Kouji had decided that enough time had passed, and it was now time to return to the “Mega Ruins” (or whatever they were called) in order to continue searching for the shinies. He was mighty surprised to find out that the rock that his Gallade, Rymista had picked up the last time was apparently associated with the Pokémon that had found it—but he needed further confirmation in order to be able to actually pin down the hypothesis he’d reached at the moment. After making sure that he was appropriately dressed, he then continued down the path where he was headed, his Gallade already out and walking alongside him.“You know the drill, Rymi. If you find anything, bring it to me right away. And… be careful of the traps. I’ve heard some nasty rumors lately that some of the rooms here are still trapped and rigged for activation…” he said with a concerned tone, looking sideways to his companion. Once the Gallade had nodded in agreement; they then continued down into the open maw of the Ruins—they’d decided to explore from another side this time; as opposed to going through the same place where they’d entered before; because those parts had already been ransacked thoroughly. He then reached for his utility belt, and shook a flash light loose; before quickly turning it on and letting the beam pierce the blackness that lay ahead, inviting and tempting them to seek treasures within.

it felt like forever, but the “odd pair” had descended rather deeply into the Ruins—when they heard the wind whistling through the cracks. “Crap… are we that far in?” Kouji breathed, looking sideways at his Gallade; who just stared back a few seconds before nodding solemnly. “Shit, we have to get back outside before night falls. I don’t want to get stuck in this place… who knows what’s going to come out at night,” he added with a nervous chuckle; as he continued to shine the flash light’s beam down at the floor. They’d gone down a seemingly infinite corridor; with no rooms on both sides of the corridors to speak of. Just as the wind was starting to pick up in intensity—were they approaching an exit or something—the beam of the flash light fell on something that was glimmering on the floor not too far ahead. The Gallade then elbowed him as best as he could—without activating the “hidden appendages” that extended from his arms—and that caused Kouji to look down, before noticing something winking up at him out of the blackness. “Oh…?” he began curiously, before crouching down to pick up the thing that was glittering in the dark. As he turned it over and over in his hands, he then realized what it was—it was just like all those weird marbles he’d been picking up on so far! The Gallade then began gesturing at it; before eventually he noticed what was going on—and he then let the Gallade touch it for himself. Unlike the one that he’d found before, this one didn’t cause that sudden “wellspring of power” to flow within the Gallade; and he shook his head. “So… it’s not yours. But it’s similar to it?” he asked, trying to guess what Rymista was thinking. After receiving a rather fervent nod, he then cracked a small grin before standing up. “Alright, this one’s good to go. Shall we find our way out of here then?” he asked his companion; to which the Pokémon nodded rather solemnly once again. definitely claiming! CODED BY SYLVIE
