could be healed. Chip hadn't taken too much damage, but it would be better to get him healed now rather than forget later. His Piplup, however, was unconscious and needed to be healed. Jason also slipped the nurse a candy to be administrated to the little penguin. She eyed Jason curiously, but told him it would be done. Thirty minutes later, Jason had left the Center with a Pokeball in his pocket and another pass into the Safari Zone.
The elderly woman running the place had finally gotten a chance to relax. Trainers were coming in non stop, searching for the rare and exotic Kalos pokemon. Most of them, however, left a little disappointed. Sure, they found a different pokemon they wanted, but not one of those rare Kalos pokemon. She chuckled, for it didn't really matter either way. They came, she got money, and they left. The only tiring work was watching the trainers, making sure they stayed for their allotted time and no longer. She sat there, with a smug look on her face, and closed her eyes to catch some well deserved sleep.
And Jason walked in, as loud as an Exploud, searching for the elderly woman. Her eyes snapped open with the fury only one at her stage in life can have. She glared at Jason, and spat, "What do you want? Weren't you just here?!" "... Shit." Jason thought. The old hag must be angry, but why? He most likely had nothing to do with it.. Smiling, he held up his pass and pointed to the Safari door. The hag snatched his pass and scanned it, allowing the door to open and a single safari ball to pop out of the dispenser. Jason grabbed the ball as quickly as possible and got out of there, the woman's icy gaze following him the whole time.
he metal door that let Jason into the Safari Zone had slammed shut, either from the wind or the angry woman. It didn't really matter to Jason. He walked a bit, taking a different path than the one he had taken the first time, and began to whistle a tune. Nothing special or anything, just a tune he had heard on the radio the other day. He continued whistling, noting the rustling bushes and glowing eyes. This path definately has a lot more pokemon that other one. Jason was tempted to sing the words of the song, it was so catchy, but he could not remember the words. How'd it go?
"All I ever wanted was the world~ I can't help that I need it alll~" He sang, finally remembering the words. About to sing the rest, he realized he hadn't let his pokemon out and quickly enlarged the pokeball in his pocket and allowed his Ralts, Jasmine, out to hear the next verse. "The primadonna life, the rise and fall~" Jason belted, winking at his Ralts. She huffed and ignored him, knowing exactly what the words meant. His singing also caught the attention of another pokemon..
A small fire flared on the Cyndaquil's back as it heard the Human sing, waking it up from its nap. The little fire type yawned and looked around. It wasn't mad from being woken up, just curious of the noise. It was very different from what usually came out of Humans, not the harsh sounds some trainers made when a Pokemon managed to escape its spherical prison, nor was it the light and fluffy noise made by trainers talking to younger Pokemon. It was a mix of the noises, and it was something the Cyndaquil liked.
"I know I've got a big ego~ I really don't know why it's such a big deal, though~" Jason sang, singing of both himself and Jasmine. He was enjoying the time with Jasmine, not caring that his singing was probably scaring away the pokemon he had been looking forward to catching. His eyes closed, Jason was prepared to sing another verse when he bumped into his Ralts. Jason looked down to see her staring at a Cyndaquil, another starter pokemon. He must be really lucky for two starter pokemon to approach him, and on the same day! Preparing a strategy in his mind to take down the Cyndaquil, Jason was shocked when he felt a gentle nudge in his mind. He knew it was Jasmine, but what could she want? Allowing her access to his mind, she flashed scenes of him singing, the Cyndaquil, and a pokeball. She then left his mind and began speaking to the other Pokemon.
Jason wasn't stupid and had began to understand his Pokemon better. This little fire type would be soothed, or put to sleep, or something by his singing; Allowing an easy catch. Given a nod by Jasmine, signaling now would be a good time to sing, Jason continued, "Living life, like I'm in a play~ In the lime light I want to stay~" He paused and looked at the Cyndaquil, noting how its flames seemed to move with the pitch of his voice. "This is one interesting pokemon.." Jason thought, before singing, "Every day is a chore, chore, chore~ When you give, I want more, more, more~~ I wanna be adoreeeed~" Finally, Jasmine gave him another nod, and Jason found the safari ball in his pocket and began, "Primadonna girl, would you do anything for me?" He then pulled the ball out, singing, "Buy a big diamond ring for me?" Getting down on a knee, Jason added, "Would you get down on your knees for me?" The Cyndaquil was smiling, as far as Jason could tell, and so, he tossed the ball at it, each tick, singing:

inging to the wiggling safari ball might not have a conventional way to catch a pokemon, but it was getting the job done. With the final note of the song, the safari ball dinged, signaling the successful capture of the fire type starter. Jasmine approved of the capture as well, it seemed, because she went over to the green ball, picked it up, and handed it to Jason. "Well done, trainer. No force was needed to capture the small mammal of the flames. Even if the song you sang did offend me." She said in his mind. Jason smiled at her comment and accepted the safari ball from her. They had two new partners and both of them were starter pokemon! Rare pokemon usually only handed out and bred by Professors of each region. He couldn't wait to show Will!
Jason made his way out of the Safari Zone, as quickly and quietly as possible, not wanting to conjure the wrath of the hag. He then left to the nearest Pokemon Center in order to pick up Chip and the now female Piplup. What a wonderful way to start off the New Year!
