Yumi gave out one hell of a yawn as she rested back on the grassy plains of the wilds, head tilted up at the sky and her arms behind her head, giving her some extra comfort as she just layed back and watched the clouds roll by, her lazy little noivern currently snuggled up beside her, purring happily as the sun shined just a little brighter here than the rest of Nue. A nice little warm patch to lay down in and enjoy the heat that summer would soon bring itself. Yumi had been so hectic with gym battles and her new job recently, she actually felt a little relieved to just get a moment where she could do nothing and lay her head back.
Of course, par two of her current pokemon, her team may not have felt the same.
With Baymax, her scarf wearing abomasnow, laying beside her, actually enjoying the sunny day himself, Yumi would often tilt her head down to spot her other four team members sparring. Down one grassy hill was her Blaziken and sceptile. Terry was always up for a scrap, and despite the type difference, and only seeing it in brief glances, Yumi thought he was doing quite well. Tequill herself, having been trained so much by Ko-ken, was too forward with her attacks, always trying to strike when it was clear Terry was just waiting for her, dodging, and then delivering a strike of his own. Yumi even had to chuckle a little when he ended up round housing the back of her head without even using a move to power it up. It made her feel just a little proud to know her pokemon could do so well even against the odds...and it made her chuckle to see Tequill falter even when the odds were highly in her favour.
"Come on!~" Yumi sat up, cupping her mouth and calling out. "Use brave bird and take him out!~" Yumi just chuckled as she watched Tequill attempt the move, only to hit the dirt as Terry leapt over her once more, covering her mouth to stifle an even louder giggle, feeling both giddy and guilty in equal measure. With Ko-ken and Gavin also fighting on another hill, the tunnel expert versus the fist expert, it was creating enough noise for her abomasnow and Noivern to stay awake, and likely enough for any passerbys to hear the battling between the two pairs of pokemon.

So, of course, Izumi had already resigned herself to the fact that she was going to have to go all the way to Iceburgh (this time at least, as compared to the last two attempts which took place in Kalos) in order to try and challenge that blasted Tower. The first time she’d gotten an unceremonious welcome, the second… well she didn’t exactly want to think of what happened on the second attempt, so now she wanted to see if she could be able to get this one on her own terms, by herself. There was no way in hell she’d be shamed the third time around, and in the back of her mind, she knew that it was most definitely “gloves off” by this point in time.
I’ve lost way too many times now, so I hope this is the final time I actually have to go through this little nasty thing. Hopefully this time around I choose the right companions. I know I should’ve gone with her on take two… but this is just too much? Would they even give it to me after seeing how… tenacious I am? She mused to herself, walking past the Wilds, heading over to the still-not-yet complete place that she and Josh lived in together. They were roomies, what was wrong with moving in with your best friend/travelling companion/partner-in-crime? Anyway, back to where Izumi was walking, she heard several loud…noises interrupting her train of thought. Wondering if there was another extension being built, she then picked up the pace in order to investigate—but then remembered that their little piece of the Wilds that they called home was further down the road, and could only guess what was going on.
As she drew nearer to the source of the noise, she then squinted, the better to see what the hell was going on. She picked up on several blurs moving around the field, and a voice calling out to them—wait a second, wasn’t there something rather…familiar about this one? She then heard it call out once more, and then finally, it clicked—now she remembered who this was (sort of)! She then decided to veer in closer, the better to see what was going on. Izumi then met a scene; there was a normal-colored (was it? She knew that her own Blaziken shared its plumage with the color of a rainy sky and Josh’s was apparently the ‘shiny’ variation) Blaziken and something that looked like a bipedal reptile, only it had something that looked like the skeleton of a tree (Sceptile) that comprised its tail; and the two looked like they’d just gotten into some rough and tumble.
“Err… hi,” she called out to the redhead’s direction—she knew that she was a familiar face, having hosted the little shindig back in Slateport over the summer, but she couldn’t exactly remember the name that went with this person. “Mind if I go up there and join you?”

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
As Yumi sat up to watch her pokemon on the grassy plains do battle, she heard a small sound from down the hill, or rather a voice, resting her arms on her knee and her chin on said arms, she turned her gaze to the source, hearing both a familiar voice and questioning tone, her own face lighting up a litle as she swiftly recognized the source. As of yet she couldn't quite place the name, but she certainly recalled one of her finalists from the beach tournament she held so long ago. Heck it was one of the last things she ever remembered doing in Hoenn.
