He blinked, completely nonplussed—what was wrong with the way he was handling things now? Why wasn’t it working? He then sighed, before realizing that they were nearly out of mushrooms—and his boss had left cash just enough for two! He’d already used one in this botched attempt, and was secretly dreading having to place it on a tab, because how would his boss react to all this? He could only guess that it was the female Horsea that was making things really difficult; because in all honesty, the Slowpoke was just too nice—at least, from his observation. “A’igh, Kai’a, dun’ make me bail out’a heavy artillery,” he said with a smack to his forehead as he approached the “warring pair”… in all honesty it was just the Horsea who was just being downright evil. “Kai’a, eat this, plea’e,” he continued, quickly tossing the weird, funny mushroom at the very volatile Horsea, who then began to eye it quite suspiciously, before taking a sniff and a whiff. “Tha’s it, goo’ girl…” he continued in his “soothing tone”, before feeling a weird vibration go off from his pocket.
He then backed away and left the reconciling Water-types alone as he fished out the mobile and then saw that he was being asked to take care of a special “breeding chain”; and from the looks of things, both of the ‘mons in question were going to be sent to the Ranch for him to take care of. “A’igh, I go’ it,” he continued, quickly heading back to the quarters and then sidling up to the Transporter, watching as two loud dings went off; and deposited two different PokeBalls for him to use. Someone wanted to get a certain ‘mon and was apparently going for certain moves; so this was going to be his first actual experience with “chain breedings”. The first PokeBall contained another Unova native that he was quite familiar with—having seen it countless times in all of the cheesy horror movies he’d seen; a Cofagrigus. The other one was apparently related to his boss’ “main” Pokémon, because he could… sort of make out what it was; and made sure to avert his gaze from the single red spot that was its eye.
He then walked back outside and then quickly sent out the two—and his suspicions were confirmed; the Cofagrigus then attempted to grab him with its ethereal hands; while the dead-pan Dusclops just… hovered right in front of him. “Uhh… okay… ye go’ a job ta do. Someone is looking fo’ a certain ‘mon, an’ you two are gonn’ help. Please be nice, okay?” he asked the two, bowing quite respectfully in their direction—he didn’t want to ire the Ghost-types too early now did he.

After being able to pull off the requested order without a hitch—and already marking one of the Duskull / Cofagrigus eggs as reserved to a certain anonymous individual (and doing the same with two of the three eggs that had finally bore fruit) he then got another text from his boss who was still overseas in another region. This time, it was going to be between two Electric-types; at least he didn’t have to get himself all wet for this attempt. “Ahh, Shi’x an’ Ele’trike, hm?” he said thoughtfully as he headed out—he knew that they had to be around the Ranch somewhere—but where exactly would they be? After some time spent in searching for the two Electric-types, he finally found them, lounging together and just not doing anything.
“Eh, so here y’ are,” he said, scratching his head sheepishly. “Well, some’un wants a Shi’x, so… please be nice to each other?” he continued with a sheepish grin on his face; before quickly placating the rather surprised Electrike, since he’d just been awoken from a nap. The Shinx, playful as ever, was still running around, chasing its own tail in circles. “Try not ta kill each otha’,” he ended as the two were now properly acquainted with each other—he knew that the guy who was looking for a Shinx wasn’t in a hurry; but all the same, he knew that his boss had sent the blonde-haired guy (Josh) a note to come by and pick up all of the ‘mons he’d requested for breeding—and there was also a small record book that had the information of all the other ‘mons that had apparently gone missing from the other person’s Ranch, too.

Gah, he was late on the blasted shipment. And he knew it too. After the fire that had destroyed all those files and sent the younger Pokemon scurrying, Josh had been in panic mode to make sure that he didn’t do any accidental “releasing”. Things had started to calm down and Josh had enough time to pick up the shipment.
He had borrowed his mother’s truck this time. Sadly his first time driving it, but it was good for throwing eggs and Pokemon in there safely. He would pull up, obviously nervous about driving this massive fucking thing. He couldn’t carry all these eggs he’d been late on the pickup for all by himself, like he usually did. He was going to have to come get them all at once in a truck and drop them all off at the ranch. Josh had an agreement with Kouji to discuss billing later.
Getting the attention of an assistant, Josh pulled out the list. “So uh, I’m… INCREDIBLY late on the last few shipments, so uh…. Yeah, if I could just give you this list, tell Kouji that Josh Dragomir is here to pick up the eggs, and load them into the truck, I’d be grateful” he said, scratching his head. After awhile, the eggs would be loaded up. The list had stated….
Horsea (Egg) Slowpoke (Egg) Seel (Hatched, EM Disable) Trapich (Hatched, let Kouji know I’d be willing to buy a Joltik if there’s an egg spare as well) Chimchar (Hatched, EM Thunder Punch) Magby (Hatched) Numel (Hatched)
Once it was loaded up, he would nod in thanks. “Alright, thanks. Tell Kouji to text me about the planned payment” he said as he drove away with the eggs and Pokeballs.

