It was a few days after their first short trip to the Ruins—they’d both walked away with something of considerable value. Izumi wasn’t sure on what to do with the weird greenish-colored marble she’d picked up; but it was hella rude to overlook a gift from Arceus in any case. She’d already tossed the marble into storage alongside her now steadily-growing duplicate stash of things related to Mega Evolution; and had decided that waiting a few days before making another journey back to the Ruins was appropriate—because she’d already witnessed first-hand what could go wrong if one definitely pushed their luck to the absolute brink and limit.
Making sure to leave her traveling companion a voice message before she set out on the hike to the Ruins, she then suited up as best as possible; before finally hefting a backpack over her shoulders and going out into the Wilds, and then tracing the path that she’d normally take when heading to the Ruins on foot. Several hours later, she’d arrived at the snow-capped, windswept place; and could only stare—what was it with the place? Were they lucky so as to not run into anything that had booby traps in it so far? Or was their luck just about to run out this time around? In any case, she then proceeded to make her way over to one of the many entrances that led into the place of mystery; the better to wait for Josh to show up.

How I met your Muk?
Regardless, their last escapade into the Ruins had proven a decent success. And it was a given that Izumi would want to get to the next one as soon as possible in order to capitalize on their momentum. But Josh still harboured that dream, that desire, to find that same stone that Yumi had showed him. Unfortunately, he seemed to come up short everytime. Still, he'd managed to find some interesting stones along the way. He could only hope their roll would continue.
Izumi had left him a voice message and had headed out to the Ruins on her own for him to meet her there. Sometimes, he wondered why the hell Izumi didn't just go WITH him? I mean, for god sakes Izumi. They lived on the same damn property. Hell, in time, they would be living in the same HOUSE. But alas, Izumi seemed content to just scout ahead. Well, wait until she saw how he got there...
"Heyyyy! Izzzuuuuumiiiiiii!" Josh would call out to Izumi from the distance as he was racing toward her at high speeds on... Something. As Josh got closer, Izumi would make out what Pokemon mount Josh had chosen this time. A Doduo! The two-headed bird would stop in front of Izumi and Josh would pat it on the head before returning it to it's Pokeball. "Hey" He said, nudging her playfully before heading inside.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found LEFTOVERS! You found some leftovers from the previous diggers, clean it up and keep in mind the recyclables!

She had her reasons for leaving ahead of Josh from the Wilds—yet sometimes whenever she’d call him over for a Ruins exploring session, she’d be coming all the way from Shui, so there really was some sort of logical explanation for her going on ahead of him when they came to poking around the place. She then chuckled as she watched him draw up on a Doduo, and began by teasing, “Are you seriously going to try out all of the known existing Pokémon and use them as some kind of mode of transport until you can settle on one?” before chuckling and then just…taking his hand and leading him into the Ruins. For some reason, she was feeling a wellspring of courage bubbling up within her; because now was most definitely a prime time for her to confess—but that loud clicking noise that had cut her off cut her thoughts to a grinding halt.
“Oh… oh, crap. What was that?” she began, tensing her body and stopping to take a look at him; before straining her ears and trying to pick up if there was something bad that was going to happen. Of course, any unnatural noises in the Ruins usually spelled something bad—like how she’d heard a few horror stories from Kouji about some of the places still being rigged with live traps. None too soon, she heard the sound of…skittering? Or was it whooshing? She then looked down and around—how the hell was it possible for those flesh-eating scarab beetles to exist here, this wasn’t The Mummy for crying out loud! “Josh… I think we’d better RUN!” she began, her pitch going up at the very last words, as a loud rumbling began echoing from behind him…
“COME ON! GET MOVING!” she shrieked, dashing ahead of him—because if Josh cared to look, there was an incoming rock that was just as tall (and as wide) as the corridor that they were traversing, rolling right towards them…!

