Nue.
Even the new region had its own Safari Zone; and when Izumi learned that the Safari area of this region was patterned similar to the ones back in the “old world” she cracked a grin. After busting her wallet, buying two more Tags (since they were only allowed to roam free twice a month) and chucking one in cold storage, she then decided to book a trip to the area; bringing along another assortment of ‘mons with her—only leaving Hayato, the Grotle, as a “familiar stand” in the unknown batch. The crew in the Nue region spoke with weird accents, and it took the better part of five minutes before she had managed to hand over her tag and submitted herself to the body search. After being told by the gruff guy who was manning the gate to go ahead, and aforementioned gate was opened, she then squared her shoulders before stepping out into the wild blue yonder. This time, the search was a bit more personal… or so she hoped.
Right off the bat, she plucked out three containment units and sent out their occupants—the first one was a Swablu, who then promptly parked herself atop her mistress’ head like a cute, fluffy cloud hat; while the second beam transformed into Croco, the Croconaw she was now hell-bent on getting evolved in order for her to begin raising her own. The last one turned into something that was apparently the envy of all other known Trainers out there: an Eevee. The catch here was that she already had five, and needed three more to get things going… without accidentally placing the poor thing on the “Banned” list again (as a certain ash-haired Breeder had informed her). Now that the “search party” was complete, she then gave a light whistle, before heading out into the wilds that were marked as “Zone One”.

As the “motley crew” began their walk through the area, the little fluffy Swablu atop Izumi’s head then noticed that there was some movement up ahead—before quickly deciding to alight from her current position and soar on ahead. “Eh…? Saza…what are you up to? Hey, wait!” she began, attempting to chase after the Swablu—when the Eevee and the Croconaw began to growl and followed their companion forward. What had they seen that she hadn’t picked up on? She then scratched her head as she then followed the three—and came to a clearing—where there was a rather aggressive-looking Pinsir, and it had just tossed off something into the distance. She then realized that the stag beetle in front of them was walking on two legs—and it was probably a very bad idea to piss it off. “Erk,” she had time to say before the Pinsir then came charging forward, bearing its impressive-looking horns at the three “invaders”!
Almost immediately, the Swablu sprang into action—boosting its speed with Agility—before circling around the Pinsir, trying to annoy it to chase the little fluff cloud! At the same time, the Croconaw then leapt into action, alongside the Eevee—the Croconaw boosting its own status via Dragon Dance; before letting a loud Screech rip through the area! The Pinsir was then caught off-guard due to the sudden blast of noise, temporarily stunned—and that’s when the Eevee came rushing in, releasing a beam of concentrated star-like projectiles (Swift) before suddenly unleashing some kind of weird aura towards the Swablu, who was seemingly preparing for something! In reality, the Eevee had used Helping Hand, ready to assist the Swablu if necessary. In its own defense, the Pinsir then retaliated, moving a few seconds after the Screech had temporarily stunned it, going right away into a Thrashing rage, trying to catch at least one of the three off-guard and drag it down along with him!
The Swablu flitted out of the Pinsir’s mighty raging throes, before quickly boosting its own defense with Cotton Guard, and then unleashing a blast of draconic energy; powered up by the Eevee’s Helping Hand—it was Dragon Pulse! The wildly-Thrashing Pinsir was just flopping around, letting its limbs fly—when it had smacked the Croconaw upside the jaw, causing it to fly away and come to a crashing halt against a tree! Pleased that it had taken out one of the targets, Izumi then gave a hiss before rushing over to the Croconaw, to check if he was okay. “Hey, Croco. You alright?!” she began, and the Croconaw pulled himself up with a grunt, before flashing a row of teeth in her direction—and then jumping back into the fray! The Eevee was now attempting to draw away the attention of the Pinsir by wagging its tail in a Charm-like action, causing the dazed Bug-type to come to a sudden stop; before feeling rather…disheartened at what he was doing.
Now that the Pinsir was caught in a sudden wave of confusion, the three saw their chance; with Izumi saying only these words, “Do what you must,” before gesturing away with a wave of her hands before leaning against the tree to watch just what the hell was going on with a grin on her face; the three ‘mons then charged at the Pinsir with much gusto—the Eevee soaring in first for a Quick Attack; slamming its body into the Pinsir’s midsection with as much force as she could muster—before backing away and letting another beam of star-like projectiles fly from her mouth, a sign it had used Swift. On the other hand, the Croconaw continued to boost its stats with Dragon Dance until he felt his own body humming form all that power, and then walking seemingly casually right up to the Pinsir—before letting a supercharged Ice Punch fly, socking the PInsir right on the mouth—but it wasn’t done yet! The sock on the jaw that the Croconaw had received really did sting, and out of retaliation, quickly Crunched down on one of the Pinsir’s flailing limbs; before starting to shake him from side to side.
