The aforementioned clicking noise that he’d heard was just the beginning of all hell breaking loose; what with the sudden rush of air that was just his split-second warning, before a sudden blast of superheated fire erupted from the statue! “What the fuck?!” he had time to yell before scrambling backwards as the seemingly stone statue suddenly unleashed one hell of a trapped payload; this one was literally ejecting fire and flames; and then an acrid stench hung in the air not too long after the initial burst of flames petered out. “Oh… what in the… GAH!” he yelped, quickly shutting his eyes—rigging the statues with who knew what kind of traps was honestly a clever idea in itself; and proved to be disastrous as well “Sky! Close your eyes!” he shouted as he began to stumble through the place.
Hos own eyes were starting to sting due to the acrid stench that his nose was picking up; and try as he might, walking around blindly only made things a lot worse. The Aerodactyl then screeched, trying to lead the way out of the room; but before they could even get so far as a few feet and head towards the exit, the two suddenly…felt the floor fall. “OH, SHIT!!!” he screamed as he then experienced the feeling of weightlessness; his Aerodactyl screeching at the sudden free-fall that they were going through. Who knew if they were going to hit something or just get impaled and die?! He then risked a chance and opened his eyes—and saw that they were falling through what felt like an endless space. “SKY! Where are you?!” he began, shouting as he looked around—what was it with the fall, why was it endless?
He then heard a loud screech, before feeling something grab him by the shoulders—his Aerodactyl had zoomed down and was now attempting to slow the fall that they were currently trapped in. “Sky, I’m sorry if you had to save me again! But please don’t let go of me!” he shouted as the Aerodactyl valiantly fought against the heavy weight that he was trying to support—but at least he wasn’t stuck in free fall now! “Sky! Can you glide down to the bottom, see where we end up?” he called out a few moments later; and then felt the flight pattern dip ever so slightly—the Fossil ‘mon was now trying to home in on a safe landing below. The weird light at the bottom grew larger and larger, until they eventually landed in another room with a soft clattering noise.