"Oh hey! Sure!~" Finally registering the question, she patted the nice little spot on the grass beside her, swaying her hand through the leafy blades to make sure all the morning Dew didn't wet the girl's rear when she sat down. Yumi herself swiftly climbing to her feet and taking a moment to catch her balance as she rose up just a little too fast, chuckling when she finally set on both feet, her Noivern beside her perking his head up to make sure she was okay, before slowly nuzzling back into his own folded wings beneath his head. "You're gonna need to give me a minute on the name, though you were from my tournament thing right?" She slowly began snapping her fingers, looking up into the sky as if trying to look inside her own head for the thought she was trying to recall.
"Zoo....zoo my....zoo-zoo...i-zoo....I...zoo...mi...IZUMI! That was it right?" She smiled a little with a goofy little chuckle as she was rather sure in herself she may have finally recalled someone's name, especially someone who she never actually had any personal connection with, seeing as they were just contestant and host back in Hoenn. Nevertheless, Yumi felt it polite to offer her hand to the other trainer. "Nice to see ya again. What brings you to Nue? Just following all the other recent moves down here?"
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Jan 13, 2015 7:24:48 GMT -5
After hearing the affirmative, Izumi then cracked a grin before scaling the uphill—it was a bit tricky, since the grass was still quite slippery due to the morning dew hanging on the blades. Several times she’d almost lost her balance, but after several minutes she’d finally gotten to the hilltop, up to where she finally remembered seeing this particular red-head! To her first question, she then cracked another grin, nodding. “Yep, I was there. The one with the crazy Empoleon and the airheaded Froslass who went through Sea Mauville in a panic,” she recounted, chuckling at the memories of that particular race. She then let out a chuckle at the first few attempts of her trying to get her name—at the same time, she was also trying to remember who the Beach Battle Banzai host’s name was, to be honest!
“Yes, that’s right, it’s me, Izumi. From Lavaridge,” she continued, taking the other girl’s hand and giving it a shake. “and… wait, I think… oh right, you’re… Yumi, right?” she continued, finally managing to remember the host’s name, before finally settling down on the grass as well. “What brings me here? New opportunities. And yeah, you could say that I kind of followed everyone else moving over here. It’s a whole new region, lots of stuff to do, places to explore… that kind of things,” she remarked, nodding at the final question. She then cast an eye at the two pairs of sparring Pokémon, before she asked, “Are all of them yours?”, indicating the Blaziken, the Sceptile, and the other two she’d spotted some distance away—she recognized one of them as being one that her Breeder also had, but the other one was something she wasn’t too familiar with—maybe Kouji knew about it.
“To be honest, I thought moving here would make it a hell of a lot easier… but as it turns out it’s not the case,” she continued, deciding on whether or not to tell her about her little… “problem” at present time. After a few moments of pondering, she then went on to continue, “Wait a second, weren’t you one of several Trainers who entered the Tourney over in the Indigo area? You and a couple of other people… I think I do remember seeing your fight… You did that weird thing with one of your own Pokémon and they transformed into something else, right?” before coming to a stop, hoping that it wasn’t too much to bother her with at this point in time.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi was glad to hear the girl recall her name, especially since she hardly expected her to...then again she really should have. Afterall Yumi's name was all over that tournament she hosted, heck she was even silly enough to put her name BEFORE the official name of the tournament. Still, it passed her mind for now, and even if she did recall that fact it was unlikely to make a difference to how she felt.
"Heh, I moved her myself for work, but it has been a hell of a time living here. Heck every other day for me is practically a day off, so I get to explore the wilds and stuff. Heck it's why I'm here now. This place is so big I'm surprised I ran into anyone, let alone someone I knew." It was an even nicer surprise when Izumi recalled something Yumi herself had nearly forgotten about, the tournament that had earned her all the cash to host her own. She even got a little giddy thinking about it, always proud of the fact she got to the semi finals, especially with that extra round she had to face in the beginning, giving a blissful sigh at the memories of the battles she faced there, rather than the old worried hiss she had when she recalled the first time Ko-ken had ever admitted defeat.
