Another day, another hunt! Izumi then yawned and stretched—as she decided to go hunting early in the morning, who knows if the one she was looking for would decide to make its appearance this time. Besides, are they diurnal or nocturnal? She thought as she was carrying a similar team this time; the Dratini and Elekid were coming along for the ride once again—along with the same four ‘mons she’d had from before. Mostly it was going to be training the two young ones that she’d brought along, as the other four were too trained (and subsequently too spoiled) to ‘get their hands dirty’ looking for something for their mistress—and besides, she was looking for another viable tag-team to eventually train up together.
Wonder if Electabuzz and Dragonite cooperate well… she thought to herself as she began trudging once again through Camphrier’s undergrowth, keeping her eyes and ears peeled for something, anything that looked out of the ordinary. As long as it’s not something I already have… otherwise off to the bank you go again… she thought, knowing that anything good would go to the bank; anything otherwise was going home with her. Now, where to start…?

Her ears perked up at the sound of the undergrowth rustling—only to realize that there was something that looked absolutely horrendous in front of her. It was a dog that had a brush for a tail; and cursing her luck, she then decided to let Fulmine take the stage once again. “Come on out,” she said, quickly lobbing her Elekid’s PokeBall to the sky—and watching as a red light shot out of it, before forming into the miniature ‘power station’. “Elekid, ele~kid!” she heard him call out, before she cleared her throat and then began, “Well, you know the drill, more training for you. Start off with a Thunder Wave, then knock it off its feet with a Quick Attack, go! I doubt it can do anything!” while pointing in the artist-dog’s direction; to which several jolts of electricity were shot out of its head-prongs in approval.
The Elekid then released a quick jolt of electricity and sent it right at the Smeargle; which hit it and was knocked over backwards. To her surprise though, said Smeargle began waving its tail around, as if painting—what did it mean? The Elekid then came in with a sudden burst of speed for its Quick Attack—and the Smeargle released a small jolt of electricity as well—which did absolutely nothing against the Elekid, since it as an Electric-type after all. “Go, go! Quick Attack again, then back off and aim an Electro Ball right at it!” she shouted, watching as the Elekid quickly jumped backward—and this time it was the Smeargle who was now charging forward, seemingly aware of Quick Attack as well. As it was headed right for the Elekid, it quickly countered with its own Quick Attack, and the two met squarely—before the Elekid hopped a few paces backward and then launched a sphere of electricity, smacking the incoming Smeargle once again—sending it flying.
“Well, next,” she said, whistling in Fulmine’s direction, and the little Electric-type quickly followed her out of the clearing—they were on to the next hunt.

Seeing that her hunt had eventually turned up a Skitty, she sighed—why was she getting all the duds anyway? Right cat, wrong specie… she thought with a sigh as Fulmine began swinging her arms in overdrive, apparently he wanted a go at this creature as well, even if it was being all cute and stuff. “Well then, just out luck Ful, it’s also a female. So… make your presence known with Electro Ball first, show ‘em how fast you can be,” she said, crossing her arms and letting the little Elekid take center stage. “Elekid, ele~kid~” came the reply; and then it zoomed off, gathering a sphere of electrical energy between the ‘prongs’ on its forehead. Seeing that it was now going on the offensive, she then watched in silence as the Electro Ball attack was released, a sphere of electrical energy screaming towards the Skitty—who was just chasing its tail innocently.
The Skitty never knew what was coming; and it let out a cry of shock and pain—where did this attack come from?! It then stopped chasing its tail and then saw that there was a humanoid-shaped creature in its territory—and it let out a howl of rage, before quickly reverting to ‘sweet mode’ and then activating some sort of alluring attack! Izumi didn’t know what it was, but it caused her eyebrows to shoot up—before she let out a snigger—as her Elekid was female; and she knew by fact that all Skitty were naturally female, hence the Elekid was immune. Apparently, this attack of the Skitty’s didn’t work; and then she let the next orders slip, “Go bring a Thunderbolt down on it, now!” she said, watching as Fulmine quickly began whirling her arms in overtime; before the sky above the field suddenly darkened—a sign that something bad was coming.
A few moments later, a peal of lightning came crashing out of the sky, very close to where the Skitty stood—and it let out a howl of surprise; because it had barely dodged the deadly obstacle! She then continued with, “Ful, go again, Thunderbolt and then toss an Electro Ball right at it!” and continued to watch the madness erupt from one side as the sky remained dark—and as the Skitty went to a new spot in order to regain its bearings, another peal of lightning came surging down, catching it full-on, and she heard a howl of pain. However, this wasn’t going to stop, as Fulmine’s arms were now whirring like crazy—and there was another globe of electrical energy within the ‘prongs’ on its head; and then it let fly once again—catching the stunned Skitty and blasting it out of sight. And that is why you should never get in the way of a mad Elekid. They’re nasty, she thought as she whistled to the Elekid, calling its attention. “Come on, let’s continue looking.”