The Eevee continued to spray Swift all over the Pinsir—while the Swablu then let loose with an almighty Moonblast, after the hail of start-shapred projectiles stopped pelting the Bug-type. With one last Crunch, the Croconaw then slugged it upside the face again with another Ice Punch—but by this time the Pinsir had regained his senses; and was quick to retaliate with a Vital Throw, grabbing the Croconaw and sending him flying; before using Seismic Toss on the Eevee who was coming in for another Quick Attack! As the two Pokemon were sent off to one side, the Swablu then realized it was in danger, but not before Izumi gave her an encouraging look; and the little Flying-type then veered in dangerously close—before unleashing what appeared to be an Aerial Ace attack right on the Pinsir’s back, causing the Bug-type to cry out in pain! As the two other ‘mons struggled to pick themselves up, the Swablu continued to use Aerial Ace relentlessly, driving the Pinsir down and away from where they were—and allowing Izumi to approach the other two at last, asking if they were alright, if they could still fight!
After receiving the affirmative from the two; the Swablu then perched herself atop her mistress’ head, and the two banged-up (but still whole) Pokémon assumed their positions at Izumi’s side, they then continued deeper into the fields.

It didn’t take too long for the rather unusual crew (consisting of Izumi and the three Pokemon) to stumble across something—that was not what they were searching for. It looked like some freaky, demented floating Venus Fly-Trap—and it was charging right at them! “Oh, shit!” she hissed, quickly diving out of the way; letting her three cohorts take center stage this time around. She’d noticed that they worked more and more like a cohesive unit; the longer they stayed together—and the Swablu then sprang into action, using Cotton Guard to raise its defenses as much as she could; while the Croconaw then proceeded to power itself up once again with Dragon Dance. Izumi had realized that with every passing encounter, all of the status-boosting moves would eventually fade away; leaving them back at their “base” levels before charging in once again. “Boost, then attack!” she said from the sidelines—she didn’t want to get eaten by this weird thing at the very least.
The Eevee then sprang into action, wagging her tail in a Charming manner—and the Carnivine that was about to rear up and attack with a Bite—but felt quite disheartened instead at the extremely cute moves that the Eevee was pulling off, as the Carnivine closed its moth in order to prepare for a literal frenzy of leaves it was whipping up—a sign that it was about to use Leaf Tornado—the Croconaw then cut across the incoming Carnivine, who was veering in close enough to unleash the literal tornado of leaves at the three—when another powered-up Ice Punch, courtesy of all the Dragon Dancing it had done, came flying! The Carni only had mere seconds to react—which it then did; taking the Ice Punch full in the face—but also unloading the Leaf Tornado right at the Croconaw! As the storm of leaves surrounded it, cutting its way through the Croco’s health—she heard the Croconaw crying out in pain; and that was a bad sign, if any. “Nami! Help Croco! Now!” she shouted once more, and the little Swablu then veered in with a burst of Agility; before unloading an Aerial Ace at close range—as close as she would dare go.
The Carni, who was busy concentrating on the Leaf Tornado that was currently shredding the Croconaw to bits was suddenly caught off-guard as the Aerial Ace had broken its concentration—and there was no way it could block in time! Instead, it then chose to Levitate away from the Swablu—which it now considered a threat. Once the Croconaw was released from the storm of leaves battering it, it then bared its maw of sharp teeth, ready to take a bite out of the distracted Grass-type. At the same time, the Eevee then unloaded Swift on it, watching as the star-shaped projectiles began smacking it upside the head as well as across its body. As the Carni cried out at the sudden “sneak attack” that the three had launched, the Swablu took the chance, quickly unloading a series of Aerial Ace attacks on the surprised Carni, hearing its screech echoing through the clearing, while the Croco took its time; before finally managing to land a Crunch attack on the tendrils that composed the bottom part of the Carni. At this point, the Carni was completely surrounded; and as it vainly tried to use its Spit Up attack—which was a big mistake in itself—it then took another showering of Swift attacks from the Eevee who was running around.
