Kouji could only hiss out of surprise—just what was happening to the ‘mons he was trying to breed? The moment he’d spotted his Chansey waddling in his direction, looking absolutely distressed, he then sighed—before pulling himself out of the plush chair where he was now reading another book he’d picked up from the local library in Bayonada. “Alright, I know. Let me get there shortly,” he said, crossing the room with several quick strides before heading down the corridor and stopping by the store room. Once he’d snatched up the brown paper bag—and noted that they were running dangerously low in terms of supplies—he then re-emerged several moments later, holding one of the funny-smelling mushrooms.
“Sometimes they need to see things the hard way,” he muttered, before quickly crossing the corridor again and opening the back door that led out to the Ranch proper. It didn’t take him too long before he found the arguing couple; splashing water in each others’ faces. “Whoa, whoa, whoa, HEY! Simmer down, both of you!” he shouted, quickly separating the aggravated Luvdisc from the Barboach, who was flashing its fins rather angrily. “Calm the hell down, you two! Here, have something for nerves…” he trailed off, quickly dropping the mushroom between them, before giving his Luvdisc a rather… pointed look. “Ai, please behave… or would you want me to give you the mushrooms instead?” he said with a rather uncharacteristic glower in his eyes, before he then left the two to reconcile and try once more.

He was surprised to hear word from Darren that the reconciliation attempt had netted them three fabulous eggs; and he knew right away that he’d succeeded again—but with the help of the mushrooms. Getting too dependent on these things is hazardous to one’s health… he thought to himself with a dark look in his eye; twinkling for a few moments as he then discreetly emptied his pockets into the paper bag where the lone mushroom available for the Ranch was now waiting to be used; and a bunch (read: four) more were added. He knew that at this point, he didn’t have to buy any for a while… now the problem was what was he going to breed next? He knew that his first boss had already reserved one of his potential slots next week ‘if in case shit mucks up and I need to go for a plan B’, according to her words; while Josh had secured the final slot for the week.
“What to… oh, I know…” he muttered with a grin, secretly thankful that Darren wasn’t around—he’d asked his assistant to drop off the clutch of eggs to the Bubble Dome. He just wasn’t too sure about having the eggs delivered via the Transporter—what if they got lost along the way? He then whistled as he chuckled, looking at his Safari Ball as he then inputted a series of commands—apparently the Aquarium had acquired some ‘free parents’ for them to use in the meantime.
His fellow Breeder had taken off somewhere without warning, so he knew that it was high time to pick up the slack! “Time to get these weird birds…” he muttered, waiting for the contraption to go off. Several moments later, he was now clutching two containment units in his hands; one of them was his own Aerodactyl, Myrsky—while the other one contained something that looked like… a sea gull?!
Several minutes later, he’d sent out his rather temperamental Aerodactyl, who was now hovering behind him and watching as the smaller bird shot out from the beam of red light—Kouji had to blink a few times, just to make sure he was seeing things right. How in the eighteen Arceus forms is Sky going to breed with this girl? Eat her alive?! Were his initial thoughts—but he knew that one of Sky’s recently-picked up moves (and he had absolutely no idea how the hell the Aero had learned Wide Guard without his knowledge) was a potential move that the little precocious sea gull could acquire.
“Sky. Please be nice to her, okay? Don’t eat the thing alive. Otherwise, you know what’s going to happen…” he said with a knowing glint in his eye as he then left the two avians… well, one avian and one prehistoric, living fossil alone for some ‘getting to know each other’ time.

After getting word from Darren that his Aerodactyl had managed to pull off the feat (although there was just a single egg, he would take whatever was offered) he then decided to get to Josh’s requested breeding. Why one of the preferred clients was looking for a Sandile, he could only guess, but he was lucky enough to have a Krookodile of his own readily available so that he didn’t have to outsource or borrow from his fellow Breeders if in case things got a bit hairy. Once he’d asked his assistant to cart away the avian egg to the Bubble Dome in Tyntill, he then decided to get this last bit of business finished before settling down for the weekend!
It wasn’t until he’d almost gotten his Krookodile ready and prepped did he realize something—that Sandiles could potentially pick up on some great moves! After making sure to double-check and confirmed with his assistant (who was now on the road somewhere) that his female Smeargle was good to go did he get the courage to continue with the crazy plan. “First… some borrowing…” he muttered, heading over to the Transporter and then inputting some certain commands. Several minutes later, two containment units appeared—he’d decided to borrow a few more before going through with the crazy plan.
Once he’d found his Smeargle out lazing away on the grounds of his ranch, he then sent out the first borrowed acquisition—a Gastly he’d nicked from Josh’s little ‘army’ just for this little instance. “Uhh… okay. So… can you please give Araki over here your Mean Look a demonstration? While you’re at it, try to make it as convincing as possible,” he added, chuckling as the Smeargle stood ready, paintbrush of a tail wiggling.
Once the Mean Look demonstration had been committed to memory, he then quickly recalled the Gastly before sending out the second one, and he then heard a loud thumping sound hit the grass. “I remember you… uhhh, can you kindly show Araki here your Counter thing?” he asked the genteel-looking Cacnea, who then looked at him in confusion—before obliging the Breeder with a short demonstration.
After the Counter status move had been committed to memory as well, he then recalled the Grass-type before finally whistling as loud as he could manage. “Yo, Hiekka!” he shouted, squinting out at the grounds; before hearing the sound of something…headed his way. Once the Krookodile had ambled into view, he then gestured to the Smeargle, tail still wiggling. “Don’t eat her. Just… make her feel comfortable, okay?” he said, before turning around and leaving the two alone…

