Just after picking up one Ralts egg so soon, Novel was already picking up another. Normally he would find such doubles in Pokemon annoying, sometimes to find a good home for (He knew any extra pokemon he might have would be neglected. At least, they would sit around his house and get fat since he wouldn't train them.) But Novel knew his Psychic Types well, and he knew for sure that he would need two of the little devils. It was only his hope that one of them happened to hatch into a Male, else he would be out of luck and have to try again. From the research he had done, Ralts had two evolutionary lines. You could get a Gardevoir from either gender, but you had to have a male to get a Gallade. He needed both if he wanted to strengthen his gym properly.

This visit also had a bonus for Novel. A Lunatone. Lunatone were powerful Psychics that were also part rock. He was pleased to be getting his hands on one, though it made him pine for its 'companion', the sun pokemon Solrock. He was sure he would get one of those in due time, but he was still eager. It seemed like his collection was growing by leaps and bounds every day! Soon enough, he would have everything from his list! It was a thrilling idea. The only possible problem was that he also needed to train and raise each of those pokemon to be at its full potential. Not that he didn't want to do that, it was just a very time consuming task.

Approaching the counter, Novel gave a smile to the pink haired man behind it. "I'm here to pick up my eggs and Pokemon, thank you." He said smoothly. Heath, the owner, nodded and quickly gathered them all out of a box from behind the counter, his two eggs and the four pokeballs. Two of the pokeballs were his, but two had been lent to him and he needed to return the as quickly as possible. Nodding to Heath, Novel took his new eggs and tucked them away like he always did before leaving.

AND IT'S DARK ON A COLD DECEMBER,

He never really expected himself to be the type to go out of his way to pick up a Pokemon egg, especially not one of a Pokemon that wasn't approved by his mother. Then again he didn't really care all that much when the Pokemon egg in question was one that looked like the moon and sort of glowed. A Lunatone would be a great addition to his team, no matter what she said. He'd make sure the pretty Pokemon felt right at home... Even if home was just a dingy apartment at the moment. Stepping into the breeding center he was kind of amazed that it was this nice. He'd never actually been in one before...

Stepping up to the counter he wondered what sort of etiquette he would need for picking up this egg... He'd called ahead so there was supposed to be one here waiting for him. Altair just didn't want to be presumptuous and pick one up. Especially if he ended up getting the wrong one. "Hello. My name is Altair Caelum and I am here for the Lunatone egg I inquired about over the phone." It didn't seem too formal of an introduction to him but there were people uncomfortable with the way he spoke for some reason. It didn't make sense since it was the way he was raised but he also knew that some people had the tendency to resent him just for his namesake. Not that it made much of a difference when he was broke. 

It wouldn't make any difference here though. It was highly unlikely that the breeder that ran the establishment even knew who he was. After all it wasn't like he was someone famous. Just a guy with a last name the same as a ruined CEO's. He could be anyone on the street. At least that's what he often told himself in order to make himself feel better. If his mother knew he was thinking that way she would scalp him, or rather verbally assault him until he knew better. She wouldn't actually want to risk his marketabilty as a husband for some woman one day when she found one that supposedly suited him. When she said that of course she meant when she found one with a fat wallet and a good family name willing to blend families to save the Caelum name to an extent.

i want to break away and take the leap

It was time for the weekly breeding, which Heath was pretty behind on! He had been so busy the last week that he had almost forgotten about it. In fact, if he hadn't had some customers in asking for some specific pokemon, he wouldn't have done them at all! Someone had demanded 'birds', whatever that meant, and dropped off a Tranquill and Golduck. Another was a Gym Leader who frequented, who asked for psychic types. With a little sting pulling and favor calling, he had gotten two previous clients to drop off a Sigilyph and a Munna. With these, he would be able to breed!

Gently, Heath ushered the pokemon into the rooms. It was always nerve wracking to have Pokemon breed, but at least this week it seemed like it would be okay. He just hoped it was smooth sailing, because he really didn't have much more time this week to try again, and he was very busy. Lots of orders, lots of promises, not a lot of time. Plus, taking care of his own pokemon on top of that... sometimes being a breeder could be a real headache. At least for now all he had to do was wait and see if any eggs were laid.
