So it had been several rather uneventful days that had passed since the two had gone out to the Ruins; and now they were back for more. Insane weather conditions aside, Izumi had made sure to pick a day that didn’t have freak thunder storms in the weather forecast for their return trip to the Ruins. Now that she was down to what she could guess was two more marbles until she had an entire, ‘complete’ collection of the magical marbles that could make some Pokémon change form and get a power boost entirely, she was practically antsy when it came to where her traveling partner was off to.
“Aw, come on, you’ve got to be kidding me…” she muttered as she stood outside, waiting for him to show up. As was tradition, she’d flown in from Shui after another long, hard work day at the Izakaya; and was now leaning against the wall, looking around idly. Where had he gone off to this time? If you’re going to do some crazy-ass shit and scare me out of my skin again, I swear to Arceus I’m never going to let you live it down, she thought with a rather dour look in her eyes as she then crossed her arms and began tapping her foot against the ground, wondering just where he’d gone off to.
The weather for the day was a muggy, overcast kind—but it didn’t look like it was going to rain anytime soon—or at least she hoped it wouldn’t rain too hard and cause her to run for cover when the thunder began rumbling and the lightning began flashing…

Down to just two already? Cripes Izumi. She'd have to help him should she get any spares, he had thought when she had flaunted this fact to him. He still had a long way to go if he was going to collect all of the Mega Stones known to mankind, after all. A goal he had also set, alongside Izumi. Of course, he wasn't sure if he would ever hit that goal considering how difficult they were to find, but Izumi seemed to have an affinity for them. He on the other hand... Did not. So he had a long way to go. Joy.
The Lugia thing was still causing weather issues, but they'd picked the best day possible to come out and do more treasure hunting. Of course, it was odd that Josh was missing when Izumi had arrived... At least, until she would feel a hand on her shoulder from behind.
"Hi Izumi" Josh would speak with a yawn out of nowhere. Totally not intending to scare her, but what can you do?

The raven-haired Trainer was just about ready to retrieve her phone and leave her companion a rather agitated-sounding voice mail message when she felt a hand land rather hardly on her shoulder. She then shrieked and very nearly attempted to grab the arm and twist whoever had dared to sneak up on her—but after seeing just who it was, her face softened. “Man, what did I tell you about scaring me like that? It’s so not funny, you almost made me jump a mile into the air,” she yelped, before quickly pulling his arm and proceeding to drag him into the Ruins proper.
“Did you just get out of bed, or something?” she asked him once they were inside the Ruins proper and walking down what appeared to be yet another long hallway. “Sure sounded like I did… and if it was, sorry ‘bout that… but yeah, didn’t you want to get more of those shiny rocks into your collection? Wasn’t meaning to let slip that I only needed a couple more until I had the ‘entire set’,” she remarked with a quiet tone as she began to look through the rooms—not going into them, but by visual inspection. Most of them looked like they’d been already ransacked, and she could only sigh.
“Looks like today’s going to be another long one,” she continued with a sigh as she caught sight of what appeared to be a Dragon Scale—or something similar to it. she already had one of those, waiting to be used on her amicable, peaceful Horsea once he’d evolved far enough down the line. For now, though… they had treasure to seek out.

Josh softly chuckled a bit to Izumi's reaction to him accidentally scaring her. He hadn't even meant to, but she was still unusually jumpy anyway. "Man, Izumi. You're getting so easy to scare that I even scare you when I don't meant to" He remarked cheekily, with a smirk crossing his face. He shook his head to her question. "Had a rough time getting here again because of the weather, actually. Its been crazy as all hell as of late. I just haven't... Yeah. Had the best of times getting around" He would add with a sigh. "I wonder when its finally going to let up" He added. Yeah, Lugia. When you going to stop fucking up the world? We summoned you weeks ago!
He shrugged as he walked along with her into the ruins, looking over at her and nodding. "Yeah... Didn't need to know that. Especially when I'm so far behind" He would remark.