He strolled into the shop not unlike the way he has the many times before, another day, another delivery. The white ranger was once again running errands for a far-off friend. This time it was an interesting breed, Smeargle. On it's own, Smeargle was pretty much useless in battle, however it's sole signature ability to copy almost any move used by another Pokemon allowed for some crafty creations, and even with horrible battle strength, it's uses in the non-combat area are immense. For a moment, he wondered just who this one was going to...
Picking up a Smeargle egg, Izumi you are too kind to me
Belle looked around at the peculiar ranch, she had to admit it was a rather strange place, but the girl was very curious I wonder what sort of pokemon are here, guess I should just grab the first egg I see and wait and see what I get, I hope it’s a super cool rare legendary pokemon[/i] she thought to herself, belle picked up the big poke egg, and approached the peculiar person “here you go MR $25 pokedots, and don’t worry I promise not to poach the pokemon egg” she spoke paying for the pokedots, belle walked out With the weird egg one foot widely in front of the other.

It was the start of a brand new week—and Darren had woken up to find that there was a note on the counter; it was from his boss! Wondering as to where he’d gone off to, he then chuckled sheepishly, before snatching up the record book and then taking a good peek inside. He knew that there were some scheduled breeding requests coming in from the Aquarium this week; and since his boss’ fellow Breeder had gone off on a vacation in the meantime, he knew that it was up to them to pick up the slack.
Now, the first order of business was to breed some of the weird blue crabs that were called Clauncher. After inspecting his boss’ rather slanted handwriting and seeing that there was something about an ‘egg move’ or some such scribbled underneath it, he then knew that there was something up.
As always, Boss wants to spread egg moves… why don’t I get started with today’s request so that we can get to fulfilling the rest ‘a them… he thought with a furtive look in his eye as he then walked over to the Transporter and then punched in the special code that linked him directly to the Aquarium’s storage. After retrieving the pink fish that was the spawn of his boss’ own pink spiky fish, he then walked out to the back, before looking around as to where the weird crab that his boss had was located. He first checked the man-made lake; no dice.
Only when he got the courage to check the Ranch’s beach access did he find the little crab, lounging lazily in one of the naturally-formed pools of water near the shoreline. “Ach, ‘kay, le’s do this,” he began, quickly releasing the Corsola from its containment unit. Watching as the pink fish landed in the water with a splash, he then crouched down to stare at the Clauncer squarely in the eye.
“A’igh’, Boss wan’s ye t’ b’ nice ta each oth’r. Can y’ do tha’ for me?” he began, giving the Clauncher a reassuring pet; before gesturing to the female spiky coral-like fish. He then stood up before turning around and leaving the two Water-types alone…

Darren then heard a loud, distressed cry coming from what he guessed was his boss’ Chansey, and he could only groan—because once he heard any shouts of distress, it was an automatic thing: the breeding attempt hadn’t gone too well. He then sighed as he climbed out of the tall stool near his work place in the recently-converted room that had once been the Aquarium, and made his way over to the store room, fishing out one of the mushrooms from the rather crumpled-looking paper bag that had a rather rubbery, funny smell wafting from it.
As he came out of the store room, he then came across the distraught-looking Chansey, before he brushed the pink Egg ‘mon’s forehead with his free hand. “A’igh’, a’igh’, I know… I’m headed out th’re t’ get ‘em straight’ned ou’,” he began with a reassuring tone, before heading for the door that led out to the Ranch grounds. It took him several minutes of prowling up and down the oceanic shore line until he found a rather huffy-looking Clauncher, its back facing the distressed Corsola. “Oy,” was all he had time to mutter, before swiftly dropping the funky rubber mushroom between the two.
“Pl’se b’have y’selves,” he began, looking first at the Clauncher, before glancing at the Corsola. “Don’ ma’e thi’ hard’r than ‘t already is,” he continued, before leaving the two alone for some reconciliatory ‘private time’…

Once he’d gotten word that the breeding attempt had succeeded, Kouji then went through with the rest of the planned breeding requests for the week! He knew that a single bird produced from last week’s breeding attempt with his own Myrsky had already hatched and was pretty much flying around the Bubble Dome’s facilities now; and he wanted to add on to the little bird’s population. Wondering if there was anyone who was visiting today, he then began to punch in a series of codes into the Transporter order to retrieve the little bird; hopefully he didn’t disturb its aerial saunter!
Must get more birds to the Bubble Dome, must get more birds to the Bubble Dome… he thought with a fervent glint in his eye as he then heard the contraption going off, before a loud clattering noise announced its presence. Seeing that there was a Dive Ball waiting for pick-up, he then quickly snatched it up before heading out to the back (he’d already sent Darren off to deliver the Clauncher egg to Tyntill earlier today so he had the entire place to himself for the day) and making headway towards where the man-made fresh water lake stood.
It didn’t take him too long to find his own Koralli lounging in the shallow surf, before he sent out the Wingull and watched as it took flight in a flash of red light. “Whoa… I just realized something…” he muttered to himself with a sheepish grin as the Corsola looked at the Wingull rather curiously. How the hell are these two going to breed if one of them keeps flying around?! He thought with a sheepish look on his face. “Alright, Koralli… try not to fly too high with the Wingull, okay?” he began, gesturing and watching as the Water-type that was also Flying took off, circling around him a few times before landing on the lake’s shores. “Please be gentle to each other, okay?” he added, hoping that his harebrained plan would eventually work…

Gah, late again.
Working on the house and trying to find a way to talk to Izumi about... Recent events, had left the blonde busy. It took him two weeks but he would eventually head over and visit Kouji's part of the ranch, knowing he'd taken care of the egg while waiting for him. He would head into the incubations, but found a pokeball and a note addressed to him instead. Nodding, he would take both and leave.
