PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Its not so much that he has an impressive height or even that his build is anything to write home about. For Altair its all about how he's learned to carry himself. Shoulders back, head forward he looks like he should be on the top floor of a CEO building telling Sanders that if he doesn't get his act together he's going to be fired. Instead though he's at an office being leered at because he doesn't know how to turn it off and people think that he's trying to project bigger than he is. When he was first starting out in his elective at boarding school he managed to flip a piece of hot metal on accident and the result was a cut over his lip that ended in scarring. When his mother heard about it she threatened to sue the school but he managed to convince her that in the long run it would help. After all scars meant experience didn't they? She told him to say that he got the scar in a more dignified manner and so very few people actually know how he got it now. He's started just letting other people assume what they want and there are even rumors that he got it in a fight. Not that he would be able to do jack in a real fight. He wants a tattoo but the fear that his mother would find out has stopped him for years. PERSONALITY Born and raised with the abilities of a gentleman of money he's not really built to fit in with people that weren't. Most of what he knows is so deeply ingrained in his being that its second nature for him to toss a napkin over his lap during dinner and for him to scowl lightly at uncouth talk. He wasn't always like this and in his younger years he even delved into attempting to being his own person but that was met with swift re-education towards the finer arts and he was back to carrying himself with an air of importance that usually causes people to think that he sees himself higher than they are when really he just doesn't know any other way to carry himself. He's afraid to let himself be anything other than what his mother molded him to be.  He wants to be so much more though. He wants to listen to the music his mom calls a disgusting depravity and he wants to dance to it too. He wants to wear those short as heck shorts that you see in the store because they look comfortable as all get out. Who cares if they have writing across the butt? Maybe he wants someone to read it? She doesn't know. She doesn't know him at all. Gosh darn it he wants to walk around in his pajamas and eat ice cream out of the tub... But he's not going to. The risk of her finding out or walking in on something like that is way too great and he doesn't want her to think that all those years of education were an absolute waste. All of this being said he's got impeccable manners and will hold the door for anyone, even if it means holding it as a massive group of people consistently go in and out while in the back of his mind he sits and yells at himself to just close the dang door already because he's been standing here for five minutes and pretty soon someone is going to think that this is his actual job or something. For all his outward gentry he's always got a little voice in the back of his mind telling him that all of this is just a bunch of bullcrap and that he doesn't have to do any of this anymore. Unfortunately fear outweighs that little voice by a country mile and more often than not he ignores it entirely. Despite his mother hating it he's good with mechanical things and metal things. He's usually reluctant to admit that he's interested in things other than trying to rebuild a business that his father ran into the ground and doesn't talk about the fact that tinkering with things and gear at interpol makes him a million times happier than he ever was learning about business expenses and how to tell if someone was overspending. The skills come in handy though whenever he needs to get special prices and doesn't want to pay full price and he's grateful for that. Mainly because he can't afford to pay full price for the personal projects he likes doing here and there. Being told his entire life that they would find the perfect girl for him to marry he doesn't really notice when people are attempting to communicate romantic intentions towards him. He was told that anyone who was interested in him needed to prove that they were actually worthy of someone from his bloodline and to not to "mingle with curs", whatever that means. The one time he did recognize it from boarding school he was unsure about how to act and when his father gave him advice it was probably some of the worst advice ever. With the advice to act with indifference and cockiness it didn't really work out well. Mainly because he was really bad at it. He had no real interest in her to begin with so the indifference wasn't the hard part. It wasn't until he was actually taught to behave like he was better than everyone else did the secondary part actually work as his father told him it would. He didn't like it though. At all. Now he just tries to keep to the first part though the one other time it happened and he noticed he acted with a haughty amusement instead as a natural reflex. God does he hate himself in romance. Ambitions: Reclaim his family home and rebuild his family fortune, though he's not sure if that's what he wants or what his mother wants. HISTORY Altair's mother constantly told him that he was born for greatness. His breeding was impeccable and his fortune was assured because of her good bloodlines and his father's money. So long as he stayed on the path that she made for him there would be no chance for failure. At least that's what she thought. What she didn't really count on was the fact that he started off in a public school, his father thinking that the education he got on how to behave at home to be enough. At first he stuck to what they told him. He kept his head high and didn't really intermingle much with anyone that wasn't on the approved friends list that his parents reviewed every so often depending on the kids parents. That was until he met Tarquinn, otherwise known as the problem child his mother wish he'd never met. He was probably the best worst influence in Altair's life and the cause of a shift in his balance. There was always the nagging feeling in the back of his brain now that he could be so much more, not that he ever really acted on it. Well, once he did. And once was all it took before his mother had him shipped off to a boarding school as far away from Quinn as she could possibly manage. It was in that time that his father decided that drinking, gambling and prostitutes were the way to assure his families fortune and while they could no longer afford more than the education he was receiving he was none the wiser that their family was spiraling into ruin. Well until the parents of the other students started talking. He heard whispers behind his back that he was going to be removed from school and that even if he did he wouldn't have a home to go back to.  He tried to ignore them and threw himself into his studies. So much so that he sort of got careless one day in his electives and causing a hot piece of metal to fly into his face, leaving a scar. His mother so upset at the schools "lack of consideration" almost pulled him out but he knew that if he left the school he wouldn't be able to go to another one. Especially not another one that would give him as many benefits as this. He continued with the metal working and electronics classes but due to his mother's pushing focused more on things that were more befitting of a gentleman of his breeding. He noticed that she'd stopped using station whenever referring to why he should do things, mainly because their family name had little to no weight any longer. Still eventually he graduated and with nothing to go home to he realized that he would have to find an actual job. His mechanical skills got him small jobs and after sending in resume's to a few places his grades and skills got him noticed by Interpol. He was hesitant at first but eventually decided it was better to make money and maybe gain a little bit of a name back by working with them.