"Yeah that was me. Hit a wall known as Elinda in the semi finals but it was a great experience." The note of her blaziken brought another small smile to her features, or rather, continued the one she already had, chuckling a little as she looked over to the blaziken currently getting it's ass kicked by a sceptile. "Oh yeah, that was us. Here, I can even show ya if ya like."
Rising to her feet, Yumi gave a sharp whistle on her fingers, grabbing the attention of all four of her fighting pokemon, leaving Ko-ken open for Gavin to continue the punch he was throwing into the blue fighter's gut, leaving Yumi to hiss a little, almost feeling the pain her pokemon felt. "Sorry Ko-ken, just need Tequill right now." The blaziken blinked curiously, wondering what she could be needed for, but shrugged regardless, moving to her trainer's side and giving a quiet, curious call of her own species name. "Don't worry, not throwing you into a fight. Just needed you to show what you can do. Ya know, the special thing." The blaziken's expression immediately grew dull, finding it annoying how Yumi didn't just call it mega evolution like everyone else. With a shrug at her pokemon's clear annoyance, she gestured for the pokemon to stand a few feet away, knowing full well it wasn't good to be close when this happened. "Here we go.~"
Raising up her wrist, Yumi pressed down on the gem that was held in her Bracelet. It shined bright, and soon, her blaziken was enveloped in a much brighter glow. A circle of flames appeared around her feat, before shooting up skyward, engulfing her in flames, only to dissipated as tequill spread her arms, standing strong in her mega form, her body seeming taller and more lither, and her hair, usually tied in a ponytail to hide it's length, standing up behind her, the hairband vanishing with the megastone it held.

Izumi knew that everyone had their own reasons for moving over to the new region—in her case it was literally an empty canvas, ready to fill up with whatever ideas she wanted to. She was itching to go visit the Izakaya in Shui—however, they were holding out just fine, and she’d already dropped a surprise visit on them a few days before, so no need to turn up a few days after the first unannounced appearance yet. In any case, she then nodded upon hearing the name of the woman who had seemingly won the entire shebang after going up against what happened to be a Dragon Trainer—or was it? “Well, Elinda won the entire thing fair and square, that’s that. The final match was just… whoa. I can’t find the words to express what I saw there,” she said in a quiet tone, mostly in awe of the individual who had come out on top.
She then watched as majority of the ‘mons who were either sparring (or just flat-out lazing around) then began to gather around her, before beckoning her own Blaziken forward. Seeing that she’d stood back several paces, she then did the same; because who knew what was going to happen. Little did she realize that she literally had a front seat to the “magic” that she’d seen the last time; when she was watching the matches, her seat was a bit further out from the arena than she’d liked, but thanks to the widescreens set up in the arena, she was able to see what had happened—or rather, what was happening right now. The Blaziken wasn’t scared, not a bit. What happened next, however, blew her completely out of her mind, making her stare in awe.
On the inside though, it hurt a bit to see that this was the knowledge she had been chasing for so long, only to end up getting denied not just once, but twice! After the sudden burst of light had faded, she then blinked—but then noticed that the Blaziken looked much different. “Whoa. No, seriously… how on earth…” she began, before starting to walk around the Blaziken—it still looked like the normal bipedal Pokémon that she was used to, but at the same time it was a completely different entity. “…so a Blaziken can do that? Any Blaziken, regardless of plumage color?” she inquired, looking at the increased height and the increased musculature of the Blaziken that she’d seen just sparring with the Christmas Tree Sceptile (not that she knew what the Sceptile was called yet) just earlier. She then let out a low whistle of appreciation, before turning towards the redhead and then deciding to just get on with it and ask her about it.
“Well, here’s the thing. Now that you’ve shown me up-close and personal how this happens… I’ve actually tried to get the knowledge of how that’s done. I know what the stones are, and what a Key Stone is,” she continued, briefly lifting out her own carrying case and showing Yumi a portion of the glittering payload that it housed within—“…but otherwise, I have no idea how it actually happens. I tried to challenge it twice; the first time I was unceremoniously kicked out because I’ll admit I wasn’t prepared; the second one ended in an annoying stalemate. The second time, I was with a partner, but we had to bail because things got way too hairy and it spun out of control,” she trailed off, blotting out the terror that she’d experienced in Shalour for the second time with a fervent shake of her head.
