Not too long after he’d obtained the weird, funny-colored marble that he’d just kept, he felt the ground shaking… which was most definitely not a good sign at all. “Oh, hell no!” he muttered, smacking a palm to his forehead after realizing that he might have triggered yet another one of the weird-ass traps that hadn’t been deactivated yet! “Well, shit,” was all he had time for as he then saw that there was a literal wave of…beetles that were headed his way. However, though—these beetles reeked of decay and rot; which was definitely not a good sign. “Hell I’m not going to run on the floor with that around!” he shouted, quickly scooping up the lone Safari Ball among the containment units he had on him; before letting his Aerodactyl out in a flash of red light.
As Sky let out another roar, he then turned around and looked at Kouji with a curious look in his eyes—before recoiling at the reek that the wave of beetles had brought. “I know. Help me out here?” he continued, wondering if the Fossil ‘mon could hold his entire weight. “Let’s continue working on this once…once we get out of this place!” he shouted as he quickly scrambled on the Aero’s back and then gave a gentle pat; to which the Aerodactyl then roared and flew as fast and as far as he could go. Shit, I should’ve taught you Agility… then we’d go even faster! He thought, smacking a palm to his forehead as the Aero flapped his wings—and the wave of beetles was catching up to them. “Go faster, Sky! The father away we can get from the stench, the safer we’ll be!” he said in an encouraging tone; never mind the panic that was bubbling up inside him at this point in time.
The wave of beetles was really starting to smell so bad the odor itself was appalling; and once he caught sight of a fork in the corridor, he was torn—where to go? He then tried to contemplate the decisions; before looking up—and seeing that there was an opening in the ceiling. “Up, Sky! Go up!” he shouted, before tapping the Aero’s body and then pointing upwards—the Fossil ‘mon then banked sharply before shooting upwards—barely evading the horrible stench of the bugs that were literally eating everything in their path, be it living or dead!
