Due to running on a tight schedule the last month, Izumi and Josh hadn’t been able to get to the final Ruins run that they were allotted; since all explorers had four chances a month to rip through the place and strip it of whatever treasures that they could run off with—provided they could get out alive. She knew that her companion was running on a rather short fuse lately; so Izumi had decided to go on ahead to the Ruins.
Instead of coming from Shui as was her custom, she had arrived from the opposite direction—she’d gone over to Bayonada to discuss a few things regarding getting a few requests done for some clients that had appeared on the market but were too shy to reach out and connect with Kouji. The raven-haired girl then stood at one of the entrances, trying to shake the salt out of her hair and taking a ginger sniff at her clothing. Who knew that Bayonada reeked of the sea so much, it felt like it was summer over there as compared to spring in the rest of the Nue region?!
“Okay, where is he now…?” she muttered to herself, looking around rather nervously for a crop of familiar blonde-colored hair to just suddenly appear from out of nowhere.

Josh wasn't exactly happy with his absolutely terrible luck last time, especially in comparison to the mega stone magnet Izumi, and his mood only soured when they had completely run out of time on their old ruins licenses. The blonde let out a sigh as he would head over to these next ruins, knowing Izumi had gone on ahead. He was having a hard time getting motivated this time. I mean, it was obvious the forces of nature were against him, highly against him at that. Hopefully this run would help give him his confidence back.
Josh would walk the rest of the way, having had Gawain's help for most of the trip. Lightning walked alongside him as he would walk over to Izumi, and oddly enough, there was a Goomy on his head. He'd taken to letting Goomba out of his ball lately to let him see the world along with him. Josh would nod over to Izumi and motion her into the ruins as he headed in.

“Josh, what is that thing on your head,” she began once she’d caught sight of her companion, before managing to pull him into the open passageway that they were going to be traversing this time around. “It looks… weird. Get it off your head, that’s going to be very sticky once you try to wash the muck out,” the raven-haired Trainer remarked, pondering the Goomy that was perched on his head with a critical stare. “Yuri isn’t like that, to be honest. Well, anyway… I’ll introduce you to my Goomy someday. But not now, we’re here and—“ she trailed off, before stepping on a loaded tile and hearing a loud click echo throughout the passageway.
“Oh, shit,” was all she had time for as she suddenly heard a cracking noise—and looked behind her; to see that the floor that they were walking on was caving away and disappearing! “JOSH! RUN!” she shouted, quickly grabbing his arm and attempting to haul him along, before she broke out into a sprint, away from the caving tiles that were crumbling to nothing. “GET MOVING!” she shouted; finally moving ahead of him and letting her legs propel her onwards, before diving into a room at the end of the hallway and crashing hard against the cold stone floor. “Owww… ouch,” she groaned, having landed rather hard on her stomach as she then stood up in order to look around the room where she’d landed in.
Unsurprisingly, there was a statue within; but it looked like something she hadn’t seen yet. “The hell is this,” she continued, remarking that the physical features of the statue made it look like some kind of overgrown fairy with a mustache; but what really caught her attention was the glittering prize that was at the base of the representation of a Pokémon she didn’t know (which was apparently Audino) before approaching the statue and snatching the shimmering, marble for her prize. “Alright, I’m out,” she muttered, looking around and hoping that Josh had the mind to follow her into the room…

"I'm wearing a hat under this Goomy" Josh would remark. Obviously, he'd thought of this problem ahead of time. He wasn't going to mess up his Thor'eal hair so easily, was he? Still, he wanted this Goomy to be shown the world. So on his head he stayed. "This is Goomba, and he's going to stay on my head so I can show him the world" He'd crack with a cheeky grin. Pun or no pun. Of course, they wouldn't be able to joke around for long before he heard the oh so familiar sound of Izumi stepping on something that would no doubt trigger a trap. Josh narrowed his eyes. So much for watching your step, Izumi. He just stared at her the moment he heard the sound, his eyes still narrowed toward her.
Izumi didn't even have to scream, Josh had already looked around to see what the clicking would activate, and before long, the floor had begun to crumble below them. "Great" Josh said as he motioned for Lightning and Goomba to hang on tight as he would break off at a run so they didn't, y'know, die. Izumi grabbing his arm didn't help him much, only slowed him down, but he tried to pull her along with him as they ran. Josh's landing was a little more... Graceful then Izumi's when they had both dove toward the end, and he would roll across the floor upon landing before getting to his feet. He was still covered in scrapes and bruises, but the Goomy was a decent cushion for his head, and Goomba seemed to have absorbed the impacts like a sponge with relatively no damage. Josh still checked on him, of course, but he didn't seem to be hurt. Josh would wipe the dirt off himself and his Pokemon before looking over at Izumi who had walked into another room. He'd peek in to see she'd found another treasure. Josh would pick something up, hoping he'd found something... But turns out it was only junk. Again.
The blonde let out a sigh. Of course his luck hadn't changed. Not even a little bit.

"Hm? What's this?"
Josh would stop in front of a large statue. It looked like a giant Aerodactyl with... Weird looking horns along it. He'd never seen anything like that before. In the center? Was a stone. A mega stone. One that Josh had never seen before, and obviously didn't have. His eyes sparkled a bit at the black and purple-ish stone. "Ahhh!" Josh let out as he would pick it up, watching carefully for traps and being prepared to flip his shit and run if it had activated anything. "So perhaps this is a mega stone for Aerodactyl? Judging by the statue anyway. Aero will be thrilled" Josh remarked with a chuckle. "Zu, we're done here. We got our one each. Lets go!" Josh called to Izumi as he started walking, his spirits obviously lifted after finally finding something. "Pi-Pika-Chu!" Lightning chirped as he would follow along with his much happier now Trainer.
