The rather muggy, dreary weather continued to put the raven-haired Trainer on edge; simply because nobody knew when the ‘lightning storms’ would suddenly appear. Over the past few days, if Josh would have noticed, his female companion had gained a rather uncanny, if somewhat uncharacteristic, obsession with following the weather reports. Put it down to paranoia; put it down to bad experiences; the truth of the matter was that Izumi had suddenly developed a case of astraphobia; and the weather wasn’t helping it in any way at all.
I know that spring weather is supposed to be fine and balmy, not chaotic and borderline catastrophically unstable… she thought with a frown on her face as she looked over to where her companion was; hopefully with an umbrella over his head. “I don’t know what’s caused the weather to go out of whack like this; but hopefully it cools down the very hot summer that’s reported to sap Nue of its energy…” she began in a quiet tone—another uncharacteristic thing that had suddenly taken hold of her. normally she’d be all happy-go-lucky and chipper, but this time around, the weather was doing a pretty good job of messing with her state of mind and emotional balance; all because of the lightning strikes that shook the place every so often.

The storms were becoming more and more apparent. Bloody hell, what had they done? Well, Izumi didn't know of course. He didn't have the heart to tell her that HE and Yumi had summoned Lugia and had caused her worst fear, thunderstorms, to become reality. Sure, it wasn't exactly his fault. The only real part he had in it was backing Yumi up when she got attacked by a dangerous horde of wild Pokemon, which oddly resembled those of Agatha who showed up after, and then showed up during the summon time. Still, there wasn't much that he could do for the time being. Still, Izumi had been acting weirder and weirder lately.
"BOOM" Josh let out from behind her, just out of trying to lighten the mood as he came over with, yes, an umbrella over his head. "Cmon, lets get inside shall we?" He would ask. "The sooner we get out of this rain, the better" Josh added as he would head into the ruins.

A loud shriek then echoed out from the raven-haired individual who was standing in the light drizzle, wondering where her partner had gone off to—and as she turned around on the spot to see just who had done that, she then aimed a balled-up fist and then attempted to sock the offender right up the jaw; at least until she saw who it was! “Oh, hell. D-don’t scare me like that,” she said with a growl in her tone, before quickly aiming a light conk on his head—at least, the part that she could reach for the moment. After she’d meted out the ‘sufficient’ punishment for sneaking up behind her and very nearly scaring her out of her skin, she then looked around shiftily, before scenting the wind.
“Look, c’mon, let’s get goin’…” she muttered, before quickly plucking his arm and attempting to drag him along as best as she could manage. Thankfully, the Ruins weren’t as moldy as they were whenever the weather would suddenly act up and start pouring sheets all over the people; so she was slightly thankful that the place offered ample shelter. The corridor that they were traversing was long; it was stagnant, yes, but nobody could’ve asked for a drier place to hide out in; at least until the freak rain passed over the place. Fat chance, though… with the way the weather is going berserk… she thought to herself with a rather flat look on her face, before catching sight of something that was lurking in the shadows beyond a room that had caught her attention.
“Hey, J. Look,” she began, pointing at the room that she had stopped in front of, before quickly turning and heading inside, the better to see what statue was within it, guarding a marble that could unlock further potential. Sooner or later, she then emerged—rolling a weirdly-colored rock in her hands. She recognized the statue on sight; and knew that it was for a Flying-type that she had—but she knew someone else who would appreciate the marble she was now playing with. “Come on, I got my stuff. Let’s go,” she continued, whistling and waiting for him to continue walking and exploring the place.

The sound of Izumi letting out a shriek caused Josh to laugh in response. While it was weird that she was suddenly paranoid of lightning, he couldn't help but make a joke or two. Cuz why not, right? The least he could do was try to lighten the mood with it. No use in just letting her fear be just that, a fear that couldn't be laughed at. Why not make light of it? Eventually, she might even start feeling better. Still, she had almost clobbered him before changing her clobber to a light one which he smirked at once she recognized him. "Way too close, Zu. Whats wrong with a bit of scare tactics for laughs, aye?" Snarky Josh would... Snark. Because he's Snarky Josh. He smirked a bit and ruffled her hair a tad playfully, trying to cheer her up in the only ways that he knew how.
As they headed inside, it didn't take long for Izumi to find something. He smirked a bit. He recognized that statue. "You lucky girl" He remarked, letting out a sigh as they kept walking. Something told him that this was going to be another hard trip for him
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found RELIC VASE! A vase made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Josh would pick up another piece of....
"Ugh"
A weird vase. A junk one, he knew. He'd tried to sell one of these before. Why did he keep getting things like this? Hell, why was someone actually putting junk vases in old ruins? It was as if someone was actually traversing these ruins for the sake of messing with explorers and diggers and anyone who goes looking for treasures. Treasure hunters, right? Yeah, treasure hunters. Once again, Izumi had already found something good, and once again the blonde was finding junk.
He shrugged as he would toss the vase. It didn't even break, it was so hard. As he kept going, he heard a sound and raised an eyebrow. "SHIT, NOT MORE ZUBATS" He let out as he would duck, taking Lightning with him as he ducked for cover. A whole horde of Zubats would fly over their head and into another part of the ruins.
"Ugh..." He muttered again as he wiped the dirt from his pants and checked on Lightning and Izumi. With that in mind, they kept going.

"Hey, what's this?"
Even Izumi would be able to see the broad smile that crossed Josh's face as he would stand in front of a statue of a strange looking Steelix. With the pattern of statues they had found lately that were similar to this one, the marble that was on the pedestal in front of it could no doubt be some sort of Mega Stone for Steelix. While he did not have a Steelix of his own, yet, he had an Onix. Perhaps evolving it would be wise, hm?
Josh would gently take the stone, checking first for any traps. They had both been successful this day, it seemed, and Josh chuckled a bit as he would nudge Izumi playfully. "Let's get out of here, shall we Zu?" He would ask the raven haired Trainer. It had been a long day. But it was time to go for the time being.
