Now that he wasn’t so busy, Kouji had finally managed to find some time to return to the Ruins—after barely surviving a rather nasty prank that his assistant had pulled on him yesterday. Well, it’s to be expected, April Fools was coming and I walked right into it. All the same, it was rather alarming… he thought to himself as he finally came in sight of the permanently-pitched tent city outside of the Ruins proper that seemingly stretched on into eternity.
Knowing that he might have to make a swim for it when he plunged back into searching, he’d already made precautions to pack along some swim wear (namely, a pair of trunks and a towel) in the backpack he had hitched on his shoulders; sealed in a waterproof plastic that was crammed along with several flash lights and some food supplies as well.
He then quickly made his way down the sloping path, walking past the explorers that had already called the tent city “home” and fishing out one of the many flash lights he’d brought along in the process, before shaking it open and getting a steady beam of light out before arriving at one of the quieter entryways that snaked into the Ruins proper.
“Well, here goes nothing…” he remarked to himself, walking into the yawning maw that sunk into the inky blackness; the only light coming from the contraption he held in his hands.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Intriguing Stone! Not a Mega Stone but it's still a beautiful stone. It can be sold for a high price to a collector.

The solitary trek down the corridor was long, slow, and absolutely quiet. The Breeder knew that the more that the silence hung in the air, the quicker he’d descend into what he considered was ‘madness’; so he began poking the flash light around and started looking for obvious traps sticking out—like tiles that were out of place; or wall switches that looked like sore thumbs that obviously didn’t blend in with the décor. It didn’t take too long for him to actually trigger something… and it happened when his foot had stepped on a tile he’d missed in his initial sweep for trapped, loaded tiles!
The whooshing noise was his warning—and he looked around in time to see that there was a blade swinging his way! “OH, SHIT!” he shouted, quickly diving to one side as the swinging blade then cut a wide swath through the corridor—and he felt the wind whistling as the blade very nearly missed bisecting him down the middle for a second time! “Eesh! Once was bad enough, but twice?! That’s a bit too much!” he huffed to himself, clutching a hand to his chest as the swinging blade came back for a another round; as if trying to taunt him to taking that fatal step forward. “Crap… too close…” he muttered, inching his way along the wall.
The swinging blade came around for another few swinging motions, but by then Kouji was long gone, having run and made a mad dash down the corridor, hoping to find another entryway that led to a hopeful cache of treasure!
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC CROWN! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Either there was something going on in the heavens, or today wasn’t exactly Kouji’s lucky day. He knew that once he’d started encountering the items that were on the weirder side of the spectrum, he was going to be in for one hell of a day. “Ugh, not again…” he remarked, taking a wrong turn and finally coming face-to-face with nothing but solid wall. “Gah, this is why I hate walking by myself without a set destination… but if I use Casey and make him Teleport me somewhere… who knows where the hell we might end up,” he muttered to himself, looking around for a stroke of inspiration.
He then turned around and walked in the opposite direction, an attempt to retrace his steps from earlier. Since he’d just taken to walking absentmindedly without thinking of a definite destination in mind, he’d somehow ended up lost in the Ruins—and was very hesitant on attempting another series of Teleporting hijinks; because the last time he’d done so, him and Casey had almost ended up getting crushed like pancakes after materializing near the ceiling; even if his Abra had fully intended for them to appear somewhere near the statues in the middle of the room.
“Well… where to, now?” he said out loud, finally reaching a fork in the pathway that branched off into several different directions. Which path would he take? He then stood there for a while, trying to contemplate the best course of action at the present time.

Now that the adrenaline rush from earlier had petered out (and he was faced with a rather interesting quandary as to which path he was going to take), the Breeder then looked around at the path he’d come from and then saw that there was no point in going back the way he came—what if he ran into more junk? He then spun back around before pointing a finger at each of the three passageways in front of him, hoping that his instincts would make him pick the ‘right’ path. After all, there’s no right or wrong here. It’s all a matter of luck… he thought as he then felt a ‘pull’ on the path that branched off to the left; and decided to go down that corridor first.
Besides, if I don’t find anything, I can just turn around and go back and poke around the other two paths… right? he thought to himself as he continued his venture down the corridor, picking out obvious-looking loaded, rigged tiles and finally managing to traverse a rather erratic route towards the room at the end of the hallway—where he was greeted by a sight so terrifying it was absolutely monstrous. He didn’t need a flash light to see the statue in the center of the room—the enclosure had a hole in the ceiling, so there was natural light drifting down and illuminating the stone representation of he didn’t know what with a rather unearthly glow.
“You look so intimidating, I might just piss my pants,” he muttered as he then quickly made his way into the room, picking his way carefully across the tiles; before arriving at the dais—and catching sight of something glittering inside its mouth. “A-ha. There you are,” he said quietly as he reached into the maw of the statue and finally pulled out the marble—no sooner had he done this, a loud clicking noise echoed throughout the room. “Oh, fuck,” was all he had time to say as the room began to tremble rather ominously…