As Izumi continued to trawl through the undergrowth, she realized that she was now on the verge of losing her patience and incinerating the entire area to the ground—when she saw something that had caught her eye—it was a flower, but it was definitely something that she hadn’t seen yet. Racking her brains in order to figure out just who this was, she saw that it was floating on a flower; and that it was definitely an ‘alien species’, one of the new breeds! And on the same level as Koutei I presume, she thought, quickly pulling out Fulmine’s PokeBall and recalling the Elekid. It was now time for someone else to take the stage—and she plucked out his Poeball and sent out the occupant. In a flash of red light—her Quilava, Arashi, made his appearance, and the flames on his back were crackling more than ever. “Smell that, Ara? It’s the scent of a new breed. Come on, let’s take it down and out, and add it to our ‘collection’! Start off with a Swift attack, and follow that up with Flamethrower! Evade as necessary!” she shouted, quickly taking off to one side so that she could see the rampage that was about to happen.
“Quilava, qui!” she heard her companion roar, before taking a deep breath and quickly opening its mouth firing off several star-shaped rays towards the little floating flower—and she was confident about Swift, because it was just one of those attacks that was very handy to have, since it had a perfect hit rate. At the same time, the little flower reared back and quickly summoned a hail storm of petals, ending it right at the Quilava—which countered the oncoming Petal Blizzard Attack with the storm of flame that the Flamethrower attack was producing, effectively shriveling everything up an reducing it to ash. The little flower then continued its onslaught, this time summoning a flurry of leaves and then sent it flying towards the Quilava—and then Izumi continued, “Arashi, counter that one with Lava Plume, go!” and quickly dove aside as she heard her Quilava cry out, almost like a roar—and then felt a sudden rush of hot air—before seeing several fountains of lava explode all throughout the area, quickly dousing not just the incoming storm of leaves, but also hitting the little floating flower as well.
“Turn it up, use Extrasensory, now!” she shouted, a hand cupped to her mouth, and the Quilava then concentrated on its target and then sent the little flower flying towards the spout of fire that was still erupting from the ground—but it was still standing; although it was looking singed. “Flamethrower attack once more, make sure it doesn’t catch you in an attack!” she called out, watching as the Quilava then dropped the little flower nearest to a pool of bubbling lava; before taking a deep breath and exuding another blast of fire—but this time it was countering with a strange breath attack; and the Quilava took the full force of it, yet it seemed to just turn it aside. The flames, however, homed in—and then wrapped around the little flower, and it was screaming out loud as the flames licked about it, before petering out.
“Time to go in for the capture…” she said, plucking out an empty Pokeball and then sending it flying towards the flower—which now looked scorched and had burn marks all over.

Apparently that display of ‘firepower’ was more than enough to beat the ‘floating flower’ into submission; as the PokeBall she’d thrown shook once, twice… and then came to a stop on the third try—before eventually disappearing from her sight. Right at the moment the little thing vanished, another one came out… and she now regally wanted to burn the outskirts of Camphrier down to the ground, for this was the second time that she’d gone on a hunt in this region without anything else to show for it. At least I got the floating flower… she thought with a dark look on her face as she recognized this one—it was a Hoenn native, so far away from its native area of just outside Slateport—and then pointed her finger right at it. “Arashi…. destroy that Plusle,” was all she said, and for the first time her Quilava looked back to check what was going on—and almost freaked out, for there was a dark look on her face at this point.
“You heard me, use your Flamethrower attack on it. even if we got the little floating-flower thingie… we need to step up our game,” she hissed, that creepy look entering her eye; and the Quilava could only follow—and was evidently distressed at that point. He didn’t want to obey orders, however there was nothing for it—so he took a deep breath and then quickly exhaled a blast of super-hot fire headed towards the Plusle—which was setting off sparks of electricity. The Plusle never saw what was coming—a wall of fire suddenly erupted all around it, and it shrieked out loud—and then said Plusle tried to escape, but instead chose to fire off star-shaped projectiles towards the wall of fire; cutting out of it and headed straight towards the Quilava, smacking it upside—but mostly shrugging off most of the pain. It did wince, however—and she then proceeded with the next set of commands.
“Ara, Lava Plume.. .and be quick about it, we can’t afford to waste more time,” she continued, crossing her arms and watching as the Quilava roared, before taking a deep breath and seemingly summoning all of its energy. The ground started rumbling; and in a few moments several spouts of lava shot out of the ground, bathing the surrounding area and turning it into a literal ‘ring of fire’; trapping the Plusle on an island—where it vainly tried to hop off, but was met instead with a burning sensation. It then tried to fire off another attack; but the molten fire was too much for it, and effectively left it trapped on that little square of land. “Come on Ara. Let’s go. We continue our search…” she said, this dark tone creeping into her own voice as well…
