bittersweet.
Now that the bug wasn't focused on attacking him he didn't care where it went. He was going to have to shower whenever he got home so he wasn't worried about his hair getting messed up. He wasn't even worried about the Pokemon tangling it since it was few and far between that he didn't make sure to brush out his hair in the evenings before he went to bed and then again whenever he woke up. Sure he didn't dress very well but that didn't mean that he couldn't still be clean. When Heath came back finally with his Pokeballs and one egg he was a little bit relieved. He wanted to go back to the gym and relax. To get his Pokemon rested up and the eggs in a safe place so that he could hatch them in peace and quiet. "Thank you..." He took the Pokeballs and gently clipped them to his bag. He didn't like keeping his Pokemon confined but he understood that they needed their rest.
Now was the awkward moment of payment and he realized that he hadn't even asked how much the entire thing would cost before doing it. Not that money was really that big of a deal. After all he was a gym leader and got paid by the league to battle kids and make sure that he was enough of a challenge that they didn't get his badge right off the bat. "How much will the breeding be?" He needed to remember that this was business and not back in high school where he'd end up having to give all of his lunch money to this guy because he had an entourage of guys behind him to back him up. Here they were sort of on equal footing, even if Garrus didn't really feel like that was the case. He wondered if the Combee farms were still in business. Seeing Heath reminded him that he needed to visit the other male's father while he was in town. To once again thank him for everything he did.
Pokey chirped in success when she finally managed to get into Garrus' head. She crawled to the very top of his head and nuzzled herself down. Using her little claws, she carefully moved a bit of it around to cover herself up and make a comfy little nest. Yes, this was nice... almost as nice as her Trainer's hair. Not quite as soft but an easier color to hide in, plus it didn't smell like the cheap knockoff honey scented stuff that he used; really that stuff didn't even smell like honey and was just gross. Cooing, she rubbed her little body on him to try and make some static. A snack would be nice.
Still beaming, Heath didn't notice the trouble that his pokemon was getting into. He as still too proud over having bred his first couple of pokemon (that weren't his own) and it had been Garrus'! He would never get over that. Garrus had mentioned payment, though. To which Heath balked some. He hadn't even thought of that! Not at all! What would even be a fair price? The imagine of all the times he had stood over the younger man and forced his lunch money from him popped into his head. Hadn't he taken enough of his money already? So, it wasn't fair to ask for anymore....
"Please, its fine. On the house! You're my first customer since I took over. Think of it as a starting out bonus!" Laughing lightly, Heath waved it off quickly. He didn't want to charge Garrus, not for anything. The only thing he could ever want from the other was a date, but he didn't think that would ever happen except in his dreams. It was a shame that he wouldn't get the big payday he had hoped for, but that was life, right?
Heath hummed to himself as he looked over the order he had been given. Someone official looking had come in earlier and dropped off two Pokeballs, with instructions to breed them. He had been worried at first, because he really didn't know if this sort of thing happened often or not, but after a bit he had put his own reservations aside and gotten things tided up from last week. These Pokemon were ones he had never owned before. Some Ice Type with a scary face, and a Ditto. The Ditto was a rare treat; even if it wasn't his own, he knew how valuable they were in breeding circles! To be able to use one like this was something he hadn't anticipated to happen so soon, at least not until he was able to catch one himself (if he were ever that lucky).
Still, he moved into the back room before letting the two pokemon out of their Pokeballs. "Good luck on breeding, you two. Take as long as you need. I'll come check on you in a bit." Doing one last look-around to make sure everything was right in the room, Heath exited. Now all he had to do was wait on the Pokemon to finish and he could contact whoever it was to come pick the Pokemon back up. With a small smile, he went back up front to look over the eggs he had for sale and to finish cleaning things up. If he was getting orders like this, then he wanted his sho pto look presentable at all times!

Another week, another breeding. Or, breedings as it were. Usually business was pretty slow and it was all Heath could do to push an egg out the door, but this week things were bopping! He had gotten another request from a Gym Leader! For some reason, the Psychic one had wanted a breeding with his Inkay and Slowbro. The two pokemon had been dropped off earlier that day, and Heath had quickly put them into one of the rooms in the back and let them have some privacy. What could have drawn another Gym Leader to his little shop? Maybe a good review from Garrus? ... Heath wouldn't hold his breath on that one, but it was nice to think about.
The second one was a bit harder, and a bit more mysterious. Some shady fellow had come in, requested a breeding, and just left the Pokemon without so much as a name. It was strange, but the guy's money was good, so Heath didn't question it too much. Only problem was one of them was a Grimer, and they tended to stink up the place pretty bad. He had had to specially clean out one of the back rooms and place down some special wax papers so that they toxic slime from its' body wouldn't stain or eat through his nice floors. In a way, he almost felt bad for the Duskull that was supposed to breed with it. That wasn't any of his business, though. Instead, he just released them both into the room, shut the door and hoped for the best.

Right when Heath thought everything was okay, that everything would go fine, it didn't. The Gym Leader's pokemon had done fine! Worked wonders, even! They had produced two whole eggs, which was more than what Heath had been able to inspire for Garrus. He was already on the fast track to success at this rate, or so he felt! So, packing the delicate eggs up and putting the tired pokemon away, he moved to see just how the other pair had done. He sighed when, before he had even entered the room, the Duskull popped out from the door and eyed him with its one, glowing red eye. He shivered some, then sighed.
"You haven't been in there at all, have you?" Something that his mother told him popped into mind, about how Ghost types would sometimes wander around instead of actually breeding like they were expected to do. With a sigh, Heath stepped back into the storage room, Duskull following him closely, and opened a small fridge. He had the idea to keep a few perishable supplies in here instead of just the little wall safes in the rooms. Taking out a Romantic Mush, Heath offered it to the Duskull, who took it and looked it over.
"It tastes good. Eat it up, then go into the room and make some eggs, okay? Its not nice to keep a lady waiting." Gently, Heath guided the Duskull back to the door as it munched slowly on the mush. With a sigh, he pushed and it went back through the door. Its not like he could actually touch the Ghost type, but it seemed to want to avoid his warm hands enough anyway. Maybe this time would end up better.

