It had been a few days ever since they’d gotten back from their latest jaunt in the Ruins; with Josh finding something—and her own luck suddenly turning and flopping back on its face and smacking her with another unceremonial monkey wrench that had been dropped from the heavens. She’d decided to just go on ahead to the Ruins and wait for him here, but not without leaving him a message before departing from their place in the Wilds and travelling towards another region of the Ruins which they hadn’t explored yet. Her mood was rather…dour, so to speak; and she wasn’t one for too many words (in fact, the message she’d left in his voice mail sounded rather clipped) ever since her luck had taken a turn for the definite worse.
Several hours later, she’d arrived at yet another entrance to the Ruins that were looming right ahead of her, and promptly made her way over to where the entrance was and parked herself there, sitting down and hiding her face in her knees. She wasn’t too keen on talking to anyone; she just wanted to continue exploring and look for more of those pretty-walled rooms that she’d seen the last time they had come out here. I know that Professor Symphonia would love the pictures of the room I’d discovered. Oops, that reminds me, I better get to return the material I’d borrowed. I did promise him that I’d drop by in his new base of operations once he’d relocated out here… she mused to herself, writing a mental note to visit the Professor much later after this was done.

Ah, cruel irony. The same thing that had happened to Izumi had happened to Josh just before. Of course, the shoe was on the other foot now, with Josh having grabbed himself a Houndoominite, while Izumi found herself a smashing pit. A few days had passed, and Josh was on the hunt for mega stones. In particular, whatever stone Yumi had used to cause her Charizard to turn into... Whatever that insane looking black Charizard was. But considering his luck? Pfft, fat chance.
Regarless, he knew that Izumi was in a bad mood considering the last time. He still owed her a full on date, apparently. This time, he had brought flowers in hopes that it would cheer her up. Heading up, he would hold said flowers, red roses, similar to the ones from the festival over at the lake, until he found Izumi. He would gently put a smaller flower into her hair from behind, before handing them to her as she would turn, smirking faintly. "Thought I'd help your mood" He teased faintly with a small smile before he headed further into the ruins.

She’d been stuck in the position for a while, she didn’t look up until she saw a certain visage make his appearance—and then felt something stuck in her hair. It felt similar to what had happened in the festival over in Tyntill the last time and then suddenly all she could see was red. It was red roses; and that smelled absolutely fantastic, to be exact. Wondering if he was trying to make up for whatever he’d caused, she then stood up from where she’d parked herself and took the flowers; at this gesture her features softened up a bit. She was loathe to speak up now, because the words that were hanging on her lips were “Really? You shouldn’t have… but then again these flowers are too pretty to waste…” and followed him into the depths of the Ruins, holding the bouquet of roses.
It didn’t take too long before something would happen—in fact, it presented itself in the form of an unceremonious dropping noise! “Ouch!” she suddenly yelped, jumping up and down on the spot and rubbing up her right hand in order to be able to massage the sore area. She could only guess as to what had suddenly decided to drop down and announce its presence, so she then quickly scanned the ground, hoping to look for something that wasn’t too out of place. It didn’t take long before she spotted a marble; but it was twinkling in a rather… mischievous way. “What… oh, really? Is the surplus of magnetism coming back again to haunt me?” she began, with a mischievous look on her face, recognizing whose marble it was. “Keep going, keep going,” she said from behind—she knew that he’d taken the lead and was walking forward this time around.

Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found WISE GLASSES! Some blind dude dropped this. Maybe you should give it back? Lucky you these are just for show, so you can probably sell them off or keep them for yourself to make yourself look smart?

Josh would let out a cheeky chuckle in response to her statement when he put the flower in her hair. "Hey, anything to cheer up a special girl" He cracked with a grin as he would crack his neck. "Besides, best not to waste em. I don't feel like taking another trip just to get more later" He would snark. Ah, it seemed that Snarkinator Josh was back and in full force on this evening. Finally, they would begin their little journey of an exploration.
Before long, Josh would hear Izumi cry out with an "Ouch!" The blonde would turn to look back at her, and saw she'd found some kind of marble. Unfortunately, she'd already seen it before and didn't seem keen on grabbing marbles she already owned. And with that, Josh heard a "CRACK" as he stepped on something...
The blonde would let out a disgruntled groan as he saw what it was. Glasses. More glasses. "Fuck. Me" He stated irritably. It was his turn for bad luck, it seemed.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found ROOT FOSSIL! It's a corpse so old that it turned into a rock. Do you really wanna touch this?

