Kouji was suspecting that going on continuous runs while his lucky streak was high was a bit…dangerous for his health, so he’d backed off and had gotten busy with the orders for the Aquarium suddenly piling up; and the fact that he needed more breeding stock in order to produce more specially bred, nurtured Water-types for the Aquarium once it opened. He knew that the time of its launch was nigh, and that they were just biding their time and getting more and more Water-types ready, so he’d decided to leave the Ranch to his assistant and took a short break from breeding, and he was now all the way out here in the Ruins once again. He’d dressed up warmly for the exploration trip, wearing his best “winter gear” and was lugging along a small pack full of flash lights and water when he finally arrived at the scene some five hours later.
The reason for his delay was that there was a freak snowstorm that had blown through the area where he was travelling, forcing him to duck out of the road and wait until it had passed. Once it did pass, however, even higher drifts remained, and it took him an even longer period of time to melt the snow and finally traverse through the sticky stuff. As he looked up at the looming façade, he then muttered, “Well, this is it… time to search and look for nice things… or Fossils. Can never go wrong with Fossils,” as he then brought out several flash lights and shook one of them open, before strapping the other to his belt and plunging into the inky blackness, with just the beam of light in his hand to guide him through the place. 3 of 4 CODED BY SYLVIE

Kouji was now poking around the long corridor, peering into rooms here and there and shining the beam of the flash light down them individually. He knew that what he was searching for was either one or the other that he’d mentioned to himself earlier while psyching himself up in order to brace himself for whatever he would eventually encounter; he was just hoping that his luck didn’t turn incredibly sour right when he needed it the most. After backing out of a room where he’d seen nothing but smashed and scattered pieces of relics (the other thing he was secretly afraid of taking home) he then continued on his merry way through the Ruins, shining the flash light into the rest of the rooms but turning up nothing instead.Wondering if his luck was starting to crack, he then continued to search through the area, wandering into a room that he wasn’t too completely sure if it was rigged or not with a trap or something, and just shone the flash light down to the ground. After checking and re-checking to see that all the floor tiles were naturally aligned (considering their dilapidated structure) he then took a cautious step into the room and started searching through here. What he didn’t realize was that the room was triggered with a pressure trap, but he’d find out about that in due course. Right as he shined the beam of light down the center, he saw something glimmering—but why was it seemingly floating in mid-air? He then approached it ever so cautiously, and saw that the room was similar in design to the previous areas he’d visited, and then slowly, very carefully approached the fixture.Right in the cavity was another marble, and it was one he hadn’t seen yet. Just as he lifted the thing off the cavity, he then felt the room rumble… what was going on?! “Oh, hell no! Don’t tell me the place is still rigged!” he hissed, before it increased in volume and became a shout as this time, the dais was crumbling away—he had to make a break for it! As he leapt off the dais, the chain effect started—the floor began to crumble at his very weight, forcing him to literally think on his feet while on the move! “Ah, crap!” he continued to shout out as he watched the entrance cave in, leaving him trapped—and the floor was now slowly starting to melt away, as if angered by the removal of the room’s treasure! He then remembered that he had someone who could fly, but would he be amicable to having Kouji on his back?! “No time to check, no time to think!” he continued to shout, chastising himself out loud as he rummaged for the lone Safari Ball among his containment units on-hand, and quickly sent out the occupant in a flash of red light. As the Aerodactyl burst out of the red light, screeching at his release, he then flapped his wings and right then and there the last bit of floor that Kouji was standing on melted away, forcing him to press off and grab the Aero! “SKY! I’m sorry I called you at the worst time but THIS IS AN EMERGENCY! Try to work with me here!” he continued, as the Aero suddenly dipped lower at the increased weight he was now trying to support. As the Fossil ‘mon screeched his initial displeasure, before seeing the dire situation he was in, there was only one thing to do: stay airborne. “It’s okay, Sky! Don’t buck me off! Please! If you do I’m definitely going to die!!!” he added as a putrid stench suddenly assaulted his nostrils; where was it coming from?! He then chanced a look down and saw that it looked like something out of a nightmare…“UP! Sky, fly UP!” he continued as even the dais itself crumbled to nothing, revealing the full extent of the “trap” that was beneath him—something that looked like he’d only seen it in history books, plus it was bubbling quite ominously as the rocks were melted down into base matter. The Aero struggled to fly further up—and Kouji chanced to look up too, tightening his grip. Was it just him or was the room he’d stumbled in had no ceiling…? “Keep going up! Don’t stop until we’re clear out of the room!” he continued, and the Aero valiantly flapped his wings with all his strength, lugging both himself and the hapless, panicky human out of imminent danger. claiming, definitely!