“I don’t know if there’s a way to get the knowledge without actually battling someone for it, because… to be honest… I suck at battling against other people so bad, even my own attempts at chasing a Gym Badge in Hoenn ended quite horribly. So I kind of need some help here, and I saw your performance in the Tournament—you can hold your own, definitely—and I was hoping that I could get some pointers…?” she ended with a hopeful look on her face.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
(Sorry some of these are short. In school, plus never was good with the talking portions)
Yumi rested her hands on her hips as she watched Izumi circle her blaizken, proud of her own pokemon and what it could achieve, and even giving a soft chuckled as the fire bird itself seemed a little nervous about the girl circling it. She made sure to keep her arms closer to her chest, just to ensure the flame ribbons burning from her wrists didn't catch the trainer in the face or something, giving Yumi a small look that told her she was okay with NOT being paraded like a show ponyta. Yumi only gave another small chuckle before waving the blaziken off. Sure the transformation wouldn't die out just yet, but Tequill was glad for the extra space.
"So yeah, that's my special little trick, learned it from some-" Yumi would stop as something Izumi said caught her attention. It seemed Izumi knew full well how to achieve the knowledge, but had failed in doing so time and time again. Yumi gave a gentle sigh as she recalled a time where she'd revisited the tower and found the challenge rather difficult without the aid of that white haired fellow who'd helped her the first time. She only wondered what Izumi must have gone through to seem so glum about it.
"Pointers huh...heh...well I ain't much of a battler myself." She gave a weary little chuckle, remembering some of her more recent battles. "Heck I can't even beat an ice gym leader with fire types, and that win against Gwyneth? Nearly tempted to call that a fluke in all honesty." She still chuckled through her self bashing, finding it all held some hint of truth to it. "But...ah what the heck. I'll help ya out." She offered her hand as if for Izumi to shake it, only to quickly point it at her face. "But, I ain't no disher of crappy advice. You wanna learn? You learn in the moment!~ Double battle, you and me, league rules. Deal?" She offered her hand again, hoping that her eagerness for a battle didn't show too much.
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Jan 14, 2015 8:31:03 GMT -5
“You’re not much of a battler?” she began with a chuckle, before sizing up the much-taller Blaziken, sorely tempted to bring out Zira right then and there—but at the last second, thought against it anyways, because even her own Pokémon were starting to pick up on how she felt. “At least you made it to the semis,” she continued with a grin on her face. She was about to shake the outstretched hand, before it became a pointed gesture in her direction. Doubles… this is it then. No more turning back… she thought with a rather passive look on her face, before looking up and then deciding, what did she have to lose, she was here to pick up pointers anyway? “Alright, you have a deal,” she said with a look on her face that clearly stated she was game for anything.
She then took a few steps back, before deciding to give them enough room for their own ‘mons to maneuver. Already a hand was on a certain, peculiarly-battered, weathered Love Ball, the pink fading away to reveal a deeper shade of rusted red underneath. The Gardevoir inside looked up at her before nodding, a sign that she was ready. “Well, here goes,” she said, plucking out a Friend Ball, where a Typhlosion was waiting to be sent out. As she popped the two containment units to full size, she then let them soar into the sky, releasing their occupants in a flash of red light. The first to hit the ground was a Typhlosion, taller than most of his species if not bulkier. “Graaa?” she heard Arashi growl out in his usual mellow tones, before turning around and looking at Izumi curiously. The second flash of light then transformed into her long-time partner, her almost-sister, Momiji the Gardevoir who then looked around, getting a scope of the entire area.
“Hold it, don’t do anything yet,” she continued, addressing the two—the Gardevoir was itching to get started, while her companion was still in the middle of assessing the situation.
"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
(A little gift for delaying this)
Yumi thought for a moment as she saw the pokemon pulled up to face her. She knew the pokemon she wanted to bring out herself, but wondered if it would truly be such a good idea against a fire type, especially with the plan she had in mind...it wasn't hard for her to decide it was worth the risk, and hey, while she was putting things to chance, why not add a fun little gambit to this game?~
"Alright then!~ Baymax! Terry!~" The Abomasnow still a little lazy on the floor beside her covered his ears as his name was shouted, mumbling something under his fluffy maw as he climbed to his feet, and the sceptile that once was fighting the now mega evolved blaziken was standing beside Yumi, both pokemon ready for a battle, especially since that seemed to be what they'd be getting. Now for the little extra spice.
