A few days had indeed passed, and this time Izumi was back for another crack at the Mega Ruins—as always, accompanied by her number one “travelling partner” Josh. She’d decided not to reveal any of the Pokémon she had with her—because most of the time it was her Gardevoir who decided to come tag along in the joint whenever they went searching—for the most part. In any case, she’d decided to come dressed for the cold, because even out here in the ruins, winter was definitely coming; the winds that blew through the place were much colder than they were the last few weeks that had passed. Making sure that her scarf was on quite securely around her neck, she then blew on her hands in a bid to keep them warm, before looking over her shoulder to check on her companion.
“Hey, Josh, come on, let’s get going. Don’t want to get stuck in the ruins at night… plus did you just feel that draft of wind? It’s getting much colder now…” she breathed out, making sure to tuck in her shirt—even if she was already wearing a jacket above it. She had on her comfortable pair of hiking boots and a thick pair of jeans as well; but had completely forgotten to bring along some gloves in order to protect her hands. “Let’s search as fast as we can, get the shinies, and get out of here ASAP. I don’t like the sound of that wind howling throughout the area,” she trailed off, and as if on cue, the cold wind blew through the part of the Ruins that they were going to explore—an ominous reminder that they had to get their business done within the day, otherwise they’d be trapped in the Ruins for the night.

Jingle bombs, jingle bombs, hunting shinies all the way. Oh what fun it is to hide When Izumi begins smelly day~
Alas, the holidays were here, but Josh and Izumi had shinies and mega stones to find! Would Izumi find something to combat her "smelliness"? Would Josh ever find that mega stone for Charizard? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z!
Well, not really. But the fact is that Josh and Izumi had been in Nue for awhile, hunting for treasure in these ruins. So far, they'd done well. It was a treasure trove of shinies with bits of junk scattered within as well. But all they could do was hope that things went well this run.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm coming" Josh said as he followed Izumi, Lightning on his shoulder. He nodded a bit. "Yeah... I thought that draft of wind was you" he joked with a cheeky grin. "Alas... Yeah, maybe I should have worn something warmer" he admitted. His jacket was good for most temperatures, but this was really freaking cold, he had to admit. He nodded to her bits about the wind. They should be getting out of here before dark... But would they find something good along the way?
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found an INTRIGUING STONE! Not a Mega Stone but it's still a beautiful stone. It can be sold for a high price to a collector.

“Hey, I did not do that,” she began, retorting—yes, she was able to confirm that the Sassy, Snarky, Scruffmaster had returned and was in full force. Izumi then bit her lips with a grin, before adjusting the scarf around her neck, and continuing on as they walked into the darkness, “I didn’t eat before we headed out here. I figured, you know, search first, chow down later…” before rubbing her hands together again, another attempt to keep them warm. A few moments of shifting and struggling later, a beam of light cut the dim darkness that permeated the Ruins—she’d brought a flash light along. She then shook the thing as the beam faltered for a few moments, before returning in full force. “Always have a flash light. Or two, or three… or four,” she cracked with a grin as she began to shine the beam around; while her other hand was busy rummaging in the jacket—and she’d pulled out another flash light and had tossed it his way; the stark yellow coloration of the casing hopefully catching his attention.
She hoped that he’d catch it in time; because she was now busy, looking around the rooms and trying to sift away some of the overhanging vines that pervaded the area; giving off a smell of…damp mold. The musty, unexplored ruins odor also mingled with the scent of vegetation—to her olfactories it was all messed up; she then sneezed a few moments later and hissed a few choice swear words. As she shone the beam around, she then let it fall to the floor—where something glimmered. She was almost beside herself with joy; until she’d picked it up and then examined it on a more thorough scale. “Huuuuh. Wait a second, this doesn’t look like those marbles…” she began, showing Josh the “imposter stone” in the beam of her flash light. “Be careful if you find one of these…” she continued, letting it drop from her hands and hearing it clink against something on the floor—and she then made a very careful, if somewhat exaggerated, step around the thing and continued deeper in.