[attr="class","lacetag"]Kouji
Erin walked through vaguely familiar streets on her way to an establishment she'd never gotten around to visit. Sakuraba Ranch stood a bit far from Undella's main plaza, and this time the young lady knew to avoid the place by any means possible. She definitely did not want to get caught up in the crowds and end up lost two metres above water level. Not again. Besides, she thought, the sooner she arrived at her destiny point, the sooner she could go back and give her young friend her little surprise. Seeing an old face was also a big plus, when said face was that of an agreeable acquaintance.
At last, Erin had made it to the town's outskirts, where she knew Kouji's workplace to be. The ranch she was looking for stood before her in no time, and she entered with a curious glance through the glass doors. Pure coimcidence would let her meet the silver-haired man, heading towards the same door she had entered from.
She smiled in an almost apologetic manner. It was a light, barely noticeable smile, but it would have shone to the eyes of anyone who knew her better. In other words, only a handful of people, out of which none were present. "My friend couldn't come over this time," she explained. "I decided to take advantage of this opportunity to visit your ranch, seeing as I didn't manage to do so the first time." Erin stopped, letting the person she had called no more than two days ago assimilate her arrival while she took in the vastness of the breeder's establishment.
"I hope you won't mind—won't be too busy to—give me a tour around?"

Now that his time in Kalos was up, Kouji here decided to return to Unova—because he’d gotten a message sent to him (which most likely came from the Pokémon League itself, since it was all official and spiffy) saying that since his establishment had reached a milestone in the number of breeding requests fulfilled—specifically, fifty—he was now free to breed up to three times per week! Now that the month of October was drawing to a close, he decided to oversee the next expansion of the Ranch he was currently owner of—because his own benefactor still kept on catching various other specimens in order to raise and make stronger, this also offered him a wider chance to get to learn more about all the other types that existed in the world. Right as he’d gotten out of the shower and had just tossed on his clothing for the day—he saw that through the CCTV systems he’d had installed quite recently; he had visitors!
Thankfully, his assistant was there and was now carting off a various motley band of ‘mons to a preferred client (Josh) and was now helping load them into the truck that was parked outside. He also saw that he had another visitor—a fellow in the “Aquarium Enterprises” that he’d recently agreed to join—not only because a Breeder was indispensable when it came to stocking the aquarium that his fellow was aspiring to build, it would also give him a boost in the business! Now that he was properly clothed and all spruced up for another working day, he then made his way to the front office and saw that Erin was there—and that she was very curious as to how the entire joint was operated. “Heh, of course! I’d be glad to take you on a tour of the place. Just give me a few moments…” he trailed off, quickly snatching up a note pad and scribbling down a few details so that when his assistant got back from loading up the truck, he’d see it right away—and then left the piece of paper on the counter top. Turning his attention back to Erin, he then grinned, “Now, if you’d follow me around the counter and out the doorway…” while gesturing to the door he now held open for her.
Once the assistant had gotten back from assisting Josh with the rather large order he’d come to pick up as a one-time thing, he then saw that there was a piece of paper with some instructions detailed on it—for another breeding! He could only scratch his head, though—because the pair was between a Fire-type and a Water-type; so he could guess that this wasn’t going to end too great… considering that the female was his boss’ benefactor’s Empoleon, who had quite the temperament. The Ponyta that was going to be lent to the Ranch in question had just arrived via the Transporter, so he slowed down to grab it, before picking it up and heading outside in order to look for the head-strong Empoleon who was apparently at the freshwater lake, teaching some of the younger ones how to swim in deep water. He then chuckled as he watched the Empoleon finish the lesson, before whistling and calling Nixe’s attention.
Once the Empoleon had walked over, he then sent out the male Ponyta, before filling her in with the details; and then left them alone to do their own thing!

While his boss was out back—apparently touring the visitor that had come in; he’d gone off and tried to fulfill the breeding request that was left for him to do. Imagine his shock and horror to find out that the pairing didn’t do anything at all. “Tch, wha’s the matt’r wi’ ‘em,” he grumbled as he saw the Chansey peek into the “workshop” part of the Ranch (which Kouji had specially constructed for his quirky assistant to have so that he could continue his hobby in peace), a sign that was never good news. “A’igh, I’m comin’ ou’,” he said, standing up from the work space and then dusting off his hands as best as he could on the back side of his jeans. He then wondered if they still had some more of those funky, yellow-colored mushrooms, and made a mental note to stock up on the supplies again. He then stopped in the middle of the meadow, pondering if they truly did have any more… before realizing that they were just flat out of the funky, yellow produce.
“Ah, shi, I’ll be righ’ back,” he muttered, leaving a bewildered Chansey out on the fields of the Ranch as he then made his way down and out of the Ranch proper and went to the City proper in order to stock up on even more of the funky yellow items. Once he had returned with six of the mushrooms in tow, he then took out one and then held it in his hand—was it just him or was there a slightly nauseating odor about them that made any human who sniffed it want to just throw up or chuck it away from themselves… he then stopped by the store room on his way back and dropped off the paper bag that contained the extra five mushrooms he’d gotten as a “buffer stock” just in case he needed to have some “forced ceasefire” episodes with the ‘mons who didn’t want to cooperate. He then walked back out to where the Chansey was patiently waiting; before following her back to the freshwater lake—where the Ponyta was looking quite harassed, simply because his partner had kicked up a lot of water in the process.
“Oy,” was all he had time to mutter as he then approached the proud Empoleon, before casually whistling and feeding her then mushroom. “A’igh’, say sorry ta the Pon’ta, okay?” he whispered in the Emperor ‘mon’s direction, before slowly backing away and watching as the Empoleon then approached the Ponyta again for another reconciliatory attempt…

