With the revelation of the "Nue" Region, Josh's interest had been peaked. So had the interest of Izumi Yamamura, who had discovered these strange ruins... Together, they had decided to take a team of Pokemon with them and explore these ruins for whatever they may find. Rumors said that you could find Mega Stones here, if you looked... But would they find any? Who knows? Josh would wait at the entrance to the ruins, waiting for the arrival of Miss Yamamura. Lightning clung to Josh's shoulder as the scarf-wielding Pikachu would scan the area, just as curious as usual. Where were they? Why weren't they going to the Badlands anymore? Questions ran through the Pikachu's mind... But so did ideas of adventure! He just hoped they would get through this safely. Who knows what troubles could ail them here?
Josh crossed his arms and took a breath. Where in the world was Izumi?

Who knew that the news of the “new finds” would eventually spread out from Kalos—to this new place called “Nue”? Even if Izumi wasn’t one for tradition, she was mightily surprised to find out that after some time, everything would be moving over to this new place—and she still had a lot of unsettled accounts to take care of, in Kalos and Hoenn respectively wondering if the trip would be worth the entire ten yards of moving everything—the family business, the relocation, the Ranch (the start of the logistics nightmare) and all else that held her down in Hoenn, she decided to humor josh and visit the Nue equivalent of the Kalosian Badlands—and was surprised to find out that it was something out of “The Mummy” movies. A city crumbling, in ruins—but minus the flesh-eating scarab beetles—just waiting to be pawed at, explored, violated by any means possible.
She was about to ring Josh’s mobile when she caught sight of the Scruffmaster standing outside one of the side entrances to the ruins—and blinked. Why was he dressed for more adventure? She then took a look at her own things and then realized—did she miss the memo on the dress code of this place? “Ah, crap,” she began, announcing her presence as she stumbled down a rocky hill in order to come to a stop in front of him. “I was expecting desert, it gives us ruins. Oh boy…” she trailed off sheepishly, before looking at her Kalosian wear; and then scanning his own wear critically. “At least I know what to wear next time… shall we get going?” she began, pointing at the entrance that was opened up like a maw, waiting for people to go in and explore the hell out of the place.

He nodded as Izumi made her presence known. "Aye, ready when you are" he said as he would quickly make his way into the ruins. Josh took a breath as they went in. It was a new experience, a new story. He was kind of jittery, he had to admit.. But he knew the first time butterflies would pass. They always did. It was like the first time having sex... Oh wait, he was still a virgin. Uh, it was like the first time riding a bike. Or catching your first Pokemon. Or your first Pokemon battle. You were going to be nervous, a bit iffy about trying new things. But... It was worth it in the end.
It wasn't long though, before their exploration would lead them to a dead end. Josh would walk in and look around. While others might give up and go home, Josh would scour the room until he noticed something shiny hidden under some rocks. He could barely see it when he'd looked around, but his keen eyes noticed it...
It was a Mega Stone... Josh wondered what a mega stone would be doing here. It didn't matter though. He would take it and blow the dust off it before putting it away, nodding to Izumi. He knew the rules about these ruins... One item per session, 4 searches a month. Those were the guidelines.. He supposed.
"Alright, take the lead. Let's see what you can find" he said with a smirk.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found a RELIC BAND! A bracelet made in a civilization about 3,000 years ago. A maniac will buy it for a high price.

It didn’t take too long for their little party to get underway; and sooner or later, one of them would actually find something under all the rubble, winking and sparkling. She vaguely recognized it; but seeing the light in her partner’s eyes meant that it was something he hadn’t acquired yet. “Heh, congrats on getting that marble… now it’s my turn to start looking…” she continued, taking the hallway out of the ruined room and then looking through several other decrepit, run-down areas. Most of them didn’t have anything of interest—as they’d already been stripped bare—and as she was about to enter one of the rooms, she felt her foot hit something, it actually stubbed her toe! “YEOUCH!” she shrieked, hopping backwards on her other leg and steeling herself against the pain—she’d run into something… something that she secretly did not want to see ever again, regardless of the location! “Damn it! I thought the new areas meant more chances for getting the loot, why the heck are these things here, following me?!” she exclaimed, pointing down at the ugly gray Relic item that was now laid bare before them.
“Blergh, and I thought my luck in Kalos was bad enough, this happens…” she grumbled, resisting the urge to aim a kick and send it flying—instead she plucked out a rather worn, battered pink Love Ball. In mere seconds, the flash of red light that had unfolded itself and made her presence known—Momiji, otherwise known as Momo, her rather peculiarly shiny Gardevoir—took the stage. “Momo, be a dear and get that thing out of the way…” she began, pointing down at the object. Wondering what had set her mistress on edge, the Gardevoir shrugged—before its line of vision alighted upon the offending item. With a flick of her arm, the Relic item was wrapped in the Gardy’s invisible telekinetic energy, before levitating said object out of sight. “Thanks Momo. Help me look?” she inquired, gesturing around the area, and the Gardevoir nodded, before setting off alongside Izumi, the better to look for something nice. Now that Josh had found his treasure, she only had three more chances to find something before they would have to retreat—or continue in deeper into the ruins to search for rooms that hadn’t been ransacked yet.

It didn’t take too long for one o the two searching to find something—and it was the Gardevoir who had chanced upon the weird, sparkling thing not too far away from where Izumi was now going through all manner and kind of rubble and whatnot; she could hear Josh snickering in her direction. As she had tossed aside what looked like to be relics from a time long gone, she then bent over to examine something half-stuck in the dirt—and after pulling it out (and discovering that it was just some kind of antiquated spear head that the peoples of long gone had used) and tossing it aside, she was about to throw in the towel when her Gardevoir returned, levitating something just in front of its eye level. There was no mistaking it; it was most definitely something of the round, small, sparkling kind—a marble!
She then saw what was going on, and after obtaining Momo’s permission for her to check the thing that it had found, she quickly fished out her “carrying case” and quickly did an ocular inspection on the marbles she had so far—it was definitely none of them! “Nice… very nice find, Momiji!” she blurted out, before giving the Gardevoir an affectionate pat on the head; and the shiny gardevoir turned red at the sudden burst of affection, before giggling in its own Pokemon dialect. Seeing that she now had a shiny of her own to keep, she then grinned, before quickly dropping it into the carrying case, and tucking it out of sight. “Let’s get out of here… we need to regroup for now. We can return another day,” she said with a genial grin in Josh’s direction. At least today didn’t end in disaster. I’m relieved. I hope the good luck continues… she thought to herself as she followed her traveling partner and companion down and out of the Ruins.