He laughed a bit. "Are you suuuuure?" He teased. Yes, Josh The Sassmaster was back in full force. "Well, tell you what. Once we finish out here, I'll treat you to dinner" he said, shooting her a grin. "I think the both of us are starving after all the preparation to get here, and then the exploration itself" he said. "Foods on me. Even if I'll regret that, knowing you" he teased cheekily. As Izumi tried to set up her flashlight, he sighed. "Izumi, let me handle it" He said as he would take out a Pokeball and let out a Pokemon. "Hey, Inferno" Josh said as he would bring out his Typhlosion, Inferno. "Listen, we can't see a fucking thing. You think you could light things up for us?" He asked. "Gra" Inferno let out in response and the flames on his back shot up, giving them a measure of light. Josh smiled a bit. "Thanks Inferno" He said as they kept walking.
Eventually, Izumi appeared to have found something. Josh and Inferno would hang back as Izumi would inspect it, chuckling a bit when she was fuming over it being fake. "Sorry Zuzu" he said, patting her on the shoulder. "Come on, let's keep going" he said as they went deeper. As they went through, Josh noticed something from the corner of his eye. A wall with more cracks then it should. He wondered if it was weaker then the other pieces of the wall too...
"Hmm..." He mused as he stopped to examine it. "Inferno, use Flame Charge!" Josh suddenly called, pointing to the wall. "GHrrrrr..." Inferno began as he was engulfed in a veil of flames. "GRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!" He let out wildly as he would charge into it, destroying that part of the wall. "Wait, what is that?" He asked as he looked in, finding some kind of marble on top of a pedestal. He would grab it, examining it... And nodding. "Definitely a Mega Stone" he said with a smirk as he pocketed it. "Great job, Inferno" He said, patting the Typhlosion on the head as they kept going. "Must be our lucky month, huh Izumi?"

“Heh, I’ll take your word for it. Dinner it is then,” she began with a chuckle; before realizing that Inferno had made his appearance—and had now successfully destroyed the wall not too far ahead from where they were at the moment. Blinking at the sudden…destructive reaction that she was seeing from the Typhlosion, she then watched in utter silence as the two the seemingly went into some sort of room beyond—and then came out with a genuine, bona fide, marble. “Oohhh, lucky you,” she began, still fuming at the fake marble she’d come across not too long ago. Now that one of them had come for what he was searching, she then began to look around, aided somewhat by the light that the Typhlosion was emitting from his mane.
She then clicked off the flash light and then placed it back on her belt, before walking a few steps forward—and then stepping on something. What was that something she’d stepped on? Her face fell; for it was something that she’d happened to have used up at this point in time at least, on one of her five Eevees. “Welp, no. not now. Come on, give me something good…” she said, sighing again as she continued to look around, poking through several other places, trying to see if there was something glimmering in the blackness up ahead. Please give me something good, please give me something good, I don’t want to go home with a bad draw again… she thought to herself as she sharpened her senses and began inspecting everything as thoroughly as she could manage.

He would laugh a bit at her acceptance of the dinner invite. "Guess it's a date then?" He teased playfully, sticking his tongue out at her as he would look the stone over, and then proceeded to pocket it. "I wonder what kind of mega stone this is for?" He asked. "I wonder if we could find a specialist on these stones who can tell us what Pokemon go to each stone? It would certainly help us out" he said. "Or even someone who has a fucking diagram that can tell us what each stone looks like so we can, yknow, identify them on our own"
Josh heard her step on something as well, as her, he, and Inferno walked, before Lightning would let himself out of the ball and climb onto Josh's shoulder. "Pika!" Lightning chirped toward Izumi and Josh chuckled a bit. "Guess you had your nap, huh?" He said. That was really the only time Lightning would go back into his ball after all, if he was exhausted and needed a nap and Josh had no room to carry him outside of his ball. He looked over to see Izumi had found another dud, and snickered.

Who knew that today was going to be another one of those weirder days when things just went into the weird and strange? She could hear Josh poking around, but not really searching, while she continued to root around—before her flash light beam had caught sight of something glimmering in the dust. “Huh…?” she began, an air of curiosity on her face, while looking around and making sure that her eyes weren’t being deceived. She hoped that she wasn’t because then that would be utterly disastrous. If she’d gotten another one of those fake marble-like things again, she’d have a fit right in front of Josh no less. After checking the surroundings completely, she then crouched down and then took a look—and saw that it glimmered in all known colors in the world—and much more.
At first, it was a soft chuckle—which then escalated into something that sounded much like whenever she’d gone off her nuts; before she suddenly remembered that Josh was there with her. She then curbed her laughter as best as she could, before looking at him rather sheepishly. “Sorry about that. It’s just that… look at this,” she began, showing him the suspicious rainbow-colored thing. “I know what it is, yes, but why did it appear? Oh well, I’m keeping it. I know that if the things get weirder, it’s a sign that our luck’s about to turn sour… hey, at least you got a nice shiny rock for all your trouble…” she continued with another chuckle, before pocketing the Key Stone. She’d have to examine it later once they were out of the ruins… and talking about their exploits over that dinner that was promised to her.
