MAKE MY WISH COME TRUE
TAKE NOTE
[attr="class","letitscroll2"]Merry Christmas to Sera! Thank you for being an awesome, patient and understanding little dork.
Sera Werner[attr="id","engi"]
[attr="class","letitscroll"]“I don’t want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need…”
Tossing the keys into the bowl on the table beside the front door, stepping out of his shoes and kicking them to the side with the small pile of other shoes, Engel Werner was going to be home for Christmas for the first time in a couple of years.
“And I don’t care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree…”
Softly singing under his breath as he pulled off his coat and emptied the rest of his pockets into the bowl, he smiled softly to himself as he imagined his sister’s face when she’d wake up to him probably crashed in the living room. He was as quiet as a mouse as he made his way into their new apartment, a beautiful upgrade in comparison to their last home. Taking a deep breath and letting it out softly, he looked to the side to see a small little Christmas tree had been set up on the living room table. It was an old miniature artificial tree Engel had gotten for Sera all the way back when she was just ten-years-old. Bright pink with blue and white ornaments and bright white lights with a glowing star topping it off, he couldn’t help but feel warmed by the sight of the old thing still working so well. Their house wasn’t covered in tinsel and fake snow, little displays or lights and tinsel. It was just this little tree and he was content with that. Surely Sera wanted more, but that was something he’d set up in the future.
“I won’t ask for much this Christmas, I won’t even wish for snow…”
Digging into his pocket to pull out a little something or other, Engel inspect the mystery object with a little grin before promptly shoving it back in his pocket. He’d set that up in a moment, but first… There was dino-cakes to make, with the best God damn omelets and bacon, too. He’d finally pull that cookie dough out from hiding so that could get set up before they’d evacuate to Rhafiel’s place as well.
“There’s no sense in hanging stockings there upon the fire place, because Santa he won’t make me happy with a toy on Christmas day…”
Sleeves rolled back, carrying on as quiet as he could with Tik acting as his vigilant eyes on Sera’s door, he didn’t turn on music as he typically did when making breakfast. Instead he simply focused on being as quiet as he could, not wishing to wake Sera up just yet. A look out the windows would show the sun hadn’t even risen yet, and Engel had likely not gotten much sleep the previous couple of days, but that didn’t stop him. Getting the pancakes batter set up, bacon in the oven, eggs on the other side of the stove, he was a cooking machine and in minutes, the perfect breakfast platter was set up on the counter.
“And all the lights are shining so brightly everywhere…”
He reached into his pocket to pull out a pokéball and clicked it on the counter like trying to crack an egg. The Pokémon inside would appear beside him with an adorable curious look up at him. “Alright Buttons, let’s get you ready” he chuckled, kneeling down to pick up the small Pokémon and carry him to the living room and set the Pokémon down beside the little Christmas tree. With his own snack to nibble on, the little thing didn’t even think twice of the ribbon being wrapped around its neck. Years of tying bows and playing dress up with a girly girl, Engel was a master of the perfect bow knot, ensuring the red ribbon bow on the back of the Pokémon’s neck was perfect. He set up a Hallmark classy card on the table beside the Pokémon and gave a light yawn before addressing the present. “Kay, I need you to stay right here, got it?” he instructed and Buttons just gave a nod as he nibbled on his treat.
Going to set the food in the microwave, and clean up his mess, Engel picked up his own – less pretty – plate of food and moved to drop on the couch to get off of his feet finally. Laying there with the little Pokémon’s eyes on him, he slowly looked over at it before flicking a piece of bacon to it. Buttons would capture the bacon bit in his mouth and seem very much content with just that.
Hours ticked by before Sera Jessica Werner would emerge from her room on this joyous Christmas day. If she went to investigate the smell of breakfast from the kitchen, she’d find a still very warm plate of food in the microwave just for her, complete with the trademark stegosaurs pancake and bacon and eggs that looked like a smilie face. To the living room with the food for Christmas morning cartoons and...

She’d come across a peculiar sight.
With his mouth wide, and out like a light
There laid Engel Werner with his eyes shut tight
With a empty plate on the table to his right,
And a smile on his face, however slight
Had managed to sneak in the previous night
But he was not the only one there
For by her beloved Christmas tree was a little bear
Though he’d given the card a little tear
While waiting for some love and care
This was a gift she could, her time with, share
(Read the last part of that line like Yoda if you dare)
Now I’m not a poet, and I can’t rhyme
But I’d like to thank you for your time
When she picks up the card,
To read it won’t be hard
All it will say is…
“Merry Christmas Sera, and a Happy New Year from a brother with love,
Just remember you’re far more pretty than a Pidove ♥”