At the moment Josh had mentioned “special”, she felt her own voice get stuck in her throat as she tried to think of a retort. Of course, she was still rubbing the top of her head with her free hand, because seriously whoever dropped the thing on her most probably wasn’t looking where they were throwing their things. She then saw that he’d turned back upon her rather…loud exclamation sometime later, after the weird marble had bonked her atop her head. “I’m fine. Don’t worry about—“ she started to say when she heard a loud cracking noise. Wondering what it was he’d found, she then heard his own… interesting declamation on the object he’d discovered, and couldn’t help but chuckle a bit.
“Damn… that’s horrible…” she said with a sympathetic look on her face, struggling to move the bouquet of roses into a better position in her arms… when she suddenly felt her toe stub itself against something rock-hard. “OW!What the hell?!” she remarked, looking down into the inky blackness and trying to pick out what the hell her left foot had brushed up against. “Josh… care to illuminate the surroundings for us? The lower we go into this place, the darker it gets…” she trailed off, still hopping around on the spot as she tried to pick out what the hell had injured her. Izumi had noticed that the deeper they traversed into the ruins, the darker it was getting—she could barely pick out his silhouette walking slightly ahead of him, at any rate.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC CROWN! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price. It appears to be following someone. Spooky right?

"Okay.... REALLY?!"
This was twice now that Izumi had found, and passed on, something good. What had Josh found? Trash. Broken glasses, cheap antiques that wouldn't fetch much at all. The irritated look on Josh's face was evident, and he would respond by punting this so called "Relic Crown" away. Obviously, he wasn't happy about this situation whatsoever, and could you blame him? Somehow, his luck was just terrible. It was like some kind of RNG god had forsaken him, and was constantly cursing him with horrible luck for kicks. And still, he couldn't find what in the world he was looking for.
The blonde let out an agitated sigh as they kept going. "Alright" He said in response to Izumi's wish to illuminate the room. "Go, Fawkes!" Josh would call as he brought his Charizard out of it's Pokeball. The Charizard would let out a roar and Josh would nod over to Fawkes. "Fawkes, can you light up your tail a little more to give us some light?" He would ask. Fawkes would nod, and the flame on his tail would grow, illuminating their path.

There was actually a reason as to why she was looking for something specific—and that she’d skipped over the weird rock that looked like there was some sort of brains or something growing out of it. Izumi knew that Kouji had one, and that he could procure one for her if she just dropped a note in the special mailbox that he’d installed that had the words “for clientele use” engraved in the front—that was his way of monitoring the priorities when it came to breeding—but right here, right now, she then felt a whoosh of heat; and then looked up to see that Fawkes had made his appearance, cheeky little troublemaker that he was. “Thanks for the heat and light, you big guy,” she said, watching as the Charizard began to march between them.
It didn’t take too long for her to hit something; and when she did actually hit it, it then went sailing down and then smashed upon impact on the cold stone floor. “Definitely not…” she began, waving off the annoyance that was starting to build up in her features. She could only guess as to why they had four chances to look for things per trip, and that they were limited to four trips a month; but she knew that (after doing a mental count) if he didn’t get something good in the next few paces, then they were doomed to settle for whatever the last things they would set their sights on to take out and take home. Maybe now’s about the time I started sacrificing bacon strips to the gods in order to see if their luck would bless me. The chickens are officially on strike… she mused to herself as she continued to inhale the relaxing aroma of the bouquet of roses she was carrying with her, to calm herself down.

"Thanks Fawkes" Josh said to the Charizard as he would get walking. "Groooarrr" Fawkes would let out in response with a nod as the trio would walk. Josh noticed Izumi hadn't mentioned that Lightning was conspicuous by his absence on this trip. Of course, he had brought the Pikachu along, he was just taking a nap in his Pokeball so Josh had decided to let him rest in there. But of course, it wasn't long before he heard the tripping of Izumi, who seemed to be developing a clutz complex as of late.
"You alright down there?" He would ask Izumi as he leaned down to place a gentle, comforting hand on Izumi's shoulder, trying to help her up afterword. "You need to be careful, Izumi. Holy hell" He said as he noticed what Izumi had found. Letting out a sigh, he would help Izumi up and keep moving.
"Hm?" He let out as Josh would notice something shining below him. He would pick it up and..
"Ugh, these things are magneted to us" He muttered as he would pick up the Keystone and pocket it. Considering their limited time... It was best he not take a risk.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Relic Vase! A vase made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.