this spell you cast on me- its like magic
Another day, another visit to a Breeder's. Novel needed to pick up Sal and Harold, get the Egg he was promised, and then run all the way to Bosky to drop off Harold and Max to Henri. The younger Breeder had wanted them. Even if Novel was a bit reluctant to have his Pokemon become breeding fodder, he knew it would be something that would have happened anyway eventually and he might as well get it over with now. Plus, that Henri was just so cute, Novel sort of wanted to do anything that might earn him a few more brownie points with the young man...
But that wasn't important right now. Stepping up to the counter, Novel greeted the pink haired man behind the counter. There was a bit of short, forced and awkward conversation between the two of them as Heath gathered up his Pokeballs, then the pink haired man pulled out an egg and handed to him. Novel seemed pleased with this, and thanked the man before he turned and started to leave. Yes, this was excellent. He was on time, too, so he was confident he could make it to Henri's without disappointing him. Everything was turning out very nicely.
t was fortunate that the region had many more breeders that had never seen his face before. It might be awkward to show up to one of those really old acquaintances. It was with this in mind that Murdoc slipped in, dressed up much like you'd expect a suburban dad to be - yes, he was wearing cargo shorts that clashed with his bright pink shirt. The best way to hide yourself was to hide in plain sight, after all, and so he moved in to pay for his newfound precious cargo.
The pink hair guy seemed... nice enough. Murdoc was too focused on leaving to remember anything of note outside of the fact that now he had the eggs he needed.
It made Heath happy that he was getting so many orders for things. Earlier that day, he had gotten a request from the Psychic Gym Leader again. He wanted a certain Pokemon bred for him, and had acquired the needed pokemon to do so. All he wanted was for Heath for breed them for him, send the pokemon back, and at least one egg if there were multiple. He was free to keep any extra, which was good news for him! That meant he might be able to sell some of them! Any extra cash was appreciated, especially when he didn't have to wear any of his own pokemon out by breeding them. It also raised his confidence to know that he was able to help Gym Leaders, so that meant he was doing pretty well?
Heath let the two pokemon out of their balls and hummed curiously at them. A Lunatone and a Baltoy... odd. These two didn't actually have any genders, so the fact they would breed together was pretty interesting. A lesser breeder might have even said it was impossible, but Heath didn't know the word! Or, at least, his mom had taught him that you needed a special item to breed Genderless pokemon most of the time. He happened to have it, for instances just like this one! A Incense, which he set in the room carefully and lit, then capped the top again so nothing would fall out. It made a very invigorating scent, which he liked himself, and he could see the two pokemon had perked up some from it.
"You two make lots of nice eggies, okay? I know you two can do it." Heath hummed softly and coaxed the two pokemon into the room together before shutting the door. He had made sure to close the windows extra tight, so the room would fill with the smell in short order and would hopefully encourage the two pokemon to make eggs... however they did it.

[attr="class","rhafielscroll"]Rhafiel had resorted to using a different breeder for once. Axel had been far too busy to suit Rhafiel's normal needs which in turn forced his call to a brand new breeder. The place seemed nice enough and Rhafiel stepped inside, his Liepard standing next to him. Her gaze wandered the world around them, padding a bit away to sniff at a few things in the office. Rhafiel himself stepped up to the counter, leaning heavily on his cane and greeting the person behind the counter.
"I came here to pick up my Cryogonal egg. I believed that I've paid for my breeding in full, but..." Rhafiel noted lightly, pulling out a few more dots and laying them on the counter. "A tip for the kind breeder," he mused. This had been a rushed, last minute request and he wanted to properly compensate the breeder for his work.
When he finally had the egg in his position, he snapped toward Nyx, bringing the Liepard right back to his side as he stepped out and started to make the journey back toward his home. With yet another egg to take care of, he was rather excited. Baby Pokemon were always a source of happiness and endearment for the man.
[OOC: Picking up Rhafiel's Cryogonal egg. Sorry that it took so long and thank you for the breeding!]
Heath hummed, making a pleased sound when he exited the room after the two pokemon had finished. Three whole eggs! That was a lot! And he only had to turn one of those over, which meant he got to keep the other two for himself. He even already had an interested party, too, someone who had mentioned before the breeding that if he had more than one, to contact them to get it. This was turning out great! He called the two tired pokemon back into their balls, then put them and one of the eggs into a basket so someone could come and pick it up.
Next on his agenda was to breed a Ralts. He had been gracious enough to be lent the suitable pokemon by the same two people as before. Up until now, he had kind of just been breeding whatever, so what he wanted was kind of a challenge. Heath had bred pokemon with Hidden Abilities or Egg Moves before, but those had always seemed to be more by chance than his actually trying. This time, he wanted to do it on purpose. It had been very hard to track down exactly what he needed, and he was lucky that both parties had obliged too it. A male Ralts with Telepathy, a rare ability that not all Ralts had. Next was a Litwick, just a regular Female one, but that had special moves only it and a select few other pokemon could pass on to Ralts. It was all very exciting, and the extra effort of it made Heath feel proud of himself and more like a serious breeder.
He took the Pokeballs and went to one of the unused rooms. He needed to clean up the Incense and mess in the one that was just used, so it would be bad to stick two new pokemon in there after all. He let out the two pokemon and gave the Ralts a very light pat on the head. "You two will do great. I'm counting on you." He smiled softly and shut the door. Now to wait.
