He noted the discomfort on Kouji's face. What in blazes was going on? He took a deep breath, seeming a bit uncomfortable with the sudden awkward silence and the tense way the air had drifted. The atmosphere had changed, everything was new, tense... It wasn't a good thing. He would ask his question, and he would answer with a flat "Yeah". It was a harsh tone, uncharacteristic of Joshua as he felt a deep scowl cross his face on the mention of what that monster had done to Izumi. He felt his hands ball into fists, and his body tremble as his knuckles turned white from squeezing, as the anger only rose from thinking about it all over again. That monster... There was only one person who Joshua would ever wish death upon, and it was that masked fellow from Richissime. And the only person who, in Nue... He would kill without hesitation. Nobody put their hands on Izumi. NOBODY! He could feel himself seething, just re-living it all again in his head. But he needed to relax. He would take a breath, closing his eyes as he would unclench his fists slowly.
He would tilt his head as Kouji told his story. Being able to see visions? Yet, it made sense with the rest of his story... And he would slowly nod. "I... I see..." He said. "And you saw Richissime..." He whispered, biting his lip.

Kouji could only guess what was going through his companion’s mind; but that foreboding feeling he’d picked up on earlier had returned, if but for a brief moment. He could only stare outright at Josh as he felt this chill pass through him—what had truly happened over at where they were located back in Richissime? He then nodded with an uncharacteristically dark glower flickering through his eyes for the briefest of moments, before he clenched the arm rest of the chair that he was parked in, the better to regain his composure. The Breeder then took another breath in order to be able to calm himself down, before picking up where he’d left off.
“I only saw the briefest of what had happened, but… I take she’s okay now?” he asked in a rather strained voice. He hadn’t seen his first boss around as of late; he’d been wondering why this was such. He knew that she was busy running the Izakaya over in Shui; but asides from that, how was she really coping after that debacle had taken place. “She’s… well, she’s not acting strange, is she? No side-effects?” he continued, before looking over at where Josh was, attempting to regain some semblance of calmness.
“I—well, can you keep an eye on her? Just to be on the safe side?” he added, his voice barely a whisper. “I hate that I can’t do anything too much after I see these visions… they just plague me quite a bit. It helps if I manage to find out who’s in it and talk to them about it... but seeing as I don’t want to alarm her, the best thing I could think of was to talk to you instead,” he added with another sigh, before looking around—hoping that there was nobody else around to observe their exchange; he really hated being watched whenever he was bringing up certain subjects (like that of his unusual ability).

This obviously wasn't something that Josh had cared to relive. Richissime had been one of the hardest days of his life since leaving Kohaku. It had brought back so many foul memories that he just didn't want to think of anymore. Those flashbacks caused by the stress, the feel of danger, the evil human beings advancing on him with harmful intent... It reminded him oh so much of his past, one he wanted to forget, and he had become someone that he never wanted to see again. He wasn't a killer. No, not anymore. That survivalist side of him was gone, or so he liked to think. He was a normal Trainer now, not some paranoid survivalist that would have his Pokemon use deathly force to survive, and he himself willing to kill people or even Pokemon in order to preserve himself and his team. Sure, it had paved the way for the reason why he cared about them so much, and why he would constantly put himself in harms way for them.... But... He had the benefits, he didn't want the drawbacks. No thank you.
He would nod. Kouji had seen a bit of Richissime... And he let out a sigh. "She's fine. Somehow, she doesn't remember a thing" He would reveal. "Perhaps... That's for the best. But I'll watch for her. Its the least I can do after all this. I care about her way too much to let her get hurt again..." He would whisper softly, closing his eyes.

“…and I think you have your answer,” he began, after observing Josh rather carefully, wondering what was going through the mind of the male in front of him. Kouji couldn’t read minds; he could only see fragmented visions of what appeared to be either the past or the future. Either way, his own innate ability was starting to creep him out too. After he’d taken a deep breath and willed himself to calm back down, he then reached out one of his arms and clapped it against the younger man’s shoulder. “Chin up, Josh. At least… you now know what to do,” he continued with this rather knowing look glinting in his eye.
But the question still remains… how are you going to handle her confession, should she come clean and admit her feelings to you? he continued to himself in the back of his mind, before feeling his own pocket vibrating. “Oh, wait. Give me a few minutes,” he remarked, before standing up and snatching up his phone and skimming through it, the better to figure out what had caused the vibration. “Oh, shoot. I completely forgot about that,” he remarked, more to himself as a look of concern passed over his face. He then turned back to his companion before saying, “Shit, I know I wanted to share what else I could, but I just got a call from the Dome, the one over in Tyntill. Seems that some of the local Pokémon denizens there are going berserk,” he said with a sheepish look on his face.
“Sorry to cut our meeting a bit short, but I’ve got to get going. Those Water-types are going to tear the place down if one of us Breeders doesn’t show up and calm the siege,” he apologized, before reaching into his jacket again and sliding Josh a calling card. “If you want to talk to me, there’s my private number, you can reach me there. Now, if you’ll please excuse me…” he trailed off, before quickly pocketing his phone and departing from the premises, the better to catch the next train to Tyntill.