"Tell ya what!~ You were a pretty good trainer in my tournament! If you can beat Baymax and Terry, and of course by extension, me, I will teach you everything I know about Mega evolving personally!~" She knew that was something that would get Izumi doing her best. Sure maybe Yumi herself had to constantly check a book whenever she needed to test out a new gem, but she knew a pretty good amount about how to mega evolve, so she'd be sure to give Izumi plenty to work off of. With her opponent likely in a state of minor shock, she waisted no time in getting started.
"And don't think I'll go easy!~ Baymax! Ultimate start!"
The abomasnow gave a huge smile. Despite being the laziest of the fighters here, he could pack quite the punch, especially when moving first in a doubles battle. With his arms raised up, he canceled his own hail ability with a sunny day, the clouds he made parting and letting in rays of light. As if that wasn't bad enough, he invoked growth in triplicate! Vines wrapped around his arms and legs, and his attack on both fronts was soon beefed to the max!
Post by Izumi Yamamura on Jan 28, 2015 9:01:26 GMT -5
By this point, the Gardevoir had already settled herself into a certain rhythm; while her companion was still looking around rather curiously—what was going to be happening anyway? As Izumi whistled, the better to get Arashi’s attention (because she could tell, the more skittish and curious he got, the more his attention span was waning) she then looked up at what Yumi had going—she then saw the “Christmas Tree” was now standing beside something that looked vaguely familiar—was it because it resembled her own Snover, who she’d renamd Jack? She then let out a shriek as the bigger version of her Jack then tried to whip up some crazy weather; but instead of hearing the cries of the mountain coming down in a frigid cold breath, the heavens split open and intense rays of sunshine rained down on them.
What she did not miss, though, was the fact that not only had she gotten a complement from Yumi about her participation in the little Beach Battle Bonanza, there was also a bit of a surprise in it! She then shook her head and stared agape for a few moments—making sure that her brain had processed it right. Her lips then curved into a grin; and then she knew that this was going to be one of the toughest mountains that she had to climb! “Alright, same to you!” she shouted from her end of the ‘field’, and then the game was set. Looks like she wants me to make the first move… but then again... she thought as she scanned it. She was at a somewhat advantage here, but one could never be too sure of themselves.
Okay, that gets rid of Solarbeam; since their both Grass… so I better be careful… she mused as she then nodded to her Gardevoir; who then approached the Typhlosion and then proceeded to tap his forehead with her limb, before stepping to the back. “Let’s get this goin’! Momiji, Arashi, you both know as much as I do that he’s watching us from somewhere. Make this count!” she said, bolstering the two with her speech, before changing gears and then nodding. “Set up the guard and focus your energy well, Momo. Ara, standby until I tell you to move…” she muttered; and quick as a fiddle, the Gardevoir raised her own limbs to the heavens, as if praying for something to happen. In all reality, all that Izumi heard was the snapping of a certain something into place; and then she felt the energy between the air humming rather loudly—the Gardevoir had now entered into a calm, meditative state.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Smart moves Zumi. But lets see if they can hold up.
"Buffing your stats huh? Very clever. Especially with a focus on special defense, you really show you know what your up against. Not that it will always help you of course." She smiled to both of her pokemon, each of them classified as "bred to battle", meaning they had a few extra tricks up their sleeves if it came to it. "Some pokemon can be full of surprises."
With a nod to her sceptile, the "christmas tree" was ready to make his move. Following his opponents, he ensured that he and his friend Baymax wouldn't fall victim to any unwanted status conditions. Crossing his arms over his chest, claws held out like the muscles in his palms were tightening from the power of his move, a soft gentle glow signified the arrival of a safeguard over both of the red head's pokemon. Not satisified with being on the defensive however, the Sceptile used his agility to charge forward, seeing a need to take out the Gardevoir first and foremost, knowing full well from the Gardevoir on their own team that this pokemon was not one you wanted to let survive for too long. With a claw raised up, he attempted to make a quick and swift aerial ace strike through his charge, his agility allowing him to zig and zag in order to make himself a harder target to strike on his approach.