As the Carni came crashing to the ground—the Croconaw scooted away in time; but not before it had suddenly used Ingrain in order to absorb nutrients from the ground. “Oh, boy…” Izumi muttered, smacking a palm to her face as she watched the Carnivine’s injuries fade away; slowly but surely. There was an opening though, and she shouted form the sidelines, “Take it out, take it out,TAKE IT OUT! Before it flies again!” and the three ‘mons then heard their mistress—in one case, just a caretaker—and they immediately leapt at the chance! The Croconaw was now veering in close for a one-two series of Ice Punches; one from the left and the other from the right—while the Eevee then closed the distance with Quick Attack; slamming its brown, furry body against the Carnivine who was now intent on healing itself. The Swablu then veered in close once again with the help of Agility; before unloading another series of Aerial Ace attacks, unblockable by the Carni at extremely close range.
As the plant let out a series of cries; with the hail of attacks coming its way—not even the way it was healing could keep up with the hail storm of attacks that were being tossed at it—it then retaliated at the Swablu with Bite; but ended up missing and snapping at thin air. Right then and there, the one-two combination of Ice Punch attacks smacked the Carnivine across its rather large jaw; and the Croconaw kept up with another series of Ice Punches, before the force finally uprooted it from its Ingrained status. Once it had been knocked free, the Eevee then let loose with Swift—as it was making to take off once again—before finally slamming itself in for another Quick Attack; in order to pin it down so that the Croconaw could come in and finish off the darned thing! It was the Swablu who had the final say, though—as it had suddenly let loose with a powerful Moonblast attack; causing the Eevee to leap out of the way as the ray of lunar energy finally smacked it dead-on; knocking the Carnivine into next week.

By this time, Izumi was already starting to suspect something; the more her companions moved without direction, they were trying to tell her something by this point in time. As they left the scene of the crime where the battered Carnivine lay, the three then suddenly charged forward, leaving her behind all bewildered and shocked! “Hey—hey, wait a second! What are you three up to?!” she shouted, giving chase as the Swablu led the charge; even if her flight pattern was slightly wobbly at this point. The Eevee was following the little white fluff cloud; while the Croconaw was lumbering behind them, a bit slower than he’d have liked because of the battering he’d gotten no thanks to the Carnivine’s Leaf Tornado. As the Trainer struggled to keep up with them, the three had already arrived in another clearing—right where something was waiting. What was that something? She could only blink as she saw that it looked… odd; it was definitely nothing like what she had so far!
Ohohohoho, looks like this search is a success. You’re mine, she thought with an extremely devious grin on her face—but just as she was about to command the three to get going and wear the Chespin down, the Chespin had another plan of its own—by quickly charging in quite recklessly; a Take Down attack! The Eevee was completely unaware of this, and was sent flying a few seconds later; smack into the body of the Croconaw that had moved in time to catch the Eevee. As the brown little “fox” let out a cry of pain, the Swablu then homed in on the Chespin, readying its Aerial Ace—but the Chespin had retaliated with Pin Missile, suddenly turning tail and shooting a barrage of spikes at the aerial combatant! Even if the first two spikes of Pin Missile had missed the Swablu very narrowly, the third and fourth ones hit its fluffy body; and it cried out of shock at being hit! As the Chespin then realized it was out of spikes to shoot, it then attempted to take a Bite out of the Swablu—who then promptly retaliated with the Aerial Ace it was preparing from earlier.
As the guaranteed hit smacked the Chespin up the side of its jaw, it was sent flying across the arena—landing right in a shower of star-shaped projectiles, a product of the Eevee—who was now firing a continuous blast of Swift, peppering it with attacks from all angles as she moved around the field! Seeing that the two had the entire thing covered, Izumi was about to recall the Croconaw—when she saw that he was in the middle of Dragon Dance; boosting his stats so far, so high—that his entire body was now giving off a bluish vapor after he was done. “Uh-oh,” was all she had time for—before the Croconaw threw himself into the fray; delivering a Crunch attack on the startled Chespin, who was trying to fend away the attacks from all sides! The Chespin, however, had a plan—and quickly let loose with Leech Seed after taking the Crunch attack head-on, watching as the seeds suddenly sprouted all over the Croconaw as he backed off in order to plan the next attack! He was about to charge once again when he felt his energy being sapped—it was only then he noticed the vines, and let out a roar of indignation!