Oh, I know! How I Met Your Murkrow!
"Oh, shh" Josh cracked, giving Izumi a playful nudge in response. "Sweetcheeks, remember our plan to teach some of our Pokemon how to act as mounts, that class that we NEVER did? Since you forgot, I've been trying to teach my Pokemon one by one. These are their lessons when I bring them along with me like this" He would explain. "Since I don't have the time to teach them all on my own, instead of the group sessions planned, I decided to try it on the go. Every trip here is a pain, but it's worth it because experience is the best teacher" He would add. "Now, let's get going, shall we? I'm sure you're impatient to get in there and find garbage" He teased, sticking his tongue out at her playfully.
To his surprise, Izumi would actually take his hand and lead him in. He would shrug, though his cheeks went red a tad. Where was her head at? For now though, they had a job to do, well, not a job... But close enough. It was a regular tradition for them by now. Unfortunately, before Izumi could explain, they both heard a loud.... Clicking noise.
"What in blazes was that?" Josh would ask as he would look around. And then he saw it... Below them. He had heard those horror stories as well, since Kouji's ranch was combined with Dragomir's... "What in blazes is THAT?!" Josh would repeat, this time with more emphasis as he saw the flesh-eating beetles skittering toward them. All he could hear was Izumi screaming to RUN, before he would follow, not that he needed her prompting!
They would eventually escape, and end up in some sort of corridor. "I think we lost them..." Josh said as he would look around, noticing a pedestal nearby, and on it? A Mega Stone! "Heyyyy!" Josh let out as he would walk toward it, but would stop cold. "Oh, I know this one" Josh said, rolling his eyes. It was on a pressure plate. He knew it. "Now, let's see..." He began, with the writer apologizing for editing your flow of events a bit Zuzu because he had an idea. Josh would look around, noticing one of those stupid little junk statues that were worth nothing. "Ah-Hah!" Josh let out as he would pick it up, and with careful coordination, would try his hardest to quickly switch the Gardevoirite with the junk statue. "Just... A little more..." Josh muttered. "Yes!" He said as he would switch them. "Hey, it's a new Mega Stone!" Josh said as he would look it over... Before noticing the pedestal sinking, with the junk statue going inside!
"... I don't think we fooled it" Josh remarked as he would pocket the mega stone. Just then, the wall would open... And coming toward them was a giant boulder rolling their way!
"OH SHIT, RUN!" Josh let out as he would flee for his life.

Who knew the room where Josh had spotted (and claimed) the suspiciously-familiar stone was apparently rigged…with a trap! The moment he’d swapped the shiny marble for a piece of junk, the room started rumbling quite…ominously. The irony was high in the air as this time around, another trap triggered—Izumi could only guess that it was some kind of a pressure trap. “You don’t need to tell me twice!” she began, her voice pitch escalating until it was at a certain pitch that only Zubats would probably hear. Seeing that he’d already made a break for it, she then shrieked as she saw the trap; before quickly picking up the pace and then forcing her legs to run as fast as they could—probably even faster than Josh’s scampering was at the time.
“Geez, did we just happen to go into one of the parts of the Ruins that’s still rigged with LIVE traps?!” she exclaimed, still running as fast as her legs would allow. She could feel her muscles seizing up and screaming in protest—but with a crazy-ass rigged room that was now attempting to swallow them alive, she had to keep going! Thankfully, the adrenaline had numbed the pressure, somewhat. After seeing a room on the right side not too far ahead, she then reached behind and made an attempt to grab Josh’s hand, before shouting, “Let’s go in there! I know that corridor-wide traps only go in the direction that they’re supposed to go!” and then made another valiant effort to run as fast as her legs could carry her. Hell, all that training and I’m still feeling tired?! Geez I need to train some more! She screeched in her mind as she then dived through the open doorway; before landing with a loud, resounding crash on the floor.
She heard the obstacle rumble rather ominously past the room; and as she tried to stand up, she felt a wave of pain course through her body. “Ow. Ow, ouch. Have to practice those unrehearsed landings more often…” she trailed off as she finally managed to stand up on her own some minutes later… and saw that they were in another room that had a guardian statue. The statue itself was intimidating, overwhelming—and it was overlooking a dais that had a marble glittering in it. She could only guess that it was something that she…didn't have?“Wait a minute…” she trailed off, slowly approaching the dais and looking at the glittering prize that was housed in a cavity overlooking aforementioned statue. Seeing that the marble was there, winking innocently, she then looked around furtively…before quickly lifting the thing off the dais. Nothing happened, though.
At least… nothing yet.