Whew, this was a crazy load. At least he almost got them all, he thought to himself. Josh walked into the ranch with a Pokeball in hand. He'd made a deal with Kouji about paying for the eggs using a rare Pokemon he'd caught just the other day.
"Hey, is anyone in?" he called until an assistant made their entrance. "Hi, uh... I'm Josh Dragomir, just picking up the rest of the eggs. Shinx, Joltik and Piplup" he said, taking a breath. The assistant would nod, and before long, the eggs would be loaded into the truck again. "Thanks" Josh said, before handing the assistant the Pokeball. "Could you deliver my payment to Kouji? This is the Aerodactyl he asked for. It gave me and Lightning quite a fight on top of a mountain, but... We got it" he said, grinning wide. "Tell Kouji to lemme know when he receives it, and to tell him thanks for the eggs" he said before heading out.

He knew that his boss had decided to take another last-minute vacation to the new-fangled, fancy-pants Kalos region—and was therefore left with dealing with the rest of the orders that was left to his care. Wondering if it was really possible to breed more than twice a week—as that was the norm he was used to—he then texted his boss; and was waiting for a reply when a familiar face arrived; claiming a few more shipments from last time. “A’igh, su’e, lemme help ya,” he said with a grin, quickly rushing to and fro, helping the scruffy, six-foot tall individual load up several more orders (he apparently had a few more to return to) and was surprised when a Safari Ball was left on the counter after helping the client load up everything. “Ach, I’ll le’ ‘im kno’,” he said, giving a grin and watching as the truck then drove away with its precious load. As he then turned to return inside, he saw that the phone he’d left on the counter was ringing, and he then picked it up.
After conversing with his boss for a few minutes, he then reached for another piece of scrap paper along with a pen, before writing down the details of the next two breeding requests that he needed to get to. After finishing the phone conversation, he then looked at the paper again and then took the Safari Ball with him, with full intent on sending the Aero to fly out in the sky above the Ranch as he began looking for the ‘mons that he was going to breed—apparently this “Josh” was a returning client, and had a ton of Pokémon on his wish list—which was mostly available due to his boss’ benefactor having such a large pool of ‘mons to use! The first pair that he set out to search for was the Lairon and Comet—the latter already in his hands (since he’d decided to go to the far northern regions of the Ranch first in order to retrieve the female Snover). Sometime later, he’d found the Lairon near the Grappling Rock, and therefore let the Snover jump from his arms in order to examine Arion with much interest.
“A’igh, ye two b’ nice, ‘kay?” he said, scratching his head quite sheepishly before leaving the two alone. The next pair he would find without much difficulty—he saw that Kouji’s own Mareep was admiring the Ampharos; while the Sandshrew was hovering quite tentatively near the two Electric-types. “H-hey,” he began, inching forward and watching as the Sandshrew and Mareep now circling each other… “We’, th’s ‘s sur’isin’,” he said with a smirk as he then left the other pair to their devices…

Since his boss was off in the fancy-fangled region where he was digging up weird marbles, he was left to pick up most of the orders that were coming in. one of them was for a client of theirs—and he was asking for the recently-caught Torchic to be bred! That was easy, of course, the problem here was—it was male. And the assistant was apparently already learning about this so-called “egg moves” business as well and could only chuckle sympathetically; because having a Torchic set up the same way as the Empoleon attempt he’d done some time ago would’ve been amazing—having possibly inherited Agility; a good move to have no matter what the situation. In fact, he then saw the Transporter go off, dropping in a Safari Ball—freshly caught from the Safari Zone, it seemed. After stopping by the machine and picking it up, he then decided to go outside and began searching for one of the twin Ponytas that were running around the Ranch. He didn’t know that one of them was originally a male; but that was neither here nor there.
In any case—after catching sight of a blur that was running around at full gallop, he then decided to whistle as loudly and as shrilly as he could; and after chasing around the red blur (that was apparently racing with her twin) he’d managed to catch up with one of the two—the other having gone off at a full gallop, just to drive her mad. “H-hey, ye got’a stop runnin’ aroun’ so m-much,” he panted, bent over double as one of the two female Ponyta twins eyed him curiously. “A’yway, this ‘ere is…” he trailed off, suddenly unsure if the Torchic had a nickname or not. “We’, in any case, this To’chic’s here to play with you…” he continued, quickly sending out the male specimen that had just been sent in—apparently the owner (one Josh Dragomir) would be coming by again within the week to grab all of the next batch of orders—and he then heard his mobile phone beeping. After fishing it out and checking what the message contained, he then whistled, before turning back to the two.
“A’ight, don’t kill each oth’a,” he said with a mischievous grin as he then backed away in order to be able to leave the two alone to do their thing in peace.
