After coming off from their latest Ruins search, they were back for more. As always, Izumi had decided to take the lead this time around, getting to the on-site location before Josh even did. She knew that he’d take some time to arrive—as he’d said that he was on a few errands from his mother, or something similar to that—and that she could go on ahead, and he’d catch up after her. Now that she was waiting outside the entrance to the next section of Ruins that they were going to explore, she then took out her mobile phone and proceeded to fiddle with it—before realizing that there was next to no reception in this weird area!
“What the hell? Seriously?” she began, hissing in displeasure as she then pocketed the mobile unit and then looked up at the sky—it had cleared out after a freak snow storm had blown through the place some hours prior. She was sorely tempted to send out one of her Pokémon in order to keep warm, but there was something about the musty dampness that felt…”warm”, in a way. She then began whistling, wondering how the Izakaya over in Shui was doing—were the lines really long again? Was there a demand for some new food source? Shed find out on a future visit—but for now, exploring the Ruins was top priority; and it was even more fun if one did it with a partner!

This time, Josh had taken a different mount to the ruins. Izumi would feel the ground shake a bit as a Rhyhorn would make it's presence known, with Josh riding on it's back. It seemed he was trying to take Turk for a spin. The Rhyhorn would stop in front of Izumi and Josh would wave casually. "Ey there, Smellzy" He teased with a small smile as he patted Turk on the head and returned him to his Pokeball, taking out his phone and noticing that the signal was dead. "Damnit, really?" He asked, sighing as he put it away and looked over at her, heading in.
"Well, this blows" He said, taking a breath as he made sure Izumi had followed along. "What's new? Any new spices lately?" He would tease playfully with a smirk. "Seriously, mom's been running me ragged with errands. It's like she's making sure I do all I can before I go on a journey again" He cracked with a laugh.

She could feel the ground tremble—was there an earthquake?! Izumi proceeded to look around wildly—but then came to a stop upon realizing that it was just Josh, who’d decided to take a different mode of transportation to the Ruins this time around. “Gosh, don’t make the ground quake like that,” she began, watching as he hopped off the Rhyhorn and then returned the big guy to its containment unit. After hearing his rather…flowery way of expressing his dismay at discovering that there was next to no cell signal reception in the Ruins, she chuckled before following him inside. She then took out a flash light, and after a few seconds of shaking, the beam of light then poured out of the end, and began travelling up and down, as if looking for something.
“Well, J, it would help if you came by Shui and tried out the Izakaya. You’d be surprised at the volume of people who’re trying to get in, especially on Fridays,” she continued with a chuckle as she began looking into suspicious crevices in the walls; while also focusing her attention to the floor—just in case there was something half-buried in the grit for her to pull out. It didn’t take too long for something to catch her attention—by very nearly causing her to trip over backwards, the way her left foot came down on the thing! “WHOA!” she shrieked a few moments later, very nearly losing her balance and ending up on the cold, musty stone floor. “What the hell?!” she continued, righting herself eventually, having experienced that mini heart-attack like feeling after very nearly losing her footing.
After recovering herself, she then crouched down and plucked up the offending item—it was revealed to be a marble! “Wait a second… hey, isn’t this…” she trailed off, before bursting out into a fit of laughter. “Oh, my god it’s so perfect, I’ll take this!” she continued, chuckling with glee as she pocketed the nice little marble.

Josh smirked and chuckled a bit in response. "Ah, Zuzu, I suppose I could" He said, cracking his neck in irritation, it seems he still wasn't used to keeping his shoulders together for Rhyhorn Riding, aye? "I'll find a time. Maybe on Friday, since you mentioned it. Just need to find a time, day and again, a time. Time is essential, I'm busy all the time" He said with a laugh.
And just like that, Izumi had found something rare and valuable, another fucking mega stone. He smirked a bit, happy for her, but a little irritated that he was probably going to be in for a long ride, if he even found anything good at all. And just like that, he found junk on the ground at his feet. Yep. Junk. He rolled his eyes. Great, he thought. His luck was still bad, he thought again as he kicked it.

And as they continued, Josh still seemed to have no luck. Fuck sakes, since New Years, it'd been like he was cursed. "Bust, bust, bust..." He muttered irritably as he walked, kicking the ground in obvious frustration. And just like that, he had kicked a Dawn Stone which flew through the hall and fell into a hole.
Josh stared blankly for a moment. While he didn't give two Hoothoots about a Dawn Stone, it was just a testament to how bad his luck was here. His ears grew a little red, as he tried to calm himself down. Josh would quickly take a deep breath, trying to prevent himself from losing it in frustration. Hopefully the next one would be better.... Hopefully the next one... The next one....
"Ugh...." He muttered, looking around to see if there was anything else in the room, before he would move on, hoping his luck would get better. Hopefully.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RARE BONE! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops.

Josh couldn't help but sigh. It was getting dark already and he hadn't found a damn thing. Why was it that Izumi had managed to snag something great right at the start, while he was still just finding junk and evolution stones he could buy for 35 bucks? It was frustrating, and he let out a sigh. "Alright, that's it. Go Destructor!" Josh suddenly called as he let out his Bunnelby. "Alright Destructor, you know the drill. Dig the fuck through these ruins till you find something!" He said. "Bunnelby!" Destructor let out with a salute, excited to get back to digging as he would burrow into the ground and get searching!
Josh would hear a crack as he would look down to see he'd broken another bone. He let out a groan in irritation, and facepalmed. Great. Great. Just great. Why was this happening to him? Why was his luck so damn bad?

Izumi was wondering what was going on with her companion, what was it with him and encountering nothing but junk—the bad kind—and she then walked forward before giving him a gently nudge on the shoulder. “Eh, them’s the pits, but what can we do about it, we got to get what we’re given…” she said with a sympathetic tone. “I don’t know why our luck constantly fluctuates… sometimes we don’t get nothing, sometimes only one of us gets something… urrrgh, in any case,” she trailed off, giving his shoulder a gently bump before continuing, “…why not we go over to Shui after this, I’ll show you to the Izakaya? You don’t have to pay, I own the place and I can get you a free meal no sweat. That, plus I want to surprise them with an unexpected visit,” she ended gently.
She could only wonder as to what was causing the gods of luck to send Josh bad luck most of the time lately. Don’t tell me the galaxies of feathered avians have run out? But that’s impossible… she mused to herself as she then waited for Josh to pick up his find so that they could be on their way. It was a Moon Stone, from the looks of things. “H-hey, at least you can evolve some of the ones that use that in order to reach their final forms… or something,” she attempted at a crack to make him laugh, but who knew if he was going to crack up at her quip? She then looked at him carefully, hoping that he wouldn’t go on “complete meltdown mode” with her right there…

"Yeah..." He said dismally in response to her nudge. "Hasn't been a good week for us, by the looks of it. If I don't find shit soon, we might as well head out and come back another time" He said. "And... I suppose, I don't see why not" He said in response to her offer, looking back at Izumi. "Might as well. Beats hanging around here miserable. Maybe some food in my belly could help" He said with a chuckle, but that good mood was gone the moment he looked down at the Moon Stone. He would pick it up, then at the fact it was dark out already... He stopped dead. Cold. This was what he was stuck with. He let out a sigh and pocketed it. He didn't throw a fit.. But damn, he wasn't happy.
"Let's just fucking go" He said irritably, shaking his head as he made his way out.
