“BOSS! BOSS! D’ya he—“
“I know!”
The howling wind that was picking up outside was but a sign of what was looming on the horizon—the flat screen television on the second floor, as well as the radio on the ground floor were grating out the same news; that there was some sort of insane weather disturbance that was spreading across the Nue region. Geez, not even six months and this happens?! Oh, Arceus, maybe I should’ve stayed behind in Humilau… were the first thoughts that stole across the Breeder’s mind as he then quickly began searching through the drawers for all of the containment units of all the ‘mons that were grazing outside.
“DARREN! Help me out here, we have to hunt down all of the ‘mons outside! We have to get them out of harm’s way!” he continued to shout as he finally found a locked drawer that revealed multiple containment units, varying in designs but all marked with a similar sticker—they were all of Kouji’s ‘mons that were grazing outside, Water-types or not. “A’igh’, I’m comin’, Boss!” came the shout of his rather panicky-looking assistant as he then scrambled in from one of the back rooms, tossing his work apron to one side and helping his boss with an armful of containment units. “Go towards the ocean, I’ll search for the birds and the grazers! Meet back here in fifteen minutes, twenty tops!” he hollered, carrying an equal armload of containment units and making a mad dash outside.
Even though the inside was safe, the moment he’d stepped outside, he then saw the sheer magnitude of what was going on—the normally clear skies had suddenly been replaced with a brewing pot of stormy-gray shale; and the winds were picking up at alarming levels. “GAH!” he shouted, hearing rumbling in the distance, before quickly running as fast as he could against the wind that was blowing outside; if he was any lighter than his current weight he’d have been sent flying and that would have been the end of him. “Hiekka! Get Alexander and ‘Beth to help you get the young ones, NOW! Rymi, go find Palm and help Darren, if you meet any of the others, bring ‘em along and give him a hand! SKY! I need your help! Quickly!” he shouted, feeling a bubbling wave of panic rising up inside him; the stronger the wind became, the more time was running out!
Over at where Darren was currently recalling and scooping up several containment units that contained the Water-types that were in danger of getting washed away, he then looked up in surprise to see that there was a flying tree that was approaching him; attempting its best to battle against the howling wind that was picking up force and velocity. “SHIIIIIIIII’!” was the first thing that erupted from him as he very nearly lost his footing—and the occupied containment units in the process. “Gah,” he groaned, watching as the Tropius then flew lower and closer to where he was; while an Aerodactyl zoomed by, shrieking to the sky and shielding Darren’s opposite side.
Who knew that those clouds would bring in such ominous tidings?
