Now that the months hand changed—and so did the seasons—Kouji knew that it was high time to get exploring once again in the Ruins. Now that winter had gone and surrendered its scepter to the warm spring weather, he didn’t have to worry about bundling up anymore each and every single time he went out of the Ranch to get to some official business! After taking a rather refreshing cold bath for a change, he then made sure that his preparations were ready—the trusty backpack loaded up with flash lights; sandwiches and enough water to feed not just himself, but his six companions—once he’d left a note for Darren to take care of any other breeding requests that might come pouring in while he was gone, he then set off.
Today was also going to be the first time he was going to try to fly there; so after sending out his Aerodactyl in a flash of red light, he then cautiously approached the Fossil ‘mon. Once he’d given the Aero his usual petting session, he then cautiously hopped astride the Pokémon; and after giving him an encouraging tap on the shoulder blades, took off into the sky! Who knew that flying through the air was going to be such an exhilarating experience?! “Sky, you never told me that flying was so much fun! I can see it now!” he shouted from over the wind that was starting to pick up; and the Aero gave a victorious screeching cry as they soared above the skies of Bayonada; before zipping up as fast as he could manage.
Approximately two and a half—almost three hours later, the Aerodactyl came in for a three-point landing in front of an entrance that was pitched near a ‘tent city’ on the outskirts of the Ruins, Kouji stumbling off rather ungracefully form his back. “Nice work, Sky. We need to work on landing, though,” he added with a chuckle as he then recalled the Aero back in a flash of red light.
Once he’d shrunk down the containment unit to pocket size, he then made his way through the tent city, getting a flash light from his backpack and flicking it on the moment he’d walked through the entrance of the Ruins. “Now… what surprises are waiting for me…” he muttered, as he then walked through the long corridor, making sure to examine every nook and cranny…