“Times…they just…well, you know, change,” she began at his remark, hoping that her point had made it across. “I d-don’t know, the weather’s making me really jittery lately…” she added in an off-hand remark, before looking around at the corridor and sighing. “Looks like we walked into another—“ she began abruptly, before a loud clicking noise gave her enough warning time that she’d accidentally triggered something without meaning to. “Oh, crap,” was all she had time for before a sudden hail storm of sharp, pointy, and incredibly nasty-looking objects began to shoot out from the wall on her right side!
“JOSH! MOVE!” she screeched, quickly reaching behind her and then pulling him forward as best as she could manage, hopefully making him dash forward as a second wave of sharp, pointy obstacles shot out from the wall opposite. “Gah, sorry, didn’t mean to trigger that trap… must be getting careless,” she muttered, taking a few deep breaths in order to get some order back into the chaos that was her body running on adrenaline. “I’m feeling rather iffy about this particular set of rooms,” she continued, pointing down the passageway. “If there was only some way to test if there’re traps without us triggering it…” she muttered, scanning the hallway with a critical-looking eye.
After sighing several minutes later, she then began to pick her way carefully across the floor, being on the lookout for any obvious-looking tiles that didn’t match with the rest of the décor. “C’mon, we have to search deeper inside,” she called out, hoping that he was keeping up with her rather…sketchy pace of hopping around certain raised tiles that were obvious signs of ‘live traps’ waiting to be unleashed on an unsuspecting explorer.

"Yeah, I've noticed they've made you jittery as of late" Josh would remark calmly, letting out a sigh. "Its getting worse and worse, Zu. I think you're going to need to get that checked out" He would add. "Seriously, you have the worst case of the jitters I've ever seen from thunder and lightning. Worse then a Pokemon with hypersensitive hearing. I can understand THEM having the jitters from it like that, but you? You've traveled the roads hundreds of times, likely been outside for hundreds of thunder and lightning storms. How could something like this phase you?" He would ask, curiously, tilting his head.
Josh would be shoved forward when Izumi would suddenly shove him down after she had decided to activate the traps. His eyes widened as he ducked down, hearing the traps going off behind them. "Oh lordie..." He muttered as he got up once they had disappeared. "You really need to be more careful" Josh would remark as they kept going.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RARE BONE! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops.

“Well,” she began with a rather testy tone, before looking over his shoulder to check that he’d escaped the latest trapped section unscathed, “…if you know anyone who’d be willing to see me for a reasonable price then let me know, because…” she trialed off, wagging a hand of hers in mid-air as if to emphasize something. “…to be honest, I don’t know. It’s like something… changed. But I can’t remember for the life of me what it is,” she added with a confused tone in her voice, before seeing that he was unharmed; if somewhat dusty.
“C’mere you, let me get your clothes clean,” she muttered, scooting over to where he stood and then dusting off as much of the grit and grime as she could reach. After taking a few moments to do so, she then stepped backwards to examine his clothing—not that she could tell if it was still dirty, but either way—she then turned back around and the continued to walk deeper into the Ruins. “Yeah, yeah, I know. Sorry I’ve been stepping on too many rigged tiles lately,” she added with a smirk as she continued to peek into rooms here and there, to no avail.
“Ugh, nothing but junk,” she hissed a few moments later, sighing as she continued to search through the place.

The blonde let out a laugh when Izumi, well hopefully joked anyway, about seeing a therapist if he could suggest one for a reasonable price. He would place a gentle hand on Izumi's shoulder. "Zuzu, don't you remember me saying that I'd gone to school to train to become a counselor? In the opening stages of that education, we had to learn a LOT about psychology. I needed my psychology major first, before I could go get my counselling masters. I got my major already, so I know quite a bit about psyche, but I never did get to start my counselling because all of that stuff happened when I came home to try and spend time with my family, despite them not really wanting me there, and I became a Trainer and all. Still, I might know a thing or two if I can get a chance to look at you later on. And I'll do it for free of course" He would respond, with a sigh. "But we'll handle that later. For now, lets get what we came for and get the hell out of here"
He chuckled when she dusted him off. "Overbearing wife" He joked, back to their old inside joke before nudging her playfully and noting the odd statue nearby. "Heeeellooooo my baby, hello my honey, hello my ragtime gal. What's this?" Josh would inquire to himself as he would walk over, noting the familiar looking mega stone in front of it as he would pick it up. "Ah, I have one of these" He said, looking over at her. "If you want it, we can trade later perhaps" He remarked as he would put the stone away. "Take the lead, Zu" He said as Josh officially claimed the Manectite.