Baymax, with his power already maxed out, wanted to try and get rid of the fire type. It was the biggest threat to him and Terry, so it needed to go down and fast. He either had to keep it busy, or take it out entirely. While normally an earthquake would be his go to move for such a threat, a small look from Yumi told him he shouldn't go all out just yet. They needed to apparently test this raven haired trainer, so it was best if they took their time. While not his first choice, his buffed up attack allowed him to use his rather "Unusual" move for his species. The sunny day making it even more viable.
"ABOMA!"
As his friend darted forth in his zig zag pattern, Baymax reared his head back, a ball of pure light forming in his maw, taking in the energy of the burning sun above, before unleashing a powerful steam in the form of his solarbeam right for the fire type. Low effective, yes, but his buffed up power showed that this one held one HELL of a punch.

Now that things were most certainly heating up, Izumi scanned the field ever-so-carefully; because she thought she’d seen something flickering for a few seconds on Yumi’s side of the field—before her own ‘mons charged forward, with the ‘Christmas Tree’ taking the lead! Seeing that it was zigging, then zagging alternately while charging forward, she then knew that she had to take out at least one; if not both; of them before things got rather hairy. Noting that the Sceptile (not that she knew what it was called) was heading towards her Gardevoir; she then weighed the scale; would she start popping in and out now; or tank it and risk boosting her stats even further? “Momi, I doubt you can get out of the way!” she began; watching as the Sceptile unloaded something that looked suspiciously like Aerial Ace.
The Gardevoir then threw up her limbs; as if attempting to soften the effect of the attack; but it still stung; and the beginning of scuffle marks appeared on her limbs as she took the Aerial Ace, unable to dodge or block it in any way, shape or form. “Alright, Momo; boost up once again with your Calm Mind… and let’s try out that new attack; try to glamour it and catch it off-guard with that! Dazzling Gleam!” she continued, pointing forward ala a certain lawyer whenever he wanted to make an outright objection. Over at where the Gardevoir stood, she nodded, before quickly spreading out her limbs and emitting the fabulous, sparkling flash of light on contact—she knew that the Calm Mind amped up any attacks of the Special kind, that much was certain.
Over at where her Typhlosion was now watching; she then caught sight of the incoming—“Oh shit, seriously? Ara, block it with Flamethrower! Then continue with Rock Slide!” she shouted, quickly shifting her attention to the Typhlosion, who was now hunched down on all fours. She knew that the Sunny Day effect hit not just Yumi’s, but also her side of the field—so was there a chance? The Typhlosion then roared, before standing his ground and breathing out an intense blast of flames; not as crazy as Fire Blast (which came in a certain shape) but hopefully it would be blocked! Soon afterward, the Typhlosion then stood up, before proceeding to stomp down on the grass—and all manner of boulders, some small, some even larger but still a respectable size, suddenly began to rain down on the opponent’s side of the field!
Gah, I don’t know if that was wise, she mused to herself as she then threw up her hands to protect from the flying grit that the barrage of rocks had thrown up and caused.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Ooooooooookay. Maybe promising mega knowledge was NOT the best idea without having seeing Izumi in a battle first. Sceptile was a good duo with her abomasnow, but that didn't necessarily mean he was built for double battles. That shine on the gardevoir was one Yumi herself knew all too well. The burning shine of a dazzling gleam that was about to anhialate her Sceptile and leave a big dent in her abomasnow...there was only one solution, and while Yumi had wanted to hold off a little, she supposed it would be all out, or nothing.
"Blizzard! We need to make sure that light can't travel!"
With a nod from both pokemon, Terry used another bout of agility to travel quickly back towards the abomasnow Baymax. The frosty giant raised both hands, his vine cothered arms puting far more power behind his blizzard than normal, unleashing an impressive blast of the cold snow that, like any natural blizzard you would encounter, created a fog like enviroment so thick, you wouldn't be able to see 2 feet ahead of yourself. With the burning light of the dazzling gleam and the heat of the sun and flamethrower ensuring that the blizzard did not travel far enough to harm her opponents, Yumi was at least thankful for the light barrier it put between her pokemon and the dazzling gleam.
"Terry! Rock slide! Take care of it!"
