Kouji knew that the month had changed—the decoration that were mostly colored black and orange were popping up all over the place now; plus there was a sudden increase in the sale of pumpkins and… candy. For him, though, everything else was second: it was another month; therefore another four attempts at getting rich quick—or passing along those weird sparkling marbles to his benefactor. He… honestly didn’t know what to do with all the others that he’d found (plus he was practically rolling around in doubles now)… maybe he’d just keep them and collect? He shrugged; as he adjusted the light backpack he brought along with him—he had returned to Kalos after arranging the latest successful breeding attempt that he’d managed to pull off before heading out here. He knew that his assistant would be surprised to be manning the counter so early in the month, but he was going to be here for the next few weeks… or at least until his good luck dried up; whichever came first.
With shovel in hand, he then saw that, as always, the start of the digging season always had the highest turn-out. He wasn’t going to be camping in the Badlands this time, so there was no need for a tent. He’d found a place that he could easily rent out; and chose to stay there instead for the duration of his Kalos trip. Once the line got moving, he then shifted his backpack to the front… and began applying a rather liberal of sun screen all over his exposed arms, legs, neck and face. He was suited up in excavation-site appropriate clothes—light shirt, shorts, durable pair of boots; and then took out a pair of shades and a cap, adding that on to his ensemble as he quickly finished applying all that sun screen. Once he’d gotten to the check point—and was given the go signal to get digging—he then walked out into the Badlands—where everything still looked the same to him. “Let’s get digging…” he muttered, quickly marching off into the heart of the area, looking for a nice place to dig.
After some time, he had found a decent-looking spot, and since he would never travel alone—he then sent out his trusty partner Krookodile, who made its appearance after the flash of red light cleared out. “Well… we’re back. Go nuts, Hie. I know you’ve wanted to dig. Go on, let me know if you find something…” he trailed off, and the Krookodile took off at a running start, before diving into the ground. He then placed his backpack nearby, and then began digging up through the area himself…
