Once again, there was a lot of business for the ranch. This time he had that Vincent man and his mysterious benefactor to thank. Why, he even got an Eevee egg for Christmas from the former~! How generous of him!

”Thank you for coming, Ms. Ferris.” Altair smiled as he handed the Drilbur egg over to her. ”Here you go. Merry Christmas as well~ I hope you have a pleasant travel back to Orre.”

Once that was over with, Altair bowed and went back into his office, where he finished up typing up the confirmatory emails he had to send to everyone else. After all, Ferris was the only one to show up in person, making his job a little harder. Thank you internet for making corresponding easier though.

Altair tore his eyes away from the music sheet he was reading and raised both eyebrows. "Again? My my... he's having a lot of breedings lately. Though this one isn't a gift. Strange."

"Maybe it's for himself?" His usual assistant suggested.

"Perhaps." Altair smiled a little as he stood up. "What did he request of us this time?"

The assistant cleared his throat and pulled up the message from his computer. "He said that he wanted your Corsola and a female Squirtle from an acquaintance of his bred. The pokeball's already here, actually. Man works fast." He read from the screen.

"As to be expected." Altair remarked as he stood up from his seat. "Where is the pokeball?"

"It's in the breeding room." The assistant pointed towards the wooden door at the back.

"Alright." Altair nodded to himself as he walked towards the door. "Time to work my usual magic~"

Breeder's 19th... breeding

This month has been incredibly profitable... in a manner of speaking. She has greatly increased the ranks of her platoon, though at the same time it did a lot against her wallet... though that didn't mean it wasn't worth it. Mr. Romanov himself approached her with the knowledge of the particular purchase she was about to make; a Squirtle egg, a Pokémon that could serve well as a substitute artillery unit for Howi. This Squirtle was particularly interesting; this one, apparently would have very useful egg moves.

Vesta opened the door to the breeder's place of business, entering with a purposeful, yet respectful stride, her voice matching it as she spoke, "Sir. You have a valuable Squirtle egg for sale, yes? I would like to buy it. 85 dots is how much you want, right, sir?"

This was it. Months of of careful planning and monitoring were finally coming together. That man Altair didn't know it, but Zernebog was actually monitoring his movements since he had struck the deal to let him use his pokemon for breeding in exchange for reduced prices with him months ago. Apparently he was actually some sort of movie star or something with the alias of Walter Heydrich, but he didn't care about that. All he cared about was making sure that the man's business went with as little interruptions as possible and what the man's pokemon stock was. After all, those were the pieces of information that really mattered to him.

It was through that same network that he created and maintained throughout the regions -although really, his Unova one was so flimsy and small that it only consisted of the workers inside the man's store and maybe that one professor- that allowed him to finally see that the two elements he had been waiting for had finally aligned in the proper manner.

And now, his waiting has paid off. He had finally had a Squirtle egg with the egg moves he wanted bred. Why, he was so ecstatic that he even let Vesta and Aeon know of it and get one of the eggs. Hopefully they were good enough to put them to great use.

All he had to do was wait for the egg to be sent to him through mail, as agreed upon by email. He'll be paying 60 dots for it, so it better be worth it. It should since he was probably paying less than the other two.

The news from his brother that there was a Squirtle egg for sale was definitely welcome news. Quickly Aeon set out to go retrieve the egg. Rare species of Pokemon were always sought after by breeders and trainers alike, so getting there quickly would ensure he receive one.

He strode into the store that was beginning to be a rather familiar place, and set payment down on the counter for the egg. "I was told that there were some Squirtle eggs for sale here, and I'd like to buy one."

”There. Sent.” Altair smiled and leaned back into his chair. ”Thank you Zekrom for such wonderful pokemon transportation technology. Instant pokemon transfer is such a life saver.”

"They are." A voice suddenly interrupted from the doorway. "Too bad the two in front decided to forego technology and claim the other Squirtle eggs personally. Or is that a good thing?"

”As great as technology is, dear cousin....” Altair began as he rose up from his seat. ”Nothing will ever beat a face-to-face transaction. Less hassle, for one.”

"True that." His cousin chuckled as Altair walked out of his office to deal with his new customers.

”Hello there.” Altair smiled and nodded at the two people at the counter. ”I assume monsieur Romanov gave you permission to take the other Squirtle eggs?”

Altair then nodded and took out the two eggs from the back, took their payments and gave them their receipts of purchase.

”Thank you for your patronage. I hope you two have a safe trip back to your homes for the holidays~ Merry Christmas and happy new year~!”

Altair blinked at the proclamation and wondered why a chill suddenly went up his spine. "...excuse me?"

His cousin shrugged. "Apparently there was a P.S. part of his email asking for him to have his Metang bred and that he procured something in order to help breed it. I only remembered it now because two pokeballs came into the transporter just now."

"That would explain these two pokeballs." Altair muttered to himself as he held up the two pokeballs containing the Metang and the Ditto. "Why did you forget to tell me?"

"Erm...." His cousin actually blushed. "I had a date, so I just kinda rushed it out so that you could take care of the important stuff. You know how rare it is for me to get a date, especially when compared to the constant offers you must get for being such a pretty boy."

Altair actually stared at him with half-lidded eyes. "A date?" His tone was flat for once, causing his cousin to step back a bit. "You skipped out on mentioning something important for a measly date?"

Even as his cousin flinched at the tone, Altair just sighed. "You're lucky grandfather isn't here, or he would have your head. And your private parts too. Well, time to do the work again."

Piper arrived at the farm via taxi and hopped down out of the car, her sole companion sliding along behind her as she made her way down the walk and inside.

Once situated, she lifted the little pinkish blob up and placed him on the counter. He squirmed a little, reaching out toward Piper with two featureless appendages before turning to look around the room.

Well it was no espeon, but it was still one of the many Pokemon that she wanted and was something she didn't really have yet... A psychic type, well she still didn't have it yet since she had to buy it and then wait for it to hatch. However the smile on her face would make it seem like Jovia didn't mind the little inconveniences, after all she had been waiting so long for a Beldum didn't hurt to wait a bit longer.

Heading to the Gardens of Babylon she waited until she found someone to speak to for the transaction. "Hello I am Jovia, I am here about one of the Beldum eggs? got the money right here as well." Carefully she set down the egg carrier she had brought with her, sure centers like this had their owns to send the eggs out with but being a breeder herself she knew just the cost and she could always use hers again so it helped them both out.

It was a rather large risk, going to retrieve the egg on his own, but it wasn't something he wanted to leave to anyone else. Metagross was easily one of the most valuable Pokemon he needed, and he had finally obtained one. All it took from there was to hatch it and train it up, but before that, he would have to actually own it. With that, Sable himself walked up to the counter with the payment. "Seventy Five dots for a Beldum egg, correct?"

"Hey bro, the customers are here for those Beldum eggs that the hotshot had bred."

”Oh?” Altair looked up from the lyrics he was writing for a new song that he promised to do as a Christmas present for his fans. ”Then I'll just have to go meet them, now wouldn't I~?”

With that, he stood up and went out of his office. He passed by the breeding room and took the two Beldum eggs on his way towards the counter. Once he was at the counter, he gave them both a pleasant smile.

”Welcome to the Gardens of Babylon. I see you two are here for the Beldum eggs my client has bred.” Altair gave them both a bright smile. ”Yes, those prices will be quite adequate for the eggs. Here there are.”

He placed the two eggs on the counter in front of them, along with some papers. ”Take your eggs and fill up these papers to finalize your ownership of these eggs.”
