After she’d given Josh a call and informed him of the little present that she’d found for him, it was time for another joint-effort searching attempt out here at the Badlands. The last time they’d tried this, she’d found one of the marbles that Josh had gotten before she’d found it—but in turn it had led him to suddenly experience a nose dive with his luck when it came to searching for things in the Badlands. Now that I’m here again… we might as well do all of our searching attempts together—because two heads are most certainly better than one… she thought as she then tapped her cheek while waiting for him to appear—she’d decided to wait at the guard’s tent before heading out—because it was better to discuss plans and tactics when the other person involved was right here with her.
She’d already told him to bring enough water for everyone—as she’d already covered the food requirements—in fact most of, if not all, of the contents of her backpack was nothing but sandwiches and several packs of PokeTreats for their Pokémon companions. “Come on, man… where are you…?” she hissed as she began tapping her foot quite impatiently, before reaching for her phone and fiddling around with it. She was itching to call up and leave him another voice mail message; but resisted the urge—it was most likely he was just there and he’d got stuck in the very long line that she’d noticed was starting to snake around the borders of the Badlands. “Come on, man… times a’wastin’… we don’t have the whole month to search… plus those unverified rumors…” she hissed again as she began pacing, still clutching her mobile phone.

Josh had been thrilled about Izumi giving him the Garchompite. It was a shame he didn't have a Gible to use it on later, but he'd handle that himself later. Still, it was the thought that counts, and he was happy to see Izumi had his back after his two back to back disappointing Badlands failures. Josh had managed to regain his composure and get another Badlands run rolling, this time another joint with Izumi. He had hoped this one would bring good luck.
Apparently, Josh had gotten tired of the line. Because before Izumi could impatiently leave him another voice message, a loud roar would be heard above her. A large Charizard, about 8 feet tall, was flying through the sky with a Trainer on it's back. Josh cracked his neck once his found Izumi, and smirked. "Pikachu-Pi!" Lightning chirped from Josh's shoulder as he spotted Izumi. Josh would nod to Fawkes. "Go in for a landing" he told his Charizard. Fawkes would let out a growl before going for a nosedive, before landing in the sand in front of Izumi, caking the poor girl in sand.
Josh laughed a bit as he hopped off Fawkes. "Sorry!" he said, sighing as he walked over and brushed a bit of sand out of her hair. "I'm sure a bit of Lo'real will fix it though" he joked cheekily, grinning. It seems at least his sense of humour had returned.
His Bunnelby, Destructor, didn't even bother waiting. He let himself out of the Pokeball and started digging instantly.

She’d heard the roar, and it was more than enough to make her look up and see a silhouette that was rapidly increasing in size—and astride that silhouette was the one person she was definitely happy to see; and she could only blink and watch as the other silhouette then waved at her and called out; before coming in for a four-point landing that had completely showered her in sand! She could hear him laughing as she shook the sand out of her face; before doing this weird little dance in order to shake out all of the sand that had entered her clothes—and proceeding to give him a light bonk on the head after getting some of the sand out of her hair. “Nice finesse you got there with Fawkes’ landing, man,” she began, the hint of a smirk on her face. “Needs a bit of work though; now I have to take another two showers or so once we get back to Lumiose,” she added with another cheeky grin on her face as she continued to shake out all of the sand that had managed to get itself wedged and lodged all over her.
Once she’d managed to clear her body, her follicles, and her hair of as much sand as she could, she then chuckled as a Bunnelby then made its appearance and began digging right away. Knowing that it was high time to get started, she then grinned, before quickly sending out two of her own: a Lucario with who Josh was now well-acquainted, and a Grotle. The Lucario then made to bow before Josh, before squaring its own shoulders and then starting to move aside piles of dirt (Izumi had explained that it was part of his training; and somehow it was working) while the Grotle shook out the shrubbery on her back; before stamping down on the ground and causing it to erupt in a display of power. “Yeah,” she began in a long, drawn-out voice before grinning, “…Haya’s been digging like that. But if it works for her, then I got no problem with it,” she continued, quickly pulling out her own collapsible shovel before heading out and getting started!
“Come on, let’s go!” she said, already digging through the ground in front of her; and then whistling a tune as she went. It didn’t take too long before her shovel had smacked against something—and that something was…quite interesting, to say the least. As she then carried out the chunk of fossilized amber that she instantly recognized, she then hollered in his direction, “Hey, look. This thing is trying to tell me something…” she continued with a smirk; before gently setting it down and then moving to another spot in order to continue digging. “Sorry to the amber, but I already have one of those, so yeah…” she trailed off, before digging at the new spot. She could now only wonder as to how Josh was faring at this point…

"Sorry about the sand, sweetheart" he said with a chuckle as he grabbed a shovel and started digging. Within the hour, Josh noticed that Izumi had found something. An old amber. He groaned. "They seem so common now... And I've seen three Aerodactyl in my life. What is with them appearing so much?" he asked. "I've seen 3 old amber too... So technically six Aerodactyl. But... Yeah" he said as he watched her set it aside. "Pokemon will take it. They always steal or nab shit we find out here. I don't know what they do with them though... Do they re-bury them?" he questioned, tilting his head.
Finally, Josh's shovel would hit something. "Ah-Hah!" he said as he reached in. It wasn't normal for Josh to find something, normally it was his Pokemon. This was a special case. He pulled out what seemed to be some kind of fossil.
"Huh... Interesting" he said as he looked it over. "Alright Destructor, this is good. Thanks for the help" he said, smiling. "Bunnelby!" Destructor responded as he went to take a break.

She was surprised to see that Josh had decided to knock off early and had claimed something that seemed to be embedded in blue rock—she’d never seen something like it before, and could only guess as to why he’d decided to end his trip a bit prematurely. Izumi then chuckled, before continuing to dig through the dirt—and once she’d heard the distinctive “clink” sound, she then realized; there was something of value in the place where she’d begun her digging! Abandoning the shovel completely, she then slipped on her pair of heavy work gloves and began sifting through the dirt—before she finally came up with something that looked suspiciously familiar—she’d already bought one of them from a former work mate, but if one was to count “actual” find, then this was her “actual” first marble of this kind.
Grinning, she then began, “Well, guess I’ll take a leaf out of your book and knock off early too. Look what I found,” before tossing the sparkling rock up and down in her hands; wondering if Josh would notice it! Izumi then grinned a bit more deviously; before deciding to do something about this rather early find… she knew just what to do with it, in any case. Whistling, she then tucked the marble into a pocket of her shorts, before taking off her work gloves and packing up the stuff that she’d brought along for the day. “Well, we can venture out deeper into the excavation site, what do you think? Rather than waste our supplies right now…” she trailed off, before secretly making a mental note on just what to do with this particular marble.

Josh chuckled a bit as Izumi found hers as well, not sure as to what she was doing with the marble she found, but assumed she'd be keeping it like she did the others. Once she finished, she suggested they just keep going in a new location.
"Honestly? Good idea" he said, nodding as he motioned for his Pokemon to get up and follow along with them. "Probably better then wasting supplies" he agreed. Hopefully their luck would be better this way... Maybe if they got on a roll, they just might find what they were looking for? Only time would tell, he supposed. Josh let out a sigh as he started making his way toward Izumi, since the girl had suddenly decided to get going lickity split! Someone was in a hurry. "Pika!" Lightning chirped as he hopped onto Josh's shoulder. "Bunnelby!" Destructor called as he would hurry and hop along.