The roar of indignation then transformed into a Screech that echoed around the clearing—affecting just the Chespin, and thankfully not his comrades in arms—and the Grass-type was then caught off-guard, stunned for a few seconds as the sound had trapped him in mid-attack. Seeing that this was an open opportunity, the Swablu then quickly fired off draconic energy right at the Ches, who then took the Dragon Pulse full in the face! The Eevee, on the other hand, was now closing the distance with Quick Attack; ramming its own brown body into the Ches’ owm before quickly zipping away and letting loose with another load of Swift, the star-shaped projectiles soaring towards the Chespin who was now trying to dodge! The ray of projectiles smacked it up from all sides, however, while the Croconaw was trying to remove the tendrils of Leech Seed—the more he struggled, the more the Chespin’s health was regenerating—and Ches quickly turned towards the Croconaw, free to use Take Down now that it had a free source of energy that could replenish the health that was shaved off with each successive attack!
As the Take Down attack connected on the Croconaw, who grunted in indignation before letting another Screech fly from his maw, he then decided to hold still—never mind if the energy was draining out of him; lulling the Chespin into a false sense of security. He’d even gotten down on the ground just to make sure that the Ches would fall for it, even! As the Eevee and the Swablu let out a cry of indignation—and the Croconaw was continuously pummeled by the close-range Take Down attacks; both didn’t realize that it was planning something—and after another Take Down attack had slammed into his maw, he then quickly rolled over and slapped his palms to the ground; watching as several rocks suddenly made their presence known; juggling the Chespin up into the air—it had used Rock Slide; in order to send the Grass-type airborne! The Swablu then realized what it was up to; before closing the distance with Agility; and then unloading another succession of Aerial Ace attacks on it; all of the hits connecting on the helpless Chespin!
As the Grass-type finally began to soar down, the Eevee then met it with another shower of star-shaped projectiles; its Swift attack pummeling it; before watching it crash down—and finally, the Eevee knocked the overexerted creature out with another Quick Attack. Seeing that this was the chance she was waiting for, Izumi then walked forward and let the Safari Ball fly at the rather…flattened Chespin, watching as it was sucked up into the beam of red light…

As the coordinated threesome attacks finally came to a stop, and the weird Grass-type sucked into the Safari Ball; she then walked over in order to begin a general inspection—the Eevee and the Swablu were mostly okay; but it was the Croconaw she was most worried about—he’d taken most of the beatings; and looked pretty much ready to flop over and just pass out for a long nap! She then chuckled before brushing her fingers against the Croconaw’s rough skin, before saying, “It’s okay, Croco… you need the most rest. Thank you for standing up and defending Saza and… oh crap, I… I really haven’t given you a name yet, have I?” she began in the Eevee’s direction—who looked kind of reproachful initially, but eventually cuddled up to her. Three pairs of eyes watched as the Safari Ball finally dinged, which caused them to cry out in celebration—and that’s when the sudden burst of light enveloped them all; yes, even the Croconaw who was now slumbering in her cradled arms!
The burst of light temporarily blinded her; and as she felt her own pocket burning—just what the hell was going on—she then tried to blink rapidly, in order to disperse the afterimage of the lights that had been burned onto her retinas. She then shook her head; but instead of seeing three smallish Pokémon, there were now three very large, quite different-looking creatures before her! She then felt a sudden weight on her arms; and quickly let go of the Croconaw—but he was a Croconaw no more—for he’d grown much larger; not to mention much bulkier! The sudden shock of being accidentally dropped on the ground woke Croco up—or rather, Fera, since he was now a Feraligatr! The little fluff cloud was tiny no more—her wings had definitely expanded; and she was now much bigger—and graceful, to boot. As the now-Altaria let out a soothing hum, it was the Eevee’s change that had taken her the most by surprise. Originally, she was aiming for an Espeon—since Josh already had an Umbreon to call his own; but instead of seeing a purplish body with a forked, quivering tail; she was surprised to see that her Eevee’s skin had turned red—and most of her tail was now crackling, on fire!
There was even a regal-looking mane; but what topped off the entire thing was the fact that there was now a tuft of fur atop her head; and even this was generating heat, even from this distance! “Eev… I mean… ugh, damn it, I need to pick your name…” she began sheepishly, before letting the Flareon slowly approach her; and she responded in kind by ticking the Flareon’s chin; an action that she seemingly loved! Now that the three were evolved—she knew that it was time to let the Feraligatr go; because sadly, this wasn’t hers—but the other Totodile waiting for her at the Ranch was! “Time to go, you big ones,” she said with another grin, and she quickly recalled the Feraligatr, the Altaria, and the Flareon back into their respective containment units; before hightailing it out of the Safari Zone.
