After letting a few more days stew over his discoveries, Kouji then decided to return back to the Ruins; because he’d actually…missed exploring the place. Hoping that the entrance he’d be able to gain access to hadn’t been already raided by all the previous explorers, he then decided to take his time dressing up—noting that the nights were getting longer, and the days were most definitely getting shorter; and the wind was definitely getting much, much colder. He then sighed, before pulling on an undershirt; then a thick sweater; and then piled on a jacket over it; before tucking in a pair of shorts, before piling on a thick pair of jeans.
He already had leg warmers on, as well as several pairs of socks—and made a last-minute scramble to wear the gloves; before finally wrapping a long, ash-gray scarf around his neck and then slipping on a pair of earmuffs; and then tucking several flash lights into the hidden pockets of his jackets.
Now that he was adequately bundled up, he then made his way down to the Ruins; accompanied by his Gallade, who could only wonder as to why his master was dressed up for a blizzard…or two that was about to hit them; even if the Ruins was situated in a spot where winter was mostly cold winds and musty, damp floors. “S-sorry, Rymi. Had to dress up since the wind’s getting colder…” he began, chattering his teeth slightly as he reached for one of the flash lights in his jackets and flickering the thing on, before a beam shone out of one end. “Shall we?” he asked, and the Gallade solemnly nodded, before leading the way into the Ruins…
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC CROWN! A crown made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

He let the Gallade take the lead, just in case they ran across a grove of overhanging vines from the ceiling—he was holding the flash light, but his Gallade could just simply hack away at the vegetation in order to clear a path. As the two ventured in deeper into the Ruins, they began to look around, Kouji more so by shining the beam of the flash light around places, trying to pick out if he was going to be able to see something sparkling or not. He then sighed, as the first few rooms that they’d come across had already been unceremoniously ransacked, a sign that people had already been here before him.
“Nothing to be gained in this part of the Ruins… let’s go in deeper,” he said, and the Gallade nodded quietly once again, before taking the lead and hacking away at any overhanging obstacles, the better to clear a path for his master. Sooner or later, he was in another long hallway, and there were rooms that literally branched off at every turn—a perfect spot to go search and hope for the best! The Gallade then wandered ahead, trying to look for the same weird things that he’d spotted the last time—and Kouji was now peering into the rooms one by one.
“Nope, nope, nope…” he muttered as he shined the beam of light and looked into the first few rooms he’d passed—and upon seeing a weird sort of rocky crown, shook his head rather fervently. “Definitely not…” he said to himself as he backed away and then continued to look through the other rooms.

Kouji was now stumbling along the somewhat damp stretch of corridor that he was walking through—while the Gallade was searching on ahead, looking for something that was shining, shimmering, and splendid—at least that’s what his master called the sparkling things. Shaking his head at his master’s weirdness that exhibited itself from time to time, the Gallade continued to push away overturned rocks and slashing away vines that were sprouting from the ceiling, trying to keep an eye out for something that fit that strange criteria. Over at where Kouji was searching, he then made another turn and shined the flash light in another room, trying to pick out if there was anything left for him to salvage and take back.
“Nope, this place has been crashed, searched, and burned…” he sighed, before looking around and slowly backing out of the place where he’d searched for something. As he returned to the hallway, he then felt himself brush up against something… that was gritty. He then turned around on the spot and then looked at the wall where he’d backed into—and saw that there was seemingly a slot in it. He then shone the beam of the flash light into the seemingly-gaping hole that he’d stumbled across—and saw something glittering not too far ahead. He then pondered on the possibilities of a decapitation trap if he stuck his hand in the hole, but decided to go ahead and shove it in—and rammed his long arm into the hole.
A few more moments of fiddling, he then found his hand close around something, and quickly pulled it out, revealing that the thing he was holding…was caked in grit. After a few more seconds of cleaning off the must and grit that had clung to its surface, it then revealed that it was yet another rainbow-colored rock, which he found completely strange considering the hiding place it had been tossed into. “Huh… well…” he contemplated for a few seconds, before quickly rolling the rainbow stone back into the hole, and resuming his search.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Relic Vase! A vase made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

Apparently, who would’ve thought that returning the rainbow-colored marble into the crevice where he’d found it would turn out to be a mistake? Kouji then continued to search through the area, hoping to find something sparkly and round, hopefully something like what his Gallade had found the last time… and how about that Gallade, what was he up to? Over at where Rymista was now busy hacking away and slashing through the overgrowth that he’d currently found himself looking at, he then blinked, before powering himself up once again with Swords Dance in order to be able to hack through more vines—because his current level of power didn’t do squat to the thick vines that were blocking the way. As the Gallade then managed to hack through the thick undergrowth, it then noticed something in the room beyond the vines that were blocking the way—and proceeded to demolish the vines in a rather brusque manner.
After hacking and shoving the vines aside, the Pokemon had finally managed to fit himself into the small room beyond—where, upon what appeared to be an altar, a vase sat rather prominently. Snorting in disgust, the Gallade then turned around—when the opening he’d come into had seemingly vanished. What was going on?! The Gallade then proceeded to power himself up with Swords Dance; before literally hacinkg and crashing his way through the wall—he’d rather not get trapped in the room where the vase was; and a rather loud crumbling noise had erupted from the space where he’d accidentally trapped himself in mere seconds earlier. The Gallade then shivered, before returning to trace his tracks in order to be able to find his master again…

It was like there was something with Kouji and his “legions of feathered avians” going between them, it was usually around the fourth attempt that he’d be able to find something of worth—and the chickens hadn’t failed him, yet. How long would his luck hold out? He knew he was pushing it, but he decided to keep going, because he just had an inkling that there was something better and nicer waiting out there—and as he looked down at the ground, he thought he saw something glimmering in the dirt. Wondering if it was just a trick of the light, he then crouched down and shone the beam of the light down at the patch of musty dirt in front of him.
Just as he was about to reach out for the sparkling thing that he’d seen, he then heard a crumbling noise not too far ahead and suddenly jerked upwards—wondering if there was something that had happened, what had triggered that noise?! He then began looking around, before calling out for his Gallade, “Rymi? Hey, RYMI? Where are you?!” he shouted, looking around the area; hoping that the Gallade would appear. He was now regretting the fact of removing Teleport from his current move set and would make a mental note to add it again—when he heard another scuffling noise, and looked around to see that his Gallade had returned, looking quite ruffled but still composed.
“Don’t tell me… you caused that?” he began, indicating the noise that he’d heard earlier, and the Gallade then nodded quite sheepishly; before quickly diverting his attention to the very thing he was about to pick up. “What…? You want me to get it?” he continued, before looking around once again and then plucking up the thing he’d noticed earlier—the very same one before he got distracted. After brushing off the grit, he then noticed that it was nothing like any of those weird things… and chuckled. “Never failed me. Yet. Come on, Rymi. Let’s get out of here before the weather gets bad,” he continued, and both human and Pokémon left the Ruins in search of a warm place to rest and recover!