Spotting the rocks coming from above, Terry had little worry. The leaves upon his arms burned a bright green, leaping up above Baymax and standing upon the frosty giant's shoulders, his leaf blades cutting swiftly through all the rocks that would land upon them, leaving him grinning as he struck a powerful pose from the shoulders of his partner. Still, Yumi wasn't feeling TOO confident. She had to make sure this wasn't a walk in the park for Izumi, and if that meant keeping Terry from his short range attacks, then so be it. So far, the only true threat was that Gardevoir. Dazzling gleam was not something she wanted to put up with...
"And now...let's do this. EARTHQUAKE!"
With a small smile beneath his frilly flakey mustache, Baymax rose up his arms, before swiftly slamming them down into the earth. With a stong, powerful tremor, and earthquake ravaged the battlefield, even effecting the sceptile on his shoulders, leaving Yumi thankful for Terry's strength against such an attack, though she did wonder how Izumi herself would handle it.

Who knew that the new trick that her Gardevoir had picked up would be useful in times and situations like this? She then blinked; the better to get rid of the after glare that had burned itself onto her retinas—and saw that the entire battlefield had suddenly turned into something out of The Walking Dead—all the fog and grit that hung in the air really made it rather hard to see. She then felt the earth trembling underfoot—realizing that there was something amiss.
“Ara! Jump up, and then boost yourself into the sky with Flamethrower! Momiji, you already know how to dodge that! After that, I leave the rest in your hands—do what you must!” she shouted, feeling the ground suddenly shake rather violently. It was no Bulldoze, that’s for sure—it was Earthquake!
Wasting no time, the Gardevoir then dematerialized out of the picture, having used Teleport to avoid the damage. The Typho was a bit trickier to maneuver; but the moment he’d heard the shout coming from Izumi, he then propelled himself off the ground—before twisting around and breathing a blast of Flamethrower on the ground; the better to propel himself into the air above the trembling ground. She knew that the Rock Slide detritus had been unceremoniously shredded to bits by something that she could only make out shredding the boulders into nothing but grit; so there was going to be landing problems.
Either way, the Typhlosion was now airborne, and Izumi then took the cue, “Ara! Extrasense at the Christmas tree, now!” and watched as the airborne Typho then screwed his face up into complete concentration, releasing an unseen power—it was definitely heading towards the Sceptile, in any case.
She then cleared her throat and then continued, “Momiji, come out now and unload another flash of that fabulous light—Dazzling Gleam once again!”, trying to scan the field of battle; where the hell was her Gardevoir going to appear? The answer became apparent as the Gardevoir herself materialized in mid-air; as if landing—before unloading another sudden burst of light—this time Izumi made sure to look away because the glare was just too much for unprotected eyes to handle, in any case.
Gardevoir dodges Earthquake with Teleport; while Typho jumps up and boosts self further into the air with Flamethrower (the Typho stunt jump+Flamethrower counts as one move/dodge, according to Mur).
Typho then unleashes Extrasensory on the Christmas tree Sceptile; while Gardevoir re-materializes before unleashing another Dazzling Gleam!

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
(Contact me on skype next chance ya get, or PM. Need to discuss something)
(Also, sorry if this is short, in a rush and know youve been waiting)
Yumi grit her teeth, watching izumi use a trick she'd tried in the past and actually succeeding with it, unlike Yumi herself. Perhaps it was the difference in enviroment, but whatever the case, it just proved this battle was not currently going in her favor. She needed to do something and fast. Her Earthquake proved inneffective, and her blizzard was becoming redundant. The Gardvoir could easily take the hit, and the Typhlosion would likely be able to defend against it with ease. Instead, Yumi had to take a risk.
"Baymax! Provide cover against that dazzling gleam! Terry! Move in and get in a strike!"
The two pokemon nodded, Baymax using the same tactic as before and using a blizzard to block the light travelling from the gardevoir, Terry using a break in the winds to charge forward, his agility allowing him to move so quickly towards the Typhlosion, he would be out of the path of the Extrassensory within an instant, closing distance and dodging the attack all in a single, darting motion. In an instant, he was in the face of the fire type, rearing his arm back. At the last moment, his sword dance activated, and he struck hard with his aerial ace, slicing through the Typhlosion and likely screeching to a halt behind it, ready to move in an instant if he needed to.
