It was still too early within the New Year, but already, Izumi was willing to test out the waters. After hearing rumors that there were some unfamiliar species suddenly appearing and trawling through the Safari Zone, she decided to give it a try… and she already had her Repel ready, just in case something went terribly awry. She then sighed a she submitted herself to the normal and usual pat-down security check; and once she’d been cleared and granted access, she gripped the Safari Ball so hard, her fingers were beginning to leave fingerprints on the green side of its surface. She then watched as the gates swung silently open, and then the sudden blast of sunlight nearly blinded her—she then squinted, before taking the first steps into the Zone—where strangely enough it was silent.
Hmm, people are still working off the holidays are they? Well then! She thought with a decisive spring in her step, as she began heading off into an area, squaring her shoulders and preparing herself for whatever was going to come. She knew that Arashi had a new move, and was itching to test it—because who knew what would happen; and what would they eventually encounter. Brace yourself… imminent luck incoming… she thought, hoping for the best as she began looking around, searching for any signs of life in her nearby vicinity…

Seeing the first thing that appeared from out of the area she’d gone through, she almost wanted to flip the entire Safari Zone over out of sheer annoyance—why had it chosen to spit out a Larvitar at the time she already had one? She then secretly sighed, before shaking her head—what was it with the irony and subtleties in the message? “I know, I know… but I already have one of you, so…” she said to herself, looking at the little dirt-eater before giving it a knowing stare—and it stared back at her. Much as she wanted to get another one for herself, she already had Ivan, and that particular one wasn’t too privy on having another of its kind within its presence.
With a quick bow, she acknowledged the ‘mon’s presence, before quickly backing away and disappearing into the undergrowth of another area. What was it with the Safari Zone that always disoriented, yet never failed to fascinate her at the same time? Was it really just one gigantic reserve open to natives of all existing regions? Plus she’d been hearing rumors and wild whispers about certain “unknown species” making an appearance in the Safari Zone, but who knew if her luck would turn at the moment? Right now, she just held her breath as she looked around the new area she was in, before making sure that she was prepared for anything that would emerge…

At that exact moment, her mobile phone began beeping to the tune of something sorrowful—and when she took it out, it was a message from Claire, asking if she’d spotted any of the ‘mons that she was looking for. She knew that Claire needed Teleporting Pokemon, so why she needed a Porygon was a bit of a surprise to her—she had even described it in the actual text message. Red-and-blue, no definite body shape… wait a second what… she thought as she looked up from the phone’s screen and saw that there was something that matched the description that Claire had just sent her. She then cracked a grin on her face and quickly sent a message with a reply, and then dropped the phone back into her pocket. After contemplating on whom to use, she then finally decided to get the ball rolling with her most-trusted ‘mon…
As she sent out the first Pokeball that she’d found, she watched as the flash of red light coalesced and Momo made her appearance, stretching he arms over her own head, before looking towards Izumi out of confusion. “Voir? Gardevoir?” she heard her closest companion ask, before Izumi inclined her head slightly, gesturing towards the weird, jagged-looking red-and-blue blob in front of them. “I don’t know why Claire wants this one, but she’s going to be paying big for it… so… let’s get this show on the road, want to try and hit it with a Thunderbolt attack to scare it first?” she said, backing away if in case things got nasty. She then heard Momo chant, “Voir, gardevoir,” before watching as she raised her hands to the heavens—and a few moments later, a bolt of supercharged electricity dropped down from the heavens, startling the Porygon out of its apparent torpor.
She had to nod in its defense, as it sent a very familiar-looking beam of light towards Momo—which almost caused her to lose her cool, because it looked all too familiar, it was a Signal Beam attack! “Oh crap, Momo, dodge that and use your Psychic attack, because that Signal Beam looks deadly!” she shouted; and Momo barely had time to move from its spot as the beam of light shot towards her—and she countered with a powerful “ripple” through the space between herself and the Porygon. The disturbances in the air caused the Porygon to stagger backwards—meaning that it had gotten hit—but this time it was rushing forward, as if about to ram the Gardevoir! “Momo, use Magical Leaf and try to block it!” she continued, watching as the Porygon somehow managed to connect with a Tackle attack; and then the madness continued…
After skidding off to one side, Momo then turned around, and then summoned the leaves that came out of nowhere as it shot towards her once more; apparently intent on tackling the hell out of the taller, more graceful, Pokemon. She then sighed, before continuing, “Okay, drop a Thunderbolt on it again, and make sure he doesn’t hurt you,” she added with a sigh, watching as the Gardevoir backed away and then let another bolt of electricity drop from the sky—smacking the Porygon full on. She then sighed as it flopped over, stunned due to the bolt of electricity, and lobbed the Safari Ball at it—she knew that Claire did pay a good price after all!

Izumi was expecting the terse little Porygon to fight its way out of the Safari Ball; but was ultimately surprised to see that it had not. She then turned to Momo, and gave her a grin, before actually stretching out her arms and then whispering, “Give me a hug, why don’t you?” and watched as the Embrace ‘mon seemingly floated over and wrapped its arms around her—they were almost as tall as each other now ever since she’d evlved from her Kirlia stage. After watching the Safari Ball shake three times, it stopped, and she then temporarily broke free of the hug to pick it up; and then whistled out a few notes. “Well this Porygon better be worth it…” she trailed off.
She then turned around, and then dug around in her jacket pocket—before bringing out a marked Pokeball with a simple sticker showing a heart, and then sighed before staring at the decal—she knew that Bunji had stuck it on the ball when he first presented Momo to her (who was just a Ralts back then) and then summoned Momo back in a flash of red light, watching as the figure seemingly waved in farewell before the red light took her back to whatever was inside said Pokeball. She then directed her tracks and then proceeded to make her way out of the Safari Zone; contacting Claire in the process and informing her that the Porygon had been successfully captured. What she needs it for I will never know, she thought to herself as she found her way down and back, before finally leaving the Zone itself.
Soon. I will get my hands on you. For now, business is business. She thought as she squared her shoulders and prepared for the next meeting between herself and her “master”.
